A Visit TO A Seal Colony(Villanelle)
The Villanelle is:
1.metered, primarily iambic pentameter.
2.written in a total of 19 lines, made up of 5 tercets and ending with a quatrain.
3.L1 and L3 of the first stanza, alternate as the refrain in the following tercets.
It was indeed a grand picnic event
Tho' hard by wheels in rains on long rough road
Seaward to see the seals our long intent
Up blocked cut crossed in flown spillways paths wet
Did not get back but all enjoyed pursued
It was indeed a grand picnic event
Sun light sinking so rushed and reached our spot
Oh God! we saw nature's settings-fulfilled
Seaward to see the seals our long intent
Ah, pups and moms and dads so brown so great
And seals clumping snoozing along accrued
It was indeed a grand picnic event
Furry some rocked risky some raged stepped out
When saw a seal in haste closer-fulfilled
Seaward to see the seals our long intent
Pictures, photos bagful no need to get
For those scenic great seals our hearts well stored
It was indeed a grand picnic event
Seaward to see the seals our long intent

Unprotected species
The morning mist lifts and reveals.
A scattered colony of seals
Their breeding place beside the sea
protected by the enemy.
The fishermen who used to kill
and if allowed would do so still.
They do not dare to harm a seal
the penalties are all too real
The fisher men bitterly complain
the seals are free to fish again.
Unhampered by the silly rules
complied by bureaucratic fools.
The fisherman can’t understand
why they are bound by this command.
But not the seals apparently
They just ignore bureaucracy.
Seals are creatures of the sea
and as intended they are free
But the fishermen are not
That’s why they all bewail their lot.

From Gordon’s bay harbour
From Gordon’s bay harbour
we took a boat
along the coast
of False Bay
and your fingers
knotted through mine
while we sailed
into the ocean.
The launch went up and down
the waves of a calm sea
although a light breeze
was blowing, throwing
drops of spray
into our faces.
Your cheeks were glowing
and your eyes
had the look of adventure
and anticipation
and we took several photographs
of the scenic mountains,
the beaches and shore.
We stopped sailing
at a island of rock
protruding from the waves
that was covered with seals,
which they called Cape sea lions.
The stench of seal dung
and rotting fish
hang heavy in the air
and the boat was rolling to and fro
as well as up and down
and you and some
of the other passengers
got really seasick
and very nauseous.
I took some more photos
trying to ignore the stench
and photographed seals,
waves braking over the rocks,
and everything
but the sea around us.
Those seals had their eyes open
unlike us
for predators like sharks
and shrieking as a saw
going through a board
while more got on those rocks
and sharks started to circle
that island and the boat
and we also felt
like something in the food chain
and were relieved
when the boat’s engine
started again
at the first try.

The Seal Colony
On leaving Inchcolm Island, on the rocks,
We spotted a large colony of seals.
The boat drifted in to take a closer look.
The noisy engine, the skipper killed.
It really was an amazing sight.
I'd never seen seals in the wild before.
Seeing them there with my own two eyes,
Left me feeling excited and in total awe.
Some were moving clumsily about.
Some were resting, 'bottling', in the sea.
Some were lying along their young pups.
It was wonderful to see them wild and free.
We got as close as we dared,
Without causing them any upset.
From where we were, they seemed content,
As we weren't posing them any threat.
We all got our cameras out,
And for many minutes were clicking away.
I didn't want to take my eyes off of them.
I could have stayed watching them all day.
It was so peaceful and tranquil there,
Just watching them lazing and playing in the sun.
But all too soon, the boat reversed away,
And our precious encounter was over and done.

Event
Your event is beginning to take place,
For it is longer and better to be this.
Your event is pleasant and grand,
For it is bigger and huger to become.
Events are monsterous and happy,
For all time it is. For each man it is. For the event it is.

