Zannat...heaven

Zannat* here, hell here, life here
With joy and happiness to be spent dear
Why to cry and resent for bad luck?
Why to lament and curse when simply struck?

My zannat* is at home
Stands at door and welcome
Ushers me inside and offers comfort
I have reached the bay with her support

She is not only beautiful
But kind at heart and successful
In her work she is really wonderful
With out I could have been zero or half full

I speak nothing in her praise
But gracefully acknowledge on face
"I would have been no where dear"
I live with happiness without any fear

When you are around
Joy and happiness is found
Moon and stars may shine in their place
I have nothing look at you and chase

My universe is here
I do nothing which may cause her to shed tear
Yet sometimes I loose sight of vision
That leads to some bitterness and confusion

I have no regret being ordinary man
She is no less than heavenly woman
What has she gained from me as her man?
I think and probably no answer she can

It will be too much if I say some more words
But it will be ungrateful of me if my words are not heard
I may not say plainly on her face acknowledge
She is always there in my sacred heart temple as inscribed page

She has never uttered a word in desperation
Maintained all time calm with beautiful relation
All women are same with gifted heart
Only we need to develop vision and see it as heavenly art

* Zannat…. heaven

Happy and nice moments

"You have to terminate pregnancy"
"I know you may have difficulty"
"But believe me it is my helplessness"
I won't be comfortable at all in this case"

He was pleading before me
With both hands and trying to get free
I was just watching his facial expression
He was suffering from trauma under guilty admission

I tried to read more about his mind
"Dear you were so eager this before and very kind"
We did develop intimate relation with consent
The child may be coming as gift and heavenly sent

"You won't know the consequences"
"We may have to witness worst ever chances"
He was becoming vocal to get out as fast as possible
I knew know why he was so desperate to come out of trouble?

He was facing complete boycott from family
Previously he had accepted it readily
I was dreaming heaven and moon within sight
Here he was dashing all my hopes and proving not right

I heard him patiently and refused to surrender
Even though we both had reason to differ
I failed to understand reason behind his offer
It was totally out of phase and I opted out to suffer

I used to feel motherhood at each moment
It is the only phase that mothers resent
Even if to phase pregnancy termination
As it stands golden opportunity for laying foundation

Today I am mother of loving child
So much happy in love and going blind
Child is everything to me as priceless
What else or happiness I have to express on face?

I feel entire world is t my feet
I have reason to feel and greet
All those people who stood with it
I have firm ground now to stand with feet

I Wonder Where My Papa Is?

I wonder where my papa is,
Oh, where could he have gone,
I wonder why he does not come
And see his Lilly Long.
He would come and sit by me
When the fever burnt my brow,
I wonder where my papa is,
For he comes not near me now.

I hear no more the foot pace
In the hall by my door,
Where he would gently, gently tread
Upon the oaken floor.
His place is vacant by the hearth,
There stands his easy chair;
I hear no more his loving voice
Raising the evening prayer.

The last time I saw my papa dear
Was just five days ago,
He took me in his arms and said,
"You are getting better slow,
Thank God, my little Lilly pet
Will soon be well again,
And run about the house and play
With little Nettie Lane."

I wonder where my papa is,
Oh, where could he have gone,
It cannot be he has forgotten
His little Lilly Long.
No, he never would have left me
And mamma without aid;
I fear my papa has fallen
A victim of the "plague."

The mother listened to her child,
Her heart filled with pain
To hear her loved one mourn for him
Who would never come again.
Tears were falling from her eyes,
From her bossom heaved a sigh;
Little Lilly asked in wonder,
"Mamma dear, what makes you cry?"

"Dearest Lilly must I tell you
That your papa is no more,
That he cannot come and see you
And caress you as of yore.
He has gone to live with Jesus,
In the heavenly home above,
Where are dwelling the blessed
In God's everlasting love."

Lilly listened to her mother,
She uttered not a sound,
O'er her little pale cheeks softly
Tears began to trinkle down;
At last she sweetly murmured,
"Mamma dear, you and I
Must live so we can meet papa
In Heaven, by and by."

"Yes, my child," the mother answered,
"Your words are very true,
While we live on earth we should keep
The heavenly land in view;
Then bright on earth will be our future,
Bright as a shining star;
We will live in love together,
Till we reach that home afar."

