Sail for the Sun
Forgive me words,
Reject me heart,
The silence has not grieved,
The night still dulls,
The strength of life,
That whispers in dying leaves,
I forgot my soul,
I cast out my dreams,
I am subjected to this whim,
This abject force,
This supreme tyrant,
The heartless lord of sin,
The love is gone,
The beauty dwindles,
My fountain ceases to breathe,
The marvelous thoughts,
The soaring flights,
My sacred realm of dream,
The innocent fantasy,
Was struck by reason,
Strangled by words of fright,
The perverse design,
That twist the light,
Shattered my intent of being,
I am lost, alone, cast out; deceived,
By - the barren cold,
Through vast expanse,
In ancient territories,
Where knights of yore,
Still battled for life,
Consumed by strife,
Never cowered by any at all,
The mighty of old,
The strength of the seas,
The ships laden with hopes of abroad,
Lay anchor in love,
Cast out in mystery,
Fueled only by the nights within,
Where all sat tight,
With maidens eye-bright,
To share the adventures from before,
But all would return at the call of the tide,
The journey would begin,
These few dozen men,
The kings of the past,
Abandoned the world again,
For the promise was pure,
The risk was too tempting,
All knew of the tales from beyond,
Where man is alone,
With nature his right,
In cities lined with gold,
Not a doubt not a fear,
Nor regret or a tear,
Clouded the face of any one,
But pride filled their gaze,
Delight pierced the haze,
And together they sail for the sun.

So Few Words
That so few words could cut so deeply
That words alone could so offend
Cast not aside my love so cheaply
For wounds of passion seldom mend
That so few words could cause such pain
That words alone could make a man cry
And doubt if he will ever love again
Or ever have the courage to even try
That so few words could tear us apart
That words alone could a love destroy
Cast a shadow of despair on my heart
And take away all my love's joy
That so few words could end a love
That words alone could cause such tears
Falling like the heaviest rains from above
Losing you was one of my greatest fears

Madrigal
I will be there said my friend of a distant life
Covered in greens of a golden age, set in stone
Follow me, he sounded of dreams supreme follow me
Drifting within the glow and the after-glow of the eve
And if that firelight, I could match the inner flame
Sacred ships do sail the seventh age
Cast off your garments of fear, replace them with love
Most of all play with the game of the age
Highest of places remain all as one with you
Giving us light and the freedom of the day
And if that firelight, I could match the inner flame
Sacred ships do sail the seventh age
And have always been here
Celestial travellers have always been here with us
Set in the homes of the universe we have yet to go
Countless expansions will arrive and flow inside of us
My friend, he of fantasy, dancing with the spirit of the age

That Vision In The Sky
As seas thrash out storms
And the winds carry leaves
New composition forms
As our dream perceives
Amongst waters blue
Unicorns run free
Leaving traces of you
In thoughts sent to me
An overcast sky
Clouds shatter the display
A vast intent supply
As the slow shores sway
The rapids in my heart
Sing a ballad so unique
A masterpice of art
As light rays cast oblique
Upon the canvas of desire
Your painting appears
Allows my heart to retire
Reducing me to tears
In the cloud lies a vision
Of a fotune yet untold
Cast in raging indecision
For my world to behold
The whispers of the wind
That flicker through my hair
Speak how love is sinned
If my love ceases declare
This is the storm inside of me
Thrashing through my veins
I am that raging sea
Compelled by my restrains
Calm exterior, undisturbed
Unto the naked eye
Till this storm is curbed
I'll believe that vision in the sky...

Oh What A Love
Oh what a love, thatll bind the wounds of a loss and heal my heart
Oh what a love, to cast away the pain
Oh what a love, thatll bear for me the cost of a brand new start
Oh what a love, to let me begin again
Oh what a life, thatll brighten up the corners of a lonely life
Oh what a life, to cast away the rain
Oh what a life to remove the gloom I face in the dark alone
Oh what a life, I believe I can see again
I remember the day
We walked on the beach till sunset, then we sang
And the songs we played were a promise of love thatll honor beyond the grave
Oh what a song, learned from the sea taught slowly to the young
Oh what a song, to cast away the rain
Oh what a song, to break the bonds of fear and still the sound
Oh what a song, I believe I can sing again
I remember the day we met at a place of hope, I took what you gave
And the words wed say were a promise of love thatll honor beyond the grave

Strangers In Paradise
Stranger in Paradise
And in a storm unspoken sadness, fear was clearly seen.
In the eyes that were so wet with shattered dreams,
A sea of darkness closed in like the blackest night.
The streak of silvery light seemed nowhere near in sight.
A need for strength to brave through the tidal days,
From the heart, a message, a plea that silently prays,
Head cast down, bended knees turning to the Almighty.
Torn and tattered a sail, awakening to face the sad reality.
Then came a distant light navigating to a happiness for safety.
An angelic touch a resting abode and a view of serenity.
With words of wisdom, firm, a kindness steadily unfolding.
Filling moments, an aid... a security that was a fast fading.
Reaching out, a friendly hand extends from across the vast skies.
So gallant a knight, a fireman, no more a stranger in paradise
Restores all losses, hopes and so continues the journey,
And with the gift of friendship, blossoms a love, strong till eternity!

