Conscience
I am the inner voice you hear,
when quietly you meditate,
Inaudible to any ear
but yours.
All I can offer is advice,
which you can follow or discard
You have free will which should suffice.
Of course
sometimes you find it hard to choose.
between the options offered you.
What to accept and what refuse.
No force
on earth can make you listen to
advice you do not want to hear.
It is your choice it’s up to you.
But pause
consider well which path to take,
before you make you finally decide.
The burden of any mistake
is yours.
Do as you will but lose or win.
There has to be a settling day
a price you will have to pay: In
due course.

Take A Fools Advice
(charles singleton)
If you love her
And she makes one mistake,
Please dont leave her
It would make your heart ache.
Take a fools advice,
Dont pay the price I had to pay.
If you need her
But youre letting her go,
Please dont do it
Youll be sorry, I know.
Take a fools advice,
Dont pay the price I had to pay.
Truly,
Shes caused you to doubt her,
Truly,
Shes broken the rules.
But lifes not worth living without her,
So listen to the wisdom of a fool.
Think it over
And forgive her this time,
I was foolish
I lost the love that was mine.
Take a fools advice,
Dont pay the price I had to pay.
Take a fools advice,
Dont pay the price I had to pay.

Choose or Lose
Every day there's a fork in the road.
Do you settle for pie less a la mode?
Are you the seller or being sold?
Are you the teller or being told?
If you choose, you might be right;
If you don't, you lose the fight…
A fight to know where you stand,
Pursuing ways solely you planned.
If afraid to choose, you surely lose,
Missing chances only you refuse.
That choice is there just for you.
Let not love nor money dim your view.
In name and gender you had no choice.
Now able to choose, in unflinching voice,
Proclaim that friends you select
Reflect your own self respect.
Decide what's best and then believe
What you choose you will receive.
Accept no less than your worth.
You're the only one of you on earth!

I Hear
(diana ross/stan scates)
What is this i hear
Falling softly in my ears
Quietly telling me to wipe away my tears
Yesterdays are gone
And love has cleared the way
No matter who you are
You can touch the stars
Life's interactions can make you smile
Just listen to the voice in your heart
The voice is near you, it's never too far
The voice is with you, where ever you are
It's closer than close, calling to your heart
I hear the voice of love
I hear the voice of love
The voice will never leave you
It lives deep down inside
It's calling you, asking you
To open up your heart
All things are achievable
Nothing is impossible
You can reach your highest high
You can make it if you try
Life's interactions can make you smile
Just listen to the voice in your heart
The voice is near you, it's never too far
The voice is with you, where ever you are
It's closer than close, calling to your heart
I hear the voice of love
I hear the voice of love
Follow where it leads you in the dark
The voice will guide your heart
The voice is always near
I hear the voice, i found the voice
From the mountains to the sea
The voice of love is calling me
Where ever you are, the voice is near you
It's never too far, the voice is with you
I hear the voice of love
I hear the voice of love
I hear the voice of love

Best foot forward for M 'lady Wennie
Each road you take comes to a fork
and both new paths look much the same
To left, to right which one to walk.
Which of the two will win the game.
Unless you’re blessed with second sight
you will not know which path to choose.
An even chance you’ll get it right.
You must decide you can’t refuse.
You find it harder to decide
each time you’re forced to make a choice.
Perhaps the fates are on your side
and you will find cause to rejoice.
This is the only game in town
and everybody has to play.
Some will go up and some go down.
Along life’s path they make their way.
Don’t be afraid to walk alone
and choose the less well trodden path.
Your future must remain unknown
so step out bravely come what may.

Conversations with Mother (Revised)
Don’t sell your house we said, you scorned
advice and went ahead – and despite our
fervent counseling still fell afoul of vice of
renting from the asset sale until all funds had
run away; bankruptcy now means you have
no options left
A medical fund is vital we advised, but you
declined the wisdom there enshrined, preferred
to trust in God; you suffer pain and yet refuse
to seek the aid the government provides, when
you relented finally you find an eight month
queue awaiting you
How will you deal with pain? Your daughter
seeks to raise the cash for private care – her
husband works belatedly to make ends meet;
can’t you see your risky life boasts only of your
carelessness, does not impress when others have
to bear your dilettante encumbrance
What should I say – that you refused to ready for
old age? Indeed, I do regret your choices failed
and boomeranged on you, the pity is your lacking
ears to hear advice you never listened to, and
won’t so it will make no difference anyway…

