A Flower To Auroville Mother-68
Wax Begonia(Fibrous Begonia,
Begonia x semperflorens-cultorum)
Ruffled Yellow Begonia
(Begonia tuberosa 'Ruffled Yellow')
Hanging Basket Red Begonia
(Begonia 'Red Cascade')
Angel Wing Begonia(Scarlet begonia
Begonia coccinea)
Shimpli(Begonia phrixophylla)
Common Begonia(Begonia crenata)
You wish to tire me a lot
Coloured of so many shades
Tired of a godly how it be
As you godly here to trot
Short and sunny and velvety
Single and double waxy bright
Ruffled and vivid the yellow
Doubled in dark leafing showy
Winged of angels pendulous red
Potted Begonia too stupendous
Begonia rosy cosy eye-catchy
Pink and green furry splendid
Bristled leaves flattened bloom
Shimpli a rosy tuberous rare
Spread on hills and rocks wide
Common Crenata heartily zoom
Oh, more shades and shapes awesome
You wish to tire me a lot, lot
Tired of a godly, godly how it be
As you godly here more delightsome

The Flowers I See
The belladonna in the valley, so magical in purple, so deadly within me, the nightshade thou possess, and in thee my life fade. The amaryllis in mine soul, thy scarlet leaf haunts me, for in thy scarlet stained grief, mine love and life I see. The blossom canna even thee! with lips stained with vice, from the vice of pleasure you chose, to create the beauty of thine treasure for our souls to greed. The begonia of beauty delicious thy beauty leave, and like all beauty thou deceive, the love pregnant in me. The oriental poppy, thy aroma helps me to sleep and dream of colors as vivid as thee and as unreal as thy petals be, unreal my dreams of thee. O fairy blossoms, in pink and white wing, inside thy petals the butterfly dwells and the spring ferries sing. Ah! there is the rose, with all its beauty in she which grows, wins the hearts of all whom know, that in the rose our love to doth grow. Still all these flowers look pale next to she, the panther in brown, with eyes of ebony, whom stares at me and sees flowers in my gleaming eye and preys on me before I die.

Filling Station
Oh, but it is dirty!
--this little filling station,
oil-soaked, oil-permeated
to a disturbing, over-all
black translucency.
Be careful with that match!
Father wears a dirty,
oil-soaked monkey suit
that cuts him under the arms,
and several quick and saucy
and greasy sons assist him
(it's a family filling station),
all quite thoroughly dirty.
Do they live in the station?
It has a cement porch
behind the pumps, and on it
a set of crushed and grease-
impregnated wickerwork;
on the wicker sofa
a dirty dog, quite comfy.
Some comic books provide
the only note of color--
of certain color. They lie
upon a big dim doily
draping a taboret
(part of the set), beside
a big hirsute begonia.
Why the extraneous plant?
Why the taboret?
Why, oh why, the doily?
(Embroidered in daisy stitch
with marguerites, I think,
and heavy with gray crochet.)
Somebody embroidered the doily.
Somebody waters the plant,
or oils it, maybe. Somebody
arranges the rows of cans
so that they softly say:
ESSO--SO--SO--SO
to high-strung automobiles.
Somebody loves us all.

Happening 1961
Greenfield said
where you from?
London you replied
I don’t like Londoners
he said as a bee
buzzed in the greenhouse
where the rural science teacher
Gable had sent you.
Greenfield pushed you
against the potting bench
and you pushed him
against begonia plants
which fell to the floor
and he punched
your arm
and you punched
his jaw
and he grabbed you
around the waist
and you both
fell to the floor.
You smelt his sweat
and saw blood
drip from his lips.
Get up you gits
another boy said
Old Gable’s coming
and so you pulled
Greenfield up
by the hand
and he brushed off
your school jacket
and you pushed
your fingers
through your hair
and he wiped blood
from his lips
and in came Gable
and said
what’s happening here?
And why are the begonias
on the floor?
My fault you said
I knocked them
with my elbow
and Greenfield
was going to
pick them up
when he banged his jaw
on the bench by accident.
Gable glared
at you both
and said
well bloody well
pick them up
and clean up the mess
and left.
Greenfield held
his handkerchief
to his lip.
You picked up
the begonias
one by one
and put them
on the bench.
Greenfield put them
tidy and neat
and kicked
the spilt earth
under the bench
with his feet.
Gable’s a toss
Greenfield said
and put out
his hand for
you to shake.
You shook his hand
and smiled
and he laughed
and said
I guess Londoners
aren’t all bad
and the bee buzzed
out the open window
and you watched it go
and was glad.

