Devi Kamakshi
Ramping ahead the span of life
Clutching the rope of desires rife
Respite do we for Truth the Reality
Despite the rest on morbidity, mortality
Respite do we for the pain-cause
Despite the transient pleasure of flaws
Respite do we for the causer who
Despite the haunting 'I ' much we woo
Appetence strifeful, frail the rope
Appetence strifeful, frail the hope
Admire do we still a life dire
Aspire don't we, a saviour higher
Yell out O'God to guard
Squall out to safeguard
Thence descends the Red Goddess to rescue
Irradiates life to reformed hue
A persona of peace glowing red
Erstwhile Bala, Tripurasundari, Lalitha greeted
Personified cosmos gracefully righteous
Aesthetic glory of the unending space
O'Her merciful eyes on Her pristine face
Like rollicking fish of Manasarovar Kailas
Kamakshi of Srichakra, its quadrilaterals
Kamakshi of macro-micro-cosmic plexus
Kamakshi now to destroy mayic desires
Kamakshi now to bestow virtuous wishes
Kamakshi aureate guiding us golden
Kamakshi ornate of wisdom, we're much beholden

Devi Maari(Sheetala)
'Who art Thou? '..bang away
Their inventing mind
At Thou sprout of genesis
To mean Bala Thou nascence
To mean Lalitha Thee damsel
To mean Thripurasundari
Thou celestial queenship
To mean Kamakshi
Thee saver from desirous lust...
They're highbrowed, scholastic
White in Thou shade of colours
Devi
In the souls of the innocents
Myriad colours of feastful fest
Thou art a showery Mother Maari
Rurality greets Thee in colours
Of stones and trees and myths
Be Vasuki or Renuka or Draupathi or Kannaki
Thou art Maariamma, Mother of mercy
Unlettered they are
Yet aware of their entangled desires
Aspire to be unknotted of woes
Select mindful colours
Of land-life-etheric shades
Of Thou assuasive mercy showers
To mean priorly Veppilai Nayaki
Thou advertent curative power
To purulent pustule pocking life
To mean Kaumaari and Karumaari
Ponmaari and pachaimaari and Muthumaari
Thou valour to vanquish evil
Thou nature to boom ever fertile
To mean Poomaari and Sandhanamaari
Thou bestowment aromatic, redolent
To mean Kottai maari and yerikkarai maari
Thou presence ubiquitious all over
To mean Mahamaari and Mahamaayi
Thou adjudgment of Thyself in summation
Pervasive in alignment of iridiscent shadiness
The transient beings for us to surrender
In Thine grace drowned we are

A Bloom of Poesy to dear Kamakshi
Respected, dear Madam KAMAKSHI,
This day as you voluntarily retire
From our esteemed Coach Factory,
As an officer from a coveted tier,
This ever-fresh bloom of poesy,
With heart-felt love is strung,
And is proffered very truly,
With ardent prayers sung.
A kind and affable sister,
To her colleagues here;
Her unflinching help she'd administer,
To wipe out many a tear!
With her intelligence wound,
She has crossed many a cadre;
To her duty ever bound,
She has climbed the ladder.
But from her career, bright
She has chosen to take wings;
To enjoy the wonderful twilight,
Which Life's evening brings.
Remember we will, till rest,
Is the assurance clear;
Forget-us-not is the request,
From your colleagues dear.
With fond love flowing,
From two sons—so proud;
The couple would be glowing,
With their children, beloved.
Muses' blessings to you,
To sing with a sweet voice;
Has be-got a daughter-in-law too—
A darling of a choice.
May the grand-child pin
Together your affections—all
And may you and your kin
With God's Blessings enthrall.

