Imprisoned by my own heart' s gate

Imprisoned by my own heart' s gate
If I could only weave the route of my escape
My mind is stunned, all the paths are blocked
How can I break love's heavy locks
Submit myself to the sweet rapture of love
And face the cruel torture of loath

I went to sleep last night so late
When all the flowers had long ago closed their heads
My eyes were left to the dark to hesitate
When my heart to contend with turmoil so great

So strong is the appetite
For being loved, so definite
That though we know it profitless
we never learn to forfeit it in effortless

Does love need love in return
Yet we seek that reciprocity
And cannot help but to yearn for it
If transgression, I tell you of it
And if my blame, I shall avow it

Love lost

She was so cruel and capricious making me bury our love
Not in a grave yard under a sluttish tomb stone
But beneath a tall oak tree of a forest dark, wide and alone
Where none can come across or see from above

There will be no memorial days or sad hours
And I shall never visit the tree or put flowers
Yet the mouth I loved so much to kiss and to treat
Was none like so daring and bittersweet

I shall never go to the under tree love grave
For the woods are hostile, dark and cold
My time I shall for new love save
New love, new joy, constrain the rebel heart, forget the old

All day long I shall stay in the sun
Where the wide winds blow and flowers bloom
But oh, I shall cry at night for my sorrow is still undone
When none will know my time of agony and gloom

He who would never his name write

He who would never his name write
On this bouquet of flowers
Yet your face in his heart inscribed
Your exquisite stature in his eyes a tower

He who one day you will forgive yourself to forget
His memory from mind and heart you will let
And he will be far away
Like the sun at the end of the day

He who will sink into a minuscule oblivion
Never to appear in mind or in opinion
He who will cease to be
In the dearest heart of thee

And those who would walk behind his coffin
Will never tell the roads of love
His heart and soul toiled and trod

A Day Of Laugh And Love In The Sun

A day of laugh and love in the sun
The winds blew gently through whitening leaves as naked flames
The scent of spring flowers spread softly as carried by hands of a nun
Sea and vast echoing duns, her sound speaking, repeating my name

My name on her voluptuous lips erupted my heart so high
That there was noting left inside me; my spirit flew free
Bouncing on the sands; lifting into the vaults of boundless sky
Diving into the sapphire depth of the magic sea

A day of laugh and love in the sun
Where are you day? where you hide where you run?
All I know your comrades days gray and slow come and go one by one
Her picture froze; never to return to meadows and do the not done

The day of laugh and love do not hesitate, come not of late
Flinging the gloom secluded nights
On my painful heart; bring back your joy, laugh and lights
Pull me, take me out of this horrible mind of state

Come again with morning fresh light mist
With her again, the beauty queen whose stately brow
The dew pearled winds of dawn have kissed
So incorrigibly I yearn to re play that day in meadow and in show

Stay on her floating locks and lovely freight
Of overflowing blooms, and earliest shoots
In lea of green hues, yielding safe pledge to their fruits
we will watch the bird leading her soft colored broods

Now in cold winter tide on what shall I hope or stare?
Except naked trunks, and the black frigid earth with brilliance rare.

Forsaking My Love

I hate you
I wish to tear you away from me
This tumor that clings to my chest
The thing that makes me ache
That haunts my dreams
And tears at my desires
You have brought me only pain
My untamed heart
That beast that gnaws at my soul
That pitifully whines
Bringing my mind into unwanted pain
Yet how can I blame you
How can I chastise you when I listen intently to your pleas
Why should I punish you for what my eyes feed upon
How can I blame my eyes for falling upon her
She who brings light to the eternal darkness of my soul
She whose eyes bring me to subjection
Whose smile leaves me in awe
How can I blame you when my ears are met with her laughter
How they submerge into her song
How they quiver at her voice
Why should I punish you for inclining my soul
Tempting it with the one sense that has been forsaken by her
How could I look over the thought of the brushing of lips
The touching of hands
The binding of the soul, mind, and body
O you wretched heart
What am I to do with this constant companion
How could I tear you away
When she is the cause of my agony
Or rather
It is the lack of her which brings me sorrow
It is the need for her that leaves my heart in pain
Yet she is not mine
She was never mine
She will never be mine
O my poor heart
How can I make you see reason
When all you do is show me the truth