The Pirate's Bride
Sometimes in the light at the edge of the world
Is the ghost of a ship with it's black sail furled
And night after night she would stand on the shore
And dream of the love that she knew before
The tide rolls out, the tide rolls in
Without a thought for the ways of men
We set sail for the Spanish Main
To rob the ships of the Queen of Spain
And she would be his pirate's bride
She gave him the pistol and the sword at his side
The tide rolls out, the tide rolls in
Without a care for the ways of men
I'd give three ships of Spanish gold
To see my love again
Full fathom five my true love lies
In a fine wooden casket with gold on his eyes
Where is the glory and where is the pride?
Where is the joy for the pirate's bride?
The tide rolls out, the tide rolls in
Without a care for the ways of men
Here in the light at the edge of the world
He'd wait for a ship with it's black sail furled
And day after day he would stand on the shore
And dream of the life that they knew before
The tide rolls out, the tide rolls in
Without a care for the ways of men
I'd give three ships of Spanish gold
To see my love again

When I Am Frustrated
Today I am as frustrated as can be and I need The Lord to comfort me.
I need Christ’s Peace to fill my heart before my day can even start.
When my heart begins to well with fear I know my Lord is always near.
I need my focus to be on Him when my emotions begin to stir within.
All my times are in The Lord’s Hands even when I don’t understand.
As Satan sets me up for a fall, in The Lord I can rise above it all.
When in my life my heart is tried, I remember that for me Christ died.
When I begin my day with The Lord the peace to my heart is restored.
When things about me shift like sand, on The Eternal Rock I’ll stand.
He who gave me my very life will help me through this day of strife.
Christ helps me through every day, as I cast all my cares His way.
He is with me each day my friend, preparing me for the coming end.
Trials do come and trials go, but this life is temporal, this I know.
Home is where the heart is friend and this fallen world is not my end.
In my trials He helps me see that all this strife ceases in Eternity.
No more pain and no more strife, just a pure and perfect Eternal Life.
As I focus on Christ’s soon return a peace in my heart begins to churn.
And this is one that will not cease, as this my friend is Eternal Peace.
Then today’s frustration melts away, as I know I’m not here to stay.
For soon I will see His face as I’m raptured from this temporal place.

Beneath Still Waters
Beneath Still Waters
By: Adam M. Snow
Beneath still waters lie lost memories,
Of sullied dreams cast into seas.
Yet mine lost in a thousand days,
By my foreknown separate ways,
And only by the blood moon,
Will it shine ever so soon.
But mine, shattered by my past,
As my essence surpassed,
Tormented by my woes,
Like the crows upon my flesh.
Tender life of putrid mesh,
Cast down upon my burden.
But lest I suffer more,
For mercy is what I plead for.
To atone for what my sins may cost,
But I reluctant for myself now lost.
Willingly I encumber my future wonder,
Regrets now my only feeling,
I fallen, now kneeling.
Melancholy was my one desire,
Now I cast aside the pit of fire.
Awaken now my wayward dream,
And myself, I now redeem.
On this night of vespertine,
My untimely death was intervene.
Laying here in peaceful slumber,
No more worries should I encumber.
Weeping may endure the night,
My soul, my life becomes the light,
Open now my vastness heart,
Cometh tomorrow a brand new start.

Midnight Prayer
'Lord, grant me the strength to get past
My overwhelming fears, and the pall they cast;
Grant me faith to overcome any and all doubt-
Should the spectre of dubiety lurk, cast it out;
Show me the divine nature of Your Proffer-
As undying devotion is my recompensatory offer;
I submit to Your Omniscience-yet, I do not fully understand-
Still I know: my life's path is but that which You command!
Hope and love You have gifted me, in abundance-
They present as compassion, understanding, and patience.
Thank you Lord, for all, to me, You gifted-
Obligation is owed too, for my soul-now and ever, uplifted!
Should ever cause present, where more of me is needed-
Just ask, as have I-surely, this too shall be heeded! '

