Food In Travel
IF to her eyes' bright lustre I were blind,
No longer would they serve my life to gild.
The will of destiny must be fulfilid,--
This knowing, I withdrew with sadden'd mind.
No further happiness I now could find:
The former longings of my heart were still'd;
I sought her looks alone, whereon to build
My joy in life,--all else was left behind.
Wine's genial glow, the festal banquet gay,
Ease, sleep, and friends, all wonted pleasures glad
I spurn'd, till little there remain'd to prove.
Now calmly through the world I wend my way:
That which I crave may everywhere be had,
With me I bring the one thing needful--love.

Enough For Us to Know
You magnify more than just love in my mind.
I can not define it!
And to say it is love alone...
Seems so limiting.
You bring to me a radiance and glow.
Only my heart feels it without description.
In my head my mind has you there all the time.
I envision us in a togetherness.
A completeness felt,
Others say they can not find.
A void of emptiness I had experienced is gone.
You magnify more than just love in my mind.
I can not define it!
And I waste no time...
Trying to understand why it is you that comes,
To occupy my life like this...
With an easiness for me to welcome.
You bring to me a radiance and glow.
Only my heart feels it without description.
In my head my mind has you there all the time.
I envision us in a togetherness.
A completeness felt,
Others say they can not find.
And I am left feeling happiness for us.
In a devoted loyality...
I neither doubt or question.
Or confuse with lust.
To have such a blessing bestowed...
Is enough for us to know and trust.
As it within us,
Seems to nurture and grow.
Glowing and showing it...
As it grows to glow.
With you and I alone knowing,
What it is that is there to love.
And we are in it to give and receive.
That is all I know we have and can believe.

Unconditional Love
You could give me diamonds
You could give me pearls
Give me all the fast cars
In the world
But there is only one thing
And it's bigger than the sea
The only thing that matters
Is what you've given me
And I say
When I see the bright lights in your eyes
Feel like a bird that's just learned to fly
From now until the end of time
I'm glad you came into my life
My gift sent from above
Unconditional love
You take me as I am
Not who I'm dressed up to be
Looking at you tells me
The best things in life are free
You're the blessing that I treasure
With heart so true
No one ever touched me
The way that you do
And I say
When I see the bright lights in your eyes
Feel like a bird that's just learned to fly
From now until the end of time
I'm glad you came into my life
My gift sent from above
Unconditional love
With your innocence you opened up my heart
I knew that I would love you right from the very start
You turned my life around showed me a better way
Thoughts of you will always make me have a brighter day
When I'm by your side it helps to see me through
Can't express all the happiness when I'm with you
A gift from up above the one I'm dreaming of
I'll always cherish you my unconditional love
When I see the bright lights in your eyes
Feel like a bird that's just learned to fly
From now until the end of time
I'm glad you came into my life (I'm glad you came into my life)
My gift sent from above
Unconditional love

Fate vs Destiny
To find your true happiness tempt fate to discover your destiny.
You must hearken back to when real happiness was known
Remember its impact on your life
Opportunity knocks, open the door, you will see it coming.
You may be surprised to discover fate can mask your destiny.
Your fate and your destiny are not one in the same.
Your fate is what you settle for in life.
What you take as your life marches on day by day, an obligation to life.
Destiny is the gate you find at the end of the path you blaze
As you strive to attain life’s goal open the gate and find love,
Happiness and contentment; true peace of heart and mind.
Fate may leave you at destiny’s gate at the end of life.
Knowing only the travails of your battles to achieve life’s goal
Knowing not the sweetness of your victories.
The gate may not be open, leaving you empty
At the end of life's journey.
The path to your destiny is yours and yours alone
Ask yourself whether you wish to settle for your fate or…
Tempt your fate and discover the path.
The dark side of life; fear and self doubt can blur and cover the path.
Not always seen in the clear; hidden in your memory
Or on the full plate before you the path is always there.
Those who have known the depth of their love, the strength of their spirit,
Will find a guiding light illuminates their path.
In these qualities of character you will discover your true self
And the key to unlock the gate.
You will recognize the guide of your light.
The choice is yours, settle for fate or follow the light,
Find the key, unlock the gate … discover your destiny.