Godly Giving
Giving is Godly
For God is love
Giving denotes love
Love for the deprived
For whom life is a strive
To ensure they thrive
So give generously
That is Godly giving
Giving is Godly
When you give what you cherish
Dish out what you relish
That connotes sacrifice
To make the sad satisfied
The gloomy gratified,
And the miserable mollified
Putting on their faces smiles
Hitherto miles away from them
That is Godly giving
Giving is Godly
When it flows from fondness
When it gushes gladly
When giving is not to boast
But to the poor, honestly boost
In obedience to the Word
Inspired by the Word
To display devotion to the Word
That is Godly Giving

Tonight stars do twinkle (English sonnet)
Tonight stars do twinkle with their glowing light
while the wonders from God's hand do shine
and some are dim and some are white and bright
as they display a power Godly and divine
and from the moment they did begin
every night they do find their way
as Godly beacons to a world of sin
until the very break of day
while constantly they do glow
and in the darkness do appear
as if some hidden purpose they do know,
as if to them constantly Godly power is near
as they are shining always sparkling
and to onlookers some wonder and joy they do bring

A Flower To Auroville Mother-77
Rain Lily Rose(Zephyranthes rosea)
Primrose Rain Lily(Zephyranthes primulina)
Yellow Rain Lily(Zephyranthes citrina)
Fairy Lily(pink rain lily, Zephyranthes carinata)
Fairy Lily(white rain lily, Zephyranthes candida)
Ah, o'dear I found you at Kalakad
Brought and planted in my yard
Knowing not then much of matter
About you and your family fatter
And when you grew prettily wide
Rain God in love one day pattered
Awesome to see you basked in joy
Blossoming making me too enjoy
You were rose with sister yellow
White or pink or primrose yellow-
Somewhere yonder all far farther
Only you rose and yellow together
Short and flared yellow upward
Potted or fielded grassy leaved
Small and green throated lily rose
To green tube funneled rosy tepals
O'rain lilies, so yellow and rose
Bloom, bloom often by rainy showers
Bordered or potted or clumped lot
Gathered in gentle bliss in my heart

Beauty in mould not in clay.
Kannaki!
Have you done any godly things
For having become a goddess?
Rage and revenge are not godly things.
Chastity is commonplace of your era,
Not to be taken as a rare quality.
I think you must bow to Illango
For his skill of portraying you.

How Many Shades Of Green
HOW MANY SHADES OF GREEN
How many shades of green
Olive green
Dark green
Light green
Yellow green
How many shades of yellow
Deep yellow
Rose yellow
Sun yellow
Morning light yellow
How many shades of light
How much light
How much Beauty in the world
How much Light-
How much- God.

Cardwell Lily(Proiphys amboinensis)
From your bulbed abode
Strong long you rise
Fanning veined leaves
Seem elephant-eared
Huge, broad and shiny
I see a contest there
As you up in clusters
Snow-white six petals
Yellow throated bliss
Godly..'tie' I declare

Effort To Live For God
As one would run for exercise, there is a race in order to be wise,
Not wisdom unto worldly ways, but, Godly Wisdom to His praise.
Effort on our part, we must expend, for Godliness to be our end,
As we set forth into this race, through The Spirit, by God’s Grace.
When we do run this race for Him, we run for God, in order to win,
Running the race with all our heart; longing to win right at the start.
And in The Lord we must submit, if we’re to become spiritually fit,
This as we resist the devil and flee, to pursue The God of Eternity.
We must also put off the old man, to live new life, per God’s Plan,
Replacing our old habits of sin, with Godly behavior found in Him,
As we wrestle in the Ways of God, we’ll be lead by Staff and Rod,
While learning to live a Godly life, to be a witness for Jesus Christ.
As we fix our minds and eyes, upon Christ and the Heavenly prize,
Bring to Him every captive thought, Godly thinking will be wrought.
Running this race, you rest in God, while still upon this earthly sod,
Practicing all the things we heard, as we read and live God’s Word.
We depend on our Savior above, while God guides us in His Love,
Devoted to our Lord every day, as we walk along life’s narrow way,
And humble obedience is our call, to live for Christ, who is over all,
Worshiping daily, we truly praise, Christ, who helps us all our days.

