Full Moon a storypoem

The moon is full and bright tonight.
The tensions rise within these walls
Although the corridors are bright
I clearly hear the eerie calls

of those affected by the moon
Their madness raised to fever pitch
I pray that morning will come soon
I feel their hatred like an itch.

Which creeps and crawls across my skin
An itch for which there is no cure.
Although I know they are locked in,
the full moon makes me insecure.

Although the experts disagree.
They don’t patrol the floors at night.
They will be sleeping peacefully
Smugly convinced that they are right.

Those of us who watch and ward
do not neglect the evidence
A full moon we can’t disregard
we’ve learnt by hard experience.

That when the full moon rules the sky
we must increase our vigilance.
Her rays enhance insanity
we can’t afford to take a chance.

I do my rounds reluctantly
I check and double check again
I feel mad thoughts chaotically
impinge upon my tired brain.

When daylight comes the tensions fall
and stillness permeates the air.
A brooding silence lies over all
the patients who are in our care.

A full moon without incident
I can report to my relief.
Which he accepts without comment.
I know we share the same belief.

I can go home my shift is done
and seek the comfort of my bed.
Next month there’ll be another one.
But I will be on days instead.

Our Moon

July 1989
Alone I watched the Full Moon rise tonight.
The same Moon rose over you just hours ago.
Did you also watch it rise? Did clouds obscure the view?
Was your night as fine for stargazing?

When the Moon is just starting to clime my horizon
It is finishing its' journey across your sky.
Were you still awake to watch it set?
Did dreams call you away?
Tonight I will watch till this Moon leaves to find you again.

The calendar says each Moon shines on you first.
But the Moon doesn't follow... it leads!
Full Moon... Full Circle
Ruler of tides
My Moon first tonight.
I shall wish it safely back to you.

Last July the Moon carried grief for me.
Was your Moon full of Joy then?
I know it wounds you now.

Once Full Moons of June saw each of us born
Your Moon predating mine in years.
Round Moon... pale circular symbol of eternity
First seen by you... then me... then back again

This Moon connects us, at least in my own heart.
Allow me to wish it back to you fuller, brighter.
The July Moon rises Full over us tonight.
Full... of Promise

Here Comes The Moon

Everybodys talking up a storm
Act like they dont notice it
But here it is and here it comes . . .
Here comes the moon, the moon, the moon, the moon, the moon.
Impulse always quickens when its full
As it turns my head around me
Yes it does and here it comes
Here comes the moon, the moon, the moon, the moon, the moon.
Gods gift I see thats moving up there into the night . . .
Though dark the mirror in the sky reflects us our light:
Looks like a little brother to the sun
Or mother to the stars at night
And here it is and here it comes
Here comes the moon, the moon, the moon, the moon, the moon.
Breath is always taken when its new
Enhance upon the clouds around it
Yes it is and here it comes
Here comes the moon, the moon, the moon.

Full Cold Moon

This night
All light
Full still moon

Lamp lit
Silhouette
Full still moon

Many faces
Secret places
Full still moon

Supernal eye
In the sky
Full still moon

Big stone
Cold Alone
Full still moon

In reverie
A memory
Full still moon

Only one
You are
gone

Only night
to dream
upon

Full

Full Moon

Havent you noticed a kind of madness in my eyes?
Its only me, dear, in my midnight disguise.
Pay no attention if I crawl across the room.
Its just another full moon.
Dont be afraid of me when Im walking in my sleep.
Dont get alarmed, dear, when I start to crawl and creep.
Try not to listen when I mumble like a loon.
Its just another full moon.
Its just another full moon.
You see before you a truly broken man.
cause when it gets to midnight, I dont know who I am.
Full moons a-callin, and its put a curse on me,
And it will never set me free.
The full moons still up there,
Like a great white balloon.
The owls are a-callin,
And theyre singin my tune.
The night keeps a-callin.
I wish the day would come soon,
To get away from another full moon.
Here comes another full moon.
If your hands start shakin
When night starts to fall,
If youre scared of the moonlight
And the shadows on the wall,
If the face in the mirror
Isnt you at all,
Its just another full moon.
Its just another full moon.
La la la la la la.
La la la la la la.
La la la la la la.
La la la la la la.
Its just another full moon.