Fundamental of Liar Chapter CXIX: In Their Eyes
You don't intent to be modest
You don't mean to say those white lies
You just don't want to be judged bad in their eyes
You don't intent to be friendly
You don't mean to chat a long
You just don't want to look ugly in their eyes
You don't intent to be strong
You don't mean to show power
You just don't want to lose control in their eyes
You don't intent to be brave
You don't mean to take the role of hero
You just don't want to appear weak in their eyes
You don't intent to be obedient
You don't mean to do all the orders
You just don't want to be considered a threat in their eyes
You don't intent to be professional
You don't mean to follow the rules
You just don't want to be seen indifferent in their eyes
You don't intent to be kind
You don't mean to give a help
You just don't want to raise suspiciousness in their eyes
You don't intent to be generous
You don't mean to be involved in any relation
You just don't want to be outsider in their eyes
You don't intent to be honest
You don't mean to tell the truth
You just don't want to be the one who should be responsible in their eyes
You don't intent to be forgiving

Liberty Rejected
About this heart thou hast
Thy chains made fast,
And think'st thou I would be
Therefrom set free,
And forth unbound be cast?
The ocean would as soon
Entreat the moon
Unsay the magic verse
That seals him hers
From silver noon to noon.
She stooped her pearly head
Seaward, and said:
'Would'st thou I gave to thee
Thy liberty,
In Time's youth forfeited?'
And from his inmost hold
The answer rolled:
'Thy bondman to remain
Is sweeter pain,
Dearer an hundredfold.'

Return Of Monsoon (Terzanelle)
Atlast she is back here to me so close
This change of season to rains, the monsoon
Manured my heart doeth bloom from heaven's dose
How nice she heals all those hot throes so soon
And bids bye bye to summer! .. I wonder..
This change of season to rains the monsoon
How fine she calms and cools all to splendor
Thence in merry bounds of spirit joins life
And bids bye bye to summer I wonder
How well she drives drought to no more of strife
Vales and woods and hills and plains all flourish
Thence in merry bounds of spirit joins life
How great pools and brooks and rivers nourish
While flora-fauna grow bonnie a lot
Vales and woods and hills and plains flourish
Such a divine spit she is from God's heart
Atlast she is back here to me so close
While flora-fauna grow bonnie a lot
Manured my heart doeth bloom from heaven's dose

Divinely Superfluous Beauty
The storm-dances of gulls, the barking game of seals,
Over and under the ocean…
Divinely superfluous beauty
Rules the games, presides over destinies, makes trees grow
And hills tower, waves fall.
The incredible beauty of joy
Stars with fire the joining of lips, O let our loves too
Be joined, there is not a maiden
Burns and thirsts for love
More than my blood for you, by the shore of seals while the wings
Weave like a web in the air
Divinely superfluous beauty.

This is Grand
This Is Grand
Like air — I’m here my dear
uplifting the pinions on your wings;
I raise your form to touch
the clearer sky where Robin sings.
Hold sweet, your pulsing heart
and know the weather will always
bring dew and change before
your eyes as moments ride the days.
Where woman and a man
desire to meet beneath the moon
to build a castle grand—
their wanton lives will end to soon.
I hurry now for you
on whispered winds through open field
to find bouquets of flame
where I shall know what blossoms yield.
And so I say in haste
don’t worry, sunshine holds the hour
in warmth and glow— divine;
I’m waiting at your open door.

Event Of My Death
Event of my Death
As I Iay in the dawn of the hours waiting for my body to rest
I wonder what I will do in the event of my death….
In the event of my death most just think heaven or hell
No not me it doesn’t stop there…
In the event of my death my spirit will leave my body
My spirit will truly start living
In the event of my death I case my location,
Thinking about what led up to this…
In the event of my death I will visit all my loved ones…
My first visit will be to my king..
I will watch over him making him feel secure..
In the event of my death I will make my presence known
I will make them feel me in the heart and their surroundings…
In the event of my death I will travel…
I will hover over all the pyramids in Egypt,
I will explore all the places I’ve never been..
In the event of my death I will talk with my creator..
I will know all the answers…
Most of all In the Event of my death I will meet with my brother..
My brother and I will be together again…
In the Event of My death I will realize I’m really not dead..
In the Event of My death I will know that my spirit lives on..
I will know what living is all about…
In the Event of My death I will be immortal
I will be goddess a In the Event of My death...
I will be what I was born to be....
I will be free
I will be free of insecurities, free of poverty,
free of calamity, free of a broken heart,
Free of depression, free of negativity,
Free of racism, free of prejudice
I will be free In the Event of my Death
I will be all the things I was born to be...
I will be powerful, I will be beautiful, and I will be limitless
I will be a Goddess in the Event of my death...
Now what will you be....

