Shiva 5- Akasalingam-Chidambaram
Times and times Thee Thyself depute Thy blissless vacuum
At times superbia when created inordent tantrum
Of ascetical pride of a conundrum
Did dissuade the conceited exhorting with Thy fulcrum
Simple mendicant simply handsome
Raptured everyone spacy awesome
Relinquished pride replenished a blossom
Penta-phased bliss Thy dance of macrocosm
O'Lord Thy chasis of cosmos when robed
Of tiger and deer and snake and moon adorned
And demon Muyalavan under Thy feet crushed
And Thee when danced was Pathanjali stirred
Desire irrepressible was granted the show replayed
Live for Vyagrapada alongwith again Thee danced
Rhythm of cosmos, energy created and destroyed
Elemental atoms cascading spacewise they enjoyed
And meaningful o'Lord of space
Thy dance..revelation of Thy grace
Creation, sustenance, dissolution in race
Thine concealment and bestowment after chase
Formed through a semi-form though to a human face
Hey Shiva, truism is Thee a lingam of space

Mayakoothan-Thirukulandhai
No wonder Thee swing joyfully in and away
For Thee know well, the cause is Thyself
Plus and minus so sway as Thee dance and sway
In Thou heart's locket is verdant Thy conscience
Hinging Alarmelmangai is blushing shared
Thou Kausthuba too jingles in coherence
And Lord, it's Thee so playing
For pining Kulandhaivalli, much longing for Thee
All-knowing Thee betroths to Thyself her embracing
Thy consorts so nestled in Thou heart
Thee seat them right and left
Then atonce hasten to slay an evil spirit
Thou mother-in-law freed from slayed Asmasuran
Ecstatic Thee dance and dance on the dead demon
Happy thence, known to us Mayakoothan
In this travelling cosmos the ominous Saturn
Spins in Thy hold per Thy ruling destiny
Melody and melancholy, Thine rhythmic pattern
Plus and minus so sway as Thee dance and sway

Object of My First Desire
Object of my first desire,-
Jesus, crucified for me;-
All to happiness aspire,
Only to be found in Thee;
Thee to praise, and Thee to know,
Constitute our bliss below;
Thee to see, and Thee to love,
Constitute our bliss above.
Lord it is not life to live,
If Thy presence Thou deny;
Lord, if Thou Thy presence give,
'Tis no longer death - to die.
Source and Giver of repose,
Singly from Thy smile it flows;
Peace and happiness are Thine,
Mine they are, if Thou art mine.
While I feel Thy love to me,
Every object teems with joy;
Here, O may I walk with Thee,
Then into Thy presence die.
Let me but Thyself possess -
Total sum of happiness -
Real bliss I then shall prove,
Heaven below and heaven above.

Hymn of Sovereign Grace
Formed for thyself, and turned to thee,
Thy praises, Lord , I show;
No more, with sacrilegious pride,
I rob thee of thy due.
Divested of my fancied plumes,
I throw me at thy feet;
Nor, as a debt, thy favour claim,
But, as an alms, intreat.
Repentance, holiness, and faith.
By which to thee we live,
Are not conditions we perform,
But graces we receive.
Thy Spirit does not offer life,
But raises from the dead;
And neither asks the sinner's leave,
Nor needs the sinner's aid.
Thy power, before the fruit is good,
Must first renew the tree;
We rise, and work the works of God,
When wrought upon by thee.
Each grace of our celestial birth
From thy blest influence springs;
Which plants, and nourishes, and guards,
And to perfection brings.
Gardens of thine, enclosed and sealed,
Thou all our works hast wrought;
And wilt eternal peace ordain
For those thy blood hath bought.
Had not thy love laid hold on us,
We has not loved thee now;
Possess us quite, thou God of grace,
To whom our all we owe!

Devi
Sphere of a sphereless space
Shape of a shapeless grace
Metre of a metreless race
Rhythm of a rhythmless pace
Wherefrom does this soul evolve
Hey! Devi, in and around Thee revolve
Life and death in I resolve
Sin and fear, off Thee absolve
Black and dark Thee in glow
White and bright Thee in flow
Green and red Thee up grow
Pink and blossom aroma Thee sow
Timeless womb of myriad genesis
Timless tomb of final synthesis
Monotheism in polytheistic thesis
Devi, Devi of plentiful Devis
Power of powerful pervasion universal
Mother of finite multitude fertile
Why not, why not o' bountiful
I call Thee my karmic-goal
The filthy void wide within mine
Shackled devoid of pathos by grace Thine
A zing of bliss then strikes me fine
Mother! my ecstatic anthem in cosmic align!

