His Brother’s Keeper

By his paths through the parched desolation,
Hot rides and the terrible tramps;
By the hunger, the thirst, the privation
Of his work in the further most camps.

By his worth in the light that shall search men
And prove – ay! And justify each –
I place him in front of all churchmen
Who feel not, who know not – but preach!

The Christ of the 'Never

With eyes that are narrowed to pierce
To the awful horizons of land,
Through the blaze of hot days, and the fierce
White heat-waves that flow on the sand;
Through the Never Land westward and nor'ward,
Bronzed, bearded, and gaunt on the track,
Low-voiced and hard-knuckled, rides forward
The Christ of the Outer Out-back.

For the cause that will ne'er be relinquished
Despite all the cynics on earth---
In the ranks of the bush undistinguished
By manner or dress---if by birth;
God's preacher, of churches unheeded---
God's vineyard, though barren the sod---
Plain spokesman where spokesman is needed,
Rough link 'twixt the bushman and God.

He works where the hearts of a nation
Are withered in flame from the sky,
Where the sinners work out their salvation
In a hell-upon-earth ere they die.
In the camp or the lonely hut lying
In a waste that seems out of God's sight,
He's the doctor---the mate of thee dying
Through the smothering heat of the night.

By his work in the hells of the shearers,
Where the drinking is ghastly and grim,
Where the roughest and worst of his hearers
Have listened bareheaded to him;
By his paths through the parched desolation,
Hot rides, and the long, terrible tramps;
By the hunger, the thirst, the privation
Of his work in the farthermost camps;

By his worth in the light that shall search men
And prove---ay! and justify---each,
I place him in front of all churchmen
Who feel not, who know not---but preach!

Misery

children all over the world in poverty, hunger and misery.
is this the way it's supposed to be?
is this the reason they were brought into this world?
is this what you want to see for your little boy and girl
as adults can't we see-we have to stop this hunger and misery.
god has given us the power to concieve
so let us set our children free.
free of what we have created-poverty, hunger and hatred.
let us work to become as one
let our children see the sun
for right now their world is in a dark mist
with not a flicker of light to be found.
their hopes torn to the ground..
there has to be a place to start.
search your heart-search your mind
the answer is within our grasp
it is something that has to last.

Prosperity and poverty

Hunger for food has been met;
Hunger for love has set in.

Hunger for power has been met;
Hunger for ethics has set in.

Hunger for lust has been met;
Hunger for faith has set in.

Thirst for knowledge has been met;
Thirst for innocence has set in.

Thirst for contacts has been met;
Thirst for concerns has set in.

Thirst for comfort has been met;
Thirst for compassion has set in.

Love, ethics, faith lost,
Innocence, concerns and compassion missing,

Despite food, power and lust,
Despite knowledge, comfort and compassion,

The soul will die a slow death
Long before the body succumbs.

The world will not die of poverty
But it will sure die of prosperity.

Do Not Look For The Form

do not look for the form
or the shape of your longing

there are no forms
but only hunger and thirst

parched lips looking for the source of the water
empty hands looking for the the sand
to slip through the fingers

questions that look for the answers
flowing water looking for its place to rest

steady ponds
bright lights of the moon
and the shadow
watching the stars

Google Poem = 2012 By Most Published Poet On The Web

Google has become a world of its own
As hearts and souls communicate and relate.
There's always someone 24 hours night and day
To converse with, respond to or debate.

People by the millions can influence one another
By how they feel and what they say.
All of us search for friendship, love and answers
As we consume our monitor at work or play.

Google delivers us past the gatekeepers
And the public juries the thoughts we preach.
It's up to God and our own self-worth
If our postings glorify, identify and teach.

Google can close doors no man can open
And open doors no man can close.
It's up to us to prove our worldly worth
By our lifetime example of the words we chose.

I Feel Like The Sea-Gull

I feel like the sea-gull
That wanders the ocean-waves calm or tossed
With tempests in mid-Ocean or sea-shore:
I am the sea-gull
That with parched throat
Cries his piercing cry across the landscape
Where sea and sky are only and they meet
In my lone call:
I am the sea-gull that protests
And speaks injustice and its pains
And that is why
My throat is parched – yet I am free
Free in my flight across the air
Flipping around my wings; moving
Flying miles and kilometers moving
Flying near to land as much as can I
For I must bespeak – people must hear me.
My call I know will pierce
And the hearts
That lie now frozen by unjust hands
Will feel the warmth of summer in their innocence
Their throats no longer will be parched
Nor will they thirst
But by the springs of paradise will slake their thirst:
And they will have justice.
And the earth will flower again, no longer groan
Under its burdens
And I
And I, the lonely sea-gull of the ocean-winds
Will cry my eerie cry no more
My deed done my heart can break
And I
The lonely sea-gull will float
Float speechless on the Ocean’s bosom to the skies.