A Summer Picnic
an early summer's day
we drove along on a gravel road
far back into the country
to enjoy a picnic
while snapping a few pictures
wildflowers, buttercups and dandelions
then a lone horse by a fence
farther on a field of jersey cows
by a red barn, with an amazing blue sky
then we arrive at our favourite spot
we stop by the old pond
to enjoy our picnic with a show
so enchanting the peacocks dance
for the white queen with blue eyes

My grand dad
I remember you grand dad
Back since I was only three
I remember you granddad
How much you adored me
I remember you grand dad
How you made me smile
I remember you grand dad
You made my toddler years worthwhile
I remember you grand dad
Your lovely smell of tobacco
I remember you grand dad
The love for others you would show
I remember you grand dad
When I came to see you, you would give me a jellybean
I remember you grand dad
You always made me feel like a queen
I remember you grand dad
And I miss you everyday
There Is A Benefit Received
When is 'enough' understood,
To be that which it is?
When those have said they have had it...
It is doubtful it is meant,
A wish for more is the intent.
With an interpretation that more of an agitation,
Is, afterall, a welcoming event.
And when enough has flowed to leave nothing else left,
Will suggestions be made...
To advocate the instigation,
Of a people seen who have lost their minds,
Completely.
Wanting with a price to pay as demanded,
A chaos as the latest craze.
When is 'enough' understood,
To be that which it is?
When those have said they have had it...
It is doubtful it is meant,
A wish for more is the intent.
But that also depends on 'who' believes,
There is a benefit received to those with intentions.

Grand Illusion
I saw you in a dream, it hit me like a bright light
Flashing on a screen, visions of my whole life.
I used to chase the moment of desire
Back to when my young heart burned like a fire.
It was just a, nothing but a grand illusion.
Heart was quicker than the eye.
Nothing but a grand illusion,
Legend in my own mind.
I held you in my arms till the other side of midnight.
Kept you in my mind, you got me through some long nights.
Standing on the threshold of desire,
Caught between the madness and the fire.
Chorus
It was all a grand illusion.
Hand was quicker than the eye.
Nothing but a grand illusion,
Legends in our own minds.
I used to chase the moments of desire
Back to when my young heart burned like a fire.
It was just a, nothing but a, it was all a grand illusion.
Nothing but a grand illusion.
It was all a grand illusion,
Legend in my own mind.
It was just a grand illusion.
Nothing but a grand illusion.
It was just a grand illusion,
Legend in our own mind.

Great Barrier Reef
I travelled to the Great Barrier Reef,
A whale was offering day-trip adventures.
He swam very fast and the journey was brief,
But he did a breach and lost his dentures.
Lots of other seals were there,
And quite a few humans too.
There was insufficient coral to share,
It was busier than at London Zoo.
I swam around a bit of coral,
It sparkled in many hues,
If this poem had a moral,
It would be to avoid the queues.

God suffers in the multitude of souls whom His word can not reach. Religious truth is imprisoned in a small number of manuscript books which confine instead of spread the public treasure. Let us break the seal which seals up holy things and give wings to Truth in order that she may win every soul that comes into the world by her word no longer written at great expense by hands easily palsied, but multiplied like the wind by an untiring machine.