It fascinates me

It fascinates me always
Whenever see the woman on the way
While carrying the child in both the hands
I dream about happy world and dreamland

Is this the world so cheerful?
The women make it even more beautiful
"For every success man find woman"
So much is the contribution for man

Especially females are kind and caring
Where as man are adventurous and daring
Yes he finds heavenly refuge at home
Where she awaits for him to welcome

I have advocated always and still do
As they are capable of and very true
To the cause and dedication
So as to cement the bond and relation

Child adds beauty to existing relation
There is so much joy with elevation
It has something to do with tension free zone
Person forgets everything when outside work is done

Can you see there joy on her face?
Who can evaluate the quantum of happiness?
You pay millions but get nothing in return
Such is the role of woman in turn

I loved this picture not because of some attachment
But you can see natural expression at right moment
The child provides us the clue as to how she must be respected?

I can see the joy on her face
As there is nothing else to trace
She has complete control over the moment
As if the chance is heavenly sent

I know this is passing reference
Yet it is our future with nice presence
We may be given certain additional responsibility
But that all can be left to the grace of almighty

Paths Of Happiness

If the path is beautiful, check where it leads?
But if the destination is beautiful-
Don’t worry about the hardships, keep moving.

There is no path that leads to happiness;
But happiness itself is the only path, goes every where.
Continuous efforts- not strength or intelligence, fetches happiness.

Happiness and excuses do not work together,
If we think about excuses, forget about happiness;
And if we want happiness, forget excuses.

Money can’t buy happiness,
But it is less painful to cry in a palace, than in a hut:
So don’t insult happy moments.

Happiness is like sunlight,
It shines in the corner of the heart,
And offer every morning fresh hopes.

It is very difficult to give happiness,
But try to at least erase somebody’s sorrow,
Like a good eraser.

Whenever offered with half glass of milk,
Call it half full and not half empty,
Happiness should be enjoyed with what we have,
But not reject due to what we do not have.

Happiness without positive attitude is merely destiny,
But happiness with a positive attitude is called, achievement;
So try to be a happy achiever in life.

Soft speech, clean heart, calm eyes, strong hand, focused mind:
And firm determination, with God’s love and blessings,
Always make us a happy winner, so always be a happy winner.

The most happiest man.......

Happiness is the most important
thing for you to achieve in your life
Happiness can not be gained
It is earned by your heart
Happiness can be found
When you are close to God and obeying his words
Happiness can be found
When you show your kindness to others
Happiness can be found
When you are nice to those you hate
Happiness can be found
When you help others
Happiness are the love and kindness
And learn to enjoy what ever comes along
Happiness is not far away from you
It is close to you heart
Happiness is serving God for all eternity
and once you fulfilled your wish
then you are the most happiest man.

Lovely life

I would definitely prefer and ask Almighty
Why on one side love and other side pity?
Why we should be sent to from holy land?
Get into acts and perform with dirty hand

Were we not welcome there and dear to you?
Had we chosen as target lost grace from thou?
All your messages, words preach and say
I am almost here to guide and lead your way

Have we to expose ourselves to testing ground?
Lost in crowd forever and not easily to be found
We may loose peace and beautiful heavenly sound
Even though human being, roam as vultures around

You know it well we may forget our holy mission
We will commit sin and come to you for admission
No remorse at heart but to show it as confusion
In search of goal but without idea or divine vision

You generally preach we are God’s children
Take everybody’s care in sacred heaven
Beautiful trees laden with fruits in garden
What on earth we will achieve or when?

We may not be proved as worthy disciples
Sometimes may err or compromise the principles
Temptation may run high at every moment
Time may not be left to think over or lament

Nothing seems so unique and common in nature
Hand may have palm but with different fingers
Colour or cast faith and belief simply different
Apprehension and mistrust look certainly apparent

It is sailing through rough weather
Storms struck with no means to wither
How to save self and still be so near
No to show displeasure or speak words to hear

Please fill our hearts with love and kindness
Inject ideas to lead life without blindness
Certainly we will prove our worth or credibility
Lovely life without any provocation or hostility

A Domestic Tragedy

Clorinda met me on the way
As I came from the train;
Her face was anything but gay,
In fact, suggested pain.
"Oh hubby, hubby dear!" she cried,
"I've awful news to tell. . . ."
"What is it, darling?" I replied;
"Your mother -- is she well?"

"Oh no! oh no! it is not that,
It's something else," she wailed,
My heart was beating pit-a-pat,
My ruddy visage paled.
Like lightning flash in heaven's dome
The fear within me woke:
"Don't say," I cried, "our little home
Has all gone up in smoke!"

