A child winter night

Wailing whirling wheeling winds
When shall you blow again
And let the momentous drops of little rain
Come down mossy rocks and on fields of vast terrain
Hush under the cloak of night the nightingale hides and no more sings

Come back howling winds of winter night
Shake the stature of every tree tall
Its leaves long had reddened to a point of fall
Bring back the moments of a child
Scared and fetuses shape cuddled from winds wild
Under his blanket adoring a world of joy and bright

You are caught in moments

You are caught in moments
in passion like a kite pulling,
where you hang in wild winds

in a frolicking flight and still you are scared,
every moment is emphasized.
You are caught in moments

at your own insistence
want to pull me down in yearning
where you hang in wild winds

but sometimes it’s as if you are longing,
want to shelter against me,
you are caught in moments

want to break away in the song of the wind,
still you leave an impression
where you hang in wild winds,

you are searching in impulse and desire
with nails that you put into my back,
you are caught in moments
where you hang in wild winds.

If you go away

If you go away and you have set the day
In my heart I foster a blessing, in my lips a pray
That you shall guard and protect yourself
And your life be under these heaven and sun safe

And if you wish to say ‘Good bye’ and if for ever
Still for ever… as ‘ever’ is such deafening, I do wish you well
Even though my heart with painful pangs gasps for air, never
Against you shall it bare to rebel

Yet quietly and reclusive it retreats to dark solitary
To vanquish its sorrow and sweet pains and deals daily with adversary
It has to unchain to unwind and to wean
Itself from her, the one that had been

I, I his master have locked it in the chamber of my chest
Where shaken and frightened it will seek but never find rest
For I have thrown the dungeon’s keys
And condemned it to live by fading memories

And If I hear it sobbing long into a cold winter night
I will command it to be a proud daring knight
And so I shall say:
Dear heart! There is not a joy life can give, like that it takes away

Oh it is such a fearful thing to glance and bare
Back on the bloom of love long wielded
It is a flower beaten down with rain and wind
Which once they fostered up with gentle care

Your words sounded like the howling winds on barren branch load
When the joy of laughter ceases
Suffocated love dries out and frizzes
And there are no morning breezes to move away the ominous cloud

And the heart within me crying in the bewitched night
It is crying for its deprived light
With no language with a wordless cry
And yet so potent is its sigh

Howling, howling, howling the wind over dark land and sea
No refuge no comfort can come to me
Wailing, wailing, wailing the sounds of the night
The ominous moon stares at the snow and the downs are as a day bright

The Season of Change

Autumn winds gently in,
washing away Summer's sin...

Autumn winds blow free,
chasing colored leaves from every tree...

Autumn winds chill,
frosting through every valley and hill...

Autumn winds passed,
waiting for Winter's snowy blast.

The Longest Night

What passing-bells for these who die as cattle?
- only the monstrous anger of the guns.
Only the stuttering rifles rapid rattle
Can patter out their hasty orisons.
No mockeries now for them; no prayers nor bells;
Nor any voice of mourning save the choirs, -
The shrill, demented choirs of wailing shells;
And bugles calling for them from sad shires.
(wilfred owen, 1918)
Now the day has run
When the cover comes
But any fool can see
Ahead
Silence is my friend
But it has to end
Any fool can see
Ahead
Its the longest night
Its the longest night
Cold winds may blow
On the longest night
So we write our letters
To those far away
Any fool can see
Ahead
The distant sound of thunder
A choir of wailing shells
Any fool can see
Ahead
Its the longest night
Its the longest night
Cold winds may blow
On the longest night
I dont want to fight
I dont know whos right
Cold winds they blow
On this longest night
Its the longest night
Its the longest night
Cold winds may blow
On this longest night

The Cruel Winds of Winter

Got up this morning, no sun in my eyes,
The house is so cold, no warmth to the fire,
My love is gone, he took all my desire,
And cruel winds of winter howled all night.

My love could warm me in the coldest time,
Bring the light of day to the darkest night,
As tears of my sorrow fall from my eyes,
The cruel winds of winter cry in delight.

Pull on my coat, keep the chill from my side,
I walk by the sea, the salt stings my eye,
The caps are all gray, like clouds in the sky,
And with those cruel winds of winter, I cry.

As tears of my sorrow fall to the sand,
My love is not here to warn my cold hand,
He’s gone like the sun from this harsh, gray land,
And only the wind seems to understand.

This endless winter has replaced his light,
My sweet love gone, no warmth in my sight,
I drift lost and lonely, no sleep I find,
Still those winds cry with me deep in the night.

My heart so heavy, life has no delight,
And the cruel winds of winter, torment my night.