Peer Pressure, Identity, and Acceptance
Just not fitting in
Where's those people?
Is there anyone like me?
Am I supposed to be like them?
Just not fitting in
I want acceptance they don't want me
They want me to compromise
This isn't who I am
Who am I anyways?
It's only temporary.... right?
I can't lose myself cause I'm....well I'm me
I need acceptance they're like a distant dream
They're staring right through me
They're speaking to me out of sympathy
They see through my act
They see.... no they couldn't
Who are they anyways?
I guess I'll call them..... well, they're friends
They're all I got
I crave acceptance
The pangs of loneliness
No it's not that
Not quite
As much as I crave acceptance
I think deep down
I don't want to have to change
I think deep down
If I could speculate about myself
Deep down I want to be me
But who.... who am I? I can't remember or maybe....
Maybe there's nothing to remember
Just fitting in
Has changed me
Where can I get real acceptance
Would anyone just care about me even knowing that I was me?
I can't even love me, I don't want to feed me, I don't want to help me
Why would they?
Is there anyone who'd just want me, even if they knew it was me?
Acceptance
It's not just a commodity, it's a necessity
So I found acceptance
It took my life but I'd gladly give it up again
It's better that I no longer live
Well in the my old definition of life
This.... this is life
It's acceptance
I found acceptance with the one I deserved it from the least
Someone I never did anything for
One of my greatest enemies
That's why this acceptance
This forgiveness
This love
Changed me
From the inside
Out
I think I found part of me, I must show my friends
Or that's what I thought
Because the cruel reality of the world is that it
Denies us that one thing that we need to survive that one thing we crave
Acceptance
When I told them He loved me
I lost what little friends I did have
But I have more than I've had
Because I have
Acceptance

Greater Love
All of my life I've dreamed a love would come to me
It's here and now I know it's more that and other love could be
I never though I'd know someone who loved me so
To go as for to die that His love for me would show
I searched all over but I still couldn't find
Someone to give me love to heal my hurt and ease my mind
I sought affection tried everything new
Didn't even know that I was lost without a clue
Chorus:
You have opened my eyes to a greater love
You have opened my eyes to a greater love
I used to be so blind but now it's clear to me
How your love was displayed by what you did on Calvary
I've got to tell the world that they might hurt you
To find what I've found to really see how
You have captured my soul, you have made me whole
You have set me free 'cause I have given you control
you have mended my heart and I have been redesigned
Lord with everything you are, you have been blowin' my mind
(chorus)
It's an eternal fantasy that will never, ever change
And you know He's rearranged my life
It's and eternal fantasy that will never go away
'Cause it's true R-E-A-L-I-T-Y

Hymn for a Little Child
God make my life a little light,
Within the world to glow;
A little flame that burneth bright,
Wherever I may go.
God make my life a little flower,
That giveth joy to all,
Content to bloom in native bower,
Although its place be small.
God make my life a little song,
That comforteth the sad;
That helpeth others to be strong,
And makes the singer glad.
God make my life a little staff
Whereon the weak may rest,
That so what health and strength I have
May serve my neighbours best.
God make my life a little hymn
Of tenderness and praise;
Of faith - that never waxeth dim,
In all his wondrous ways.

Shoulders Support The World
There comes a time when we no longer say: my God.
A time of absolute purity.
A time when we no longer say: my love.
Because love proved useless.
And eyes don’t cry.
And hands only weave in rough work.
And the heart is dry.
Women knock at the door in vain, don’t open it.
You stay alone, the light goes out,
and in the dark your eyes glow enormous.
-Carlos Drummond De Andrade
translated from the Portuguese by Len Sousa
You’re convinced, you no longer know suffering.
And you expect nothing from friends.
Old age matters little, what is old age?
Your shoulders support the world
and it weighs no more than a child’s hand.
The wars, famines, and talks in buildings
only prove that life goes on
and not all have freed themselves yet.
Some, finding the spectacle barbarous,
prefer (the delicates) to die.
There comes a time when there’s no point in dying.
There comes a time when life is an order.
Merely life, without perplexity.

