Reflections-3
1 Sand
Ages and yores sprayed
Glint of God gleaming in grains
Vast spread varied hues
2 Shore
Restless Rani rues
Set ashore her way his heart
Silicon Raja
3 Salt
Preservative His
To save and savour this mud
His taste of our hearts
4 Surf
Sea-shore sport endless
A draw-game, no win or loose
Breaking the game Surf

Myself a Sea-gull
I threw the net in the ocean of experience, on the bank of life.
The net is but my poetry;
I sat on the chill soft sand.
Contemplating i sat on the shore of life.
I cast the net, yonder i see the waves of the sea appearing like the waving green fields.
And the foam and surf of the sea
Resembling the grains at the top, in the fields of ocean's coast.
The sea-field has the eternal harvest ready with the surf grains.
To be reaped by the sea-gulls flying like the silver-sickles
I will also love the sea of life let me become a sea-gull
Wading and flying through- singing the song of the surging sea of life;

Behold The Sea
Behold the sea, the mighty restless sea!
Behold the strand of battered rock and sand!
The endless fight between the sea and man!
Behold the sea!
Through wind and storm the foaming breakers roar
What of the man who waits upon the shore?
What of the man you hold forevermore?
Behold the sea!
Rolling along in the starlight
Restless, plentiful and strong
Rolling along in the moonlight
Surf and spray shining in the sun
Behold the sea, the mighty restless sea!
Behold the strand of battered rock and sand!
The endless fight between the sea and man!
Behold the sea!

I was checkin' on the surfin' scene
To see if i would go
And when the dj tells me that the surfin' is fine
That's when i know my baby and i will have a good time
Surfin' is the only life
The only way for me.
Now surf, surf (surfin') with me
From the early morning to the middle of the night
Any time the surf is up the time is right
And when the surf is down and things get lazy
We'll do the surfer's stomp that's when the surfers go crazy
Surfin' is the only life
The only way for me.
Now surf, surf (surfin') with me
Now the dawn is breaking and we really gotta go
But we'll be back here very soon that you better know
You know my surfer knots are rising and my board is losing wax
(yeah yeah hey now)
But that won't stop me baby cause you know i'm coming back
Surfin' is the only life
The only way for me.

A Dream Within A Dream
Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow-
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.
I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand-
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep- while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

Grey Rocks, and Greyer Sea
Grey rocks, and greyer sea,
And surf along the shore --
And in my heart a name
My lips shall speak no more.
The high and lonely hills
Endure the darkening year --
And in my heart endure
A memory and a tear.
Across the tide a sail
That tosses, and is gone --
And in my heart the kiss
That longing dreams upon.
Grey rocks, and greyer sea,
And surf along the shore --
And in my heart the face
That I shall see no more.

The Surf Talks
Oooh I love you
Giggle giggle
The surf talks
Do you love me too?
If the surf could talk, I know shed ask
Do you think youre equal to the task?
If the surf could talk, shed say
Beware I love you
So Id answer very carefully
And Id ask if shed be there for me
And the surf says always
Beware I love you
The surf says I want you like you want me
Am I in you? are you in me?
Tell me
The surf talks
And it knows what to say
The surf talks
I must learn to obey
The gun cocks, the clock stops, the earth rocks, the surf talks
The surf talks
Puts its tongue on my skin
The surf talks
While its sucking me in
The door locks and unlocks, the veil drops, the surf talks
She has promised me a beach of pearls
And an endless wave, a perfect curl
And she tells me always
Beware I love you
She will place the world inside my hand
She will touch the soul of every man
She will take my message
Im here to love you
The surf says I want you here inside me
Am I in you? are you in me?
Tell me
We are standing on a beach of pearls
We are riding deep inside the curl
And everybody all around the world
Must surrender when your flag unfurls
We are standing on a beach of pearls
We are riding deep inside the curl
And everybody all around the world
Will be dancing in the sea.

