Am I Still Me?
I am not dead though I should be
There’s very little left of me.
I do not live merely exist
My mind is clouded the mist persists
I can’t remember anything
Although I try there is nothing
I don’t know where I am or why
I wonder sometimes who am I
Then the mists descend again
I don’t know where I am or when.
My body lives my mind has fled.
Dementia which I used to dread.
Has destroyed my ability
To think at all coherently
I am not happy nor am I sad.
I would not know if I was glad.
I should be dead but I am not.
The art of living I forgot.
The mists do lift occasionally
And I remember I am me.
Although my body is quite fit
Without my mind what use is it?
Am still me or just a shell
condemned to a living hell.
Am I still me?
I am not dead though I should be
There’s very little left of me.
I do not live merely exist
My mind is clouded the mist persists
I can’t remember anything
Although I try there is nothing
I don’t know where I am or why

Which Comes First
when two people get married
is it a marriage of Body and Mind?
or is it a marriage of Heart and Soul?
and which one comes first?
SOMETHING TO PONDER!
what did i feel when i proposed?
my Body: told me that i ached for
the joining together, and sexual fulfillment.
my Mind: told me that i wanted to be
with her for the rest of my life.
my Heart: felt empty without her.
my Soul: soared to the highest height
to see all that could be given and achieved.
when i first saw you my Heart stood still
like on a roller coaster going down
and feeling the thrill.
and as that thrill rose, my Soul climbed high above
to show me this beautiful love.
this love so strong that it consumed my Body and Mind.
that it took me to 'the end of time'.
so for me which came first, as you can
plainly see, Heart and Soul was the one for me.
i give you my Heart- and all it contains
for without you, my life will never be the same.
i give you my Soul-for that is the other part
that i have to give
for without a Soul we can not live.
i give you my Mind- for your love to control
for it protects my Heart and Soul.
i give you my Body-
which is an empty shell
for without your love, i'm in living hell.
these are the four parts of this mere man
and i give it to you, for that's my plan.
i would take the human sufferings of
torture, pain and defeat
as long as i know your love i'll keep.
'YOU ARE LIFE' and all that it holds
Body, Mind, Heart and Soul.
take me as you would a breath of air
and my life with you i will share.
I THINK THE ANSWER THAT I HAVE GIVEN
SHOWS THAT LIFE IS WORTH LIVING.

Over The Dead Body
Don’t fight over the dead body
Grudge and ego of people left behind
Could raise the worst world war
Don’t scared over the dead body
Silence and stillness of living human
Is more frightening than the ghost
Don’t keep mourning over the dead body
Sadness and lost of the one we love
Will be replaced by forever peace
Don’t worship over the dead body
Dreams could only be real and achieved
If we open our eyes to the world
Don’t disrespect over the dead body
It once belonged to precious life
Though the evidence corpse severely decayed

When I Think Of Myself As Dead
WHEN I THINK OF MYSELF AS DEAD
When I think of myself as dead
I think of what it will mean for my loved ones
I pray they will not lose heart and hope because of it-
When my father died my brother lost hope-
When I think of myself dead
I wonder about God and Gods purpose
Is there really an afterlife?
What could it mean?
Will I meet again those who have gone before me?
When I think of myself dead
I think about a body in the ground
Worms eating it, cold paining it-
When I think of myself as dead
I think about never feeling anything again-
When I think about myself as dead
I think about the work I have left behind
And whether it will mean anything to anyone
And for how long-
When I think of myself as dead
I think of all the memories that will go with me
I think about nothing and more nothing and the end of the universe-
When I think of myself as dead
I think of life going on down below
Life with all its beauty and pain
And I pray and I pray again
My loved ones will be able to manage and make their own lives still happy
When I think of myself as dead
I pray to G-d
That somehow in some way
It will not be the end for me forever.
When I think of myself as dead
I think of myself as living again somehow
In a way I cannot now know-

In The Back Of My Mind
Written by billy burnette and david malloy.
Well I try and I try
You cant forget her
Cant run, cant hide
When you remember
Nights that wont fade away
Yea fade away
Well I still go crazy
When you hear her name
Feels like you just left today
And it drives you insane
But you keep holding on
Yea holding on
In the back of my mind
You live all the time
In the back of my mind
In the back of my mind
Every night, every day
Thats where you still play
In the back of my mind
When I close my eyes
You can still touch her
And I fantasize
Shes still your lover
When I wake up I see
The only place youll be
I know where youll be
In the back of my mind
You live all the time
In the back of my mind
In the back of my mind
Every night, every day
Thats where you still play
In the back of my mind
I remember your eyes burning bright
Like we touched the summer sun
I can see your shadow standing there
On the streets where we used to run
Remember
In the back of my mind
You live all the time
In the back of my mind
In the back of my mind
Every night, every day
Thats where you still play
In the back of my mind
In the back of my mind
You live all the time
In the back of my mind
In the back of my mind

