Prose Poetics-2

Imagine a blossom
In breeze fresh
Slithering in joy..
Such I feel
When no smokers
Or beggars I find
Along the streets I go
But
A hanging shoppy newspaper
Reads about political
Scandals and scams
Fresh and firing
Blossom atonce dead

I Be Or Don't Be (A Song)

I be or don’t be
Would be spreading whiff
As a blossom, As a bud
In the orchard of love
I be or don‘t be

Whatever the weather
I always will be there
To keep the orchard fresh
And in colour of desire
Will be watering it ever
As a blossom as a bud
The orchard of love
I be or don’t be

I will unfurl my shirt
And sway in the breeze
Will glow like flower
On the blossom trees
Would spread fragrance
As a blossom as a bud
In the garden of love
I be or don’t be

When I won’t be there
Her eyes with tears
Would be finding me
She would stop in reverie
Where I will meet her
As a blossom, as a bud
In the orchard of love
I be or don’t be

Beggars Farm

Youre taking chances. and your reputations going down.
Going out in the night-time. you think you make no sound.
But you dont fool me. 'cos I know what you feel.
If you ignore the things I say --
Someday soons gonna find you
'way down on beggars farm.
I pay my money for no returns.
I think I need you. going to find someone.
Oh, you dont fool me. 'cos I know what you feel.
When you go out I ask you why.
And I wont worry when I see you lying
Down on beggars farm.
When you run to me, going to turn away.
Wont even listen when you try to say
That you were only fooling around --
'cos I know what you feel.
But if you ask me nicely, woman --
Ill wake up early one day soon and
Ill visit you down on beggars farm.

City Of Beggars

The sky is always blue in the city of beggars
There is not much green in the city of beggars
There are buildings being built so fast in the city of beggars
In every corner that you encounter
The city of beggars are growing so fast
And in the city of beggars lives 30 million people
The air is not that good in the city of beggars
Because of the factories and the cars
The city of beggars never sleep
The noise goes on 24 hours a day
It is not safe to walk in the street of beggars
Because you can get robbed and killed at any time of the night or day
The traffic is chaotic in the city of beggars
Thanks God there is no snow in the city of beggars

Imagine

Imagine information in the palm of your hand.
Imagine the knowledge of a library at your command.
Imagine all books written just a touch away.
Imagine all media at your finger tip each day.
Imagine a device that causes a mental revolution.
Imagine how it calculates with instant execution.

Imagine a discovery rivaling all human means.
Imagine its place in the mapping of genes.
Imagine where this miracle will take mankind.
Imagine unimaginables there still are to find.
Imagine love ruling the world some day.
Imagine how mankind could then find its lost way.

Early Works - No Smoking Zone

Shucks cannot have a puff
of the dreaded weed
the non-smokers have been at it again
sticking posters on the walls.
What a waste!
You cannot smoke
but they can litter the walls.
Now imagine the poor graffiti writer
who is punished for his joy,
but the non-coughers
can deface any wall
without a protest to be heard.
That was until now.
Smokers of the world unite
and stop these stickers
from ruining our walls.

I think we're at a time in American history that's probably analogous to, maybe, Rome before the first emperors, when the Republic started to fall … I think if you look at the pattern of events, if you look at the disputed election of 2000, can you imagine? In America, people are trying to recount ballots and a partisan mob is pounding on the glass and threatening the counters? Can you imagine that? Can you imagine a political party which does its best to keep any representatives from another party — who've even been affiliated with another party — from getting a business job in the nation's capital? Can you imagine a political party that wants to redistrict so that its
opponents can be driven out entirely? … it's a different time in America and the Republic is — this election is about a lot more than jobs. I'm not sure everybody in America sees it right now. But I see it, I feel it.

Imagine the world ……………………….
Imagine the world without wars…
Imagine the world without your laws
Imagine your life without fear
Imagine your eyes without a tear
Imagine all men were real men
Imagine…imagine…imagine…
Imagine life without hate
Imagine you knew your own fate
Imagine all children were happy
Imagine all nations were free
What would life be like?
Imagine no-one were blind
Imagine all the woes behind
Imagine…….imagine……..imagine….
Imagi ne earth were flat
Imagine man without a heart
Imagine the day without light
Imagine the dark without the night
Imagine……….imagine……imagine……
Imagine faces without a smile
Imagine birds without a nightingale

Theme From The City Of Beggars

Free the beggars from poverty today
Free the beggars from the slam today
Free the beggars from slave labour
Give the beggars some hope today
Put a smile on the beggars face
The beggars are starving today
So go ahead and feed the beggars some bread and water
Because that is better than nothing
Give the beggars the same right
That the rich got

Without Pocket

Hungry of filling pockets
By doing the acts funny;
Doing scams and scandals
For earning black money.

Lastly will leave here
Even the cash box strongest,
Final cloth will have no colours
As well as have no pocket.