Sunrise
When the sun comes up on the Eastern shore
and the sky becomes bright pink
I'm in awe and then I think
the luckiest person am I.
It's like a painted picture was brushed
by the hand of God at sea.
For a minute or two all's right with the world
for I feel sweet peace in me
as I see the colors on high.
Lost in the moment of incredible delight
and with my rod and reel in hand,
I forget about the waves near my feet
or the graininess of the sand
and the seagulls that I see fly.
This is the morning scene that's there
for the fishermen on the surf.
He breathes it in and fishes again,
comfortable with this surf
and the overhead colorful sky.

The Water's Edge
Wet salt sand, water’s edge
Rushing sound of surf and rolling sea.
As if each wave were a deep deep breath
And the surt but a gentle exhalation
The breeze light over the ocean arriving from who knows where
With messages of calm.
The sun playing games with the fragile whisps of clouds
Hide and seek, catch me if you can games
And the smells and the scents and fragrances
Telling of the world beyond and along and backing onto that shore line.
Messages not in a bottle but of the world
The world of the gentle and the strong
Of the motionless and the moving
Where a simple line marks out clear
What is far and what is near.
Gazing out to sea
Just me
And the shore
And the water’s edge
And the sun
And the breeze
And the swirl of senses
That chase clouds and roll and rush and whisper
At that wet salt sand water’s edge
This all comes to me.

The Sea Loving People
The true sea loving people never live far from the sea
They pine if the ocean they can't hear or see
The feel of the sea spray where the wild breakers roar
Where huge waves pound the stony cliffs overlooking the shore.
They can only live near to where the surf waves roll
And to them the breath of the sea air is good for the soul
In towns by the ocean they grow old and gray
From salt-water they could not live far away.
The sea loving people enjoy the coastal sunshine
Inland from the ocean they surely would pine
To live two miles from the ocean for them does seem far
Though in distance that only a short drive by car.
The sea loving people love the rumble of the big surf waves
In cemetery close to the cliffs are their ancestors graves
They would pine if they could not hear the sea breakers roar
They only could live in towns near the Sea-shore.

Stranger On The Shore
You stand near the sand dunes,
a stranger on the shore.
You stand there in black,
colours widows wore,
staring out at the restless sea,
knowing he will come back never more.
Everyday I see you there
as I walk along the shore.
Oh restless spirit, he is at peace now,
in the cradle of the deep.
His soul is in heaven waiting for you,
yet you are still restless,
as your time has passed.
You can go to the light now.
Your weeping should end.
Go find your peace in heaven evermore,
no longer be a stranger on the shore

Facebooking...
in times of doubt and
hiding where times get harsh and
when you are feeling so foolish
betrayed once twice thrice and
patience says think seventyseventimesseven
before you take action, think and reflect and ponder
and be calm and be sober and do not say it is over,
you know where to hide and forget the real world.
surf, surf, surf out anything
have more time with pictures, and shallow hi's and hello's
lots of lols and omgods

Men, the waves
The sea waves meet the shore.
The waves ebb; the shore stays ashore.
He, the wave, meets her, the shore.
The waves carry the carcass of the tryst.
The shore buries the debris of the tryst.
Man sticks to the past, woman to the future.

Spirit of Love - The Little Crustacean
transparent, white
but the lines distinct
the little crustacean
the little prawn
so little it touches
the softest spot of my heart
throw it back
throw it back
the world screams to me
in each successive wave
the breeze soothes
my ruffled feeling
halcyon day
everything peaceful, calm
the little prawn
waves to me
as i take a look
at it again
wanting to be my friend?
its life and death
in my hand
in my hold
i let it lose
into the vast sea
this time feeling myself
tiny as it is
in this wheel of life
trillion, zillion
like the lines
of the shimmering waves
buddha sits in infinity
teaches about the hereafter
each of us in this realm
taking turns to be each other
the good, the bad and the ugly
the role cast by love and hate in the hearts
the wave heralds my spirit of love
as the little prawn swims free
out of my sight
the wind carresses my face
the waves gently lap onto my hands and off
the ebb and tide of life
i know too that someday
somewhere, somebody would
let me lose too from predicardments,
tribulations

