Am I insane? Perhaps I am.
Quite frankly I don’t give a damn
what other people think of me.

No one can express concern,
To those who only associate themselves...
With disrespect.

Abormality?
I suffer from a strange disease.
A most peculiar malady,
I do exactly as I please
I do not seek a remedy
I’m growing old disgracefully
it’s much more fun than being staid.
Revel in eccentricity.
I’ve no reason to be afraid
of what some people think of me.
All of the people I respect
accept a certain levity.
As for the rest I don’t expect

people expect me to be perfect,
because i'm smart,
people expect me to get good grades,
because of all the hard work i put in,
people expect me to have my own business,
because i can be talented and creative,
people expect me to be a push over,
rather than a girl who speaks her mind,
people expect me to be something i'm not,
but all i can be is only myself,
people expect me to deal with life,
i can only deal with it the best i can,
people expect me to handle more than i can,
but who is it really for or what do i have to prove?

I once spread my wings happily,
Till the day I met you,
My wings got clip so I can be with you,

I hate the fact I look more like you everyday

Apathy Rages Unchecked
I have a strong aversion to.
Doing what I’m told to do
Though other people think I should
I have a different attitude
I have a brain I choose to use
To form my independent views.
Although I’m sure to face abuse