Love at first sight

There comes time when I watch an ancient sea at its slow ebb
Long hours with howling winds echoing over vast sand
Since I was entangled in your beauty's eyes web
And trembled at the touch of un gloved extended hand

Since I met you I never looked at the midnight ora of summer sky
But well remember each moment your slaying eyes memorized light
Nor I can look or compare a wild rose vermilion dye
But your cheek where my lips will crave to dwell in bright

Can I look in adoration at any budding flower
When my fond ear adores every sound uttered from your lips
And heartbreaking for love sound, passionate wording- it does devour
Any sweetness you may speak under the sun eclipse

Every delight you may bestow is a sweet remembering
Followed by subtle grief this may into my heart bring

Love lost

She was so cruel and capricious making me bury our love
Not in a grave yard under a sluttish tomb stone
But beneath a tall oak tree of a forest dark, wide and alone
Where none can come across or see from above

There will be no memorial days or sad hours
And I shall never visit the tree or put flowers
Yet the mouth I loved so much to kiss and to treat
Was none like so daring and bittersweet

I shall never go to the under tree love grave
For the woods are hostile, dark and cold
My time I shall for new love save
New love, new joy, constrain the rebel heart, forget the old

All day long I shall stay in the sun
Where the wide winds blow and flowers bloom
But oh, I shall cry at night for my sorrow is still undone
When none will know my time of agony and gloom

The Cold Winds Of January

Last night in my dreams i did hear the winds roar
Above the old high fields of far Claramore
A cold Winter moon crept behind clouds to hide
And on the bleak hillside the hungry fox cried
And a bird so distinctive even in his wild cry
The screech of the barn owl echoed in the sky
A Winter's night in January by old Clara hill
The howling of the wind drowned out the babble of the rill
That towards the big river downland ever does flow
Through many a field and by many a hedgerow
Old jack frost of January is in the cold air
And the hedgerows and deciduous trees of their foliage are bare
And the cold winds of January in the dead of night roar
Above the old bare fields of high Claramore.

Not Finished

A perfect night
the stars are sparkling bright
staring into the sky,
the little house in the creek
sits nestled under the tall mossy tree
the house aged by nature...beautiful
as the rain starts to pour
the tall mossy tree protects the house and its front door
the mossy tree bears the weight of the sky
as the house is kept dry
more clouds swarm in recklessly
lightning cracks as it sets fire to the tall mossy tree
the tree stands strong....
but i doesn't know if it can last long
as the rain runs down the tree's trunk and roots
like tears

Winter Fancies

I

Winter without
And warmth within;
The winds may shout
And the storm begin;
The snows may pack
At the window pane,
And the skies grow black,
And the sun remain
Hidden away
The livelong day--
But here--in here is the warmth of May!

II

Swoop your spitefullest
Up the flue,
Wild Winds--do!
What in the world do I care for you?
O delightfullest
Weather of all,
Howl and squall,
And shake the trees till the last leaves fall!

III

The joy one feels,
In an easy chair,
Cocking his heels
In the dancing air
That wreathes the rim of a roaring stove
Whose heat loves better than hearts can love,
Will not permit
The coldest day
To drive away
The fire in his blood, and the bliss of it!

IV

Then blow, Winds, blow!
And rave and shriek,
And snarl and snow
Till your breath grows weak--
While here in my room
I'm as snugly shut
As a glad little worm
In the heart of a nut!

Winter Winds

winter winds so cold
winter winds blow old
the way it moves
fits into grooves
how smooth it blows
like a smooth robe
the way it feels against my skin
it could make me sin
how cold i am
i can not stand
winter winds
yet i say
winter winds are here to stay

Winds Of Change

Written by kit hain.
Tonight theres thunder in the sky
Just like the night you said good-bye
And whats left of a heartache
Runs like rain from my eyes
The winds of change
Gonna blow it all away
Aint it strange
How you wont matter
The winds of change
Gonna blow it all away
I stood like a rock against the storm
And you never knew, did you, how I was torn
And if your memory finally leaves me too
Well I wont sit and mourn
The winds of change
Gonna blow it all away
Aint it strange
How you wont matter
The winds of change
Gonna blow it all away
I shoulda known better than to love you
I shoulda known that you were the hurting kind
Now Im so tired of thinking of you
I just wanna forget that you were ever mine
Tonight theres shadows on my face
Every one tells a story of your disgrace
But soon the dawn will come
And Ill be gone without a trace
The winds of change
Gonna blow it all away
Aint it strange
How you wont matter
The winds of change
Gonna blow it all away
Aint it strange
How you wont matter...