Help
Listen to the sound/
Of birds a’singin’/
Softly they are found/
In the air ringin’/
Buzz my life/
I’m alive and well/
Hard to smile sometimes/
But the truth will sell/
Baby/baby/
Hear my voice/
Sweet and sound/
I’m your clearest choice/
Near to me/
Are you mine? /
I’m losing myself/
I cannot find/
Fill my threshold/
With pain in disguise/
I will unfold/
Beneath my skin what fries! /
Baby/baby/
Hear my voice/
Sweet and sound/
I’m your clearest choice/
On my mind/
It is there/
My future existing/
In living air/
I am trying/
Tyo make it so hard/
I hate it so much/
Cuz the end is so far/
Baby/baby/
Hear my voice/
Sweet and sound/
I’m your clearest choice/
Feelings surpassed/
Blown away/
Will I come home/
Again to live another day/
Long gone/
Is myself/
I will never find it/
The answer which is help/
Baby/baby/
Hear my voice/
Sweet and sound/
I’m your clearest choice/

Merciful Release?
Merciful Release.
The mist descended suddenly.
Totally unexpectedly.
I could not see to find my way
So I decided I should stay
Just where I was. It seemed to be.
The wisest choice
I’m not so certain that it was
I think perhaps that is because.
The clammy fog embraces me
And whispers to me quietly
You have no choice.
If I decide to let you go
I am quite certain you will know.
Not to brave the moors alone
These moors are mine all that I own
and I rejoice.
I have the power to heal or kill
I always had and always will.
These moors are worthy of respect
It is mission to protect.
It whispered sotto voice.
I will remember till I die.
There is no reason I should lie
The day the mist enveloped me
and whispered to me quietly
I hear that voice.
In nightmares to this very day.
Although it let me go my way.
I still retain the memory
Of the lesson taught to me.
The moors own voice.
Although it spoke so quietly
Is etched deep in my memory
I can’t forget although I try
And to this day I wonder why.
It made the choice
To set me free as suddenly
as the mist had captured me.
I don’t suppose I’ll ever know
Why it chose to let me go
I had no choice.
The moors have little time for fools
They can and will enforce their rules
I'm forced to take it seriously
Or pay the price

His Way, My Way
I Have My way to do things
God gives us His Way.
We have a choice now
To choose wisely
If God will make His Way
Where there seems
To be No Other way.
He Works
In A Way
Where We cannot see or hear.
He will make
A way for us to follow
And to believe in His faith.
If we choose wrongly
We bear all consequences
We accept the punishments
Given by God.
So my friends, we
Must choose wisely the way
Of faithful living
And
Trusting in God.
One day by His Way,
We shall see
And meet our God.

Sheep
'Sheep! why don't you follow me? '
Shouted the Shepherd to his flock of three
Where I lead you, you are supposed to follow
In the desert, through the forest, or in a hollow,
I will never, ever deliberately steered you wrong
If only you will listen to me and follow me along
Your safety and happiness is my main concern
So the path we take is from the one I did learn,
With my staff in hand I will lead the way
And I hope from me that you will never stray
As there is so much danger in this world of ours
So for your safety and from my leadership, I am in charge,
'I am your shepherd and you are my flock! '
Screamed the Shepherd as he then got lost
I have taken a different road than what I've taken before
Even though against this road I had cursed and swore,
But I thought the road was safer and easier to take
You must believe my thinking, I made no mistake
This time though I had listen to the advice of others
But now I see the mistake, if only I had my druthers,
Trust in me again, and we will find the correct path
And please forgive my directions and my earlier wrath
Lets just finish our journey and do not lose faith in me
Spoke the Shepherd, to his sheep of three.

I am that I am for C.P.Sharma
I speak to those who choose to hear
To those who choose to see, appear
If you believe you will perceive
if you accept you will receive.
The blessings that I offer you
and in return I ask you to.
Attempt to love your fellow man.
It is not easy but you can
What does it matter black or white
all men are equal in my sight.
You have free will and you must choose
to listen to me or refuse
Be still and let the silence speak.
I am that for which all men seek