The Wild Hills
Fly me across the wild hills in autumn,
With soft amber shades, brown, russet and brick,
Peach, copper and bronze all blending together,
A carpet of sadness, in this sight so tragic.
Fly me across the wild hills in winter,
With amethyst shades, puce, purple and grey,
Blue, ebony and pewter, all fusing together,
A carpet of starkness, in this scene of decay.
Fly me across the wild hills in springtime,
With pale emerald shades, sage, olive and lime,
White, yellow and silver, all mingling together,
A carpet of lushness, in this new view sublime.
Fly me across the wild hills in summer,
With magenta bright shades, pink, dark mauve and red,
Lemon, orange and gold all in harmony together,
A carpet of richness, in this panorama spread.

0085... Ne'er The Twain...?
So many centuries of Indian thought,
so many saints who found their inmost soul,
so much of observation of the mind,
so much of consciousness itself revealed...
and all this given due language and due terms -
that we, the distant heirs, yet that same self,
may struggle, in our word-hoard so much less,
to stretch our minds to comprehend this wealth;
thus, make a virtue from necessity,
and as perforce the English mystics did,
with heart-warmed mind, speak true simplicity;
with mind-clear heart, reveal what's God and hid:
and trust that godly silence, godly sound
shall yield that self-same truth to Western mind.

A Flower To Auroville Mother-4
Kanakaambaram(Firecracker Flower) (Crossandra infundibuliformis)
Her glory stands out apt to her name
Golden glitter so attired of high fame
Ethnic yellow, orange, pink around whole year
Extra blue, magenta, white special as december
Nature's Origami of a godly craft
Natural splendour albeit a scentless art
Strands sisterly weave on dancing braids
She is long fresh despite her papery petals

Yellow Jasmine, (Italian Jasmine,
Jasminum humile)
Atlast, I've found her
Long-lasting fragrant
Pentapetaled brighter
A Jasmine so anticipant
Yellowy, godly rewarding
Daughter of Himalayas
Willowy angularly branching
Shrubby with pinnate leaves
A Jasmine so anticipant
Of respect and worship
Inviting charm and scent
Medicative sure a godship

0081 The Metaphysical Path of Love
Of God Himself can no man truly think;
Creator He, beyond all human thought;
yet questing intellect oft scans the brink
of what of Him may yet, in truth, be sought;
and if that questing grow to firm intent,
it clears the mind of all that blocks its path;
takes on a godly aim, all on Him bent,
and sharpens our devotion's godly dart.
And yet, though God's not thought, He may be loved;
so, leaving all those things that we can think,
take up - our mind now clear - the path of love,
and choose in love, that thing we cannot think.
God's grace: when thought surrenders all to love,
Love's bounty showers thought from heaven above.

Carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus)
Here is the mistress of gardens
Overseeing all way all over
In admiration me a blade of grass
Upping tiny head watching her glamour
And you join to see Carnation
Wonderstruck, wanna be gifted
'Godly pink, by sacred dictation
Scented too! 'scream thrilled
'Nice florets in a cyme together
Hey, look, more' you continue
At red, yellow, white green more
Topping at the pink grand mother
Numbering more some stamens peep
Whorled in shy meeting you
In subdued modesty leafs steep
From sunned alkali we accrue
You spin around the flowers
With emotional coherence in awe
Unaware, stamping me in blisters
Sensed flower but calms my 'aaaaaah'

Suspect
Tonight the real clues approach the detective,
Angry images of a god parade the temple,
Forces are at work eventually.
We matter to themselves as a party,
The godly forceps, these godly powers.
Yet anger creeps into the rhyme,
A poem is incomplete and unfair,
Yet the irate shepherd shall carry his sheep
Back with haste to half-complete the poetry.
To feel worshipful we must complete the duty
Daring us tonight, to speak with fists
As far as dollies and their fairy-talk.
This poem concentrates on the
Suspicions held by the detective.

The Yellow Ribbon On The Old Oak Tree
who can forget the yellow ribbon
on that old oak tree? tell me.
tomorrow, i shall wear my yellow cap
my yellow shirt, my yellow brief,
my yellow pants.
my jaundiced eye, my golden yellow ring.
tomorrow, in my country, the sky is yellow.
all steps lead to the yellow brick road.
all fruits are ripe and mellow and yellow.
Tomorrow, the country is yellow.
Yellow for integrity, Yellow for change.
Yellow for justice. Yellow for truth.
One day more, and the sun shall rise
Yellow as ever.Yellow forever.