Behold, an Eskimo Kingdom.
Eskimos live on caribou,
Fish, berries, whales and seals.
Hard biscuits and tea warm ‘em
Other than what had from nature.
What a delicacy when blended
Caribou meat, seal oil and
Artic berries with ice flakes,
‘Akutok' their creamy delight!
Snow dwellings in winter,
Tents of skins on summer,
Eskimos called both an Igloo!
Their Chief had to be skilled,
In hunting or Fishing, whom
Advises sought when needed.
Brave hunters and gatherers
By nature, moved in groups,
When seasons changed, for
Life's course for every race
Is different in many a ways!
Their bodies covered by skins
Of Polar bear, fox, seals
And Caribou kept them warm
In their Frozen kingdom!
Huskies drawn sleds to slide
Over, Kayak for single hunter
And Umiaks to carry families
Across the icy waters, were
Their conveyance natural.
Wild whales when appear
Eskimo group would hunt
With skill and might sheer,
A survival on frozen thorns!
Stories that have traversed
Generations on drum beats
Made them dance during
Winter nights for hours long.
Responsible valorous men
Gathered food for families
When women made clothes
And cooked for their men.
Fur-bearing fox and bear
Were hunted for skin, fish
And seal for flesh, in ocean,
Rivers and streams all seasons.
Sought aid of‘Shamans' to make
Spirits appear to cure when sick,
Ensure a good hunting and
To control the weather hostile.
Even in their frozen minds
Forms of art had its place,
With many available stuff
Had manifestation of skills.
A brother Eskimo grins on
Looking at his FB screen,
By the frozen Greenland or
Siberia, Alaska or Canada!
Might be in pursuit of new
Techniques for hunting,
Shaping, shearing, sailing
Still with his Sealskin boots on!

Picnic in the rain
The rain was pouring down,
we set out for the park,
children in the back seat,
mothers in the front.
Picnic baskets packed,
tasty treats for all
we took a big umbrella
we'd need before nightfall.
A bottle of red for Al',
a can of beer for Jan
some Pepsi for young Josie
and a flask of tea for Anne.
Our French students came with us
spitting out French words,
oh la la and non, non, non
was plainly what we heard.
Zees mad English people
z'ey go out in zee rain,
we don't understand them
what zat they zey say again?
A streaker ran right by us,
I saw his ample cheeks,
well what else would I see
that might well rhyme with streak?
I tried to shade the children's eyes
but they were having none,
ooh la la, he's naked
look at his red bum!
We had a grand ol' afternoon
and then the sun came out.
Puddles dried up rapidly
and sun cream up did sprout.
So next time when it's pouring
we'll do it all again!
We're English, mad as hatters
and we picnic in the rain.

The White Seal
Oh! hush thee, my baby, the night is behind us,
And black are the waters that sparkled so green.
The moon, o'er the combers, looks downward to find us
At rest in the hollows that rustle between.
Where billow meets billow, there soft be thy pillow;
Ah, weary wee flipperling, curl at thy ease!
The storm shall not wake thee, nor shark overtake thee,
Asleep in the arms of the slow-swinging seas.
You mustn't swim till you're six weeks old,
Or your head will be sunk by your heels;
And summer gales and Killer Whales
Are bad for baby seals.
Are bad for baby seals, dear rat,
As bad as bad can be.
But splash and grow strong,
And you can't be wrong,
Child of the Open Sea!

Seals Captured No Killed Osama Bin Laden?
If you go down to Virginia Beach your sure of a big surprise
navy seals are playing videos of shooting unarmed Bin Ladin?
USA proudly cheering shooting this 53 year old unarmed man
before his wife's eyes as peering out of his bedroom window?
the best America has got could not capture an unarmed old man
could not capture a woman without shooting her first in the leg?
yes navy seals cannot capture one married couple is a surprise
they claimed a Jihad hero used his wife as a shield told gross lies?
as Obama said they located then killed on his watch by his orders
Bin Laden political assassination aim to seal Obama's reelection?
Bin Laden's body not buried within 24 hours dumped in the sea
no photographic or DNA evidence of Bin Laden's death released?
Operation Neptune Spear the elite seal team six kill operation
under the control of the Central Intelligence Agency equipped;
with military assault rifles with attached silencer suppressors
body armor night-vision goggles and handguns plays assassins;
launch heroic mission 6 helicopters 79 Commandos 1 war dog
attacks a house with 22 civilians including their wives children?
kills 5 wounds 3 manages to captive 17 women children alive
but oh the tactical errors losing a Black Hawk stealth helicopter?
final score 1 civilian killed was actually armed the woman killed?
was not armed the seals all fast-roped to the ground then ran up
three flights of stairs to get Bin Ladin none jumped onto the roof?
USA 10 year funded Mujahideen hero against the Soviets is alive?
