Would I?

The moonlight paints across the lake
a golden path which dreamers take.
When sleep has set their spirit free
to visit realms of fantasy.

There hybrid monsters multiply
and birds can swim and fish can fly.
Large silver dragons sell ice cream
from motor bikes powered by steam.

Imagination knows no boundaries.
You can converse with passing trees
all students of theology.
Who claim divine authority.

The sleeping mind so easily
accepting unconditionally.
Things that the conscious mind would be
Examining more critically.

I wonder if I dared to take
that golden path while wide awake
Would I lose my identity
becoming just a fantasy?

Only a thought away for M'lady Tara

The moonlight casts across the lake. A gleaming path which dreamers take
which leads them to or so it seems a magic land of fulfilled dreams
A different reality where they are granted instantly
The powers which they need to be utterly and completely free
To travel at the speed of thought to see the silver dragons sport
their changing colours as they fly in graceful dance across the sky
Or watch the mermaids as they play amidst the surf at break of day.
Though every wish is satisfied eventually they must decide
To leave the realms of fantasy, returning to reality.
The hum drum world of every day, resume the roles they have to play
but they return refreshed renewed. More positive in attitude
than those sad soul who dare not take the silver path across the lake
But choose instead to lie awake regretting every past mistake.
Because they lack the courage to, do what wiser dreamers do.
So take your courage in both hands forget this world and its demands
Just set your troubled spirits free to roam the lands of fantasy.
It does not take too long to learn and once you’ve been you will return.
You are quite free to come and go between the worlds you’ll come to know.
The boring world of every day or fantasy when you wish to play.

Unconstrained

The mind of man can’t be constrained
by any measure that we know
A fact that cannot be explained.
Your mind is always free to go

beyond the normal boundaries
which are imposed by gravity.
It disregards such laws with ease
and has no trouble breaking free.

To visit realms of fantasy
where we can designate the laws.
A different reality,
imagination rules of course.

The science fiction of today
tomorrow will be common place.
We dreamers think a different way
to other members of our race.

Ability to fantasise
and look at things a different way.
May prove to the greatest prize
that we have won along the way.

In man kinds rise to dominance.
Though there is much we do not know.
That we can dream gives us a chance
to choose the way we want to go.

Painted Dreams...

As sleep envelopes the mind, dreams commence,
The artist within paints the landscape of my dream.
A fantasy land of lush green grass and fresh summer blooms,
My spirit warmed by the golden rays of sunlight.
It is neither night nor day, but a timeless twilight,
A time that exists between the waking and the sleeping world.
My lifes story unfolds upon this canvas of painted dreams,
My hopes and fears, my lonliness, my dreams and all my desires.
All I have ever been, all that I could ever be,
A timeless portrate of a dreamers deepest desires...

Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Dual Personality for C.P.Sharma

Dual Personality

Sometimes I try to concentrate.
My mind decides to deviate
and gaily goes its sweet way
Against my will I have to say.

Although I love to fantasise
I often find to my surprise.
My mind is playing tricks on me.
Accepting as reality.

Strange things which cannot possibly
exist outside of fantasy.
Perhaps my mind is free to go
to places that I cannot know.

Bound by my frame of reference.
To where there is no difference.
Reality and fantasy
can coexist quite happily.

Am I my mind? Is my mind me?
It seems to me quite possibly.
My mind does not depend on me.
An independent entity

which is quite free to come and go.
I am convinced it must be so.
Although I know I’m always me.
My mind remains a mystery.

Am I my mind? Is my mind me?
I ponder on it frequently.
It seems to work efficiently
but how it does still baffles me.

