Fixed routine.

I always choose to take this way
This quiet path leads to my door,
Today as every other day.

I have no fear that I may stray.
I see no reason to explore.
I always choose to take this way.

Here sun and shadow interplay
Creating shapes not seen before.
Today as every other day.

The song thrush sings his roundelay.
I feel my jaded spirits soar
I always choose to take this way.

Though I could choose another way
I am aware of two or more.
Today as every other day.

It adds some pleasure to my day
a feeling I have known before.
I always choose to take this way
Today as every other day.

I am a man!

I am a man full grown.
I have the right to choose
To make my way alone
What have I got to lose? .

If I refuse to do
as you expect me to.
I owe nothing to you

I will choose my own way.
Today and every day

I am man, my own man

Sonnet: Choose The Things in Your Life

0 choose your friend who must be good as you;
And choose your spouse better than you; make sure;
And choose the one best as your Teacher too;
And choose ambitions that suit your nature.

0 choose the profession thats truly best;
And choose the hobbies that ne'er interfere;
And choose your Time to begin work, take rest;
And choose your enemies, you surely fear.

0 choose your food that gives extended health;
And choose your garments -comfortable wear;
And choose the honest way to added wealth;
And choose the burden right, body can bear.

0 choose the people who deserve help most;
And choose good principles, yet never boast.

Choose To Fly

Choose to fly!
Choose to soar...
Above the clouds,
And touch the sky.
Choose to spread your wings.
And with praises choose to sing...
To end limitations.
And what to you those limits bring.
Choose to fly.
Energize with the Sun.
Have fun.
Begin what is wished.
Do not undo that which has begun.
Choose to fly.
Look up.
Around and down!
Can accustomed conflict mixed with confusion...
Be heard from anyone?
Can it be found?
As you lift your disconnectedness,
Higher off the ground?
Can you feel a peace?
As you release...
From tensions that decrease.
Choose to fly.
Let go of that madness...
Grabbing to entrap.
To have you slapped with unhappiness.
Choose to fly.
Declare your fresh air...
Is absent of dispair.
And all boundaries have cleared for your arrival.
Choose to fly!
Choose to soar...
Above the clouds,
And touch the sky.
Let go...
And take hold of the atmosphere there.
Choose to fly.
Choose to soar.
Choose to live the life you adore,
Even more!
Choose to fly.
And break free to live your dreams.

Today I choose life. Every morning when I wake up I can choose joy, happiness, negativity, pain... To feel the freedom that comes from being able to continue to make mistakes and choices - today I choose to feel life, not to deny my humanity but embrace it.

Freedom. Ivorian sonnet

Because some people disagree
about the rules of poetry.
There’ll always be some argument.
Nobody can define the rules
which leads to widespread discontent.
Some cannot understand it seems,
that every poet has the right.
To choose the way they share their dreams
in any form they choose to write.
I say each poet should be free
to write the way they want to write.
In metered verse with rhyming schemes
or try some new experiment.
No one can dictate how you write.

A Further Hesitating in the Waste of Time

I understand where you are going with this.
I even understand,
Why you might want this addressed.
But understanding 'you'...
I will never consider my priority.

Perhaps your therapist has you thinking,
You are okay.
And that is the reason your therapist gets paid.

But the time I have been given,
To live my life as I wish...
To adventure and explore,
Every moment of it...
I am going to do that.

Since...
It has only been a few years,
I realized I can do that and more...
Without asking for anyone's approval.
Or assistance.

And today?
I know what I can choose to accept.
Or choose to ignore.
And today and days ahead,
I will choose to ignore...
A further hesitating in the waste of time,
Others find important.

I can.

Inverted hexaduadad.

I can
choose to be a man.
Stand tall upon my own two feet
Or to retreat.
The choice is up to me.
Though not quite free
I can’t refuse
I am compelled to choose.
What shall I do.
I will not change my view
I will be the best man
I can.