She shook her head. Oh, swift I clasped
And held her to my breast;
"The children! Tell me quick," I gasped,
"Believe me, it is best."
Then, then she spoke; 'mid sobs I caught
These words of woe divine:
"It's coo-coo-cook has gone and bought
A new hat just like mine."

Love, your happiness is my happiness.....

My life's greatest happiness is to be convinced my love to you
I am grateful to you for making me happy through out my life
I have never known love until I met you and your love touched
my heart and brought so much happiness in me
Today, you made me to see everything in a new life and you
want me to know how those happiness could make me happy
I found my happiness is to love you and to be loved from you
Sometime, I miss you so much and your absence is very painful
But when I carry your heart within me then my happiness is shining
When I am sad then your sweet words brings me happiness
and my soul get enough strength when it join your heart
When my heart wants to know the meaning of ' love'
then your love is making me to believe the truth of love
Without you there is no happiness in my life and with you
my life is full of hopes and my dream will come true
When you hold me in your arms then my heart
never want to let me go because your happiness is
my happiness. I love you so much my love.

The Gift

She paces
By his side
On a quiet street,
Leafy and wide.
The evening air is balmy
And a golden half moon
Of August
Hangs high
In the sky.

"How beautiful is the Moon",
She says,
"Brighter than in June.
"A pity it is not full tonight".

"You know",
He tells her smiling,
"This thing may sound
Really puzzling,
But,
The part missing
From the Moon,
Is actually hidden
In a lagoon.
Nevertheless,
I offer it to you as a gift,
Before the scene
Would alter and shift,
And for good measure,
Fortune and luck,
I will pluck
For you
The other half, too,
So that you will possess
And own quite soon
The complete moon".

"Oh, no", she says,
"I don't want the moon,
Neither half,
Nor the whole of it,
I don't want it soon
Nor in next June.
Not even a small part.
Just give me, instead,
Your uncut heart".

The Blind Girl

Kind Christians, pray list to me,
And I'll relate a sad story,
Concerning a little blind girl, only nine years of age,
Who lived with her father in a lonely cottage.

Poor girl, she had never seen the blessed light of day,
Nor the beautiful fields of corn and hay,
Nor the sparrows, that lifted their heads at early morn
To bright Sol that does the hills adorn.

And near the cottage door there was an elm tree;
But that stunted elm tree she never did see,
Yet her little heart sometimes felt gay
As she listened to the thrushes that warbled the live-long day.

And she would talk to the wren when alone,
And to the wren she would her loneliness bemoan,
And say, "Dear little wren, come again to-morrow;
Now be sure and come, your singing will chase away my sorrow."

She was motherless, but she had a drunken father,
Who in his savage moods drank all he could gather,
And would often cruelly beat her until she would cry,
"Dear father, if you beat me I will surely die."

She spent the days in getting ready her father's food,
Which was truly for her drunken father's good;
But one night he came home, reeling drunk,
And the poor child's heart with fear sunk;

And he cried, "You were at the door when I came up the lane;
Take that, you good-for-nothing slut; you're to blame
For not having my supper ready; you will find
That's no excuse, Sarah, because you are blind."

And with a stick he struck her as he spoke
Across the shoulders, until the stick almost broke;
Crying aloud, "I'll teach you better, you little sneak;"
And with the beating, Sarah's heart was like to break.

Poor little Sarah had never seen the snow;
She knew it was beautiful white, some children told her so;
And in December, when the snow began to fall,
She would go to the door and make a snowball.

One day she'd been very cheerless and alone,
Poor child, and so cold, almost chilled to the bone;
For her father had spent his wages in drink,
And for want of fire she was almost at death's brink.

Her face was pinched with hunger but she never complained,
And her little feet with cold were chilblained,
And her father that day had not come home for dinner,
And the dull grey sky was all of a shimmer.

So poor Sarah was very sick when her father came home;
So bad, little dear, that she did sigh and moan,
And when her father saw her in bed
He was heart-stricken with fear and dread.

So within a few days poor Sarah did die,
And for the loss of Sarah the drunken father did cry,
So the loss of his child soon converted him
From drinking either whiskey, rum or gin.