I Refuse
Everythings heaven sent
Thats what you said and went
Inside your fairy glass
Somethin you think will last
And when they crop you like a clown
You got your smile on upside down
B-baby I refuse
(I do refuse)
Uh, you can pick or choose
(I do refuse)
Find omebody else to use
(I do refuse)
cause I refuse to come along
And everythings on a whim
Thats what you said to him
Lyin in wunderlust
Are feelings you never trust
And when they pamper you with ice
I cant believe you dont think twice
Uh baby I refuse
(I do refuse)
Uh, you can pick or choose
(I do refuse)
Find somebody else to use
(I do refuse)
cause I refuse to come along
And everyone makes the play
With nothing left much to say
Theyre all in an endless line
Waiting for equal time
They keep screaming its the truth
And you keep kneelin in the booth
Oh baby I refuse
(I do refuse)
Uh, you can pick or choose
(I do refuse)
Find somebody else to use
(I do refuse)
cause I refuse to come along
Oh, I do refuse
(I do refuse)
Oh, you got nothin to lose
(I do refuse)
Find somebody else to use
(find somebody else to use)
(I do refuse)
cause I refuse to come along
I refuse
(I do refuse)
Ah, oo-oo
(I do refuse)
(find somebody else to use)
(I do refuse)
cause I refuse to come along
I refuse
(I do refuse)
Oo, oh got nothin to lose
(I do refuse)
(find somebody else to use)
(I do refuse)

Yesterday When I 'Had' Patience
One moment, please.
I think we have a bad connection.
Let me repeat what you just said...
Since I 'know'
I did not hear you clearly.
You expect me,
To tolerate and put up with 'your' nonsense?
To quietly sit and listen to the issues you have,
With your family, their families...
Your neighbors' comments made to you.
And...
My recommendations you dislike.
Because I am not 'sounding' as if I am on your side?
AND when I seek 'your' candid advice...
You find it convenient not to be available,
Because I take up your time?
And you tell me...
I should find less of 'me' in my mind?
Hold up!
I think this connection has crossed the line.
And needs to cease.
If you hear dial tone...
Do not call me back.
From you I am seeking some deep quality peace.
Listen,
Yesterday when I 'had' patience...
And hear this very carefully.
I gave you time and I remember that.
Today I have none!
You have exhausted your free minutes.
And I suggest you kick the cat or 'something'.
But don't bother me.
Find less of 'you' in your mind!

One Clear Voice
The whole world is talking
Drowning out my voice
How can I hear myself
With all this noise
But all this confusion
Just disappears
When I find a quiet place
Where I can hear
(chorus)
One clear voice
Calling out for me to listen
One clear voice
Whispers words of wisdom
I close my eyes
till I find what Ive been missing
If Im very still, I will hear
One clear voice
Im always searching
For which path to take
Sometimes Im so afraid
To make mistakes
From somewhere inside me
Stronger than my fears
Just like the sound of music
To my ears, I hear
Chorus

Til I Hear It From You
(jesse valenzuela, robin wilson, marshall crenshaw)
I didnt ask
They shouldnt have told me
At first Id laugh, but now
Its sinking in fast
Whatever theyve sold me
Well baby I dont want to take advice from fools
Ill just figure everything is cool
Until I hear it from you
It gets hard
The memorys faded
Who gets what they say
Its likely theyre just jealous and jaded
Well maybe I dont want to take advice from fools
Ill just figure everything is cool
Until I hear it from you
Until I hear it from you
I cant let it get me off
Or break up my train of thought
As far as I know, nothings wrong
Until I hear it from you
Still thinking about not living without it
Outside looking in
Til were talking about it, not stepping around it
Maybe I dont want to take advice from fools
Ill just figure everything is cool
Until I hear it from you...

30 Minutes
Mama, papa forgive me
Out of sight, out of mind
Out of time to decide
Do we run? should I hide
For the rest of my life
Can we fly? do we stay?
We could lose we could fail
And the more minutes take
To make planer, or mistakes
30 minutes, the blink of the night
30 minutes to alter our lifes
30 minutes to make up my mind
30 minutes to finally decide
30 minutes to whisper your name
30 minutes to shelter the blame
30 minutes of bliss, 30 lies
30 minutes to finally decide
Carousels in the sky
That we shape with our eyes
Under shade silhouettes casting
Shapes crying rain
Can we fly do I stay
We could lose, we could fail
Either way, options change
Chances fail, trains derail.
30 minutes, the blink of the night
30 minutes to all of our lifes
30 minutes to make up my mind
30 minutes to finally decide
30 minutes to whisper your name
30 minutes to show her the blame
30 minutes of bliss, 30 lies
30 minutes to finally decide
To decide, to decide to decide to decide
(repeat until fade)