The Cosmic Dance - III
This attraction Shiva couldn’t resist
He wanted to have with it a tryst
Vrinda, who was managing the show
Denying entry to Shiva she said, ‘NO.’
Krishana there, no other male could go
Only ladies could be other part of show
Tempted to join by the irresistible desire
Shiva agreed for lady’s make up and attire.
She asked Shiva for a dip in Mansarovar
After dip He was in woman’s make over
In perfect woman’s dress so well veiled
In corner in Krishana consciousness sailed.
When the cosmic dance began
There were two great dance men
One, the Beloved of the Dance
Other, the King of dance in trance.
With every Gopi Krishana danced
Shiva in unique dance entranced
Inspite of the elegance of the dance
Krishana had some missing glance.
Out of the dance he had a pause
He said, “I feel violation of laws.”
He felt in the dance a missing bliss
He said, “Here another man exists.”
He said, “Lalita, go and check
If a man attired as Gopi on deck! ”
Lalita went round lifting the veils
But finding a man there she failed.
Puzzled about a Gopi three eyed
Lalita told what her surprised! ! !
Krishana said, “Bring her here.”
When saw Shiva had hearty cheer.
He said, “O Gopeshwar I am pleased.
When I see you as Gopi dressed
Your desire to partake in dance fulfilled
As Gate Keeper of the dance now you drill.
Upon you I shower my Grace
You will Gopis’ obeisance trace
They in turn my piety embrace.”
Still Shiva in Braj has Gopi face.
Then again the dance advanced
Gopis were in bliss and trance
Krishana with every Gopi in dance
That their dance in divine romance.
All base passions in the dance purge
All the Gopis in Krishana merged
Cosmos in the dance submerged
Cupid’s wings there didn’t splurge.
In Brij land since then till date
In Krishana consciousness they wait.

Sonnet 6: Then let not winter's ragged hand deface
Then let not winter's ragged hand deface
In thee thy summer ere thou be distilled.
Make sweet some vial; treasure thou some place
With beauty's treasure ere it be self-killed.
That use is not forbidden usury
Which happies those that pay the willing loan;
That's for thyself to breed another thee,
Or ten times happier, be it ten for one,
Ten times thy self were happier than thou art,
If ten of thine ten times refigured thee;
Then what could death do, if thou shouldst depart,
Leaving thee living in posterity?
Be not self-willed, for thou art much too fair
To be death's conquest and make worms thine heir.

Hymn of Praise
Encompassed by the psalm of hill and stream,
By hymns august with their majestic theme,
Here in the evening of exalted days
To Thee, our Friend, we bow with breath of praise.
The great, sublime hosannas of the sea
Ascend on wings of mighty winds to Thee,
And mingled with their stately words are tones
Of human love, O Lord of all the zones!
Ah! at the close of many splendid hours,
While falls Thy gracious light in radiant showers,
We seek Thy face, we praise Thee, bless Thee, sing
This song of reverence, Master, Maker, King!
To Thee, from whom all shining blessings flow,
All gifts of lustre, all the joys we know,
To Thee, O Father, in this lordly space,
The great world turns with worship in its face.
For that glad season which will pass to-day
With light and music like a psalm away,
The gathered nations with a grand accord,
In sight of Thy high heaven, thank Thee, Lord!
All praise is Thine - all love that we can give
Is also Thine, in whose large grace we live,
In whom we find the ~One~ long-suffering Friend,
Whose immemorial mercy has no end.

Face To Face
Day after day, O lord of my life,
shall I stand before thee face to face.
With folded hands, O lord of all worlds,
shall I stand before thee face to face.
Under thy great sky in solitude and silence,
with humble heart shall I stand before thee face to face.
In this laborious world of thine, tumultuous with toil
and with struggle, among hurrying crowds
shall I stand before thee face to face.
And when my work shall be done in this world,
O King of kings, alone and speechless
shall I stand before thee face to face.

Sonnet: The Holy Cross
O, Let me carry Thine Cross in some way!
Though weary yet, O Let me help Thee, Lord;
O, Let me share the weight of sins, I pray;
And let me show the world, Love’s Cross and word.
Thine Cross is life to sinners world-over;
Thine Cross is Light to ones blinded sans faith;
I want to live God as Thine Cross-lover!
To follow Thee, my Lord, if Thou sayeth.
O how, I wish my soles could tread Thine path;
O how, I wish my shoulders bear Thine weight!
O Let my soul be cleansed by Thine blood-bath!
Usher me Lord, before it could grow late!
O Let me Lord, prevent Thee from one fall!
O answer me Lord, hasten to my call!