Love oscillations

We knew the flames of fire; we heard desirer's roar
When our love’s inferno to its heights soars
Not once, nor twice we tried from each other to flee
Yet we were swept again by our love as by a vexed foaming sea
To its steep depth, to its sweet pains
Engulfed, from our love’s locks escape was in vain

This chamber where I now dwell
Still bare the sweet memories of love’s hell
Dappling grace, of more glorious days we knew
The trace of sweet storm that passed without anew
Here nothing is like it was so clear
Nor like it felt when you were here
Elusive pictures, shadows glooms, pale reflection
Of yours haunt me, mock my heart’s devastation
Yes, nothing is like it was, and what was
Follows no clues, it obeys no laws
It does not resemble what happens now, what carries on
In my life, the living of love’s deserted pawn

My dear love, my sweet witch
You are unique in my world, out of my reach
From dawn till dusk
About your being I wonder and I ask
Still love you dear, love you more
Than ever before

I know, as I knew, all your secrets, all your lies
Your beguiles, your deceits, your disguise
Yet their traps I failed to avoid
Your charm my vision, my sanity cloyed
The tormenting madness of forbidden love’s cage
Rapture great, zeal of sighing sweet, suffocating rage

And yet in the dark of cold nights
Other knights had bestowed your flesh with satiety
Of fresh lust’s variety
Upon the diminishing light of a rusted lamp
They left you lying jaded sweat in a bed lump

Time goes on, singing its own mourning themes
And each day is like a dagger, each moment like a scream
That never departs the throat
As it usually does, as it always aught
How can I tell our love that was but a flower?
Now turned into swamp of boiling sour

For now I know the danger of lover’s trap
When it tempts us to lull in its perilous lap
If after all these decaying years
There are left for me few dangling tears
My heart will less explode, if you would cry
I have within me this caution of a lie

My dear love, my sweet dove
You are unique in my world, out of my love
From dawn till dusk
About your being I wonder and I ask
Still love you dear, love you more
Than ever before
So it will go on, and so it will be
As long and as far mine eyes can see

Picture this

On then off relationship does it make sense? My heart

doesn’t understand this nonsense. My heart thinks on its own.

It holds defense when love is doing wrong. Holds offense

to keep its love at a steady beat and in control. My heart

even plays music cause it knows your favorite old R&B songs.

My heart keeps memories of special moments so when I think

of the bad I see the good and wont be mad or sad. My heart

knows it can't win a fight against love. My heart can stay up late

night and argue with love. My heart can't hide love in the dark

because my heart likes to show off love in during day light.

But we can make love at the stroke of midnight. My heart can’t lie

about love. My heart will write about love telling love how much big

love I got over the love I already got for love. My heart can't run from

love don't want to leave it behind. My heart rather walking close to love

to catch everything my heart needs from love. My heart can’t be in two

different places cause it only remember one face. My heart will do

anything to prove its love. My heart can’t close its eyes on love but

my heart could dream about love when I sleep. My heart is not about

to beg for love either you want me or you don't. And they say a person

heart doesn't have a brain.

Does everything happens for a reason or because

how the seasons changes maybe we just don't see

the blessing we have in front of us.

