My Illusive Dreams
My illusive dreams
hold me captive
refusing to
surrender
they continue a
haunting refrain
as I linger in
their presence.
In my imagination
you are ever
present
encouraging,
carressing,
comforting me.
Like my constant
shadow
ever walking beside
me
hovering over my
image.

From Afar
If I cannot see you from afar
Look into your eyes, that hint of depth
Hidden inside
If I cannot hear you from afar
Whisper in my ear, rest assured that
You are near
And I know not what its like
The aforementioned
For the distance between us
As are the stars, I only have you
In my imagination
In my imagination
Just to love you
From afar
If I cannot kiss you from afar
Press against your lips, taste the
Sweetness of your breath
If I cannot touch you from afar
Hold you in my arms, keep you warm
And safe from harm
Though our circumstances
Cause separation
In the absence
Theres a presence in my heart
I will surrender, Ill surrender to my
Quiet contemplation
My quiet contemplation
Ill just, Ill just love you
From afar
There must be a better way
A better way of passing the time
cause I cant seem to get her out
Get her out of my mind

Comforting To Know
(Carly Simon)
When the heart of the hundred acre wood is beating
And time is passing through
There's a shadow looking like a rainbows halo
And there I'm resembling you
More than fame
A name on a tree
More than power or might
Sweeter than the treats of a honey bee
I'll be here through the night
It's comforting to know
It's comforting to know
Silent as the moon at dawn
Soothing as a bed filled with hay
Strong as a hero in the land of old
I'll be here through the day
It's comforting to know
It's comforting to know
Greyer than gloom on a rainy afternoon
Sadder than being sorry for me
Finer than finding my tail again
I'll be here for all of thee
It's comforting to know
It's comforting to know
You only get a few good friends in this life
Who are devoted and true
And right here in this now and near
It's clear that it's all of you
I'll find you when you're hard to see
I'll look for you everywhere
You'll know just how I'm feeling when
I show you that I care
It's comforting to know
It's so comforting to know

On My Way
With no shadow and no image,
I wonder on my way,
a figment of someone’s imagination
that disappears in the dawning light.
Still I wander on my way
looking for somewhere to settle,
always looking, and never finding
that place to settle down
where I can rest forever
until my time comes.
Still I wander on my way
with hope that one day
my restless wanderings
will finally be through.
If you see me,
I will be thought of as a dream
or a figment of your imagination
as I have no shadow and no image
to test the light of day.

To Me His Presence Is A Mystery
When havoc and disaster came my way
upon a tranquil sunny summer day
I had blamed God for being absent,
of my accusation He was innocent;
He is present in a world of iniquity
and to me His presence is a mystery.
I looked for God, Him I did not see,
His image, His presence eluded me
but I found His tracks everywhere,
in everything lovely His hand was there;
He is present in a world of iniquity
and to me His presence is a mystery
There was great beauty in a lone thrush
singing all the world to a holy hush,
the pattering rain brought along new birth
while He continually blessed the earth;
He is present in a world of iniquity
and to me His presence is a mystery.

My Eternal Love
The winds of
time
caught your
sweet words
Continue to
blow them in
my breeze.
Etching them
on the pallet
of my heart.
Oh face of
yesterday.
My shadow so
near
lingering so
close
Your presence
ever hovering
making me feel
so secure.
Oh face of
yesterday
my eternal love.

On My Shadow's Head
You talk about law
You talk about fate
You talk about money
And finally hate
You're bringing me up
You're spinning me round
And I'm dancing now and you're shouting
at me from the crowd
You talk about wars
You talk to the stars
You cry with my soul
From a window with bars
You spirit me out you follow me home
You're walking on my shadow's head
I'm never alone
You martyr the good
Find food for the weak
You nourish the fool
With the wisdom you speak
You're haunting the man
Who shows no remorse
You're walking on my shadow's head
And changing my course
You talk about wars
You talk to the stars
You cry with my soul
From a window with bars
You spirit me out you follow me home
You're walking on my shadow's head
I'm never alone
You mock the sinner
Who's back of the street
Not convinced by his lies
You attack him in sleep
Then you punish the child
Years after the deed
You're walking on my shadow's head
So I never cheat
You talk about wars
You talk to the stars
You cry with my soul
From a window with bars
You spirit me out you follow me home
You're walking on my shadow's head
I'm never alone
You martyr the good
Find food for the weak
You nourish the fool
With the wisdom you speak
You're haunting the man
Who shows no remorse
You're walking on my shadow's head
And changing my course
I thought I could handle myself, but you
raised the alarm.
I was driven by ancient forces, and you
were always with me -
Breathing deeply, laughing freely, beating
evil.
And for ever I can hear and see you,
staring into the eyes of your endless faces
Never looking for escape, just a new shape
Still talking, still talking
Walking on my shadow's head
I will see you when we're all dead
Walking on my shadow's head.
Still talking
Walking on my shadow's head

Do Not Accept
Do not accept these rains that come too late.
Better to linger. Make your pain
An image of the desert. Say it's said
And do not look to the west. Refuse
To surrender. Try this year too
To live alone in the long summer,
Eat your drying bread, refrain
From tears. And do not learn from
Experience. Take as an example my youth,
My return late at night, what has been written
In the rain of yesteryear. It makes no difference
Now. See your events as my events.
Everything will be as before: Abraham will again
Be Abram. Sarah will be Sarai.

Memory Lane
Do you ever hear a haunting refrain,
Which takes you back to that moment again,
When memories flow and scenes are set,
And you, once more, relive the time you met.
How perfect, were those days back then,
Those days of romance, and the instant, when
Love hit you with a painful jolt,
And exquisite pain, you didn't want to halt,
And playing along was a haunting refrain,
So let it now take you, down memory lane.