Sonnet: Be Grateful to God
O Let my heart be loyal to Thee Lord,
My Creator and Maker of this world!
My Omnipotent, Omniscient God,
The mystery of mysteries unheard!
How can I ever repay Thy love, God?
Unfathomable love that made my soul!
And everything goes by Thy grace and Thine word,
In Heaven and on earth, from pole to pole.
No matter how the devil’s tempt me Lord,
Despite the many times, their prey I fall,
My soul get’s healed by Thy grace and Thine word,
And listens thereafter to Thine one call.
So, let my soul forever thank Thee, Lord,
Thou art my Savior, Friend and only God.

Saint Nicholas of Cusa on the Face of God
In thy dear image and thy likeness, Lord,
are we as human made, your servant tells;
how then to know ourselves, in this new sight,
and where to look, to see our godly selves?
For I believe all nature is thy face -
thy natural, thy Absolute, true light;
and art, too, is thy face - by thy art seen;
and knowing - of all that which may be known;
and thus the man who sees thee face to face
may see all things, and know all things; have - All:
but - how to see thee? How to pray, to ask?
And ask for what, since thou art All in All?
How to pray thou giv'st thyself to me?
'Be thine own self, and I will be in thee...'

Upon my Son Samuel his goeing for England, Novem. 6, 1657.
Thou mighty God of Sea and Land,
I here resigne into thy hand
The Son of Prayers, of vowes, of teares,
The child I stay'd for many yeares.
Thou heard'st me then, and gav'st him me;
Hear me again, I giue him Thee.
He's mine, but more, O Lord, thine own,
For sure thy Grace on him is shown.
No freind I haue like Thee to trust,
For mortall helpes are brittle Dvst.
Preserve, O Lord, from stormes and wrack,
Protect him there, and bring him back;
And if thou shalt spare me a space,
That I again may see his face,
Then shall I celebrate thy Praise,
And Blesse the for't even all my Dayes.
If otherwise I goe to Rest,
Thy Will bee done, for that is best;
Perswade my heart I shall him see
For ever happefy'd with Thee.

The Scottish Dance
I once had myself a Scottish Lassie
She then became my joy and pride
Then one-night she gave me Scottish ale
Then she became my Scottish bride
~We then danced around the table
We danced across the floor
We danced and danced all night long
And then we drank a little more~
She enjoyed to go out clubbing
Her family and mates I would meet
She was so exciting and loving
And when I grabbed her she said I was cheek...
I once had myself a Scottish Lassie
She was also my Scottish bride
She fed me Scottish eggs and Haggis
I got so sick I thought I had nearly died.
~So we danced around the table
We danced across the floor
We danced and danced all night long
And then we ate a little more.~
She took me out dancing
Where I would meet her friends and mates
She would drink and dance all night long
How I wished to go back to the states...
I once had myself a Scottish Lassie
She was also my Scottish wife
She told me she loved me with all of her heart
And together we would share the same life.
~So we danced around the table
We danced across the floor
We danced and danced all night long
And then we loved a little more~
I would take her out drinking
Every Friday and Saturday night
One thing she loved more than drinking or singing
My lassie she loved to argue and fight...
I once had myself a Scottish Lassie
But that was many years ago
I will always remember my Scottish Lassie
And the places that we use to go
~We would dance around the table
We would dance across the floor
We would dance and dance all night long
And then we would dance a little more~
Now I am alone and single
But her memories and thoughts I do keep
I remember the good-times and not the bad
So now I smile and I never weep
~So I dance around the table
I dance across the floor
I dance and dance all night long
And then I drink and dance a little more~

In Thee I Trust
Thee has created me with love,
To love.
Thou has forgiven my sins
As vast as the ocean
My only true love
In Thee I depend
For waking each morn’
My daily sustanance
To Thee I pray
Ever so humble and thankful
For my every blessing received
I kneel to Thee
Thee sent Rumi in my dreams
To show me the way
The narrow ledge I am to cross
He showed me how
Swifty without fear
Of what lies below
He showed me how to fly inThine Mercy
And truly “yaqeen” in Thee
My beloved creator
Who knows the depth of my heart
To Thee
I leave all my affairs
My every thought,
Am consumed by Thee
My heart echoes Thy name
My life in Thine hands
In Thee lies my destiny
To Thee I yearn to return
Pure of heart and soul...