Walking on....
Life's hills roll on into the distance
The road flowing,
Each uphill ended by sunshine
Each valley, rest and respite -
Strength gathering for the next climb
Would the sunshine feel as warm?
The respite so sweet -
But for the hardship, it’s exhausting climb!
Yet life's path seldom allows,
Us forget the pain!
Yet joy fades however -
Brief once spent

Devi Bala Tripurasundari
Baffles an enigma of divine nought
Supreme Power so to be personified..
Reversing by legacy of powers
Along aeons before lores and legends
Unravelling the mystery of 'Who? '
Reposes the supremacy of human mind
At the feet of a divine primordiality
Glowing blossom of a genesis
Authorising Itself a linchpin
Centered within the emanation
Aligning and realigning
In the wide cosmos
The human perceiving the ultimate
As a sweet sixteen of a red Goddess
The causer of you, me, the mundane
Beyond the beyond, above the above
Acclaims
O'Bala, youthful Mother
Apprehensible Thou bliss
O'Tripurasundari, resplendent Empress
Zesty in generation, operation, destruction
Surrender, this mortal of slain lust and greed
Unto Thou inly one

Learn Ramdas, learn!
Nature is the grand school,
Even sometimes demoted to lowerclass,
Nature is that school,
Where knowledge and wisdom alone qualifies one to higher class,
Wherein a mistake is sufficient to get sent back,
See some animals, may it be a dog or a cat,
May it be a plant or tree,
All move from lower level to higher,
Every pain is a lesson,
Every helplessness leads to prayer,
Even the king of forest left alone by others at the end,
but not by the ants and flies and parasites,
Make him suffer a lot,
Get disgusted of own life,
with the very last breath,
He wish something and it gets fulfilled!
Some animals learn quick,
Yet they wish for what they don't have,
Nature fulfils its wish,
Until self learns, all wishes that are narrow and selfish lead to pain,
This learning of 'desires are cause of pain'
Continues until one becomes free of desires!
I have seen somany people saying,
'Dogs life in wealthy man's house is far better the life of helpless poor man'
Such men may destined to come as dog in some wealthy man's house,
Only to learn,
dog is only dog,
not more than that,
If one has patience,
The study of life itself shows,
Animal to man, man to animal is possible,
Till one gets free of desires,
Selfless and think beyond desires and pain.
This is not a doctrine,
It is my observations of animals and plants around me!
I never ask anyone to believe this,
When entire living world is one family,
Everything is possible,
learn Ramdas,
Learn,
Incarnation of unfulfilled desires is reincarnation of soul!
Just take as a food for thought,
Better not waste time on discussion,
Find the way out to become free of desires

A Reality, Asked To Bide, As Aspiration
I fancy not, a respite for my long-embattled heart-
Though, same would remove need for my faith to impart
Encouragement that a reward awaits me, that I may ne'er measure;
Should I seek refuge from all which I treasure,
Causation would find the contrary rendered-
As, the hope it inspires would no longer be tendered;
Cower not shall I, from that which I most ardently admire,
E'en whence consummatedbut when I aspire:
This is the very reason why time seems to have ceased-
An inglorious reality is forced, whilst a beauteous one, is fleeced.
Naught may dispel an ardor so closely guarded;
No matter of time, nor of space,
May make less-nor surely, erase-
That which hath been so blessedly imparted!

A Promise I Made Myself...
I have promised myself to keep my face
Towards the light, even if faint and pale
For it gives me, even if brief, a respite
From despair, grief—human plight…
Even when darkness and night descends
And I slowly crawl into my cold bed,
I try to think of now extinct fire flies
Alive and glowing in my mind’s eye…
Oh, pain give up, I refuse to succumb
Or hug you tight to my heaving bosom
Or wear you like a shroud or veil
I’ll rise like the Sun, for sure without fail…

I Try...
Try and Try
day & night
Try & Try
without respite
I try so hard
to be the One
I try so hard
to break this facade
All I want
is to be me
yet I yearn for
what you want me to be
What you want
may be right
But thats all it is
& without respite
I need happiness
& I need you
So try I must
without A fuss
Try & Try
night & day
Try & Try
in everyway
Though now I try harder
to be what is right
Now I try harder
with all my might
My future & happiness
is in you
My life & love
is yours too
Try & Try
all the time
Try & Try
till the end of time

The Change Has Come
THE change has come, and Helen sleeps—
Not sleeps; but wakes to greater deeps
Of wisdom, glory, truth, and light,
Than ever blessed her seeking sight,
In this low, long, lethargic night,
Worn out with strife
Which men call life.
The change has come, and who would say
'I would it were not come to-day'?
What were the respite till to-morrow?
Postponement of a certain sorrow,
From which each passing day would borrow!
Let grief be dumb,
The change has come.