The Image

Written by: richard marx & fee waybill
Hope you dont believe a word
Of all the things I know youve heard about me
Really just a pack of ies
You see the truth before your eyes around me
Hard to keep it straight
The real from the ruse
Probably way too late
What can I do, but its
Not what you think
Not what you hear
Not what you see
Its just the image
Its all on a string
All fantasy
Not really me
Its just the image
Would it be too much to ask
That you could just gvie me the chance to prove it
Or would it only be a waste of time
To try to make you change your mind and use it
What Ive been looking for
Isnt what I thought
Not behind the golden door
Youre all Ive got, and its
Not what you think
Not what you hear
Not what you see
Its just the image
Its all on a string
All fantasy
Not really me
Its just the image
What Ive been looking for
Isnt what I thought
Not behind the golden door
Youre all Ive got, and its
Not what you think
Not what you hear
Not what you see
Just the image
Its all on a string
All fantasy
Not really me
Its just the image
Not what you think
Not what you hear
Not what you see
Its just the image
Its all on a string

Silver Shadows Golden Dreams

Within the silver shadows
are locked our golden dreams
waiting patiently for us
to find the key and then set them free.

Dreams of love everlasting
to last us through our days,
dreams of happiness for evermore,
to let us smile through our life’s troubles.

They lay within the silver shadows
locked away in the recesses of our mind,
those golden dreams we dream about
from time to time.

The meandering wasteland,
within our shell of eternity,
where our dreams sleep,
awaiting us to awake them to make their escape.

The key is in us to unlock them
from within the silver shadows
where our golden dreams await
to be free to come true.

Here and There for M'lady Mary Gordley

To you they are pure fantasy.
To me they are reality,
So we are bound to disagree.
In worlds I visit frequently,
you can see dragons flying free.
But only if you have the key.
To open up your tight closed mind
to all the wonders you can find
when reality is left behind.
Try it out what can you lose,
travel anywhere you choose.
You have free will you can refuse.
But when I need a holiday.
I close my eyes and drift away.

Altered Perception

My drug of choice is poetry.
I need no chemicals to fly.
Imagination is the key
which leads me into fantasy.
I have no need to break the laws
because I choose a different course.

I can get high on poetry.
A pleasure that’s completely free.
Why use adulterated drugs
and join the ranks of ripped off mugs.
Why should you spend your hard earned brass?
on coke or horse or even grass.

When all you need is poetry
to set your restless spirit free.
Rise to the sky on wings of words
and emulate the flight of birds.
Who recognise no boundaries
they’re free to fly just where they please.

I can alter my state of mind
by reading poetry I find
From all my worries find release
and for a little time find peace
and oftentimes sheer ecstasy
Anaesthetised by poetry.

Golden Rain

There is no Golden rain in real life
But in our dreams you and I see it clear
It falls from the sky
It paints our face golden like the sun
It doesn’t matter in the dream
Because it is only in the dream that can happen
The trees and the flowers and the grass are golden also
Nothing like that would had happen in real life
Because in real life the rain is silver
And our face doesn’t change color with the rain
It only happens in our dream
Weird things happen when we are dreaming
The are no birds to see
What a strange land this is
No house
No cars
No bus
No other people
But you and me
That Golden rain keeps falling non stop
And keep raining down that creek
That Golden rain doesn’t look nice at all
Not even in our dreams
What about the weather
It is cold and miserable
It makes us even more tired
And we want to sleep more
It is happening now in our dreams
And that Golden rain in our dream is not going to hurt us
There is no acid in that Golden rain
And that land in our dream is not polluted like the land in real life

Return To Fantasy

Searching every day
Looking every way
Trying to make a connection
To find a piece of the action
Like a hungry poet
Who doesnt know
He is close to perfection
Choice is the question
Moonlight night
After moonlight night
Side by side
They will see us ride
But if they cared to look
Then they would see
Its our return to fantasy
Fantasy, fantasy
Can you understand
That in every man
Theres a need to unwind
Thats never been defined
Somewhere deep within
Theres another being
You are somehow abusing
By the person youre using
Moonlight night
After moonlight night
Side by side
They will see us ride
But if they cared to look
Then they would see
Its just our return to fantasy
Fantasy, fantasy
Travelling faster than lightening
Closer than ever before
We can go on for you
And take you nearer to
The legend of mystery
From the beginning of time
Dreaming... time ... dreaming
We can return to
The land of the good and the kind
Time... dreaming... time... dreaming
Why dont you come to our party
And open your minds
In another place
Theres a newer face
Like an unfinished painting
Your creator is waiting
The brush and pen describe
What it is inside
That will set your mind thinking
While the others are sinking

Fishees Underwater

Fish have many pretty colors, they live beneath the waves
Some fish seem to swim in schools while others live in caves
Some are short and some are small and some are stringy thin
Some of them are wide and tall and some just dig right in.

