Her Zebra Painted Legs.
As when Pinochet seized control of La moneda in santiago neon sunrise.
I see you as a Pinata
exploding at the temples and the beaches, Like a blown safe.
From you I see:
wax lips,
plastic diamond rings,
Crackerjack prizes.
stained popsicle sticks,
lolipop flutes,
Shadows like nylon tights nailed to my feet.
wooden hands,
screams,
firecrackers,
crayons,
sugar cubes,
falcon feathers,
tiny umbrellas,
and all your marbles spilling... spilling...spilling... beneath my painted zebra legs
I hate seeing your head breaking.

Have It All
You're my size I need to try you on
Someone in between the right and wrong
Through everything you kept your wings apart
Through everything you scared the sinners
And when I've had enough
She drains me
When I'm empty
She helps herself
She takes it all
In too deep
She's spilling over me
In too deep
She's spilling over me
Don't wanna hear
Running through this maze you hold me in
Searching in a daze to find the out
Through everything you left your wings apart
I'm everything I'm anyone you want
And when I've had enough
She drains me
When I'm empty
She helps herself
She takes it all
In too deep
She's spilling over me
In too deep
She's spilling over me
Don't wanna hear
I'm everything you're everything I'm not
I'm anything I'm anyone you want
She drains me
When I'm empty
She helps herself
She takes it all
In too deep
She's spilling over me
In too deep
She's spilling over me
In too deep
She's spilling over me
In too deep
She's spilling over me

Denial
Denial
Denial
Denial
Isn't that it - denial?
But know that I love you
And know that it's true
And pure and soulful,
Just beautiful!
But
It's spilling over,
Spilling over,
Spilling over,
Spilling over into desire;
Desire to touch you,
Desire to hold you,
And that just wouldn't do!
Hence I fear
I fear for the purity,
I fear for the soulfulness;
So do I choose to
Live the lonesomeness
Of
Denying
Denying
Denying
Your eyes?

Remebering The Never Again
bring me in
let me in
I'll promise to defend for everything that's been given
your driving me nuts
your spilling my blood and guts
hello my friend
the demon have come to me
they made whispers louder then thunder
they told me i better not make another blunder
or my fun would be over
bring me in
let me in
I'll promise to promise to defend for everything was given
your driving me nuts
your spilling my blood and guts
hello again
I'm going to try to mend somethings
over and over again
i kneel down
just to feel something so real
a kiss goodnight
and the rooms goes dark
i shut the door
never to venture back anymore
bring me in
let me in
I'll promise to defend everything that was given
your driving me nuts
your spilling my blood and guts
hello for the last time
i guess things have changed
and that's fine
i really don't mind
kind as you are
your still to far
your picture i have captured in a jar
forever embedded in my jagged memories
bring me in
let me in
ill promise to defend everything that was given
your driving me nuts
your spilling my blood guts
but its finally over
over oh over

Lovestruck
Lovestruck
Staggering home, the headlights throw a shadow up and upon
Friends and loved-ones that have done no wrong,
But no longer mean anything to me.
Oh am I mumbling on, into a crystal glass that echoes a song?
The enticement invites you along a path of exterior colour.
But come the morning, shivering and contorting,
To border on the brink for just another sink - oh take me down,
For one more round.
Oh, involve me in libation, stick a rock in my foundation,
I pick all my relations, put me on probation - oh Ill take you down,
For one last round.
Oh, lovestruck, Ive fallen for a lamppost,
Giving her my utmost, spilling out my deepest feelings.
Lovestruck, Ive fallen for a lamppost,
Giving her my utmost, spilling out my deepest feelings.
Now all I want to do is snuggle up to you.
A night-cap in the early morning dew.
Look, what have I become? dispensing myself so far and from
But gazing out I waved the night boat on,
For now its heaven in deepest tottenham.
Oh, what have I done to deserve this fate? its all going wrong
Even the cab fare has been and gone
And now Im lagging in deepest tottenham.
But come the morning, shivering and contorting,
To border on the brink for just another sink - oh take me down,
For one more round.
Yeah, lovestruck, Ive fallen for a lamppost,
Giving her my utmost, spilling out my deepest feelings.
Lovestruck, Ive fallen for a lamppost,
Giving her my utmost, spilling out my deepest feelings.
Fight me, fight me, strike me down with lightning,
Ive given in to fighting.
Now all I want to do is get up close to you.
A night-cap in the early morning dew.
Oh, lovestruck, Ive fallen for a lamppost,
Giving her my utmost, spilling out my deepest feelings.
Lovestruck, Ive fallen for a lamppost,
Giving her my utmost, spilling out my deepest feelings.
Lovestruck, Ive fallen for a lamppost,
Im giving it my utmost, Ive fallen for a lamppost,
With my deepest feelings.
Now all I want to do is snuggle up to you.
A night-cap in the early morning dew.

