Liberty
I am Liberty-God's daughter!
My symbols-a law and a torch;
Not a sword to threaten slaughter,
Nor a flame to dazzle or scorch;
But a light that the world may see,
And a truth that shall make men free.
I am the sister of Duty,
And I am the sister of Faith;
To-day adored for my beauty,
To-morrow led forth for death.
I am she whom ages prayed for;
Heroes suffered undismayed for;
Whom the martyrs were betrayed for.

Liberty Lighting the World
MAJESTIC warder by the Nation's gate,
Spike-crowned, flame-armed like Agony or Glory,
Holding the tablets of some unknown law,
With gesture eloquent and mute as Fate,—
We stand about thy feet in solemn awe,
Like desert-tribes who seek their Sphinx's story,
And question thee in spirit and in speech:
What art thou? Whence? What comest thou to teach?
What vision hold those introverted eyes
Of Revolutions framed in centuries?
Thy flame — what threat, or guide for sacred way?
Thy tablet — what commandment? What Sinai?
Lo! as the waves make murmur at thy base,
We watch the somber grandeur of thy face,
And ask thee—what thou art.
I am Liberty,—God's daughter!
My symbols—a law and a torch;
Not a sword to threaten slaughter,
Nor a flame to dazzle or scorch;
But a light that the world may see,
And a truth that shall make men free.
I am the sister of Duty,
And I am the sister of Faith;
To-day, adored for my beauty,
To-morrow, led forth to death.
I am she whom ages prayed for;
Heroes suffered undismayed for;
Whom the martyrs were betrayed for!
I am a herald republican from a land grown free under feet of kings;
My radiance, lighting a century's span, a sister's love to Columbia brings.
I am a beacon to ships at sea, and a warning to watchers ashore;
In palace and prairie and street, through me, shall be heard the ominous ocean-roar.
I am a threat to oppression's sin, and a pharos-light to the weak endeavor;
Mine is the love that men may win, but lost—it is lost forever!
Mine are the lovers who deepest pain, with weapon and word still wounding sore;
With sanguined hands they caress and chain, and crown and trample—and still adore!
Cities have flamed in my name, and Death has reaped wild harvest of joy and peace,
Till mine is a voice that stills the breath, my advent an omen that love shall cease!
In My name, timid ones crazed with terror! In My name, Law with a scourging rod!
In My name, Anarchy, Cruelty, Error! I, who am Liberty,—daughter of God!—
Peace! Be still! See my torch uplifted,—
Heedless of Passion or Mammon's cause!
Round my feet are the ages drifted,
Under mine eyes are the rulers sifted,—
Ever, forever, my changeless laws!
I am Liberty! Fame of nation or praise of statute is naught to me;
Freedom is growth and not creation: one man suffers, one man is free.
One brain forges a constitution; but how shall the million souls be won?
Freedom is more than a resolution—he is not free who is free alone.
Justice is mine, and it grows by loving, changing the world like the circling sun;
Evil recedes from the spirit's proving as mist from the hollows when night is done.
I am the test, O silent toilers, holding the scales of error and truth;
Proving the heritage held by spoilers from hard hands empty, and wasted youth.
Hither, ye blind, from your futile banding; know the rights, and the rights are won;
Wrong shall die with the understanding—one truth clear and the work is done.
Nature is higher than Progress or Knowledge, whose need is ninety enslaved for ten;
My word shall stand against mart and college: THE PLANET BELONGS TO ITS LIVING MEN!
And hither, ye weary ones and breathless, searching the seas for a kindly shore,
I am Liberty! patient, deathless—set by Love at the Nation's door.

The Day She Was Born
I remember so vividly the day you were born
That day seemed like it would never end
I prayed you would come to the world safe
and I prayed my mother would come with you
I prayed and I prayed
The first time I held you in my arms
I felt the power of a sister bond
your face glowed with a divine light
the prints on your palms were delicately printed
there were soft stroked of curly black hair decorating your tiny head
When you opened your dark brown eyes
I then realized who I was holding in my arms
My sister, own sister
my little sister
On that day I vowed
to protect you with all my life
to provide you with life
and to be with you all throughout my life..