Imagine

(spoken) oohh yeah...dark child...shola ama

imagine if i told you that i want you
and imagine if it all came true
tell me what would you do with me
would you tell me that you feel the same
imagine if i told you that i need you
would you say baby i need you too
no matter what you do i know
that you should be in love with me

sometimes i find myself locked in two
secret thoughts hoping they'd come true
sometimes at night i'd feel you lying next to me baby
but these are things that i could never tell you
i can't imagine what you would do
after all you are so far away from me...from me

sometimes it feels just like a fantasy
and i don't know what to do
coz it's always been like a dream to me
to find a love to true
but i know it's only make believe
when i'm picturing me and you
oh one day i know that you'll be
the one that makes my dreams come true

imagine if i told you that i want you
and imagine if it all came true
tell me what would you do with me
would you tell me that you feel the same
imagine if i told you that i need you
would you say baby i need you too
no matter what you do i know
that you should be in love with me

there's a feeling so deep inside
telling me we are meant to me
praying that some day you will come for me...for me
but til then i'm just daydreaming
thinking about the way things could be
but it don't matter
coz you're still so far from me...baby

sometimes it feels just like a fantasy
and i don't know what to do
coz it's always been like a dream to me
to find a love to true
but i know it's only make believe
when i'm picturing me and you
oh one day i know that you'll be
the one that makes my dreams come true

imagine if i told you that i want you
and imagine if it all came true
tell me what would you do with me
would you tell me that you feel the same
imagine if i told you that i need you
would you say baby i need you too
no matter what you do i know
that you should be in love with me

how can you..be so far from me
how can i...be loving you endlessly
how can we...be so far out of reach
just not the way the way i hoped it would be

imagine if i told you that i want you
and imagine if it all came true
tell me what would you do with me
would you tell me that you feel the same
imagine if i told you that i need you
would you say baby i need you too
no matter what you do i know
that you should be in love with me

Beggars Day

If this is heaven, then Im in hell
If trust is misfortune, then wish me well
While I think of sadness baby
Your light shines through, your light shines through
Your light shines through
Chorus:
Because its beggars day
Because its beggars day
Because its beggars day
Ive lost control of my darker side
A world all for free, on a nastier ride
*and I have crossed myself in anger
All your mercy cant save me, all your mercy cant save me
All your mercy cant save me
Because its beggars day
Because its beggars day
Because its beggars day
Lead:
Its beggars day
You know its beggars day
Because its beggars day
See this love, Ive stored for you
Wheel it and deal it, but our feelins are true
Repeat *

The teaser

So you are alone?
What now, what about your being alone?

You write a poem about it?
Let me see and read it.

(reads like reading an
electric bill for January)

there is nothing here,
everyone feels like you do

except that you write about
it, and you call yourself a poet,

I don’t think it will make a difference
Do you drink san mig beer?

Do you smoke 2 packs of Marlboro
A day? You don’t? Why not try it?

Let me see your choice of words,

(reads the poem again)

There is nothing in here that

Makes you different from the rest
Of us, smokers and drinkers and

Gamblers. What makes you think
You are not like us? Huh?

(crumples the paper where the
poem is written and leaves,

he picks it up and smoothens it
folds it like his blanket and slides
it in his pocket like a paycheck)

Vicious Streak

What am I gonna do
I feel like Im on fire
If you only knew
That youre the object of desire
I keep hanging on, keep hanging on
And I swear by God that youre the only one
I keep hanging on, keep hanging on
And I swear by God that it wont be long
My aim is true
My vision is clear
My thoughts are crude
Whenever youre near
I keep hanging on, keep hanging on
And I swear by God that youre the only one
I keep hanging on, keep hanging on
And I swear by God that it wont be long
I keep hanging on
Youve got a vicious streak
For someone so young
Youre like solar flair
In the rising sun
I keep hanging on
I keep hanging on
I keep hanging on
I keep hanging on

Fresh Spring Breeze

Fresh spring breeze
sweeps me beneath my feet
step outside
smell the fresh air
hmmmmmm ahhhhhhhh
fresh
such a beautiful scent
how could spring be better than this?
sit in the grass
look at the clouds
grab a sunflower
hmmmmmm ahhhhhhh
fresh spring breeze

Just Imagine...............

Some of us look at the present state of this world
And wish things could be different
We imagine the way the world should be
We visualize and hypothesize - it is possible

Imagine the whole world speaking one language
Then, there will be no need for translators
Everybody will understand each other
no matter where they live on planet earth
One language will reduce racial discrimination
and facilitate movements across national borders

Just imagine the entire world using one currency
The need to convert dollars into yen will vanish
or ask – how many euros equals one renminbi
or wonder how many pesos equals one rupee
and speculate how many rands equal one riyal
All the folks in foreign exchange departments
will do something else in the financial market
apart from tracking the rise and fall of
money markets and its influence on stock markets

Just imagine the super rich taking more care
of the poor, the needy, and the unemployed
Then, the homeless will disappear from our roads
The beggars will vanish from our streets
An egalitarian society will be in the making

Just imagine free education at all levels
Then, everybody will be able to develop their
talents and natural endowments to the maximum
Scholars will not be burdened with heavy
student loans for the rest of their lives
They will think of better ways to improve the
society rather than think how to pay back loans

Do you feel all the above imaginations are mere dreams?
Who knows tomorrow! Some dreams have turned into reality
in our life-time. Please stay happy and be optimistic.