Walk with me

"Please, can you not walk with me"?
"Can you not share my burden and make me free"?
She was almost in tears and looked at my face
I had seen gradual change in her phase by phase

She was, not arrogant, but intoxicated by beauty
Almost blinded by money, power and dominant personality
No doubt she belonged to very much affluent family
But as an ordinary proud man I lived too very happily

We were almost drawn by qualities in contrast
Yet with super performance and influence to last
On people's mind with almost magic spell
She was associated with theatre and performing well

I am writer of original class and alone
She has her own murky world and adored by precious stones
I go with simple words and make honorable position
She goes like thunder storm with brain and beauty composition

We have never demanded anything to compromise
On the contrary struck with position and promises
She was all out for me and me totally for her
To stand by in all the situation and face together

I think she had realized about the short duration
Beautiful image and money should not come in the way of relation
With this firmness in mind she uttered "please"
I want your hand and make me at ease

I had waited all along for such event
This was one of the happiest moments
One of the beautiful figures on my side forever
I had to take many things into consideration however

I took split second decision and looked ahead
My eyes reassured her and took the lead
"You are my queen and jewel in crown"
Move few steps with me and make it known

"She may be happiest person" I thought
The happiness and joy was definitely brought
I failed to under why did she take long time?
Where as I was for her and had willingness any time

An incomplete soul of a woman

Often you have called me
"Complete"
Often you have called me
"A full woman"
And today you ask me
What in life I lack?
Love…
If you had ever guessed
You would have known
How very "incomplete" I am.
Half my life I have spent
Waiting for you....
Searching for you...
In every passing strangers eyes.
Now when you finally are here
You stand a stranger
Closest to the heart,
Like the shadow of the dusk
Very much my own,
Yet distant, like a dream.
I know you are mine
Just as am i
solely yours,
Yet will always stand apart as
"we" are nobodies nobody.
The feeling is so pure,
Pristine like the dawn
And its dew.
Yet wrapped in ugly sheets of guilt
it will always lie buried
in deep caverns of shame.
And like thieves two,
We will always hide,
What is so beautiful,
So serene, so true.
I am not complete…
How can i?
When I am destined to live
This life with you
Yet without you.
I am not a full woman…
How can i?
When I am to wither away and die..
Somewhere very close to you
Yet far away from your sight.
Yes, I will always remain
"in-complete".
An incomplete soul of a woman.

Henry Van Dyke

New Year's Eve

I

The other night I had a dream, most clear
And comforting, complete
In every line, a crystal sphere,
And full of intimate and secret cheer.
Therefore I will repeat
That vision, dearest heart, to you,
As of a thing not feigned, but very true,
Yes, true as ever in my life befell;
And you, perhaps, can tell
Whether my dream was really sad or sweet.

II

The shadows flecked the elm-embowered street
I knew so well, long, long ago;
And on the pillared porch where Marguerite
Had sat with me, the moonlight lay like snow.
But she, my comrade and my friend of youth,
Most gaily wise,
Most innocently loved, --
She of the blue-grey eyes
That ever smiled and ever spoke the truth, --
From that familiar dwelling, where she moved
Like mirth incarnate in the years before,
Had gone into the hidden house of Death.
I thought the garden wore
White mourning for her blessed innocence,
And the syringa's breath
Came from the corner by the fence,
Where she had made her rustic seat,
With fragrance passionate, intense,
As if it breathed a sigh for Marguerite.
My heart was heavy with a sense
Of something good forever gone. I sought
Vainly for some consoling thought,
Some comfortable word that I could say
To the sad father, whom I visited again
For the first time since she had gone away.
The bell rang shrill and lonely, -- then
The door was opened, and I sent my name
To him, -- but ah! 't was Marguerite who came!

There in the dear old dusky room she stood
Beneath the lamp, just as she used to stand,
In tender mocking mood.
"You did not ask for me," she said,
"And so I will not let you take my hand;
"But I must hear what secret talk you planned
"With father. Come, my friend, be good,
"And tell me your affairs of state:
"Why you have stayed away and made me wait
"So long. Sit down beside me here, --
"And, do you know, it seemed a year
"Since we have talked together, -- why so late?"

Amazed, incredulous, confused with joy
I hardly dared to show,
And stammering like a boy,
I took the place she showed me at her side;
And then the talk flowed on with brimming tide
Through the still night,
While she with influence light
Controlled it, as the moon the flood.
She knew where I had been, what I had done,
What work was planned, and what begun;
My troubles, failures, fears she understood,
And touched them with a heart so kind,
That every care was melted from my mind,
And every hope grew bright,
And life seemed moving on to happy ends.
(Ah, what self-beggared fool was he
That said a woman cannot be
The very best of friends?)
Then there were memories of old times,
Recalled with many a gentle jest;
And at the last she brought the book of rhymes
We made together, trying to translate
The Songs of Heine (hers were always best).
"Now come," she said,
"To-night we will collaborate
"Again; I'll put you to the test.
"Here's one I never found the way to do, --
"The simplest are the hardest ones, you know, --
"I give this song to you."
And then she read:
Mein kind, wir waren Kinder,
Zei Kinder, jung und froh.