I am that I am for C.P.Sharma

I speak to those who choose to hear
To those who choose to see, appear
If you believe you will perceive
if you accept you will receive.
The blessings that I offer you
and in return I ask you to.
Attempt to love your fellow man.
It is not easy but you can
What does it matter black or white
all men are equal in my sight.
You have free will and you must choose
to listen to me or refuse
Be still and let the silence speak.
I am that for which all men seek

Am I a Heretic?

Abide with me fast falls the eventide.
My boredom deepens momentarily.
There must be more to life than the T.V
I sometimes watch but I choose carefully

The darkness deepens lord abide with me.
Boredom remains the ancient enemy
I have to choose so therefore I decide
Only to watch what I want to see.

When other helpers fail and comforts flee.
Then and only then do I watch T.V.
Most programmes offered don’t appeal to me
I can go without watching very easily.

Help of the helpless oh abide with me.
Books are my salvation as they ought to be
I have a collection of fine poetry
I can choose what suits my mood easily.

The only Way to go.

Some choose to grow old quietly
but others take a different view.
They chose to live disgracefully.

Why should you give up having fun.
Because you’ve reached a certain age.
There are still things you haven’t done.

You want to do before you die
Though your time may be limited.
You see no reason not to try

To make your madcap dreams come true.
Why should you sit and vegetate
as other folks expect you to.

You are the captain of your fate.
So you can do what you want to.
Tomorrow may be far too late.

So do it now immediately.
Regardless of the consequence.
What does it matter anyway?

Society may not agree.
You have the right to your own view
Choose to act disgracefully.

You’ll find that life is much more fun
than sitting watching the T.V.
Show the world you’re still someone

Seize every opportunity
that life’s prepared to offer you.
To shock your neighbours thoroughly.

They choose to sit and wait to die.
You choose to do the opposite.
You won’t surrender easily/

But fight until your final breath
because it is your nature to
Although you know you can’t beat death.

You know that one day you must die
but until then you choose to live
Just as you wish disgracefully.

A matter of opinion.

Some people say I am perverse
because I choose to write in verse.
The kind of stories I compose.
They think I ought to write in prose.

They have the right to I suppose.
But I won’t do as they propose.
I much prefer to write in verse
Because I think there’s nothing worse

Than badly written boring prose.
That is the reason why I chose.
To concentrate on rhyming verse.
I see no reason to reverse.

My original decision
to conform to your opinion.
I do not choose to write in prose
I am convinced that I would lose.

My rhyming capability
reducing my ability.
To write my words spontaneously.
I don’t expect you to agree.

Although I am compelled to write.
You’re free to exercise your right
To read or not as you choose to.
Though I confess I hope you do.

I know I can’t please everyone.
That is something that can’t be done
By any writer though they try
A truth no writer can deny.

Your comments are of interest
they spur me on to do my best.
We can agree to disagree
on which is best quite easily.

A poet must choose poetry.
But other writers are quite free.
to share their thoughts written in prose
Because they choose to I suppose.

If you should doubt my competence.
I will not choose to take offence.
You are entitled to your view
Please remember I am too

Obstacles are challenges

The road I choose the path I take.
No different from the road I spurn
But what if I choose by mistake
a path from which I can’t return.

Sometimes our footsteps we retrace
when thorns and briars bar our way.
To try again another day.
Why should we fear a loss of face?
There’s nothing lost by the delay.

We merely bow to circumstance.
We’re wise enough to recognise
it is a hopeless enterprise
.In time we’ll get another chance.
In winter when the brushwood dies.

We will return to satisfy
our burning curiosity.
Explore these byways thoroughly.
On foot and with the naked eye.
No need to act too hastily.

For what we seek we do not know.
An urge which cannot be defined
springs from our deep subconscious mind.
We are compelled we have to go.
Complete the task we self assigned.

Once Enjoyed and Invited

We are not in those times anymore.
When people would choose others,
For their own ignorance...
Unstopped and revolving,
Through the same turnstiles...
To explore and bore.

More people are awakening,
To what time 'today' is.
With less of them wasting it,
To let go and live.