Ghosts
There are ghosts in the room.
As I sit here alone, from the dark corners there
They come out of the gloom,
And they stand at my side and they lean on my chair.
There's the ghost of a Hope
That lighted my days with a fanciful glow.
In her hand is the rope
That strangled her life out. Hope was slain long ago.
But her ghost comes to-night,
With its skeleton face and expressionless eyes,
And it stands in the light,
And mocks me, and jeers me with sobs and with sighs.
There's the ghost of a Joy,
A frail, fragile thing, and I prized it too much,
And the hands that destroy
Clasped it close, and it died at the withering touch.
There's the ghost of a Love,
Born with joy, reared with hope, died in pain and unrest,
But he towers above
All the others... this ghost: yet a ghost at the best.
I am weary, and fain
Would forget all these dead: but the gibbering host
Make my struggle in vain,
In each shadowy corner there lurketh a ghost.

Christmas Star
The star that appeared in the east
To the wise men ‘magi’ made an eye feast
And to see the baby Jesus, lead them fast
As the star was different and distinguished amongst the celestial lights
So is Jesus from other righteous men, shed his blood to take the sinner to spiritual heights
In the dark nights of our hopeless life
He is the morning star who sheds light on our gloomy strife
The way, the truth and the life he is
As a moving star he leads us to peace with ease
He is the wonderful guiding star in the sky so high
Will come back to take us to father in a span of nigh
He, the shining star and beacon, appears from distance, sparkling and bright
His promise of salvation gives us hope for deliverance from the carnal plight
He assures us of everlasting joy and happiness being a star of hope
Giving us an escape by His grace from the Satan’s snare and rope
Jesus the king of kings and the star of stars
Loves us day and night with no bounds and bars

Desire
Northern star
Am I frightened
Where can I go to rest
I cant sleep
And Im still fighting
Wait, dont breathe
The time destroys a man
A child who understands
That anyone who desires
Is not my kind
Not my truth
Fade away, its all we do
Fade away from the truth
Desires
Fade away
Desires
Fade away
Desires
And northern star
Please enlighten
The lost prayers of my soul
Childhood dreams
Of death and titans
We were meant to be free
To give ourselves away
So please dont be afraid
Of anyone who desires
Theyre not my kind
Not my truth
Fade away, its all we do
Fade away from the truth
Desires
Fade away
Desires
Fade away
Desires
Fade away
Desires
cause anyone who desires
Is not my kind
I have no use for you

A Daring Hope
My pain grows and my heart sinks,
When far away in the sky a star blinks,
The star of my life is about to sink,
And when about it I impatiently think,
I grow restless with the heat of sentiments,
My vivacity departs and my soul bends,
I pray to God for being merciful,
When I go to Him with my accounts sinful,
I couldn't do my duty towards Him,
The prospects of my acquital is dim,
I live my life in earning n spending,
All my good deeds are still pending,
I have reached on the sharp turn of life,
I don't know when I will end this strife,
The world is drawing me towards it,
It seems I will not get respite a bit,
I came in this world but all alone,
My loneliness has forever gone,
I am crushed under the burden of ties,
I don't know where my destination lies,
Friends and foes are alike to me,
Both wound me with emotional glee,
I hope God will realize it in that session,
And allow me a pleasant and fair concession.