Open Your Heart
Don't let the sun go down on me
Open your heart
Just let me be your destiny
Open your heart
What I never felt before
I really need you more and more
Don't let the sun go down on me
Open your heart
Open your heart
Open your heart
Open your heart
Open your heart
Open your heart
Even when you're far away
You're on my mind, every night and day
Don't let me live without a goal
Deep inside you are my soul
I've been fooled by love so many times
I've been blind, I've seen no signs
You're the one for me, we'll never part
Stay with me and open your heart
I can't express what's goin' on
I feel so lonely when you're gone
Is it real or is it fake
Am I dreaming, am I awake
You're the one I have been waiting for
I can't hold it back no more
You're the one for me, we'll never part
Stay with me and open your heart
I need you, don't let the sun, go down on me
Count on me, let me be your destiny,
See you got the key, to my Heart
We'll never part, from the start till the end of time,
You' re always mine, take a glass of wine
And let the sun shine, find out,
What is right or wrong,
What's going on, I feel lonely when you're gone
You're style is Magic - you hypnotise me
You came into my life, set me free
Light and energy, all around the galaxy
You made it brighter so that I could see
Like a melody in ecstasy,
See our love will last, eternally
Seems that your life is the golden key
Don't let the sun go down on me

The World You Live In
Joe and suzie melson
May the world you live in bring the good life
That grows sweeter as it mellows with time
May the world you live in be a world love lives in
A love like your love and mine
May the children you bear bring contentment
As you guide them with your gentle hand
May you know all the things true love can bring
Between a woman and a man
May the dreams that you build always be filled
Keep the love shining in your eyes
If the bad times or the sad times ever come to you
Let this man be the one that you always turn to
May the seasons of your life touch you gently
And may happiness you always find
May these arms that surround you always be around you
And the world that you live in forever be mine

Is Your Life Worth Living?
Life is breathing –
I have life
My heart flutters
In its breeze,
I pile money
So my life is full of ease.
Life is working –
I have life
My heart flutters
Beneath its strain,
I work and work
So my life keeps on going.
Life is enjoying
I have life
My heart flutters
For all pleasures,
I drink and dance and eat
So my life is lounging lazily.
Life is loving –
I have life
My heart flutters
In ecstasy,
I love all
So my life is full of joy.
Life is serving –
I want more life
My heart flutters
For other’s worries,
I serve and help
So my life aims heavenly heights.

Unlimited space
Glory and fame may sparkle the mind
Heart may also beat slowly and synchronize with new find
nothing is shaken or moved away with blow of heavy wind
it is pure love and feeling of its own kind
I shall long for it with utmost faith
It will remain forever till the death
To live for own sake is no Herculean job
One feels guilty or being robbed
I want to create some position or space
I want it to be done quietly without any race
I want to bring happiness and brightness on face
It must remain there as unique case
I must be very clear in mind to create space?
I should ask for surety to self in case
How to ask any one “will you provide me any space”?
There should not be uncertainty and I must eventually brace
Heavenly bodies may laugh at me but still bless
Nothing will be left out of it just to trace
Only love and not the hate may find the way
Why one should think of desertion and to go away?
It is likely to happen that I shall live no longer
Love and friendship may grow even stronger
we are not the only one in this world to live as stranger
why don’t you rest in my arm as an adult an not teenager?
Is it is difficult to spread the message of love?
Calm water may allow the refuge to doves
Rainbow may not feel shy at colorful union
We may sail through the storm as ideal companion
Oh, God shower your bless and mercy
I pray only for her health not out of pity
Life may move on with her simple desire
I may merely surrender to her and admire
I don’t know what’s in store
I wish nothing less nothing more
Let her be the only one and not prove as stone wall
All stars must twinkle when she makes final call
She has done all her best
Choice was proving as difficult test
Every thing went off smoothly as memorable event
No chance of regret was there as it was heavenly seen
It is difficult to create space in human being
It may not succeed for any changes to bring
Lady luck may smile and bring the fortune
One may opt to go for it and dance to the tune
The pair is created not here but in His courtroom
The flowers in garden are raised to boom
We must live peacefully together and thank
Almighty the great who was merciful and frank