The winds

From the meadows her walks have left a balm so sweet
That whenever summer wind wilts and sighs
It sets the jewel print of her lovely feet
In violet blue hue as her slaying eyes
To the woody hollows in which we hide and meet
And the heavenly valleys of daunting Paradise

A slender bird in foliage high, his wings would not shake
One long white bloom of a tall sturdy tree
The white bloom reed fell bending into the fresh lake
As the pimpernels dozed in the summer sun on the lea

But the rose was all night advocating her sake
Knowing my love promise to me
With the lilies they were all night awake
wondering what my love acts and takes will prove to be

Four winds blowing through the bright sky,
My heart is heavy with forlorn love
You have seen poor me under the burden of love I die,
No remedy from the mountains around or the heaven above

I asked the winds: Tell me then what I shall do
That my maiden love may be honest, virtue and true.
Shall I be stern with her to the haughty
Or shall kisses and sweet talks will sway the maid so naughty

Oh, sighed the spring wind from out the South,
'Lay a kiss upon her voluptuous mouth, '
And the winter grumpy wind from out the West without mercy or taste,
'Wound the heart within the lovely valley of her breast, '

A prompt protest came from the summer wind from out the East,
'On the contrary! Send her a banquet of a lavish feast, '
With disdain and mockery breaths the autumn wind from out the North,
Exclaimed: 'In the tempest winds thrust her forth;

Shall I be cruel and harsh as she
Then her love will pacify and relent to be kind to me

Love On A Winter's Night

Couples make love on a long winter's night
and never think about snow.
Outside the flakes and blustery winds
are fierce, however the two don't know.

No fierceness interferes with murmurs and sighs
as frost on the panes appear.
Intent on only each other's pleasures,
what is it that they hear?

They're listening to the sounds of two hearts beating
and waiting for their breath to slow.
And outside the winds slow down too,
no longer do they blow.

The long winter's night has come and gone
and in morn their bodies stir,
oblivious to the winter's chill in the night,
smiles and remembrances occur
in the early morning light.

The Homeless

Dry and cold were the bitter winds
that crackled the ice on the panes.
Dry and cold were the old woman's hands,
red and raw from the pains.

Old were these winds that had no end.
They surfaced every winter.
Old were the hands that were this woman's
that felt as if they would splinter.

The winter winds were not welcome
for she had no place to go.
Looking for shelter from the cold,
she welcomed the sight of snow.

For the snow would blanket the box she was in
for a night or two.
She stayed inside it for many long hours
as if it were an igloo.

All through the hours she rubbed her hands.
Through a slit she looked to view,
looking for a slant of sunshine soon
but still the cold winds blew.

This is the plight of the homeless.
This is a curse on our lands.
They found her dead when the sun finally came
with stiff and frozen hands.

The Dewdrops Song

In cold of night
From fog alight
My drops, to wwet the petals, red
With pristine liquid that I shed
Soaking the grasses wild and free
Except the ones under the tree
Where soon lovers may sit in bliss
On early morn to dream and kiss

Oh bud, drink up
Empty your cup
Before the sun can dry me out
Ensure your blooming comes about;
I will try not to drench the rose
As ladies lift it to their nose;
And pooled drops I would never want
If it is cause to drown an ant;
True, I collect to soak the bough
To fall like rain as winds blow now.

Winds Of Change

i throw my sigh
and then it came back as
part of the
the winds of change

with some brown leaves
and wings of birds
and butterflies
the winds of change
has come

with the rays of the sun
with the songs of the day
with the hair of my woman
the winds of change
has come

with the yellow sunflower
with the humming bees
and soft rains
and rainbow
the winds of change has
finally come

take me to the magic
of this moment
my winds of change

Though Winds May Blow

Though winds may blow, though rain may fall,
when tenderness returns again,
wings kiss bliss air, mists fade, joy's reign
brave breasts time's streams, remains on call,
brings comfort through night's harshest squall.

Though rain may fall, though winds may blow,
'forever' neither empty phrase
nor passing phase is shown, love's blaze
seeds pastures green, serene, to sow
complicity with ease aglow.

Mad Song

The wild winds weep
And the night is a-cold;
Come hither, Sleep,
And my griefs infold:
But lo! the morning peeps
Over the eastern steeps,
And the rustling birds of dawn
The earth do scorn.

Lo! to the vault
Of paved heaven,
With sorrow fraught
My notes are driven:
They strike the ear of night,
Make weep the eyes of day;
They make mad the roaring winds,
And with tempests play.

Like a fiend in a cloud,
With howling woe,
After night I do crowd,
And with night will go;
I turn my back to the east,
From whence comforts have increas'd;
For light doth seize my brain
With frantic pain.