I Don't Really Think So......
they all remember
their dead,
they make landmarks
of place they've been too
they make journals
to keep forever what happened
when they were still alive
they take pictures
preserve them
frame them and hang them in their
libraries
and living rooms
old faces, beautiful bodies
in their dresses
of their own times
and suits and
shoes,
sometimes i ask why?
why do we really have to remember?
when we all leave
what mind in us may still remember?
and will those who inherited our failures
and even fortunes
remember us?

Remembering Mr.Brown
When you reach out
to touch yesterday
Remember the quivering breeze
the stillness whispering in the trees
Remember how the headlines read
Another dark night -Another almost dead
Don't look at me
Don't touch me
Just get on your knees before me
Remember
isn't that what you said?
Remember the fields of flowers
the play of sunlight on
my blackened body
Remember between life and death
there are just shades of gray
Took my life-
and abandoned me in a cold naked hell
You took until there was nothing
left to take
Remember the only love
you had to give
was fake

Demystified for M' lady Cate
The mist persists, it will insist
it has the right to block the light
with trailing wisps of dirty white.
The mist is wrong and it will learn
to leave when it has served its turn
Because the sun will rise and burn
the remnants of the mist away
There is no way that it can stay
once the bright sun comes out to play.
The mist defeated has to go.
It leaves reluctantly and slow
but where it goes I do not know.
It will return with fall of night
lurk in the darkness hid from sight.
Unless outlined by the moonlight.
The silver light makes it appear
to be the ghosts which cause men fear.
But they will quickly disappear
When banks of cloud obscure the light.
Be re-absorbed into the night.
to their dismay but men’s delight.
The mists persist they wont desist
as long as day and night exist
and if they did they would be missed.
The moisture which the mist supply
the plants trees drink thirstily.
Without the mists some plants would die.

Nightmares In The Day
He kept hearing noises
even though they weren't there.
He kept seeing flashes
going off in the air.
He saw them and heard them.
They never seemed to stop.
They made his body shake
from the bottom to the top.
And when it reached the top
he felt a throbbing pain.
He drank. He took pills
but still it did remain.
How long had it been
since he'd been outside?
How long had it been
since his buddies all died?
He could not remember
and what difference would it make?
Every time he saw the scene,
again he'd start to shake.
They told him he was a survivor,
the only one to live.
The blast had killed the rest of them.
If only he could give
his life, his mind another try.
He'd make sure the deadly bombs
would have him die.
For he was a goner in this insane world.
He was in a living nightmare
when he saw the flag unfurled.
Would he make it back
from this nightmarish scene?
Or would his mind reject all normalcy
and what would it mean?
That some have to die in a world gone mad
while others like he made it out of Baghdad?
It must mean that he's living in hell.

What Will You Do Then?
Do you remember the day,
When you said we would be friends forever?
Do you remember the day,
When you said no one could never replace me, ever?
Do you remember the day,
When you said you would always be by my side?
Do you remember the day,
When you left me, and I cried?
Do you remember the day,
When you became popular, and left me behind?
Do you remember the day,
When I pretended I didn't mind?
Do you remember the day,
When YOU got left behind?
Do you remember the day,
When you couldn't see straight, you were blind?
Do you remember the day,
When I guided you through it all?
Do you remember the day,
When I helped you so you wouldn't fall?
Do you remember the day,
When you turned on me once again?
Can you fortell the day,
When you will fall, again, what will you do then?

So Glad Youre Mine
(words & music by arthur crudup)
My babys long and tall,
Shes like a cannonball.
Say, everytime she loves me,
Lordly, you can hear me squall.
She cried, ooo-wee.
I believe Ill change my mind.
She said, Im so glad Im living.
I cried, Im so glad youre mine.
My baby knows just how
To treat me right.
Gives me plenty loving
Morning, noon, and night.
She cried, ooo-wee.
I believe Ill change my mind.
She said, Im so glad Im living.
I cried, Im so glad youre mine.
When my baby does what she does to me,
I climb the highest mountain,
Dive in the deepest sea.
She cried, ooo-wee.
I believe Ill change my mind.
She said, Im so glad Im living.
I cried, Im so glad youre mine.
My babys lips are red
And sweet like wine,
And when she kisses me,
I get high every time.
She cried, oo-wee.
I believe Ill change my mind.
She said, Im so glad Im living.
I cried, Im so glad youre mine.