Happy Engagement Tara and Ezra
To two good friends
May happiness be with you always.
Love has sometimes a strange way
of bonding people together.
It has to sometimes show them
what they would be like
without one another.
My friends know only too well this is true
and the heartaches it brings.
Then getting back together,
they find love stronger than before.
Love cements this bond
with an engagement,
a commitment to one another
to journey on into future happiness.
In a world filled with troubles and strife
no road into the future
is only filled with happiness.
Sometimes that road maybe rocky
and other times heaven sent.
No matter what the road may be like,
you can ride out any storm,
so long as you remember,
every storm can bring love closer
than it was before.
You will find more happiness
than you realised you had.
The deeper love grows the longer it will last.
Therefore my two friends
I dedicate this poem to you.
May your lives be filled
with the happiness you both so richly deserve.
Happy Engagement to you both
and a long and prosperous life together.
It comes with love,
from David and Vera

The Broken Heart
Can i ever forget that you ever existed in my heart,
Knowing the pain it caused me deep down my heart.
Each time i think of how it all got to this very point,
Only helps to send shock waves down my spines and joints.
It seems the joy you brought to my life,
Was cut short before it even began with a knife.
It seems you lasted just for few days,
While deep down my heart i long for you everyday.
Wishing and hoping we can go back to the day i found you,
When the whole of my life changed to brand new.
Bringing to me the happiness i never once felt before,
And an ebullient love i once hoped for.
You gave me hope for a better tomorrow,
By erasing all of my unending sorrows.
You gave me a great sense of humour,
Each time there is a scene of a tumour.
You made my life as sweet as it can be,
Even when there are things that can sting me like a bee.
How can i forget that amazing smile of yours,
That kept me dazzling beyond many hours.
How about the joy you gave me knowing that you are my best friend,
Went a long way to bring all my fears to an end.
And then every thing fell apart,
The very moment you left by breaking my heart.
First you made every thing seems like an horrible nightmare,
And brought to me an emotional darkness in an hare.
You turned every Grimes of happiness to pain,
And every traces of love to lain.
Making my eyes abated with tears,
More than what my heart can bear.
Pain of a broken heart is all i can feel,
And the aching of a bleeding knee.
All i have now is an empty and shattered heart,
That needs a taste of a rebirth.
It all happened very fast,
And now i'll try to put every thing in the past.
And keep hoping for a better future,
Without the glance of your picture.
All i know is that no matter the way it may seem,
You'll forever in my heart remain evergreen.

Im Glad
Baby when I think about (about about),
The day that we first met (the day that we first met),
Wasnt looking for what I found,
But I found you,
And Im bound to,
Find happiness in being around you,
Im glad when Im making love to you,
Im glad for the way you make me feel,
I love it cause you seem to blow my mind..every-time,
Im glad when we walk you hold my hand,
Im glad that ya know how to be a man,
Im glad that you came into my life,
Im soo glad,
I dig the way that you get down (you get down for bout),
And you still know how to hold me (and you still know how to hold me),
A perfect blend, masculine (I think I know now)
I think Im in love, damn finally,
Im glad when Im making love to you,
Im glad for the way you make me feel,
I love it cause you seem to blow my mind..every-time,
Im glad when we walk you hold my hand,
Im glad that ya know how to be a man,
Im glad that you came into my life,
Im soo glad,
Im glad,
That you,
Turned out,
To be,
That certain someone special who makes this life worth living,
Im glad,
Your here,
Just loving me...
So say that you wont leave,
Cause since the day you came Ive been glad,
Im glad when Im making love to you,
Im glad for the way you make me feel,
I love it cause you seem to blow my mind..everytime,
Im glad when we walk you hold my hand,
Im glad that ya know how to be a man,
Im glad that you came into my life,
Im soo glad,

