Sun, Moon and the River
Sun takes a dip
Into the flowing waters
Pieces of sun float!
The flowing waters
Absorbed y'day's moon
Threw up today's sun!
At some abstract point of time on 12 Oct 2011

Glory Be
Waters flowing though my veins
Nothing ever stays the same
Waters flowing down my side
Turn the water into wine
Wheres the courage I once had
Wheres the strength I once possessed
To stand up tall and face the music
Laughing in the face of death
Heres a boy whose hands are bleeding
Though hes never had a scratch
Glory come and glory be
Waters flowing now at last
Chorus
Like a bad dream I once had where
Everyone but me knew something
Walking blind through the burning fields
The dead brigade is on my heels
They follow me--they follow me
Waters flowing though my veins
Nothing ever stays the same
Flows outside for all to see
Water flows through you and me
Nothing ever stays the same
Water turns to wine again
Drink the wine & eat the wafer
Lash the skin & scream together
Chorus
Bridge
Waters flowing through me
Cut me open--let me bleed
Silence is golden
(but) shout it out--shout it out--shout
Waters flowing through my veins
Nothing ever stays the same
Through eyes that once were blind with passion
Everything looks soft and grey
Without color or rough edges
Without fire to burn the skin
Without pride and without reason
Water turns to wine again
Waters flowing through my veins
Tell me now its all the same
Tell me that it doesnt matter
Tell me everythings alright
Chorus
Waters flowing through my veins
Nothing ever stays the same
Glory come and glory be
Glory come to you and me
Waters flowing through my veins . . .

Dreamy River
There's a dreamy river flowing
Down the street from my house
I walk down there after work
But I paddle my way home
There's a dreamy river flowing
On every street corner in the world
And if that young moon is in the sky
She'll wink at you and let you pass by
There's a dreamy river flowing
From my refrigerator into my mouth
It only costs a few dollars
To keep those shelves stocked
There's a dreamy river flowing
From my mouth into my gut
There's a dreamy river flowing
From my wank into the street
There's a dreamy river flowing
In my mind as I lay to sleep
There's a dreamy river flowing
From a town I've never been to
Across this great country
And also from overseas
Sometimes from people's kitchens
Transversing time and space
I float down this river
Every night and day
There's a dreamy river flowing
From the hops and the malts and sugar
I call it my brother, I call it my wife
I call it my true friend
Let me float upon you dreamy river
And drown all these sorrows
That call to me from pasts I've severed

Summer Day on the Current River
for Robin on our 22nd anniversary
The placid Current River ever growing
brightly shimmers in the mid-day sun,
its azure waters cool and southward flowing.
Buried caverns through the limestone bring
fresh fountains pouring cold ablution
into the placid Current ever growing.
Around the bend another rushing spring
bursts forth to lend aquatic motion
to the crystal water’s southward flowing.
Cheerful floaters revel, tanned and smiling,
celebrating pleasant summer fun
upon the tranquil waters ever growing.
Gentle breezes set the leaves to rustling
while time stands still for everyone
along the peaceful river calmly flowing.
Shaded skies foretell the day’s conclusion
and a stellar fantasy has now begun
to dance above the moonlit river glowing:
its azure waters cool and southward flowing.

In The Shallow Waters
to the geese
all waters are shallow
does one always have
to be on top
of the deep
silent waters?
to fathom the deep
and be the deep
itself
engrossed to the wisdom
of its secrets
and wallow
in the enigma
of the anonymous
or the unknown paths
breathless
there is a time to be
not ourselves
and we take chances on the
shallow waters
in there we are not fishers
of men
or women or anything
we wade and relax
waters covering half our bodies
half-truths
you must see and feel
trivial as they are
they make us
so light like cotton
or silk flowing on our skins
like clouds
we float and drift and go anywhere
i felt it once
oh, so nice temporarily but at the end
it haunts me.
for it is not me and it can never be me.
i am matter, i have weight and i sink
to the bottom
to the deepest secrets of my truths
if i drown at least, i have my graveyard
ready.