My Life, My Colors
Elders hear me loud and clear
I have my rites, you hear
Many paths created
For me to choose from
I will decide which one
Liberated before conception
I am not weak, I have a voice
With all due respect wise Elders
I nearly let you waste, my life and his
Created with love
I have the rite, to love and be loved
To you dear elders
My path may seem grey
Only I will colour it
With colours I choose for my life
In short...
I choose to be who I am
I choose which risks I will take
I choose the colours to pave my path
My life is all about the liberated choices I will make

That Voice Again
I want to be with you
I want to be clear
But each time I try
Its the voice I hear
I hear that voice again
Im listening to the conversation
Judge and jury in my head
Its colouring everything
All we did and said
And still I head that sharp tongue talking
Talking tangled words
I can sense the danger
Just listen to the wind
I want you close I want you near
I cant help but listen
But I dont want to hear
Hear that voice again
I want to be with you
I want to be clear
But each time I try
Its the voice I hear
I hear that voice again
Im hearing right and wrong so clearly
There must be more than this
Its only in uncertainty
That were naked and alive
I hear it through the rattle of a streetcar
Hear it through the things you said
I can get so scared
Listen to the wind
I want you close I want you near
I cant help but listen
But I dont want to hear
Hear that voice again
What I carry in my heart
Brings us so close or so far apart
Only love can make love
I want you close I want you near
I cant help but listen
But I dont want to hear
I hear that voice again
I want to be with you
I want to be clear
But each time I try
Its the voice I hear
I hear that voice again

You Cant Tell Me Nothin
1986 harley
Blowing smoke and sucking oil
My daddy said, buy it and youre crazy boy
You cant tell me nothin
It took me a year to fix it up
And one day to lay her down
I got a little hitch in my get-along now
You cant tell me nothin
Talk is cheap and free advice
Is worth the price you pay
I had to find out for myself the hard way
You cant tell me nothin
Hometown homecoming sweetheart
Nobody thought I had a prayer
Her mama said,
Boy,dont you come around here
You cant tell me nothin
They say be careful what you wish for
I want to be her man
Two babies and a trailer later here I am
You cant tell me nothin
Talk is cheap and free advice
Is worth the price you pay
I had to find out for myself the hard way
You cant tell me nothin
They say drinking will kill you
The same thing for rolling smokes
But thats two of the three things that I like most
You cant tell me nothin
I know what the good book preaches
But I know how I am
I just hope somebody up there understands
You cant tell me nothin

Why should you believe me?
I guarantee that you can be
from this day forth quite vampire free..
Don’t turn away, listen to me
It is quite free there is no fee.
I do not ask that you pay me
nor even ask you to agree.
Vampires can bite so suddenly
and then you live eternally.
Driven by hunger constantly
you will thirst uncontrollably.
Every throbbing throat you see
as a meal tantalisingly.
If this is what you want to be.
Then just ignore me pointedly
As people do ignorantly.
In my opinion foolishly.
No crucifix can guarantee
your permanent security.
From a blood drinking entity
Who has selected you to be.
Provider of his energy
He’ll drink your life blood thirstily.
You should consider carefully
this awful possibility.
Because there is no remedy.
Once bitten you’re condemned to be
numbered amongst the enemy
and will be so eternally
It is your choice you are quite free.
To turn away mistakenly.
Convinced that I talk crazily
Although I’m offering honestly.
That I can truly guarantee
that I can make you permanently.
Quite safe from any vampire who might be
regarding you as possibly.
A victim he can easily
subdue because you foolishly.
Refuse advice that’s offered free.
Perhaps you doubt my honesty.
So go your way but carefully
I cannot force you to agree.
Although choice saddens me.
I will continue hopefully.
To offer folks the chance to be
protected permanently for free.
from dangers which they do not see.
Although they threaten constantly.
The vampires walk abroad quite free
from questions of morality.
They can appear to be friendly
Before they pounce on you greedily.
So take my warning seriously
Some friends are not what they seem to be.
You can be fooled so easily
by monsters acting charmingly.

The Choice is yours
You put on a uniform and become someone
that you would never be.
Your head is shaved and you learn to salute
and forget what it's like to be free.
Free to form your own opinions,
free to make your own choice,
free to follow no one,
free to speak your own voice.
You discard the uniform and then become
the person you really are.
You grow your hair, your beard, your soul
and salute no military czar.
And in so doing you discard the past
and come to peace at last.
Or do you?
Can you free your mind from what you've done
and sleep peacefully at night?
Or do scenes of battle and killing
never leave your sight?
Think young men and turn away
so there will never come a day
when you will silently cry
or bite the bullet and die.
