Until You Were Gone
On this journey
of lifes' secrets
a stain-glass window
cracked.
Dreams were shattered.
I grasped for
your hand, but
it kept slipping away
The winds of
life kept howling
jerking at you until
you were gone.

LIFES' WILDERNESS

Many
thorns
along

Leaving
behind
a veil

Tangled
after
thoughts
of you.
Leaves

Causing

A Stain Glass Window
A stained glass
window once
cracked
remained so for
years.
Still beautiful
but with a small
crack.
Yesterday an
explosion
happened.
The glass came
crashing
down around my
feet.
Shards were lying
everywhere.
trying to replace
as new.
I finially realize
is unthinkable.

The winds

Blowing
them in

Filling
my heart

Promises

tomorrow.
This
heart
began to
surrender.

Our Bond Of Love
Traveling

Branches

Tangled in

Leaving

Finally I
come upon

The sun

flowers in

An amazing

I touch
your face
clasp your

Our bond

Sometimes!
Sometimes!
I would love to
wake up
feel your warm
body
lying close to
mine,
listen to you
softly breathing.
Sometimes!
share a cup of
coffee
perhaps a biscuit
chat about the
days events.
Hold your hand
stroll by the lake
watch boats
entering and
leaving the harbor.
Mother duck protecting
her babies as they
swim by.
Sometimes!
sit with you in
the pale moonlight
reflecting on our
life together.
enjoying the moment
sharing dreams.

Come My Butterfly
Come!
my butterfly
spread
your colorful
wings
fly
to me.
light on
my
flower petal
let us
bathe
in the
nectar.
Come!
my butterfly
let us
share
dreams
until they
become
one.

Can I Forget You?
When I can no longer
depend on my muse
to guide heart and hand.
Pen and paper lying
beside me, not a word
forth coming.
Paper turning yellow
with age, my eyes close
for the last time, I
breathe my final breath
can I forget you?

Our Baby
A young bud yawns,
opens her eyes, wakes up
from her long nap, looks around
to greet the world in awe.
She must be nourished
daily for her petals to
unfold and share her beauty, glow
in the heart of her gardner

The Case Of The Window Pain
an astute answer
discerning shrewd
would surely mention
this wit must be
personification
of a window pane
as for the window pain
perhaps the window is shamed
perhaps the window is dirty
as for the window pain
perhaps the glass is cracked
small large cracks streaked
as for the window pain
perhaps cricket ball punctured
victim of circle game holed
as for the window pain
perhaps the window is broken
glass shards bear crime witness
as for the window pain
perhaps window frame rots
an old window in house derelict
as for the window pain
perhaps the window witnesses
child abuse domestic scenes violent

The Secret of the Rose
Rose, a
symbol of
beauty, purity,
power, excellence.
An emblem
of silence,
a tear dropped
brought
her into
existence
Becoming
a lovely lady
remaining closed
around the
heart, preventing
distress
a rare flower.

Still Slipping Away
Ships leaving the
port
destined for
foreign waters,
fearful to tread
unknown territory.
Confidence
slipping away.
A lovely blossom
in full bloom,
heat scorching
the petals
lets go of the
stem.
Gradually
slipping away.
A true love
once flourished,
in the passion
of the sun,
cools with the
evening breeze.
Emotions
slipping away.