Love Never Loved Me

I live for love, and all it brings
The heart it heals the song it sings
The sweetest kiss, the warm embrace
Will melt the ice before it breaks
No matter what I do, no matter what I say
What can I do when nothing stays the same
It's written in the stars, the story ends the same
Everything changes
Love never loved me
Love left me out in the cold
Love never loved me
Love gave up on me after all
I've taken chances, set them free
I've taken back virginity
I've been adored, I've been the one
I've broken hearts, I've had my fun
No matter what I do, no matter what I say
What can I do when nothing stays the same
It's written in the stars, the story ends the same
Everything changes
Love never loved me
Love left me out in the cold
Love never loved me
Love gave up on me after all
You can't break a heart that's already broken
You can't steal a heart that's already stolen
And what doesn't kill me is making me strong
I'm ready for love
You can't break a heart that's already broken
You can't steal a heart that's already stolen
And what doesn't kill me is making me strong
I'm ready for love
Love never loved me
You can't break a heart that's already broken
You can't steal a heart that's already stolen
My greatest desire is to love and be loved
Cos I'm a believer I'm not giving up
And what doesn't kill me is making me strong
I'm waiting, I'm willing, I'm ready for love
Love never loved me
Love left me out in the cold
Love never loved me
Love gave up on me after all
Love never loved me (love never loved me)
Love left me out in the cold
Love never loved me (love never loved me)
Love gave up on me after all

My lover and I

When the ever resilient nightingale to his date
Chirrups his songs day long and night late
My love and I keep our sweet state
In the lush and balmy bower
Of varieties bursting blooming flowers
Sweetening with love chat the fresh young air
All day from rose cheeked morning till dusk we are there
Till the watchman guarding in the tower
Announces the approaching close hour
The gored vermilion sun sank in the West
And the night rests on canopies and on crests

Lily's Silent Tears

Each night Lily lay down her weary head
She pulled her pillow closer
Turned her face buried it deep as it soaked up all the silent tears
She cried, she begged,
She wished she hoped but most of all she closed her eyes and prayed
From the corners of her closed eyes a tear escaped….two… three….till she set them all free
Lily cried herself to sleep night after night
Crying over life and love lost
Time slipped by

High above in the heavens one night
There way up above you and I
Upon the brightest star
Sat he
Writing away his heart
He felt a tremor run through his heart
He heard a distant cry
He closed his eyes and there deep within the beauty of his loving heart He saw that tear
One silent solitary sad burning tear that bore so much pain
He closed his eyes and wished and willed
To see the owner of the tear
The silent tear that caused the tremor in his heart

He found Lily lying on her pillow crying herself to sleep
He reached out and touched her
Soothed her healed her loved her
Her days filled with warmth
Her nights filled with moonlight and love

Then one cold night he left a tremor in her heart
With unspoken word
He told her
He loved her
They were friends
But
He could never love her in the same way that she loved him
For his heart was already taken

Night after night once again Lily lays her head upon her faithful pillow
Night after night once gain she cries herself to sleep
Night after night once again she feels the tremor inside her heart
But
Night after night he feels the tremor of another

As Long As Your Eyes Are Blue

'Will you love me, sweet, when my hair is grey
And my cheeks shall have lost their hue?
When the charms of youth shall have passed away
Will your love as of old prove true?

'For the looks may change, and the heart may range
And the love be no longer fond;
Will you love with truth in the years of youth
And away to the years beyond?'

Oh, I love you, sweet, for your locks of brown
And the blush on your cheek that lies,
But I love you most for the kindly heart
That I see in your sweet blue eyes.

For the eyes are the signs of the soul within,
Of the heart that is leal and true,
And, my own sweetheart, I shall love you still,
Just as long as your eyes are blue.

For the locks may bleach, and the cheeks of peach
May be reft of their golden hue;
But, my own sweetheart, I shall love you still,
Just as long as your eyes are blue.

Ah a happy lover once was I

Ah a happy lover once was I who had come
To look on her the one I loved so well
She who lightened and rang my gateway bell
Then to learn her gone so far from my heart home

Her departure saddened and dimmed all magic light
Happy time dies off at once from bower and hall
And all places are dark, dark in whole and all
The heart chambers are empty of any delight

I reminisced pleasant memories of a familiar spot
In which we two were wont to meet
Under a tree in an open field, in a chamber down lyric street
Foe all in dark now where you are not

Yet as I walk other streets wandering there
During those heart break deserted walks, I find
A flower beaten down with rain and wind
Which once they fostered up with gentle care

So she left me torn and tattered in deep regret
My forsaken heart my devastated soul
And this shaken flower like our love used to stand tall
Which she used to care for fades not yet

Oh poor love, Oh wilted flower hardly to rejoice the heart nor to please the eye
The force that nourished you is now your own demise and final tomb
Where is the hope that it can ever once again bloom
If dying, let it vanquish in the place where I myself die

Could You Love Me?