There's not much light beneath the waves of all our great big seas,
But all the fish don't seem to mind, they somehow still can see
Plants live down there, under water and make things seem so nice,
That all the fishes dance around and always check things twice.

Some fish swim deep down there, others they just won't
Some of them seem unafraid, but most of them just don't
Some fish have large shiny teeth, some have none at all
Some of them swim hastily, while others only crawl.

Of all the fish and animals my favorite is a star fish
If I find one on the beach, I stop and make a wish
I pick them up and throw them back, far out into the ocean
And hope they learn to not return, or repeat that silly notion.

Silver Dreams, Golden Smiles

You came to me
In a silver dream
With a glowing flow
Of a mountain stream
You lift my soul
Way beyond the sky
Just to wake me up
With your golden smiles
Chorus:
Silver dreams and golden smiles
Silver dreams and golden smiles
Silver dreams and golden smiles
Silver dreams and golden smiles
I knew one day
You would come my way
You would help me see
The reality
Heaven and earth
They are one, the same
In my heart I know
When you call my name
Chorus
Dreaming when Im wide awake
See, when my eyes are closed
Flying, I dont need no wings
Being everywhere at once
Hold me, hold me in your arms
Fill me with your glowing grace
Chorus

I believe in Fairies too for M lady Ernestine

Sometimes at night across the sky.
I see the silver dragons fly.
Although not everyone can see
the dragons dancing gracefully.

My friends think I have lost the plot
but I assure them I have not.
I don’t know why they cannot see
what is so very clear to me.

Perhaps I have an open mind
and they do not, so they are blind.
Moonlight reflecting on their scales.
This is a sight that never fails

to make me stop and realise.
Some cannot see though they have eyes.
They don’t believe the evidence
of their own eyes. It makes no sense.

Because they can’t believe it’s true
and won’t adjust their point of view.
But I believe and I can see
the dragons flying easily.

When twilight falls if you just try,
you too will see them fly
Unless you too, have closed your
mind and don’t believe in dragon kind.

A Mystery of Dreams Explored!

Is dream born out of poetry or poetry out of dream?
Imagination is foundation for both coupled with passion!
Imagination, emotion and dreams weave poems of fantasy
To take one to the world of exotic nature from Nature!

Nature is the mother for all passion, dreams and fantasy
Urging to spin countless poems of heart to kindle thoughts
That mystics in communion with Nature explore high
To Stars, galaxies and heaven to bring divinity to human!

Sans a sense of feeling born of pure passion in Nature long
No sensation of exotic feeling can drive one to explore
Mystically the mysteries of miracles to discover divine spirit
Dwelling deep in all things of wonder present all over Universe!

Indwelling spirit in all activates mind in quest of wonders
Abound in Universe to realize Universal Spirit to reach at last!

Fantasy Girl

Lately I'm learnin'
That so many yearnings
Are never to be
Childhood illusions
Mearly delusions
Of a girl that I see
In my minds eye
I see clearly a vision of how it could be
Me and my fantasy girl
Hold on to me
Be my fantasy girl
Don't set me free
Now I've had my share
And sometimes I swear,
That I've had me enough
You end up in sorrow
Broken tomorrows
Love can be tough
But my minds eye
Sees a vision of true love,
And how it should be
Me and my fantasy girl
Hold on to me
Be my fantasy girl
Don't set me free
Be my fantasy
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I see clearly a vision of how it could be yeah,
Be my fantasy
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Be my fantasy girl
Hold on to me
You're my fantasy girl
Don't set me free
Be my fantasy girl
Hold on to me
You're my fantasy girl
Don't set me free yeah,
From this fantasy

With A Doing To Prove

Either choose to take a leap.
Or fall back to sleep,
Because...
Trumpets will be blaring,
From those who dared...
To eliminate their troubles,
And a stopping to share!