Hymn XXVII: Saviour, the World's and Mine
Saviour, the world's and mine,
Was ever grief like thine!
Thou my pain, my curse hast took,
All my sins were laid on thee;
Help me, Lord; to thee I look,
Draw me, Saviour, after thee.
'Tis done! my God hath died;
My Love is crucified!
Break, this stony heart of mine;
Pour, mine eyes, a ceaseless flood;
Feel, my soul, the pangs divine;
Catch, my heart, the issuing blood!
When, O my God, shall I
For thee submit to die?
How the mighty debt repay?
Rival of thy passion prove?
Lead me in thyself, the Way;
Melt my hardness into love.
To love is all my wish,
I only live for this;
Grant me, Lord, my heart's desire,
There by faith for ever dwell;
This I always will require,
Thee, and only thee, to feel.
Thy power I pant to prove,
Rooted and fixed in love;
Strengthened by thy Spirit's might,
Wise to fathom things divine,
What the length, and breadth, and height,
What the depth of love like thine.
Ah! give me this to know,
With all thy saints below;
Swells my soul to compass thee,
Gasps in thee to live and move;
Filled with all the Deity,
All immersed and lost in love!

A Thanksgiving Prayer to God
Almighty God, to Thee I pray,
And thank Thee for all things this day,
I had received in ample way;
Let glory be to Thee, Aye! Aye!
I am a human being mere;
I sin often and always err;
Forgive me Lord, my God, I plead,
A better life, may I still lead.
This day is almost over, Lord!
I’m sorry if I broke accord;
Without Thine mercy, love O God,
My life gets thrown into discord.
My every want, Thou providest;
My praises, thanks, I offer best;
Ignore my iniquities Lord;
Afill my heart, mind with Thine word.
O let my lips utter good words,
And let my tongue not turn like swords,
And let me labor for Thine sake,
And dispel ignorance and ache.
The good I did all came from Thee
The bad surfaced from within me;
O help me do my duty well,
And always toll the success bell!
O fill this vessel, Lord, I pray,
With gifts that I can share today,
With downtrodden brethren around,
And men and women, poor, unsound.
O bless my solitude always;
Let devils not invade my days;
So bless my deeds and mundane ways,
Miraculously most, in case.
O take away my pride, O Lord;
I long to live in Thine accord;
Rescue me from each temptation
That takes me nearer Damnation.
Provide me Lord, with Thine insight;
Thou art my only way, truth, light;
Let love for Thee burn always bright,
From dawn till dusk, and through the night.
My fallacies are not just mine;
O keep me off women and wine;
This bread will do; my health is fine;
My soul with grace must always shine.
O Lord, now bless this bread I eat;
And keep my body, heart, soul, neat,
And walking in heavenly grace,
With wisdom, piety-filled face.

This Dance So Prestions To Me
you talk, you think, you try to comprehend
yet you don’t understand
the beauty of them all
they dance around the
beautiful light
so organized around the light
if they shall end
we end the dance so preiouse to me
but this dance hope not to end
not to end to soon
I love one especially
so important
I see thee every night
I watch as you dance your
dance brings you to the full eye
and takes you away
I hope you guide me to my future
I wish I could meet thee
some day I will
just don’t let your dance
take thee away from me
I can’t see thee
no more
I shall cry
for an eternity of tears
but do know we shall
not leave me in my time of need
I live I breath for you
my beauty
no other reason but you
you’ve helped me in the past
unknowingly
and you shall help me
here and now
as the path ahead
is so long and narrow
you will light the path of
uncertainty with
hills and mountains
with trenches as deep as the sea
I love thee
I worship thee I honor thees rules

To The Lord
Concerned or cornered? o'Lord Thyself decide
Speaking out from the fraternity of disabled
To ally with Thy bliss desired
Figured out Thy model noble
On paper, wood, stone..a sacred ideal
A celestial idol the disabled forged
O'Lord impaired did Thee too descend
Law of nature? If true
Even Thee impaired have we to accrue?
A multitude of creatures
A mundane bulk of pride and prejudice
Disrespecting us in Thou mighty sphere
Concerned or cornered we here?
Virtuous or impaired Thee there?
Thy omnipotence biased? Benighted here hilighted there?
O'Lord empathize.Grant Thou benevolent showers
Imbue with us, with our silenced limbs
Assay our struggle Thyself then decide
These mortals to be cornered?