Could you,
Love me...
And another.
And another.
And another.

Could you,
Love me...
And another.
And another.

Could you,
Love me...
And another.
And another.
And another.

Could you,
Love me...
And another.
And another.

Could you love me,
At night.
And feed my appetite.
Now could you do this,
With another...
And another.

Could you kiss me passionately?
Take risks and submit totally.
Could you do this,
With me...
And another?

Could you,
Love me...
And another.
Could you,
Love me...
And another.
Could you,
Love me...
And another.
And another.

I remember the mending.
After bending and consenting.
I went through all the suffering.
But I don't want that,
On my mind.
Knowing you might be sometimes,
With another.
And another,
Any another

Now could you,
Love me...
And another.
Could you,
Love me...
And another.
Could you,
Love me...
And another.
And another?

Why

You said you loved me then you left
Where did you go did you forget
I searched high an low
Which direction did you go
You left a void in my heart which i can not fill
Its been months and i miss you still
Please come back and fill my heart
Replenish it with the love we had at the start
My heart grows weaker every day
Waiting for your love to return my way
You left in february
That day is etched in my memory
You called me after a while
By then it was to late someone else had caught your smile
You told me you loved me and wanted to be free
Before it was us now its just me
Do you love the freedom do you love being free
Or is it you just dont love me

Scold me

Scold me for your eyes I love, and they, as pitying me,
Knowing your heart torments me with deep disdain,
Have put on mocking mourners of nature to be,
Looking with pretty wrath upon my pains.

The morning sun of heaven knowing what my night been through
Better becomes the gray sobbing cheeks of the East,
And that full star that ushers in the heaven sees my day's blue
Loses half of its glory to the sober dark west,

And your two glorious eyes embedded in such complexion face:
Will there be some pity there for me to beseem your heart that I adore
To mourn for me and torture and despise me no more,
Since even mourning does your beauty grace

Oh, fair creature of the field let me speak and your heart yields
I would my rude words had the influnce without offence or guilt
To lead your thoughts as your fair looks do mine
Then my world would never known a brighter sun shine

God knows I cannot force love as you do upon me
My words will be for sooth and spotless as my youth
A dimond set in lead will reatin its worth and its truth
Though I am base in respect to thee

This Is Love

Love.
Rises above
Colour, religion and creed.
It is unconditional.
It is pain.
Brings some rain.
And we all will bleed.
You cannot trap it.
Do not clap it.
It plays no encore.
It smiles in moonbeams.
Shines in the stars.
Lives in sweet dreams
Or seedy downtown bars.
It moves like the ocean
You will sink beneath its wave.
Your heart a music box,
That fate always locks
And only sweet eyes can save.
Its brightest smile
Left everywhere.
In coolest style.
It scents the evening air.
It is immeasurable
Pleasureable.
It scars
And heals.
It wounds and steals.
But to have loved
Is more than a reason to live.
It may leave
You will grieve.
Yet may return
In lonely night
Like flickering candlelight.
It is patient.
It never dies.
Comes for an instant
With orange sunrise.
When you have lost.
Count the cost.
A heart that's torn.
And a reason to be born.
It is everything.
And all else is nothing.
All is forgotten
But love.
It soothes it cuts.
The music is eternal.
The heartbreak is infernal.
It teaches us to feel.
And steals our hearts
As we reel.
Before it flies.
It keeps no time.
When two hearts rhyme.
It smites
Yet delights.
So, hold her while you can.
Kiss softly her cheek.
- Be a man,
And never seek where passion ran.
Keep your dreams.
And when you sigh
They'll fly your kite
In bluest sky.
If you wait at the gate
Of lonliness
Love may visit with sweet caress.
Or never return.
Life is brief, but love is long.
How long will that candle burn.