Get Up Good
I want to get up good,
And go to work, easy open sky work,
Like the open lips of love-letters:
Good easy work,
Like being back in preschool and going on
Field trips to the
Naked galleries in the over spilling
Art museum,
Inebriate, leggy women- their first explosions
Of chartreuse rhapsody,
The easy, every day spilling spume,
The alarm systems and identical sisters colonnading
The rosy earth, and I don’t want to every have
To get up again with a tooth ache,
With a bend; I don’t want to ever have to skip school
Again,
With these two legs, or a bicycle to listen to a lion’s
Stomach growling all day while watching
Cartoons and the trash the housewives are made
To watch in stagnant captivation:
I want the carnivals of work, under fluttering cerulean
Tarps or out in the open sky under the riotous
Tracks of slash pines,
Giving up into them easy, sluicing words of gusto,
Being a gentleman and passing my time,
Never having to escape to the other side of the
Canal again,
Just dreaming of her out in the open, putting it softly
To her throat,
In a way that should never have to be explained to any
Other of my less stranger sort of kind.

Blood Red
Peaceful confrontation meet war machine
Seizing all civil liberties
Honest ballotation among banshee
Spilling blood throughout humanity
You cannot hide the face of death
Oppression ruled by bloodshed
No disguise can deface evil
The massacre of innocent people
Deviated lies fear blinding on your eyes
Enforcing their truth through a gun
Aggressive discipline and barbaric control
Thousands of people cannot be wrong
You cannot hide the face of death
Oppression ruled by bloodshed
No disguise can hide the evil
That stains the primitive sickle
Blood red
Growing opposition with words as ammunition
Expressions of life's liberties
Aggressive discipline and barbaric control
Spilling blood throughout humanity

The Broom In My Hands
we walk the edge of suicidal silence,
sweeping shadows beneath curtains
with brooms made of straw.
while somewhere soupbones
boil in the pot,
and the sound of coffee making
startles children's trains on tiny tracks..
the heroin news grates against the mind,
and dogs wait in silent anticipation.
Jesus dies again, a matinee,
the Bill Of Rights stutters
neath a thin layer of dirt.
travelling shoe salesmen grope lady's legs,
and old men on park benches
peer over bifocals.
the woman ironing, in her bra and panties,
quietly curses, with trembling hands!
bare chested men split wood in the sun,
while boys tinker on cars with oily hearts.
the soldier returned home to no home,
hangs himself from the rafters.
a picture of his baby boy,
falls from his pockets.
crows gather on a wooden fence rail,
the young woman lights a crack pipe,
staring at naked walls.
while dead bodies march in lines that rhyme,
with buildings left empty,
and mailboxes spilling over.
the soft silk of the thigh,
and the lip turned up...
names whispered and lost,
small rooms speak of distance.
be it love, be it madness,
the clock falls from the wall.
and nothing feels real....
except the broom in my hands!

