Unwanted Nocturne
When day is done and twilight falls
I hear the Tomcats caterwauls.
The noise they make is quite obscene.
They vie for favours of the queen.
Who’s quite content to see them fight.
She will choose as is her right
The tom cat with whom she will mate.
I really don’t appreciate
The dreadful noises that they make.
I only wish that they would take.
Their courting to a new venue
I fear that they will force me to
react with undue violence.
I am entitled to silence.

That has driven many right out of their minds.

More folks who are conniving in slime.

It's that fear
Ooo very scary! !
I bet you don't know it
Keeps you worried

Very loud in your ear..
But not everyone could hear

Midnight Chime
The yawning of a door
near the midnight chime
heralds the entrance of something
within our frightened mind.
We listen with intent
as chains are dragged
across an empty floor.
We shout out,
“Who goes there? ”
Only to receive silence
as a midnight reply.
We lay in our beds
covers raised above our heads
wondering what monsters
have entered our castle wall.
A low and distant moan
echoes in our ears.
We shrink in silence of our fears.
“Who goes there? ”
We shout again in a voice lost
to the noise of a door slam.
Our faces drain of colour
becoming chalk white
at the thought of monsters
that are just out of our sight.
Through the night,
the noises continue
as we shrink in silence
waiting for morning to call.
We lay there frozen,
petrified by fear
not knowing what to make of
all the sounds we hear.

The Inner Silence
Noises that strive to tear
Earth's mantle soft of air
And break upon the stillness where it dwells:
The noise of battle and the noise of prayer,
The cooing noise of love that softly tells
Joy's brevity, the brazen noise of laughter—
All these affront me not, nor echo after
Through the long memories.
They may not enter the deep chamber where

A Wind Of Silence Is A Wind Of Violence
The wind of silence has become a wind of violence
Guns for war, guns for ones own protection
For some satisfaction, for others lack of affection
Children playing Russian roulette with their feet
Its not even safe anymore walking in the streets
The wind of silence is a wind of violence
Our future will be a reflection
Of our own segregation of the old generation
Lonely hearts lost in desperation
Not one or two, but a whole civilization
The wind of silence has become a wind of violence
The present, the future or the past. What would you choose?
Or shall I say: What have we to lose?