Without Your Love

(myles goodwyn)
Published by northern goody two tunes, ltd./capac - ascap
Seemingly related, its complicated
Its understood now, its up to me now
Everybody knows that its over, you
Everybody knows that its gonna break my heart in two
(without your love) without your love, its wrong
(without your love) without you, Im not that strong
(without your love) I got nothin at all
Its such a long, long way to go, without your love
Needing you, needing anyone as much as I need you
Takin the truth, takin nothin for granted
Reaching out in all directions, Ill have you to stay
Waiting for an invitation, to steal your heart away
(without your love) without your love, its wrong
(without your love) without you, Im not that strong
(without your love) I got nothin at all
Its such a long, long way to go
(without your love) without your love, Im done
(without your love) without you, I cant go on
(without your love) I got nothin at all
Its such a long, long way to go, without your love
Seems now that Ive mistaken you
Seems like now I could be losing you
What I feel, its all illusion
What you feel, its so confusing
So unreal that Im still tryin to steal your heart away
(without your love) without your love, its wrong
(without your love) without you, Im not that strong
(without your love) I got nothin at all
Its such a long, long way to go

Footsteps

Footsteps in the dark
Only love will break your heart
Footsteps, footsteps
Whenever trouble comes around
Or lonely nights lead underground
And far in the dark
Abandoned cars suddenly start up
An anxious sound
As long as I hear your footsteps
In the dark thats all I need
Footsteps in the dark
Only love will break your heart
Footsteps, footsteps
When loneliness induces fear
Like waves against a
Ramshackle pier
When thunder and rain
Scar the windowpane once again
I want you near
As long as I hear your footsteps
In the dark thats all I need
Im longing to see you
I want you, I need you
Like a child who feels afraid
Of the dark at night
Hoping to hear a gentle touch
Turning on a welcome light
As long as I hear your footsteps
In the dark thats all I need
As long as I hear your footsteps
In the dark thats all I need
Footsteps in the dark
Only love will break your heart
Footsteps, footsteps
Footsteps in the dark
Only love will break your heart

A walk in the park

I saw them walking in a park under bright summer day
She and him in a walk of lovers calm pray
He the man I might have grown to be
She my lover, I so yearn to live and love in rapture and glee

His hair was full in mane drawing light and people sight
Tall and handsome, an ora in stature and in height
Unlike me of insignificant form and small diminished frame
Shall I compare myself to him, I can make no claim

Yet His body was a thing grown thin stark,
Like as if hungry for love that never came;
His soul was frozen in the park so aimless and dark,
Unwarmed untouched forever by love's flame.

I felt my lover instantaneously look at him
And then turn suddenly to me –
Her eyes were magic to defy in grim
The unfortunate compare I dread; the man I shall never be.

When the love is gone

Looking for love and everywhere are bared without tenderness of the love.
Inside my soal searching for love to hold it tight in my arms.
But love has gone so long ago and how can be found.
How can I live without the warm love desires.
The days are all the same have no taste no colors not even names, without love just are following each other and passing by.
Every moment is like ahuge deserted places aching my heart just humbling by.
The time has stopped no where to run to escape the loneliness to find love.
There is nothing to do, no one to blame and whom to blame! And how can i!
Blame the nothing that is sitrring inside deeper of my heart.
How can I blame you love!

Love, Locked Away

She hid her love for much too long.
She would not let it show.
She walked alone on lonely paths
where colorless flowers grow.

She kept her love inside her heart
where silently it grew.
She roamed alone among tall trees
where silent birds all flew.

And when at night she lie abed
she cried inside her mind.
She slept alone with lonely dreams
where love is left behind.

The flowers were colorful, birds did sing
but they were not seen or heard.
For all of her lonely dreams at night
left her heart unstirred.