My sister dont
My sister please dont cry
My sister dry your eyes
My sister don't end your life
My sister your not his wife
My sister he's cold as a snake
My sister he's just a fake
My sister everything will be better when you wake
My sister Ive seen the pills you take
My sister he's full of lies
My sister don't even try
My sister your the one everyone likes
My sister don't start a fight
My sister it ends tonight
My sister I need you, don't end your life

My Sister my sister
My sister holds me tight
My sister kisses me goodnight
My sister knows when I’m mad
My sister helps me when I’m sad
My sister is so smart
My sister has my heart
My sister loves me lots
My sister ties the knots
My sister is here to stay
My sister I have until this very day
My sister I wish you well
My sister yes I can tell
My sister asked if I lied
My sister knows if I’ve cried
My sister has moved away
My sister is in my heart to and will always stay

Sister Sister
Sister Sister
My sister is funny
she likes to eat money
I can't wait till she goes to school
she might have a lot of work to do
I will have to teach her how to spell
I never want to be in hell
My Sister is a tease
She is always making me freeze
She is so great
I do believe in fate
I am only seven
But I know all about heaven
My sister is almost two
I will have to teach her to tie her shoes
My sister I love to death
She is sometimes a mess
My sister i will never forget
She needs to learn not to hit
SISTER SISTER
I love you so
Thank you for being my sister
I will miss you so

My sister My sister
My sister my sister,
Is not the best.
My sister my sister,
Oh give it a rest.
My sister my sister,
Stop with the drama.
My sister my sister,
Dumb as a llama.
My sister my sister,
I'm not supposed to see.
My sister my sister,
Dumb as can be.

Two Sisters
Sylvilla looked into her mirror
Percilla looked into the washing machine
And the drudgery of being wed
She was so jealous of her sister
And her liberty, and her smart young friends
She was so jealous of her sister
Sylvilla looked into the wardrobe
Percilla looked into the frying pan
And the bacon and eggs
And the breakfast is served
She was so jealous of her sister
And her way of life, and her luxury flat
She was so jealous of her sister
She threw away her dirty dishes just to be free again
Her womens weekly magazines just to be free again
And put the children in the nursery just to be free again
Percilla saw her little children
And then decided she was better off
Than the wayward lass that her sister had been
No longer jealous of her sister
So she ran round the house with her curlers on
No longer jealous of her sister

A Sisters
A sister is someone who leads you when you are having a problem.
A sister makes you laugh and cry.
A sister is someone who likes to fight with you.
A sister is the one who stands with you in all your ups and downs.
A sister makes you remember who you really are.
A sister sometimes makes you cry when they are very sad.
A sister is someone who is always there for you through all the laughter and tears.
A sister is real.
A sister never will pretend.
A sister is someone like you whom I treasure everyday in my heart.

Written In Aid Of The Leicester Lunatic Asylum.
Light ye the torch,--
The torch that hath expired;
The light with which was fired
Chamber and hall and porch:
But now the house is dark,
Its inmates rove in vain,
There shines but a bewildering spark:
Light ye the torch again!
Light ye the torch,--
It was a sacred flame,
From God in heaven it came:
All nature ye may search
To find a fire so bright,
And ye shall search in vain:
But quenched is all its glorious light:--
Light ye the torch again!
Light ye the torch,--
The ruthless winds have blown
Its tresses up and down,
Till it did scare and scorch,
Not bless: but one fell blast
Swept howling o'er the plain,
And left all darkness as it past;--
Light ye the torch again!
Light ye the torch,--
And ye shall blessed be:
Till many a bended knee
In chamber and in church
Shall serve ye: merciful,
Mercy ye shall obtain:
Your cup of glory shall be full:--
Light ye the torch again!

Baby Sister.
I have heard people grumble
'I wish I had a sister so humble'
with whom I can share everything
My shoes, my clothes and my earing
A sister who helped me during my projects
A sister whom I always needed for consent
A sister fights with me endlessly
Yet who helps me selflessly
A sister with whom I share all my thoughts
without thinking I should tell her or not
A sister who helps sharing my chores
A sister who sometimes acts too stubborn
A sister whom I boss over
A sister who understands my every fear
A sister who wants me to shop
And when I tease her she begins to hop
Love you dear sister for always being there
I promise for you I'll always be there :)

Hold on to Your Sister! !
Hold on to your sister
She is a part of you.
Hold on to your sister
You can help each other through.
You say “You have No Sister”,
Then look around you friend.
Your sister is right beside you
Waiting to let you in.
Hold on to your sister.
Please don’t push her away.
One day you will look up,
And she will be gone the other way.
Hold on to your sister.
She hasn’t reached perfection yet.
She needs you to help her
To make it through each painful test.
Hold on to your dear sister.
There is something you each must do.
Intercede for one another.
This is required of you