Lord Hold My Hand
Precious Lord, take my hand,
Lead me on, let me stand,
I am tired, I am weak, I am worn;
Through the storm, through the night,
Lead me on to the light:
Refrain
Take my hand, precious Lord,
Lead me home.
When my way grows drear,
Precious Lord, linger near,
When my life is almost gone,
Hear my cry, hear my call,
Hold my hand lest I fall:
Refrain
When the darkness appears
And the night draws near,
And the day is past and gone,
At the river I stand,
Guide my feet, hold my hand:
Refrain

You Go To My Head
You go to my head and you linger like a haunting refrain
And I find you spinning round in my
Brain
Like the bubbles in a glass of champagne
You go to my head like a sip of sparkling burgundy brew
And I find the very mention of you
Like the kicker in a julep or two
The thrill of the thought that
You might give a thought to my plea
Cast a spell over me
Still I say to myself get a hold of
Yourself
Cant you see that it never can be
You go to my head with a smile that makes my temperature
Rise
Like a summer with a thousand julies
You intoxicate my soul with your eyes
Though Im certain
That this heart of mine
Hasnt a ghost of a chance in this crazy romance
You go to my head
You go to

Wishful Dreams
In dreams persistently you are
A present vision, ever haunting
At night like a brilliant distant star
The sight of you fills me with longing.
You call my name there in my dreams
Embraced I am in fleeting shadows
You hold my hand like fading moonbeams
But you're not there in my tomorrows.
If life could be lived in wishful dreams
No waking up in the brightness of sun
Together we will be forever it seems
Of days and of parting... there will be none.

A Certain Someone
I see us walking hand in hand together
in every book I read and film I see,
but in reality, you are never near.
If I close my eyes, I can see us together
arm in arm and so much in love.
However, when I open them again
I realise it is only in my imagination
and you are never here with me.
Everyone has a certain someone
and I feel you are the one for me,
but waking up from my dreams
you are never anywhere to be seen.
When my dreams finally become reality,
everyone will be able to see
you and me walking together forever.
Until that day comes along
my arms will reach out in dreams,
for in that world you are mine
and loneliness is left far behind.
Tomorrow is another day of dreams
and longings over you.
Always just hoping I will wake up
and you will be here with me.

Surrender
Will you tell me
All your secrets
Could you really be sincere
Whisper all your inhibitions
The things you most fear
Dont turn away
I want to get to know you in the worst, worst way
Come back baby come back
Come back baby come back
Come back baby come back
Surrender su-su-surrender to me
Surrender su-su-su-su-surrender
Surrender su-su-surrender to me
Surrender su-su-su-su-surrender
Will you show me
All your treasures
That wich is most near and dear
Share with me your
Prized possessions
Not just some souvenirs
Dont be afraid
A little tiny bit can go a long long way
Come back baby come back
Come back baby come back
Come back baby come back
Surrender su-su-surrender to me
Surrender su-su-su-su-surrender
Surrender su-su-surrender to me
Surrender su-su-su-su-surrender

Pure Imagination
Come with me and you'll be
In a world of pure imagination
Take a look and you'll see
Into your imagination
We'll begin with a spin
Trav'ling in the world of my creation
What we'll see will defy
Explanation
{Refrain}
If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Want to change the world, there's nothing to it
There is no life I know
To compare with pure imagination
Living there, you'll be free
If you truly wish to be
{Refrain}
There is no life I know
To compare with pure imagination
Living there, you'll be free
If you truly wish to be

Never Surrender
Come on!
Come on!
Come on!
Come on!
Praying for the good times
So long to the bad times
Baby are you ready here we go!
Turn you up there's no limit
As long as you're in it
Give it all you got just let it show
Are you in for the fast ride
I'll take you out on the wildside
Are you in for the fast ride
Living life on the faultline
Are you in for the fast ride
I'll take you out on the wildside
Are you in for the fast ride
Do it, do it, you can do it
Never ever never ever surrender
Let all your dreams come true
Never ever never ever surrender
We will make it through
Never ever never ever surrender
If you want it too
It's all up to you, don't ever surrender!
Oh yeah - Never surrender
You've got the power
It's yours to devour
Go where you have never been before
Never stop when you're winning
It's only beginning
You don't have to fake it anymore
Are you in for the fast ride
I'll take you out on the wildside
Are you in for the fast ride
Living life on the faultline
Are you in for the fast ride
I'll take you out on the wildside
Are you in for the fast ride
Do it, do it, you can do it
Never ever never ever surrender
Let all your dreams come true
Never ever never ever surrender
We will make it through
Never ever never ever surrender
If you want it too
It's all up to you, don't ever surrender!
Never surrender!
Never surrender!
Do it, do it !
You can do it!
Never ever never ever surrender
Let all your dreams come true
Never ever never ever surrender
We will make it through
Never ever never ever surrender
If you want it too
It's all up to you, don't ever surrender!
You don't have to fake it anymore
You'll never surrender !

Haunting
(carly simon)
Theres always someone haunting someone - haunting someone
Like an echo in the wind leaves, unreconciled -
Waiting to be picked up and bounced down again on
Listeners ears
Theres always someone haunting someone - haunting someone
And you know who I am
Though I never leave my name or number
Im locked inside of you so it doesnt matter
Theres always someone haunting someone - haunting someone
And you know who I am
Though I never leave my name or number
Im locked inside of you so it doesnt matter
Theres always someone haunting someone - haunting someone
And I cant sleep easy
cause Im afraid of dreaming
And then the memory of the dream
Theres always someone haunting someone
Haunting someone
Haunting someone