I'm Already Dead
I have forgiven my sin's
I have forgiven myself.
I have forgiven my friends
I will remember my straits
I will remember my weaknesses
I remember hate
I remember love
I remember the diference
I know the difference between a friend and an enemy
I know myself and how to die
Know if i can only teach myself how too live
For without living.
u are already dead.

Mind-Body Problems.
The human body is an exquisite creation
Most people are abusing it without a question.
However, our mind & body is connected, cannot separate,
What we think & say takes as it is & do not complicate,
The law is built into us, we are what we ate.
What is in the mind reflects our way of living,
Look around & see clearly, what is in your feeling,
If you do not like the happenings,
Learn more how to change your life goings,
Which is the only way to upliftings.
If you have in mind anger, hatred, judgement, envy or similar,
All goes back into your own body
And your life will be a pit of tar.
So, watch out and change your ways,
If you want a better life, and better days.
These are the last days for many,
When we edit each other and choose the company.
Everything is up to our free will,
Choose what you wish in mind and body to refill,
It is not too late yet to add some new skill.

Thats The Way I Remember It
Ts only natural with time
Details can somehow slip your mind
Something so sweet, though incomplete
You fill the spaces in-between
It never will be that way again
Maybe it wasnt way back when
But to my heart and soul
This is the way the story has to be told
Thats the way (thats the way) I remember it
I remember it that way
From the day I was living there
I remember it that way
Some of our stories fade as we grow older
Some get sweeter every time theyre told
Thats the way (thats the way) I remember you that way
Guess now if the truth were known
Among diamonds they were stones
To say would be fair, girl, nothing compares
To when I called you all my own
So darling dont ever you think twice
Those were the best days of my life
When I held you there
And Ill tell this story this way, time and again
Thats the way (thats the way) I remember it
I remember it that way
From the day I was living there
I remember it that way

Do I Know You
(toby keith)
Do I know you
Have we ever met
Youve got a smile I could never forget
Perhaps youve mistaken me for someone you know
Whats that you say
Am I losin my mind
Thats just one of the things girl
That I left behind
You must be talkin about something
That happened a long time ago
If I forgot to remember your name and your face
Excuse me forgetting I must have misplaced
That part of my life that left all the scars
From the back of my mind, to the bottom of my heart
Theres a look in your eyes
Ive seen before
Its all too familiar but I cant be sure
Ive got a memory somewhere
That looks a lot like you
Im still confused
With these feelings inside
I want to reach out and hold you and I wanna hide
Tell me did I really love you
Or are you someone that I never knew
If I forgot to remember your name and your face
Excuse me forgetting I must have misplaced
That part of my life that left all the scars
From the back of my mind, to the bottom of my heart
If I forgot to remember your name and your face
Excuse me forgetting I must have misplaced
That part of my life that left all the scars
From the back of my mind, to the bottom of my heart

Killing The Mind And Time
Killing the mind and time. Mentally broken. Helpless in a cage full of rage. So many stages deformity. A slow and painful process. One day you'll remember nothing. Its better then the dark places you walk now. Be the strength when their should be none to be found. Everything is coming down. Killing the mind and time. A constant presence of a life that's rewinding. Undermining the logic of decades. Slow the pictures fade. Staring in the nothingness. Your body still here but your already gone. Play the guitar, play your song. To forget is so wrong. Killing the mind and time. I rather be blind. Then be one of the constantly confused. Words come out but they make no sense. The absence of the here now. You are asked, 'who current president is? ' They say j.f.k. This becomes such a horrible day. Killing the mind and time. This curse continues to get worse. The basic abilities go. Self deification. Public masturbation. No clue of the truth. A nightmare in which their is no cure. Yet its being constantly searched for. Million for the cause. But we are only able to slow it down. A pathalogical breakdown. Regrets that will stay in the back of my head. Put on my happy face cause you are not yet dead. Killing the mind and time.
-Dedicated to families who have someone who has had strokes, has vascular dementia, alzhiemers, or a similar brain condition which cause them to forget.