I Was The Child of The Night
I was the child of the night
Dark is my father
The moon is my mother
Star of stars was my sister
I was the child of the night
My father is a symbol of fear and helplessness
My mom is the charm
My sister is the beauty of the night
I was the child of night who afraid of the dark night
Mom, please tell to father i would not like the darkness
But my mother said, need not be afraid, my daughter, my light will always protect you from the dark night.
I always give you a glimmer of light in the darkness.
And see your sister, she was very beautiful among the dark of night.
My daughter, the darkness is tranquility.
Many people would like stay in it although it will make them are scared and helpless because
They are find peace in the darkness.
Sister Moonshine
Ooo-when I was a small boy,
Well, I could see the magic in a day,
But, now Im just a poor boy,
Well, maybe its the price you have to pay,
If you lock your dreams away
If no-one wants to listen.
Whats the story,
I wish Id been a minstrel,
Just think of all the maidens I could call,
Oh-i wish Id been a gypsy,
Then maybe I could read the crystal ball,
cause surrounded by these walls,
Just makes me feel uneasy.
I said hey, sister moonshine
Wont you send me a little sun
I said hey, sister moonshine
Whos a stranger to everyone.
So, -make us all laugh-
Make us all cry
-make us all give-
Make us all try
Give us a secret, show us the light,
Well, strike up the music, light up the sky.
Mmm-if I was a lion,
Well, I could be the king off all the plains,
Mmm-if is was an eagle,
Well, maybe I could fly above the rains,
Oh, fly above the pain
But, I know Im only foolin
I said hey, sister moonshine,
Wont you send me a little sun,
I said hey, sister moonshine,
Whos a stranger to everyone.
So, -make us all laugh-
Make us all cry,
-make us all give-
Make us all cry,
I said hey, sister moonshine
I said hey, sister moonshine,
I said hey, said hey
I said hey, I said hey sister moonshine.

Betrayed
Betrayed by the one who says she loves you
By the one who says she needs you
Above all other men
Betrayed by her fragile, vicious beauty
Her father did his duty
And I lie down betrayed
Justice taught her confidence
Her mother was like steel
Her cousins, theyre all convicts
She alone rose above that wheel
But a motorcyclist no matter how good
Is slave to the oncoming truck
And the poison of her father was
Her most pitiless luck
Betrayed by the one who says she loves you
By the one who says she needs you
Above all other men
Betrayed by her fragile, vicious beauty
Her father did his duty
And I lie down betrayed
Three of us lie in this bed
Night of infamy
One of us lies on our back
Her fathers in her head
And quick she turns and slaps my face
And with her eyes open wide she screams
I hate you, I hate you, I hate you
But shes looking right past me
Betrayed by the one who says she loves you
By the one who says that she needs you
Above all other men
Betrayed by her fragile, vicious beauty
Her father did his duty
And I lie down betrayed
And I lie down betrayed
I lie down betrayed

Fallen Grace
there is a place in hell for you
for each minute suffered, for each day survived
paradise lost to heavens and hells
have we emerged as that fallen grace?
as adam who casts the first stone
as eve who is first raped
sister rise up to take your place
shatter our hearts - rearrange us as one
so I may know beauty as well as hate
sister rise up to take your place
...and she writhes in tear-stained sheets
through fevered nightmares and whispered screams
gifts of filth from a heaven divine
revealer of secrets and bringer of lies
as silently death is companion
through each breath of death she takes
hers is an anguish he can never know or understand
under the shelter of his heaven we dance
and await the violations his angels bring
in this world that is hell
sister rise up to take your place
shatter our hearts - rearrange us as one
so I may know beauty as well as hate
sister rise up to take your place
shatter our hearts and rearrange us as one
have we emerged as that fallen grace?
for she who is lost
for she who is shamed
for she who the world looks black
wonder not whose heaven crushes you
when sin and slavery is all that is offered you

Thank you, sister,
for being there
And letting me know
you will always care.
Thank you, sister
for loving me so
you helped me find
where I wanted to go.
Thank you, sister
when times got bad
you stood by me
as no one had.
Thank you, sister
for being my friend
I will love you until
the very end.
And I thank you, sister
like I have before.
But this time, sister
it means so much more.