In the World of Frail-Brick Words
I diligently built a solid world of
Frail-brick-words around you
When winds of fear
Uproot me from
All possible directions
I cling to your torso
In this solid world
Of frail-brick-words
Going round and round
In the square fantasy of yours
I always miss the centre
In this solid world
Of frail-brick-words
You're always on look out
To live a fantasy; travelled against
Time to reach my solid world
Of frail-brick-words
Expecting to drench yourself
In raining silver droplets
I traversed across
Terrains unknown to you
Sipping at the venom of
Reality for vigour, investing
Every nth part with an aura
Of fantasy in the solid world
Of frail-brick-words
Midway
We met
Between you and I
The dichotomy of
Your fantasy
My reality
Opened a newer dimension
Of realantasy to grapple with
Ah, this solid world
Of frail-brick-words!
In my snatches of proximity(?)
To the threshold of your world
I sought my own happiness
My very own sorrow...
The slightly opened door
Blended excellently
The lethal reality with
Honey-oozing fantasy
To brew a magic potion
To savour in my solitude
In this solid world
Of frail-brick-words
Every touch of your fingers
Hoisted flags of unexpressed sorrow
That rustled in every other life
Whoever said,
Life and living is
A cuppa one relaxes with?
You know
Those lucky, get a door
Opened to live a fantasy, at least
For a wink and there just in that
Fleeting moment of time
You traveled against time to grab
And encase yourself in a dropp of silver
Within the coarsely granulated
World of my frail-brick-words
In this solid world
Of frail-brick-words
The gush of words
You released on my wrinkling skin
Arrange themselves time and again
As what the world calls poetry
The words flip flap against
My make-believe-sky
And in the solid tomb where
I rest forever irrespective of seasons
Where pain or pleasure
Can no longer touch me
Ah, my very own solid world
Of frail-brick-words...

Illusion and ignorance
To mistake a rope for a snake
Or to mistake a snake for a rope
Is illusion in perception.
To take a rope for rope and
A snake for snake is knowledge.
To take a rope not for a rope
And a snake not for a snake
Is ignorance. We employ
All the three at variant times
At different degrees in life.

Psalm 39 part 2
v.4-7
C. M.
The vanity of man as mortal.
Teach me the measure of my days,
Thou Maker of my frame;
I would survey life's narrow space,
And learn how frail I am.
A span is all that we can boast,
An inch or two of time;
Man is but vanity and dust
In all his flower and prime.
See the vain race of mortals move
Like shadows o'er the plain;
They rage and strive, desire and love,
But all the noise is vain.
Some walk in honor's gaudy show,
Some dig for golden ore;
They toil for heirs, they know not who,
And straight are seen no more.
What should I wish or wait for, then,
From creatures earth and dust?
They make our expectations vain,
And disappoint our trust.
Now I forbid my carnal hope,
My fond desires recall;
I give my mortal interest up,
And make my God my all.

Sonnet: The Book of Life
I clasped the Book of Life onto my chest!
O God, I pray to never give it up;
And as I read I know it is the best,
As God empties my Life’s most bitter-cup.
O God, Let wisdom me emancipate;
Let foolish desires not fill my mind;
O protect me from crimes, men perpetrate;
My peace of mind in Thee alone, I find.
Let fortitude afill my mind and heart,
Through which alone comes wisdom that I seek;
Let follow prudence/ temperance/ thinking-art;
A mind and heart that remains humble/ meek.
The Bible gives me all my wisdom God,
To live a virtuous life, spared from Thy rod!

Judgement Day
Who's going to judge me when I die?
No one else other than I.
For who knows better what I have done?
I can't think of anyone.
I will see my life in full reflection
and know where I have failed.
And understanding of this will help me to see
that I rue these things sorrowfully.
I will atone for all of my mistakes
and then take wing and soar.
I'll become as a new born babe again
just as I've been before.
There is no judgemental God I must face.
There is only little old me.
And I am the strict enforcer
of all that I'm striving to be.
So I'll take my rest from the trials on earth
and enjoy celestial calm.
I'll visit with angels and the Gods on high
and recite the 23rd psalm.
And after I tire of this pleasant respite
I'll ask to return once more
to face the adventures of life anew
and all that I need to explore.