The ones who found gossip,
Whispered from ear to ear.
Find it almost impossible...
To ignite any intrerest,
With someone equally inquisitive.

We are not in those times,
Anymore.
When people would choose others,
For their own ignorance...
To Explore increasing boredom.

And more and more,
People are re-evaluating values.
Finding it difficult,
To do as they choose...
And have others listen too!

Once enjoyed and invited,
People seem today quicker to admit...
A deeper meaning sought,
Than the routine of nonsense...
That finds them sick of it!

Choose

I choose focus
I choose freedom
to be happy, to have fun
to have a wonderful life
to be young, light and bright
I choose health, wealth
lands, treasures
I choose to trust, love
commitment, faith,
I choose to enjoy life
I choose the lord
I choose...

It might come back into fashion

Why do we hoard things we don’t use?
Why is that we always choose
to take the easy way.
Turn a blind eye.
We will decide another day
what to keep, what to throw away
Although there’s no reason why
we should refuse
We’re well aware what we should try
to clear some space before we buy.
That gorgeous pair of shoes
We should say nay.
We know quite well we should refuse
but bargains we can always use.

Grin and Tonic for M 'lady Marilyn

I sometimes have a jaundiced view
when I survey the world today.
I have to pause and look anew
to try to see a different way.
It all depends on upon my mood.
The way in which I choose to see
and my prevailing attitude.
So in the end it’s down to me.
I wear an artificial smile
which will conceal the way I feel.
But oddly in a little while
I find my smile becoming real.
What I pretended has come true.
It works for me: why mot for you.

Boyhood Dreams.

Boyhood dreams.

You were.
My dream come true
To you I am the boy next door.
Although I’d like to be much more

I dare
not voice my love.
I am afraid you’d laugh at me.
So I must worship secretly

Your smile
can make my day.
You speak to me but I’m too shy
A stumble over my reply

Although
I think you know
That I am in love with you
You also know it isn’t true

But you
Choose to pretend
you do not know although you do
There’s nothing else that you can do.

You do.
What you think best.
Now I am older I can see
That you were very kind to me.

You could
have ignored me.
But you did not you really tried
To let me keep my boyish pride.

Intact
To interact
With me in such a gentle way
Which I remember still today

My thanks
Are due to you.
As I matured I found new dreams
That may come true or so it seems.

Tribute to The Garcia Family

Today your life begins all over again,
Today you have the opportunity to be happy in it,
Today you shall experience love, and feel the warmth
Of everyone who loves you more than yesterday.
Today you can choose what to carry with you and what
To leave behind.
Today you have to live your life as you know best.

For today is Golden as today is here, and you are here
To give and accept the love that is deserving.
Today is the culmination of every day past and future too,
For it will be what ever you decide to make it do,
Therefore know the truth, that there is someone out there
That is thinking and loving you.

I Choose You

(r palmer)
I choose you
When love comes along you go with the flow
You should trust your feelings on it
When you get hit by the arrow youll know
Cupids aim is always on it
Its half past two now
Your face is lovely
Its only lit by candlelight
Just me and you here
Our room is quiet
Only our sighs and whispers
You dont choose who you fall in love with
You dont mess with the gods of love
You cant choose who you fall in love with
So I choose you
When love comes along you go with the flow
You should trust your feelings on it
When you get hit by the arrow youll know
Cupids aim is always on it
You mesmerise me
My head is spinning
This is much more than fantasy
Lost in your kisses
My senses tingle
We lose our inhibitions
You dont choose who you fall in love with
You dont mess with the gods of love
You cant choose who you fall in love with
So I choose you
Ohohohah
I choose
I choose you
I choose
I choose you
I choose
Oh babe I choose you
I choose
I choose you
Whooo
You dont choose who you fall in love with
You dont mess with the gods of love
You cant choose who you fall in love with
So I choose you
Whoo
You dont choose who you fall in love with
You dont mess with the gods of love
You cant choose who you fall in love with
So I choose you