Everything In Its Own Time
Remember everything I told you
Keep it in your heart like a stone
And when the winds have blown things round and back again
What was once your pain will be your home
All around the table the white haired men have gathered
Spilling their sons blood like table wine
(spilling their sons blood)
Remember everything I told you
Everything in its own time
The music whispers you in urgency
Hold fast to that languageless connection
A thread of known that was unknown and unseen seen
Dangling from inside the fifth direction
(dangling from inside the fifth direction)
Boys around the table are mapping out their strategies
Kings all of mountains one day dust
A lesson learned a loving God and things in their own time
In nothing more do I trust
We own nothing
Nothing is ours
Not even love so fierce it burns like baby stars
But this poverty is our greatest gift
(nothing is ours)
The weightlessness of us as things around begin to shift
(the weightlessness as things begin to shift)
Remember everything I told you
(remember everything I told you)
Keep it in your heart like a stone
(keep it in your heart like a stone)
And when the winds have blown things round and back again
(when the winds have blown things round)
What was once your pain will be your home
Everything in its own time
Everything in its own time
Oh
Oh
Oh
Oh

He Was My Sun
He was my sun, my one and only son,
and dressed up as a cowboy for the day.
And so I handed him a little gun
of fastened random sticks, for him to shoot and play.
And dressed up as a cowboy for the day
he found some foes (with bows and arrows made
of fastened random sticks for them) to shoot, and play
the part of redskins in a mock charade.
He found some foes (with bows and arrows made)
in his story books before he left for school.
The parts of redskins, in a mock charade,
were painted with a crimson war paint, oh so cruel.
In history books, before he left from school -
the tales they told, of victories that we'd won,
were painted with a crimson war paint, oh so cruel -
the flow of paint was hard to staunch when once begun.
From tales they told, of victories that we'd won,
he learned to fight for god and country glory, though
the flow of pain, 'twas hard to staunch when once begun
and cruel to both sides (as he'd later come to know) .
He learned to fight for god and country glory, though
the wounds of war were still unseen (though nigh)
and cruel to both sides (as we'd later come to know):
and soon he stuffed his bag with several things of youth and said goodbye.
The wounds of war were still unseen. Though nigh,
the hours boomed, the clock struck 12, before his time to leave,
and soon he stuffed his bag with several things of youth and said goodbye
to those who'd stay and even those who didn't grieve.
The hours boomed, the clock struck 12, before his time to leave -
they brought back bags they'd stuffed with severed things of those who'd died
to those who'd stayed. And even those who didn't grieve
with tears were stiff, and hid in wooden boxes meant to hide.
They brought back bags they'd stuffed with severed things of those who'd died.
They brought his boots back, camouflaged with mud.
With tears, the stiff were hid in wooden boxes meant to hide
our children from the spilling of their blood.
They brought his boots back, camouflaged with mud.
They said they'd needed him to help defend
our children from the spilling of their blood.
But can they ever see or really comprehend?
They said they'd needed him to help defend,
and so they handed him a little gun.
But can they ever see or really comprehend?
He was my sun, my one and only son...

You Are
you are...
the swollen tongue of destiny,
spilling from the mouth.
the lips of hunger,
swallowing the sword.
the rose petal fallen,
shaking the ground like thunder.
the beating sound of wings,
shaking the skies.
you are...
the block wall laid,
with skill and precision.
the smell of turnips,
boiling on the stove.
the cupboard door open,
a full bag of sugar.
clothes worn to revival,
drenched with redemption.
you are...
the bridge between, I and thou...

Why is there Oil?
Why is there oil I asked one night,
and a startling answer came into sight.
It’s Mother’s Earth’s blood, that is what oil is,
It’s Sacred and my blood to share.
Be wise in your pumping
Man is not to do wrong with this blood,
For it’s not to be shed so humans end up dead
for here is what she seriously said:
“You are pumping the blood right out of ME,
Which makes ME very Sad,
The spilling has greatly affected
My Land
and my Ocean,
Which has caused a commontion
.
There is a better way,
Let Your
CONSCIOUS take the LEAD…
…Please take heed.'

