Here I sit inside my cell
Weighing thoughts sent straight from hell
In the light my spirit soars
But I dwell in darkness behind closed doors

Blade Of Darkness
I am shut down in my own heart,

Time pushed me into dark

The Fog Of My Broken Heart
The fog of my broken heart
The dark fog that imprisons my soul
and refuses to let me escape.
Its silent mist that eclipses the sun
beckoning the darkness.
Once again calling my name
Heavy clouds weighing me down
Depression, disappointment, and doubt
My newest companions.
The life I knew is now disoriented
My path is clouded
by anger, hurt, and uncertainty.
This fog is encircling me

And I never really sleep anymore

The Duality Of Darkness And Light
If I search and seek inside my mind
The deeper I look the more I find
Exists a spiritual duality of darkness and light
My soul mirrors the world, the day and the night
In the darkness I seek the light to guide
From the sunlight I seek a shadow to hide
The dark is my shield, the light is my blade
They guide and protect me, the light and the shade

Dead Poets... In The Night
dead poets visit me in the night....
we walk the darkened hollow streets.
talking softly, or not at all....
listening to the sounds of darkness.
doors closed, curtains pulled;
those who can, sleep....
and lovers wrapped inside each other
talk in a language known only by gods.
while the broken ones stumble by,
the sound of their weeping heavy,
and cold as the night....
clouds race across the moon
leaving scars on the homeless and hungry.
young women cry out giving birth
to the screech of the owl....
churches stand empty and sterile.
the suicides and the penitents
go about their business quickly.
we stand on the corner of doubt and hope,