Day
Waking one morning
In a pleasant land,
By a river flowing
Over golden sand:--
Whence flow ye, waters,
O'er your golden sand?
We come flowing
From the Silent Land.
Whither go ye, waters,
O'er your golden sand?
We go flowing
To the Silent Land.
And what is this fair realm?
A grain of golden sand
In the great darkness
Of the Silent Land.

A Flowing River
Like a flowing river
our life is constantly changing
hitting rough waters
and stony shores.
Then lying in peace
within tranquil pools
and some days we are
tossed hither and tither
then gain our momentum to carry on
just like a flowing river

The Hindoo Girl’s Song
FLOAT on—float on—my haunted bark,
Above the midnight tide;
Bear softly o'er the waters dark
The hopes that with thee glide.
Float on—float on—thy freight is flowers,
And every flower reveals
The dreaming of my lonely hours,
The hope my spirit feels.
Float on—float on—thy shining lamp,
The light of love, is there;
If lost beneath the waters damp,
That love must then despair.
Float on—beneath the moonlight float
The sacred billows o'er:
Ah, some kind spirit guards my boat,
For it has gained the shore.

Stop Is Such A Taboo In The World Of Inspiration
in the world of inspiration where
the fireworks come like an everyday feast
in the world of colors like dusk and twilight
and summer nights and auroras of the stars
and the silvery moon sliding on the shiny river,
the word 'stop' is a taboo, for in the world of imagination
where everything comes and goes
like the snap of a finger or the blink of an eye
the world is a long, and wide, and winding river
without banks and ends
with a mouth always opening to the sea beyond this horizon
where everything that floats and swims along with it
is taken and made a part of the beautiful world
of sights and sounds
and space and sense
in my world there is only the ceaseless flow of freedom
of thought, no one stops me
i may rest for a while and take a look at something that catches
my attention like the burst of red oranges in the sky
and too,
like that creature
that person that takes a mutual look
once in a while, a pause,
a comma, a hyphen
but then, i am back to the world of the river
the world of clauses and dashes,
flowing, floating, flowering
forever flowing, unstopping, unceasing, always going and going
and on and on and on, to the flowing waters of the soul.

Deodorant
Shampoo and deodorant,
The arcade and the pizza parlour;
Being merciful to him and her,
But it all came to pass! !
Do not worry about it,
For he or she does it all the time;
And your whisper is like a shock to me.
Flowing tap,
Flowing water,
Flowing stream,
Flowing river;
Elegance to the muse of your love,
But the heavens and the earth are watching us.

Flowing Water
Water doesn't stop flowing
Even in uncertainty where there's nothing.
And nobody to him is directing,
Amidst of these, he's still aiming.
He doesn't care where to go
'Coz he trust with the flow
He even doesn't know
That stagnation impedes him to go
Flowing, flowing, flowing
The only thing he is doing
But it doesn't stop him from hoping
To get the precious thing is aiming
To reach the sea is his victory
The simplest wish that makes him happy
'Coz attaining this is not so easy
To complete this precious journey.

Word Fervor
I am awake
weak with fervor
word residue
demand residue
draining words
leave in source
swiftly written
day upon day
without cessation
spring melt
is rapid
ice melt
winter melt
from high
mountain passes
flow neither waits
nor impeded hinders
observe flow waters
observe flow words
rapidly boiling forth
upon overflow rock
water force weight
unrestrained turbulent energy
unobserved water
still flows
unobserved without pause
lessons in
swift flowing waters
like swift flowing words
seen only
by those attentive
with sight to see

Autumn, Break of Day
The troubled waters—
tumbling forth over the sand,
flowing underneath
a rising mist, a lowly,
billowing fog that
obscures the distance before
me—slow down in time,
captured in the winter glaze,
shoreline frozen fast,
ripples pausing in moonlight,
waves ebbing, whisked where
twilit shadows fall on us.
Snow begins to pack
on the banks where streams would once
flourish, where petals
would fall off the autumn trees
to float where they may—
drifting through the still season
to the cold mountains
where the air thins, softly chills,
and where quiet comes
to those who seek it. Silence
like seaweed gathers
in the surf that sways forward,
Washing past the swell
that pools in the remains of
the skittering day.
Upon an embankment, branches
interlace, weaving
a clumsily gathered web
of half-forgotten
memories—the unspoken,
fading mirages,
the illusive scurf of life.
The troubled waters
grow idle, torpid with frost.
The troubled waters
hush by the dawn, and settle
by the break of day.