Everyone's Gone To The Moon

Everyone's Gone To the Moon
by Pee Wee King, Chilton Price and Redd Stewart
sung in the special "Art or Bust"
Streets full of people all alone.
Rows full of houses never home.
Church full of singing but it's out of tune.
Everyone's gone to the moon.
Eyes full of sorrow never wet.
Hands full of money all in debt.
Sun disappears in the middle of June.
Everyone's gone to the moon.
Long time ago life had begun
and everyone went to the sun.
Hearts full of motors painted green.
Mouths full of chocolate-covered dreams.
Mobs that can only lift a spoon.
Everyone's gone to the moon.
Everyone's gone to the moon.
Everyone's gone to the moon.

You Are The Moon

i shall walk the streets alone tonight
there is no life at home
i must get out to watch the prettier ones
i want to talk but they don't listen
i want to live, i want to love

You are the moon, on a stormy ocean
full moon, uncaring space
bright moon with all reservation

i must be what i must be
for no one's the same
Roving streets libidos flow
Forgotten Sky, alone you're Dry
I want to live, I always want to love

You are the full moon bright on the Sky
Hiding your feelings Alone you Cry

Moon Light

Moon Rises High Into The Sky
The Moon Is Gray
The Moon Is Bright
The Moon Is Full
Every Night The Moon Comes Out And Goes Down.
The Moon Shines Onto The Earth.
Brightens My Path.
I Look at The Moon And Say 'Moon Light Moon Light Bright My Path As You Shine My Way'
The moon Looks down And Shines My Path.
I Walk To The Pond And The Reflection of The Moon The Moon Is Beautiful And Bright.
The Moon Will Never Disappear.
The Brightness With Alwayz Shine My Path.

Sonnet: The Haloed-Moon

God shows a moon with aureole sheen,
Full-round haloed with greenish-pinkish light,
A phenomenon I have rarely seen!
The unseen sun still makes the moon look bright.

A pitch-black cloud just stands above the moon;
The latter sails behind it to vanish;
The eclipsed moon is back in full view soon;
My heart is filled with joy that can’t perish.

The cloud looks like black month of September,
The end of which will bring new hope again;
This glorious vision, I will remember,
For like promotion delayed, so is rain!

God speaks to me so strangely from the sky;
I pray He must do so until I die.

Moon, We Look to You.

Moon, you have a shade of blue tonight –
Is it something that you saw or heard?
Only yesterday, your tone was proud and bright,
Yellow silver, full, and so assured.

Moon, despite the clarity of sky,
Metaphors of cloud that fluff with grey
Drift across your rounded face to spy;
Feeding back, there's awfully much to say.

Moon, you have a role to play up there –
We below must bear the earthly pain.
Duty bound, we shoulder sorrows fair –
You are free from our grotesque disdain.

Moon, we depend on you to shine
When the sun retires down below.
Add to that your grandest role divine:
Tidal Lord, to keep the seas in tow!

Moon, I hope you take to heart our plea –
Needless is the reason for your blue.
Beaming, you should give the night its glee:
We're despairing – so we look to you.

Full Moon And Empty Arms

Full moon and empty arms
The moon is there for us to share
But where are you?
A night like this could weave a memory
And every kiss could start a dream for two
Full moon and empty arms
Tonight I'll use the magic moon to wish upon
And next full moon if my one wish comes true
My empty arms will be filled with you.

Moon After Day

Moon shed a tear
Moon give me fear
Moon light my way
Moon after day

Moon give me strength
Moon has no length
What I want to say,
Is Moon after day

Moon is full
Moon is dull
Moon light my way
Moon after day

Moon is my life
Moon gave me a knife
Moon slit my wrist
Moon a wonderful bliss

What I want to say
Moon after day!

The Moon And The Sun

the moon and the sun looked at each other's eyes
oh.what a surprise! ! they have already met at sunset! !
oh, my, at night they got separed!
their heart was unprepared...
tHE PAIN WAS UNBEARBLE, for they are unseparable

the moon got carried away, the moon had nothing to say...
will they ever see each other?
for they love so one another

their hearts were full of despair
for again they will see each other they declair

the moon's heart was full of passion
the sun's heart was full of compassion

the sun, from the moon he cannot be away

look at the price the moon had to pay...

she preferes to die instead, her consience told her to go ahead

the sun was ever so sad, oh! what a poor young lad

look at how the sun loves the moon

after this cure he will join her soon

now the sun will slowly die

and now in peace may he lie

Full Moon Lunacy

Due to a full moon
It's a wierd day
Hope it ends soon
Losing what to say

Monthly I do endure
Lunacy in my mind
Yet there's no cure
From the moon bind

The Dr jeckyl's and mr Hyde's
Come out to play
When the full moon rides
People lose their way....