Gypsies Tramps And Thieves

I was born in the wagon of a traveling show
My momma used to dance for the money they'd throw
Papa would do whatever he could
Preach a little Gospel
Sell a couple bottles of Dr. Good
Chorus:
Gypsies, tramps and thieves
We'd hear it from the people of the town
They'd call us
Gypsies, tramps and thieves
But every night all the men would come around
And lay their money down
Picked up a boy just south of Mobile
Gave him a ride, filled him with a hot meal
I was 16, he was 21
Rode with us to Memphis
And Papa woulda shot 'im if he knew what he'd done
Chorus
I never had schoolin' but he taught me well
With his smooth, Southern style
Three months later I'm a gal in trouble
And I haven't seen him for a while
I haven't seen him for a while
She was born in the wagon of a traveling show
Her momma used to dance for the money they'd throw
Grandpa would do whatever he could
Preach a little Gospel
Sell a couple bottles of Dr. Good
Repeat Chorus
Gypsies, tramps and thieves (repeat and fade

Burma 2008

Reflected in its concave surface
a glimmer of light gathered from distant stars,
with a taste of salt from an infinite ocean.
Its form held perfectly by perfect love,
its origin behind one of two windows
looking out onto sadness and desolation.

With its birth in hunger and loss
it journeys towards a mouth that cries
and without speech proclaims humanity,
and without a grain of love soon dies;
as on that nearby ocean rides
vessels of salvation captive to political lies.

A fall and shame

What a down fall and shame?
Whom do we appreciate or blame?
Do we not regret and feel pity?
Can’t realize and feel His beauty

Where he is not there?
Is He not in us or here?
Is there need to go anywhere?
When you can’t find him somewhere?

Why do the sun and stars shine?
Why moon light appeal and I feel it fine?
I fail to submit and completely resign
He has marks all over to sign

Face appears reddish and beautifully shine
When I feel His power as sacredly divine
What He is to me and to the Universe?
Feel His presence when I pray and converse

Grant me divine eye to see and feel
I shall not feel it inwardly still
It is nothing but a shaken faith
I got to over come before my death

I see life in every particles
I see message in every articles
Does He convey or try to preach?
We got to pick up with sincere search

I owe everything to Him
He is light and powerful beam
A light to living being and lifeless even
There is place for us definitely in heaven

Love to breath and look around
Birds sing spread the message with beautiful sound
What do they convey in encrypted language?
Love to all and feelings to assuage

I shall pray and wait for blessings
I shall bow and regret for complete missing
The darkest chapter without being in light
What else can I say when I am not right?

The Drought

Grasses are parched
dry as dust
a cancer spreading
dry rust
locust swarms perish
of hunger and thirst
my green patch of lawn
the last
on this once great continent
faces the unblinking sun
and me
mad and sunstroked
holding the waterless hose
melting in my hand.

The Straying Sheep

How many sheep are straying
Lost from the Savior's fold!
Upon the lonely mountain, They shiver with the cold:
Within the tangled thickets,
Where poison vines do creep,
And over rocky ledges
Still roam the poor lost sheep.

O come, let us go and find them!
In the paths of death they roam.
At the close of the day 'twill be sweet to say:
"I have brought some lost one home."

O who will go to find them?
Who, for the Savior's sake,
Will search with tireless patience
Through brier and through brake
Unheeding thirst or hunger,
Who still from day to day,
Will seek, as for treasure,
The sheep that go astray?

O come, let us go and find them!
In the paths of death they roam.
At the close of the day 'twill be sweet to say:
"I have brought some lost one home."

Say, will you seek to find them?
From pleasant bow'rs of ease
Will you go forth determined
To find the least of these?
For still the Savior calls them,
And looks across the wold,
And still He holds wide open
The door into His fold.

O come, let us go and find them!
In the paths of death they roam.
At the close of the day 'twill be sweet to say:
"I have brought some lost one home."

How sweet 'twound be at evening
If you and I could say,
"Good Shepherd we've been seeking
The sheep that went astray!
Heartsore and faint with hunger,
We heard them making moan,
And lo! we come at nightfall,
And bear them safely home."

O come, let us go and find them!
In the paths of death they roam.
At the close of the day 'twill be sweet to say:
"I have brought some lost one home."

The Next Poem In The Prison

The seed of war grows well,
On the farm of hatred;
I abhor wars,
Though my victory be certain;
I abhor enforced exodus,
And the camps too,
The camps peep out of my eyes,
I am in search of
Absolute peace and liberty,
My search winks at me.
I am with peace,
And my fate is isolation,
I shall write,
The next poem in the prison.