All Day I Hear the Noise of Waters
All day I hear the noise of waters
Making moan,
Sad as the sea-bird is when, going
Forth alone,
He hears the winds cry to the water's
Monotone.
The grey winds, the cold winds are blowing
Where I go.
I hear the noise of many waters
Far below.
All day, all night, I hear them flowing
To and fro.

Bathing
Bathing in a river is a fun
The flowing waters clash with your muscles
and runs past you
It fails to carry you off
where Proserpine surrounded by sea nymphs
holds her court
But dip into the waters once
And for a few seconds you foget yoursel; f
You can feel at that time the waves of nothingness
taking possession of
Think and you are amidst fire
Think and you are amidst surging sounds
It is sheer sensation and thoughtlessness
The reality then pricks you penetrates into you
pours into you waters of nothingness and life
They give you some prescience of the world
which Proserpine rules
Once you pop up from the waves you are baptised
Because you dipped in the well of light
Water and fire, light and wind, sound and silence
They remain different and yet they come to you
as if they are not different from one another
And bathin g is a great fun

Remembrance of Collins
Composed upon the Thames near Richmond
Glide gently, thus for ever glide,
O Thames! that other bards may see
As lovely visions by thy side
As now, fair river! come to me.
O glide, fair stream! for ever so,
Thy quiet soul on all bestowing,
Till all our minds for ever flow
As thy deep waters now are flowing.
Vain thought!--Yet be as now thou art,
That in thy waters may be seen
The image of a poet's heart,
How bright, how solemn, how serene!
Such as did once the Poet bless,
Who murmuring here a later ditty,
Could find no refuge from distress
But in the milder grief of pity.
Now let us, as we float along,
For 'him' suspend the dashing oar;
And pray that never child of song
May know that Poet's sorrows more.
How calm! how still! the only sound,
The dripping of the oar suspended!
--The evening darkness gathers round
By virtue's holiest Powers attended.

De Ægypto
I even I, am he who knoweth the roads
Through the sky, and the wind thereof is my body.
I have beheld the Lady of Life,
I, even I, who fly with the swallows.
Green and gray is her raiment,
Trailing along the wind.
I, even I, am he who knoweth the roads
Through the sky, and the wind thereof is my body.
Manus animam pinxit,
My pen is in my hand
To write the acceptable word. . . .
My mouth to chant the pure singing!
Who hath the mouth to receive it,
The song of the Lotus of Kumi?
I, even I, am he who knoweth the roads
Through the sky, and the wind thereof is my body.
I am flame that riseth in the sun,
I, even I, who fly with the swallows.
The moon is upon my forehead,
The winds are under my lips.
The moon is a great pearl in the waters of sapphire,
Cool to my fingers the flowing waters.
I, even I, am he who knoweth the roads
Through the sky, and the wind thereof is my body.

Be In My Heart
What did I ever do for you, that you should die for me
And what did I ever give to you, that you should live in me
Now and forever and always true, your love has found a way
As I was, I am and always will be, will be
Be in my heart, be in my head, be in my soul tonight
Live in my words, let it be said, live in my life tonight
Pray that I never take in vain, the name I hold most dear
His love in very heart of me, casts out all doubt and fear
Now and forever and always true, your love has found a way
As I was, I am and always will be, will be
Be in my heart, be in my head, be in my soul tonight
Live in my words, let it be said, live in my life tonight
Tonight we shall sweetly sleep
Tonight by still waters deep
Tonight for my soul to keep, still waters lead me to your
Still waters, I need to drink of your still waters
Now that I know the kind of love that comes to fill me up
Fill me anew with love from you and overflow my cup
Now and forever and always true, your love has found a way
As I was, I am and always will be, will be
Be in my heart, be in my head, be in my soul tonight
Live in my words, let it be said, live in my life tonight
Still waters running deep
Still waters my soul to keep
Still waters its your love flowing over me