Moonspell

Breaking through the wandering clouds
the white light being spread from above
Giving me chills and making me want to sit there, all night
the full moon in all it's glory,
is calling to me, untill the morning
waiting for some attention, the wolves howl
blistering my thoughts,
the full moon's reflection in my eyes
feeling a distant sense of animality
disturbing my routine with insanity
wondering where I stand,
Looking in a lake,
the full moon reflected in my hand

Full Moon, Shared Now You Are...

On a Full Moon Night
I met a Friend so Knowledgeable
and educated much to teach, give and share
A Moon Lover also he was,
by research, books, studies and his own secrets
A Moon Lover I grew up as Always seeking its Light
Admiring its Powerful Romance, Mystery and messages

So there he was, my new friend,
And There it is tonight
The Full Moon not mine alone anymore
But a remembrance of my friend
Is he also looking at you Goddess Moon?
Maybe yes, Maybe later...
For fact his Memory Is...
So back in time I go...
What would I have done differently?
Nice I was, Polite was him
With a nice Goodbye hug
I Said: 'Thank you for being a Gentleman'

Well done it was,
No karma, no harm
Just fun, Pure Friendship
No reason to go Back
No reason to remember
But to Share forever I must now
My Full moon Nights...
Triggered it’s now by Trust and Faith
To the Past Gentleman Friend
Please let’s not split in half
Our Full Moon Night!

Now I See You, as The Blue Moon

Now I see you full, my love
As the moon, the Blue moon,
I thought, I did see you;
It was the moon, the Gibbous moon.
You smiled, for me, when you were
The moon, the Crescent moon,
With your pain, on your dark.
You laughed, for me, when you were
The moon, the Half moon,
But now I know, that I saw,
Only the moon, the dark moon,
And thought it, to be,
The moon, the full moon.

Come Along

(words & music by hess)
Come along, come along, theres a full moon shining bright
Come along, come along, were gonna hit st. louis tonight
Spend your money looking at the chorus line
Spend your money, win it on the number 9
Take your sweetheart even though shes never been
If shes worried tell her that you always win
Come along, come along, theres a full moon shining bright
Come along, come along, youre gonna win a fortune tonight
Hear the whistle, lady lucks about to go
Is she smiling, maybe yes or maybe no
Nows the time when nights are filled with sweet romance
Dont be bashful step on up and take a chance
Come along, come along, theres a full moon shining bright
Come along, come along, were gonna hit st. louis tonight
Come along, come along, were gonna win a fortune tonight

Moon Tonight

The turn my car took on Bandra flyover
Helped me see the part of sky with Moon.
And she looked round-faced – full Moon?
Chauffeur had steadied the car, I was not sure.

Mind went back a few years to my Delhi home
I had counted the full moons to my retirement:
Tried to go up on my terrace in Lodhi Garden
On every bright moon-lit night, alas, alone.

Now I wonder how many full moons before death?
But I don’t know how to time the interval between
Now and Death’s arrival for me: why not every one?
Perhaps there can be no better addition of riches to life.

From home, I put off TV, wore shoes, closed door,
And went down to walk under the Moon: she was
On the East at an angle: only if I walk East I see her.
Now I pass the lane between FDA and Artek Nagar.

I see the bits of broken Moon through the dark foliage
Of the trees, sometimes branches, some leaves in pairs
Asleep, while palm leaves swaying a lullaby gently,
Brushing on, without ever touching, the distant moon.

As I went on the main BKC road, I could see the full
Moon on this clear November sky in broad gaps
Where there were no cassia or queen’s tree, and
No star near, or even far, to distract my attention.

I enjoyed seeing the moon, rather self-consciously,
Keeping track of whether anyone passing by
Is watching me watch the Moon, to think “Is he
A poet or just lunatic, about to fall into a pot-hole? '

Before I turned homewards, I felt sad, very sad
To think that the full Moon is absolutely lost
In the lit streets with headlights and neon-lamps
That one has to search for the moon to see her.