Lovers On A Beach
Written by ricky & marty wilde
Lovers on a beach
Lovers on a beach
Two naked hands lay on the sand
When all the world was out of reach
Through the shuttered doors
The music filtered through
Playing on a theme that couldnt run
Lovers on a shore
Lovers on a shore
The heavy wine of broken time
But now theyre gone its nothing more
Looking back on days
When summer seemed so long
Now theres only winter nights to come
And oh - sometimes shes missing you
She hears the shore
She feels it more
And out there the waves are breaking
Back here her heart is aching
Lovers on a beach
Lovers on a beach
Two silhouettes were on a shore
But now theyre lost and out of reach
Now on lonely roads
The flashbacks lead to you
Like a faded photograph in time
Oh lovers (lovers, lovers, lovers, lovers...)
And oh just as shes missing you
She hears the shore
She feels it more
And out there the waves are breaking
Back here her heart is aching
Lovers on a beach
Lovers on a beach
Two naked hands theyre on the sand
When all the world was out of reach
Lovers on a beach
Lovers on a beach
Lovers
Lovers
Lovers on a beach
Lovers

Sandpiper (Cavatina)
(after Elizabeth Bishop)
The leaping spray that roar, the swishing fling
of surf and sand,
plays in and out as waves rush to and thro;
where it does stand
while searching for something on tiny legs;
it understands
the roaring toss, a world of surf and foam,
while rushing on the wet beach it does roam.

Lovers By The Sea
Sometimes only the sea makes sense to me
All the morose of the world dissipates
Waves and tide seem so divine
Salt air and old fishing boats
Fog horns and clam shells
Constant change and all the kelp
Endless horizon and winding shore
Sunlight or moonlight the sea is mystery
I am losing contact with the world
With the selfish swirl
The money game
The quest for power
The affront and masquerade
But the sea has never waned
Seagulls still fascinate me
Like a poem I can't forget
The sea still makes sense to me
No names, position, no games
By the sea I feel a freedom
Like there is still away back home
Tonight the lighthouse is on
Thank you Lord for the sea
She walks like a dream on the shore
Lovers by the sea are pure beauty

I Love The Ocean
A magic potion
Stirred up by God.
The restless waves above
The best he saves for love
In blue moonbeams.
Below, Aladdins caves.
Great ships
Sleeping in their graves.
While unknown colours
Strangely gleam
Like in a mariners wildest dream.
The smell of the spray
On lonely shore.
Where, together we lay
Locked in the aftermath
To adore
A heaven in rhythm
With our sweet motion.
And as we kiss in the surf
Oh, I just love
The ocean.

Sunset
Yellows and oranges drench the sky
Like a leak, a spill from the sun.
A molten flood scatters across
The sea's surface and I'm undone,
Unraveling beside the shore.
The past flashes before my eyes;
I'm buried beneath the gritty coast
While waiting for the tide to dry.
Cover me in the shade and surf
Of an island isolated:
Lost underneath the deep, blue sheets
That solitude has created.
I'm relaxing, but I'm restless.
I'm castaway. I can't see why.
The only thing I can see is
Yellow and orange drenching the sky.

He Miss The Old Town
He miss the old town by the ocean and he misses the smell of the sea
And in his moments of nostalgia in fancy he hear and see
The silver gulls above the wide beach in small flocks they call as they fly
And the soft pipings of the sooty oystercatchers echo in the clear morning sky.
He was a young man of the sixties and young men they age and grow old
All year round he rode the big surf waves in a wet suit to keep out the cold
Till he wandered far from the ocean fell in love, married and settled down
An ageing dad with teenage daughters he lives in a big inland Town.
He is out of practice for surfing and he lives far from the ocean shore
A champion young surfer of the sixties perhaps he will surf never more
You can take the man from the ocean but the ocean does not leave the man
Though far from the roar of the surf waves he well may live out his time span.
He miss the old town by the ocean though he now might feel a stranger there
A champion young surfer of the late sixties till lust for wander it took him to elsehwere
in his imaginings he rides the big waves and on his face the ocean spray
And at heart he is a coastal person though from there he lives far away.