Sunprincess II
She is a treasure, a mystery
source of magic and poetry
dazzling all eyes with her beauty
in the still predawn hours
rivers and streams ripple in
excitement, eagerly anticipating her touch
in silence, trees meditate upon her name,
for her spirit is the source of earth's inherited strength
the leaves store her nourishing words
the fruit bestow her flavorful blessings
the warming winds murmur softly her gentle hymn
all life gathers at the hem of her garment gleaming
just to hear her recite her magic fairy tales of love
to all who live below, she is gentle kind forgiving
each day she births the world in her loving light
she thaws the cold of heart, melts the winter's ice
her pains are felt in our sadness blindness and our suffering
bride of dreams, she cradles all of life,
wearing the crown of creation,
with nothing but pure love in her heart,
she resides over nature's kingdom

Watching
Like a beautiful face looking ever at me
A pure bright moon cometh over the sea;
And I stand on the crags, and hear the falls
Go tumbling down, through the black river-walls;
And the heart of the gorge is rent with the cry
Of the pent-up winds in their agony!
You are far from me, dear, where I watch and wait,
Like a weary bird for a long-lost mate,
And my life is as dull as the sluggish stream
Feeling its way through a world of dream;
For here is a waste of darkness and fear,
And I call and I call, but no one will hear!
O darling of mine, do you ever yearn
For a something lost, which will never return?
O darling of mine, on the grave of dead Hours,
Do you feel, like me, for a handful of flowers?
Through the glens of the Past, do you wander along,
Like a restless ghost that hath done a wrong?
And, lying alone, do you look from the drouth
Of a thirsty Life with a pleading mouth?
When the rain’s on the roof, and the gales are abroad,
Do you wash with your tears the feet of your God?
Oh! I know you do, and he sitteth alone,
Your wounded Love, while you mourn and moan —
Oh! I know you do, and he never will leap
From his silence with smiles, while you weep — and weep!
Your coolness shake down, ye gathered green leaves,
For my spirit is faint with the love that it grieves!
Is there aught on the summit, O yearner through Night,
Aught on the summit which looks like the light;
When my soul is a-wearied and lone in the land,
Groping around will it touch a kind hand?
There are chasms between us as black as a pall,
But bring us together, O God over all!
And let me cast from me these fetters of Fear,
When I hear the glad singing of Faith so near;
For I know by the cheeks, which are pallid and wet,
And a listening life we shall mingle yet!
Oh! then I will turn to those eloquent eyes,
And clasp thee close, with a sweet surprise;
And a guest will go in by the heart’s holy door,
And the chambers of Love shall be left no more.

A Beggar's Prayer
Precious Lord;
I have much to ask,
and you have much to do;
But Lord,
I need your Mighty strength...
for I know not what to do.
I know my place is humble,
and you are the King of Kings;
But Lord,
I need your Mighty strength...
for I know not what to do.
I'm certain that I am unworthy,
of your mercy and saving grace;
But Lord,
I need your Mighty strength...
for I know not what to do.
I walk the road that I choose,
and stumble most of the time;
But Lord,
I need your Mighty strength...
for I know not what to do.
I want to walk your path,
and help others along the way;
But Lord,
I need your Mighty strength...
for I know not what to do.
I ask for your guidance,
in setting my feet back straight;
But Lord,
I need your Mighty strength...
for I know not what to do.
I turn to you O Lord,
with open arms and bleeding heart;
Because Lord,
I need your Mighty strength...
for You alone know what to do.

No More
I hear the silent death of words yet to be uttered,
Seeping down the abysmal corridor of failed beauty,
Strangled by a constriction in my soul - a moment where none suffered,
Futile, this thought, already gone, faded away into yet another forgotten memory.
Hope swells, joy stuttered,
I laughed again, but as always, somewhat hesitantly,
The vision cast down, a moment drew by, chilly, the solitude, yes, just, lonely,
Something rose, the words enshrouded, barely murmured,
But no more, no more, forever shut off to me.
I grasp, I clasp - I pour over meaningless lines, all cluttered,
So cluttered, so full, yet useless, endlessly,
Ah yes, they stir, they whisper, they breathe life again into me,
Then lost in another drift of wings never to be shuttered,
Cold, lifeless, dead, not again, no more, I had it, it was mine, it always came,
So effortlessly.
But no more, no more,
No more they know me.
Abandoned, betrayed.
The origin of it all, a mystery now, to me.
So I seek still, for that beauty, I call it to it, I beg of it,
I pray to it, for it is all, my forsaken deity.
She has turned her back on me,
So no more, no more, I weep, I fall, I die,
In the twilight of dread I cry,
To be reunited to my destiny, my one, my all, my only.
But no more, no more, she answers,
No more shall it ever be.