You Never Know
Sun still stone
Watching
We walk by them and hear voices yeah
No one ever stops to talk of things we'd rather do
They never did
What if God shuffled by
One day we might say
We're angry not afraid
Like breathing just to breathe
That we might find some reason
But there's much to go round
That's what's wrong with the world
Don't lose the dreams inside your head
They're only there until you're dead
Dream
Lying on the roof
Counting
The stars that fill the sky
Wondering why
Someone out there really isn't looking back down on me
You never know
So much space to believe
Only when you're small
A moment follows the cause
There's no one but you see
Hey there the moon is chasing me
And I worried if I looked away she'd be gone
Don't lose the dreams inside your head
They're only there until you're dead
Dream
Oh oh oh la la la
One day fill your brain
With no cares in the world
The mellow tune come to play
She's all mine just for a day
And there's no time to waste
In the play of this game
Don't lose the dreams inside your head
They're only there until you're dead
Dream
Unforgiveable down
It won't be so long now
Out of the darkness comes light
Like a flash
You think you can you think you can
Sometimes that is the problem
Dream
Is it your dream
Dream
Spilling on being
And he fell on them
And every day should be a good day to die
Oh oh fall down
It won't be so long now
I do love I'll hand love
I find it hard to explain
How I got here
I think I can I think I can
but then again I will falter
dream
I think I can I think I can
I think I can I think I can
Oh dream
Little darling
Dream
Spilling on being
We fell from them

Steams Of Thoughts One Thursday Afternoon
things that amaze you
sometimes your hands holding on
to something too tightly yet
you hold not a grain of those beans
spilling all over your feet
the sound of violin playing slowly
at the opening and then faster
at the end
your feet cannot hold the dance
hidden inside your heels
you step and tiptoe on the street
as people gaze at you
a girl looks attentively and sways her head
saying it does not look good for a woman
at 45 still behaving like a
child what a shame she says when she
behaves like a woman
despite the pinches that she receives from
mother and there is the man who dusts off
a tinderbox as he finally finds his
hidden treasure his toy soldiers all stuff
like that taken away from him when
he was once a young boy beaten almost
to death by a cruel father.

I Dance Alone
I dance alone with the night,
the moon holding me close,
beneath the starlight.
My feet moving slow to every
sad song I know, playing over
and over, as alone I go.
The night embraces me and
the winds whisper sad
words to me.
I dance with the tears that fall
from my eyes, they help
me make it through the
lonely nights.
Sighs, I hear in the distance,
as I dance within darkness,
shadows move slowly, as
I miss your tender kiss.
One step, spinning around, breezes
capture my heart, as to the long
night I am bound.
Broken memories spilling on
the ground, as this heartache,
twirls me around.
Wrapped in the arms of the night,
this dance must go on, as without
you again, I dance alone.

Abject Murderer
And when all is gone
There will be none;
Because you thought you are,
Because you thought you were;
When you are long gone,
When there was none;
And the friction ignited the drivels
Of fiction, of fraction,
Of great divide
That was there
In the pumping
Of the breathing veins and atriums
Meandering, calculating
All that's gone
More apt
The weight of none;
And what good will it serve
To stare down at loaded gun?
Yearning for your lips,
The velocity of your heart,
The frost in your temples,
Why won't you seize
The one who needs you,
Can't you hear the gears grinding
Without pulling the trigger,
Can't you feel the spilling of blood
That the treacle reckons.
You are long dead
Capitulated in the agony
Of hanging on to
A quicksand of hope
With hands of quartz
That wouldn't pull the trigger
Neither halt the pilfer
Of words,
Of life
Give me
What I deserve
Caress the laments
In the blackest demise.

Wondring Aloud
Wondring aloud --
How we feel today.
Last night sipped the sunset --
My hands in her hair.
We are our own saviours
As we start both our hearts beating life
Into each other.
Wondring aloud --
Will the years treat us well.
As she floats in the kitchen,
Im tasting the smell
Of toast as the butter runs.
Then she comes, spilling crumbs on the bed
And I shake my head.
And its only the giving
That makes you what you are.

Feelings... And More Feelings that Go Away...
in my hands are feelings
they are sand
spilling away
more like water in character
you want to touch it
but the sooner you believe
that they can stay
they have already left
and gone
away...
feelings are strangers
going places
how can they ever stay
faithful
to the hands
even if warmth is still there
even if
you tell them
how you need them to stay

Tis a highly descriptive task
to write your lips as they bite the glass
rims standing even and the drink it's been
made of sweet and bitter
rivers lakes and oceans
spilling drops of blue
to dwell on your eyelashes
eyes closed quiver fear
to stand on the fingertips
and to read the lines
broken palms of hands
geometry divinity
grasped in human kind