Kristina

So thought u had a friend
but he lied to you again
about what u meant to him
but thats the way it always goes
your never happy and it shows
so you go out searching again
and every single night
you hold on so tight
but your looking in the wrong way
(the wrong way)
And when he takes you home
you still feel alone
cause you got it from the wrong place
(the wrong place)
You say your happy on your back
when your head is full of crack
but your lying to yourself
so you go down on him again
cuz he says he loves you oh but then
you walk right out as if to prove
That every single night
you hold on so tight
but your looking in the wrong way
(the wrong way)
And when he takes you home
you still feel alone
cause you got it from the wrong place
(the wrong place)
So you wonder what you lost
sit and calculate the cost
and it seems pretty darn big
But the message finally got through
and now you know just what to do
so, here we go again
And now you search your heart
which is a better start
then looking in the wrong way
(the wrong way)
Now when the lights go out
you no longer in doubt
cuz you got it from the right place
(the right place)
So you search your heart
which is a better start
then looking in the wrong place
(the wrong place)
Now when the lights go out
you no longer in doubt
cuz you got it from the right place
(the right place)

Desolate

Cornered in the raw and empty--

Desolation-deserts sand filled hand-

Blanket of alibaster granules-

Grainy reminders of the Mojave-most grand;

Thirst-parched-mouth dried-

Heat dehydrated-hallucination---

A mirage coiled with a bent palm--

An oasis? -No-just my imagination;

Camels carry cargo-lumping along-

Tired in their long hemp gowns-

Sweat mired upon their tired brow-

Ah-the desert-steeped in light browns;

It makes no friends of anyone--

But does take away ones very breath-

Crossing this Hell Hole of endless vacuity-

Too soon-brings about dried death;

To An Old Mate

Old Mate! In the gusty old weather,
When our hopes and our troubles were new,
In the years spent in wearing out leather,
I found you unselfish and true --
I have gathered these verses together
For the sake of our friendship and you.

You may think for awhile, and with reason,
Though still with a kindly regret,
That I've left it full late in the season
To prove I remember you yet;
But you'll never judge me by their treason
Who profit by friends -- and forget.

I remember, Old Man, I remember --
The tracks that we followed are clear --
The jovial last nights of December,
The solemn first days of the year,
Long tramps through the clearings and timber,
Short partings on platform and pier.

I can still feel the spirit that bore us,
And often the old stars will shine --
I remember the last spree in chorus
For the sake of that other Lang Syne,
When the tracks lay divided before us,
Your path through the future and mine.

Through the frost-wind that cut like whip-lashes,
Through the ever-blind haze of the drought --
And in fancy at times by the flashes
Of light in the darkness of doubt --
I have followed the tent poles and ashes
Of camps that we moved further out.

You will find in these pages a trace of
That side of our past which was bright,
And recognise sometimes the face of
A friend who has dropped out of sight --
I send them along in the place of
The letters I promised to write.

SOLDIER FOR THE LORD

I'm a soldier for the Lord
Who's been up and who's been down
Though while on the battlefield
I have never turned around.

I face more than flesh and blood
With the Devil's evil hoard.
But they shall not steal my soul
For I swing my Lord's swift sword.

I wear all of God's armor
With helmet, breastplate and shield.
As Satan's arrows fly by
From his archers of the field.

The Devil casts his dark net
Over any he may charm.
He'll lead them from salvation
With his hands upon their arm.

I battle evil daily
And I pray that you'll join me.
We're not alone in this world
For we're loved and watched by Thee.

I Search the Light

I search the light
Please tell me someone
Where it can be found
The light that make me feel
In the heaven and can heel
My soul wounds that have pain
The light that enlighten me
With spiritual depth and peace
Of mind soul and inner feel
The light that reach the darken
World of ignorance and cruelties
To make the world a bunch of flowers
With untouched beauty and fragrance
I search the light
To enlighten the days of peace
I search the light the true light
Please tell me someone who can see

Waking Up At 3: 19 A.m.

hungry and thirsty
i am awakened
i switch on the light
and look at my watch
it is 3: 19 a.m and i
am feeling the
unholiness of the hour

hungry and thirsty
i look for food and water

for how long shall i conceal
the truth of my hunger and thirst?

it is not the water and the
sandwich
it is my soul
hungry and thirsty for
God

deep within i am moving
away
like a ship in the middle
of a storm
yet not wanting an anchor
not wanting an island
even a shadow
of the shore

for when will this hunger
and thirst stop
i do not not really know
perhaps
God shall soon
tell me

again about Job.