Awoken from a winters heart
Awoken from a winters heart
~
The perpetual hours of night
Which haunted the lonesome soul
Cast shadows upon the world
The isolate dream within
Decayed hope and faith with ease
The black dogs howled
While the spirit sank to nothingness
Fear, a fear of loneliness
Silence, the fear which speaks
The season of the solitary heart
The winter of a broken man
Came to an end
Awaking to a spring named love
New hope grew and spread
A warmth settled into new dreams
A future still uncertain
But no longer filled with dread
Light, a light now filled the eye
Ode to the beauty which became
The emotion thawed
Awoken from a winters heart

Shattered Mirror
Shattered Mirror
Broken face
So lost now
I have no place
Scared of life
Nowhere to turn
So far to go
A life to learn
Shattered Mirror
Tattered dreams
All alone
Too hard it seems
Feel so empty
Lost inside
Too much to bear
I wish I'd died
Shattered Mirror
Murdered love
Dark thought come
And rise above
Tears of love
Heart of pain
Mess of thoughts
Maybe insane
Shattered Mirror
Loss of life
Hopes of death
Constant strife
Now let go
Lonely tear
Empty now
Wish you were here....

Unspoken
Unspoken
By: Adam M. Snow
You torment me with your bladed tongue;
if only you knew my life is left unsung.
Now I am broken;
blind, and left unspoken;
with my dreams shattered by you;
for now I know not what to do.
I am left with a voice of silence;
all alone in the distance.
My words I want to say remains unspoken;
for I wonder, 'Will I ever be unbroken? '
Your words still scorn my soul;
for it feels that I am left to rot in this hole.
You showed me your heart of ice;
yet I ask, 'Is my life the price? '
Your bladed tongue pierced my heart;
all because of you, I have fallen apart.
You speak of broken truth;
yet you say I am uncouth.
You push me away and call me a freak;
for all you have done, now silence is what I speak.
I am a ghost with words left unspoken;
standing over my essence, shattered and broken.
Your words are torment;
is this not your intent?
I am tainted by your selfishness;
for my feelings I cannot express.
I am broken because of you;
I only wish you knew.

At Long Bay
FIVE years ago! you cannot choose
But know the face of change,
Though July sleeps and Spring renews
The gloss in gorge and range.
Five years ago! I hardly know
How they have slipped away,
Since here we watched at ebb and flow
The waters of the Bay;
And saw, with eyes of little faith,
From cumbered summits fade
The rainbow and the rainbow wraith,
That shadow of a shade.
For Love and Youth were vext with doubt,
Like ships on driving seas,
And in those days the heart gave out
Unthankful similes.
But let it be! I’ve often said
His lot was hardly cast
Who never turned a happy head
To an unhappy Past—
Who never turned a face of light
To cares beyond recall:
He only fares in sorer plight
Who hath no Past at all!
So take my faith, and let it stand
Between us for a sign
That five bright years have known the land
Since yonder tumbled line
Of seacliff took our troubled talk—
The words at random thrown,
And Echo lived about this walk
Of gap and slimy stone.
Here first we learned the Love which leaves
No lack or loss behind,
The dark, sweet Love which woos the eves
And haunts the morning wind.
And roves with runnels in the dell,
And houses by the wave
What time the storm hath struck the fell
And Terror fills the cave—
A Love, you know, that lives and lies
For moments past control,
And mellows through the Poet’s eyes
And sweetens in his soul.
Here first we faced a briny breeze,
What time the middle gale
Went shrilling over whitened seas
With flying towers of sail.
And here we heard the plovers call
As shattered pauses came,
When Heaven showed a fiery wall
With sheets of wasted flame.
Here grebe and gull and heavy glede
Passed eastward far away,
The while the wind, with slackened speed,
Drooped with the dying Day.
And here our friendship, like a tree,
Perennial grew and grew,
Till you were glad to live for me,
And I to live for you.

Love's Supremacy
As yon great Sun in his supreme condition
Absorbs small worlds and makes them all his own,
So does my love absorb each vain ambition
Each outside purpose which my life has known.
Stars cannot shine so near that vast orb's splendor,
They are content to feed his flames of fire;
And so my heart is satisfied to render
Its strength, its all, to meet thy strong desire.
As in a forest when dead leaves are falling,
From all save some perennial green tree,
So one by one I find all pleasures palling
That are not linked with or enjoyed by thee.
And all the homage that the world may proffer,
I take as perfumed oils or incense sweet,
And think of it as one thing more to offer
And sacrifice to Love, at thy dear feet.
I love myself because thou art my lover,
My name seems dear since uttered by thy voice;
Yet argus-eyed I watch and would discover
Each blemish in the object of thy choice.
I coldly sit in judgment on each error,
To my soul's gaze I hold each fault of me,
Until my pride is lost in abject terror,
Lest I become inadequate to thee.
Like some swift-rushing and sea-seeking river,
Which gathers force the farther on it goes,
So does the current of my love forever
Find added strength and beauty as it flows.
The more I give, the more remains for giving,
The more receive, the more remains to win.
Ah! only in eternities of living
Will life be long enough to love thee in.