Hello...
Tell me what is your name?
You are here so bright and early,
With a doing to prove...
There is something that you wish to do,
And get done too!

Tell me hello...
What is it that you do?

'I'm here to claim that I'm awake,
My sleeping is through.
I'm here to do what I must do without attitude! '

I like your 'hello'...

This Valentine’s Day...

You and I will take a trip
To somewhere we have never been before
We will visit the hut with the golden door
And the blue lake so you and I can dip
Our bodies and souls in the heaven
Of love that only you and I can invent
You and I will create our own event
Our own fantasy: a delicious turkey in the oven
A bottle of wine, one glass, one knife,
One fork, one towel and one inflated bed
That’s the recipe of a wonderful life
You and I, alone, in a place that looks dead
You and I are playfully sharing each other
The butterflies are away, the birds are singing
The weather is very nice and inviting
And you and I are under the same cover.

My Imagination

Standing there with her arms around no one
No one who'd die for her right where he stands
Looking around like she's looking for someone
Looking like she's got time on her hands
Funny how much you can see in someone
Across the room who you don't even know
Telling you things she would tell to no one
Taking you places she's wanted to go.
Like a walk in the rain, a place in the sun
With a lifetime of love that has only begun
Doing all of the things only lovers can do
My imagination is running away with you.
Walking away and I'm walking beside her
Into forever here in my mind
Deraming a dream that we're dreaming together
Finding the things only lovers can find.
Like a walk on the moon, a dance in the stars
With a love light that finds us wherever we are
And our own happy ending will always come true
My imagination is running away with you.
As fast as I can running straight to your heart
Where the fantasy ends and reality starts
'Til I stop believing that dreaming is all I can do
And the fantasy might even come true.
My imagination,
It's only my imagination running away with you...

It Must Be Imagination

by Kenny Loggins & Tom Snow
When the feeling isn't right
They say you see it in a lovers eye
But I'm wide awake tonight
'N I'm looking for a reason why
It doesn't show
Still somehow I know
Tell me that it just ain't so
Say I made the whole thing up
It must be imagination
Why can't I forget it
God, you'd think I'd know better
It must be imagination
Gone completely out of my mind
It must be imagination
Tearin' me apart
'N breakin' my heart
You can say what is real
You can tell me if I'm in a dream
'Cause I know what I feel
But I don't know what to believe
Turn on the night light
Even if it takes us all night
I gotta be sure by daylight
If I've made this whole thing up
It must be imagination
Tell me if I'm right
'Cause it's changing my life
It must be imagination
Everybody knows
There ain't no way to fight it
It must be imagination
Breakin' my heart
'N tearing me apart
If I'm only dreamin'
Then I'm cryin' in my sleep
You should be shakin' me
Why ain't you wakin' me up?
It must be imagination
God I must be losin' my mind
It must be imagination
Does anybody know
Is there anyway to fight it?
It must be imagination
All in my mind, all in my mind
It must be imagination
If you wanna go, I just got to know
It must be imagination
Oooh tell me what's the problem
Why you wanna go on breakin' my heart?

The Fish and the Sky

Once there was a fish living in a stream
Where water was clear and the surface gleam
Food was abundant and large predators away
The fish was passing happily its days

One day the fish looked up and noticed the sky
So blue and endless and free in its eyes
Suddenly it saw a flock of birds moving by
And immediately yearned that it itself could fly

With passing of time the fish’s desire grew
No longer with happiness its mind was ruled
It no more noticed clear water and surface gleam
Lack of predators and abundance of food became unimportant things

Finally the desire was too much for the fish to bear
So, it relentlessly jumped out of water into the air
In doing so the fish met its ultimate death
Devoured by a bird watching its crazy stunt.