Friends & friendships
As gently as the breeze,
You touch my everyday.
Your closeness comforts me,
Fills colors in a world that's gray.
You bring warmth,
With your words of care.
Which make me feel precious,
More than I hope to dare.
Even after you have left,
In my ears, your laughter resounds.
Listening to which, even today,
My joy knows no bounds.
I still see your twinkling eyes
Who promise me life's fun.
When you are in my thoughts,
Life seems a dream run.
When I am low,
You become the breeze.
Lift my spirits,
Make my worries freeze.
When I feel left out,
All alone in the cold.
You become the glowing warmth
That embraces me in its folds.
I don't know where I would have been,
Had you not been there to protect me from the unseen.
I will sacrifice my sleep,
To await your call.
And miss you every time,
I see the rain fall.
I will pray for you,
Every night before I sleep.
And selfishly add a wish,
To see you in my dreams till the alarm beep.
I will miss you from the moment,
I open my eyes.
And continue to do that
Till my heart dies.
On this friendship's day,
I want to say,
I love you very much.
Your presence makes my day.
All the friends in the world,
Remind me of you.
No matter how many times I have said it before
I will still say - I love you.

God's Ester & Eyes Of Love
ESTHER
Esther of God's Bible became a king's queen
Risking all for the sake of love.
She saved her people form total extinction
By responding to her call from above.
All through history just like Esther
Ladies have pledged to protect and serve.
They love, honor, defend and provide
And it's our admiration they've earned and deserve.
What would life be without a woman's love
Meaningless, lonely, purposeless and sad.
When your blessed by an Esther love her in return
And be sure to let God know you're thankful and glad.
EYES OF LOVE
A mind may see a thousand eyes
Though the heart yearns for two
When the eyes we love have up and gone
To the arms of someone new.
Eyes that twinkle, I distrust
For they are the distant stars.
Eyes in love have a steady glow
Like Venus, the Moon or Mars.
Eyes of love, like planets at night
Use borrowed light to shine.
Eyes are the living lenses
To the camera of our mind.
Eyes tend to believe themselves
Like the blind love of mothers.
Eyes speak without words
To the hearts and souls of others.
LOVE
No rope or cable can hold so tight
What love can do with twine.
No kiss can taste so bittersweet
As the one which captures our mind.
The first sign of love is the last of wisdom
As eager hearts fulfill desire.
Love is just a staple of life
Though heaven sparks the fire.
Heaven knows no rage like love
Once to hatred it has turned.
How wise are we who are such fools
Who forget the lessons we've learned.
Love, indeed, descends from heaven
Like a shooting star across the sky.
Love sometimes stirs the dust,
Till tears fall free from the eye.

The Banquet
A banquet for two,
A joyous occasion;
Of wine foe a lamb,
A momentous victory;
A little wine curbs gallstones.
I have my mind on you and,
You have your mind on me too;
So, we have to meet one day.
The juice of fruits,
Distilled from honey;
Like a drink for two at a banquet.
I have my mind on you,
Like the lamb which was sacrificed;
You have your mind on me too like,
The food which was eaten;
This is the mixture of the muse that bubbles.
A banquet for two,
The joy of a muse;
True love is all that takes us to this banquet.

A Flower-Piece By Fantin
Heart's ease or pansy, pleasure or thought,
Which would the picture give us of these?
Surely the heart that conceived it sought
Heart's ease.
Surely by glad and divine degrees
The heart impelling the hand that wrought
Wrought comfort here for a soul's disease.
Deep flowers, with lustre and darkness fraught,
From glass that gleams as the chill still seas
Lean and lend for a heart distraught
Heart's ease.

Realize The Truth
When you are upset
From fighting with friends,
To crying about a low mark
Remember the times
When you were filled with joy.
The joy
Of finding your favorite board game
Wrapped as a present for you.
The joy
Of realizing you’re going
To Disney Land.
The joy
Of meeting your friends
After a month or two.
And realize the truth
For joy does not happen from luck
But from the way you see the world
Always try your best
To make your sorrows vanish
It’s not worth your time
To stay upset at all
Apologize and make up with your friends
Vow to work harder for school
For every thing in this world
Shall have a
Bright and Dark side
Your life’s happiness
Depends on you, controlled by you
By the way you see
By the way you react
If you want to live in joy,
Peace,
Happiness
Learn
To
Find
The
Bright
Side
Of