* * * * * * * * * *

But all the while a silent question stirred
Within me, though I dared not speak the word:
"Is it herself, and is she truly here,
"And was I dreaming when I heard
"That she was dead last year?
"Or was it true, and is she but a shade
"Who brings a fleeting joy to eye and ear,
"Cold though so kind, and will she gently fade
"When her sweet ghostly part is played
"And the light-curtain falls at dawn of day?"

But while my heart was troubled by this fear
So deeply that I could not speak it out,
Lest all my happiness should disappear,
I thought me of a cunning way
To hide the question and dissolve the doubt.
"Will you not give me now your hand,
"Dear Marguerite," I asked, "to touch and hold,
"That by this token I may understand
"You are the same true friend you were of old?"
She answered with a smile so bright and calm
It seemed as if I saw new stars arise
In the deep heaven of her eyes;
And smiling so, she laid her palm
In mine. Dear God, it was not cold
But warm with vital heat!
"You live!" I cried, "you live, dear Marguerite!"
Then I awoke; but strangely comforted,
Although I knew again that she was dead.

III

Yes, there's the dream! And was it sweet or sad?
Dear mistress of my waking and my sleep,
Present reward of all my heart's desire,
Watching with me beside the winter fire,
Interpret now this vision that I had.
But while you read the meaning, let me keep
The touch of you: for the Old Year with storm
Is passing through the midnight, and doth shake
The corners of the house, -- man oh! my heart would break
Unless both dreaming and awake
My hand could feel your hand was warm, warm, warm!

Her name

"Marieta, Mareita, I uttered her name"
I was half awake and felt little shame
She was only few days close
I had chance with few nice moments to choose

Very nice face and silent nature
She may be looking like moon for sure
I told about this aspect to her
She was elated and same thing told me later

She was all set for best drive
Shape the destiny and relive
I found her best of all
She was beautiful, elegant and tall

I saw her in full blossom
In such scene she was seen seldom
She was behind curtain
Just staring with one in pain

Her eyes spoke of everything
Whole world reflected in eye and spoke of something
I tried to deep below but got no where
She may not allow me to dare

Dear, you are best and intelligent
As divine rose and heavenly sent
I need your company and want to present
Before world with head down words bent

She is unsure of my proposal
But I hope it may be met with approval
She is all for me and I have read those signals
I hope to sail through without any troubles

Aradhana...Meditation

We pray the God for well being
Ask from heart a little favor to bring
Happiness in home and in life
No trouble whatsoever even if to walk on edge of knife

"Aradhna" is some kind of meditation or constant worshipping
Dedicated efforts to attain expertise with blessings
The result is forthcoming but after long years
Person shines with his achievements unbelievable to the ears

I have come across many friends who live respectably
Speak nothing about their specialty and lead honorably
They have made their course precisely set
They have no more desires form this world to get

Yet my dear "Aradhna"* is different from others
She has preferred isolation and so much liked by her
She wants no praise but like very much to stay indoors
For her life is like struggle and not less than wars

I can understand the sufferings she might have undergone
May be her past not allowing to forget the by gone
Time comes when person prefers to shut down all communication
Not severing contacts altogether but live barely on thin relation

I love that theory and try to close in to her heart
She is down to earth and stays calm with natural art
There is no show in her approach but only wisdom
Such a quality is seen rarely and witnessed seldom

I don't know why she preferred to be at my door
I am not that intelligent to pick her feeling and look poor
She keeps on telling about her being alone in crowd
I welcome her feeling but don't appreciate it loud

She has suffered at cruel hands and wants no more
I only admire her skill and honestly adore
She may not like more acquaintance or closeness
But yes she has appetite for good things to face

She is best suited to her name
She is above everything and free from blame
What else one gentle lady can expect as prize?
Name, fame, or both much to her surprise

The Divine Lullaby

I hear Thy voice, dear Lord;
I hear it by the stormy sea
When winter nights are black and wild,
And when, affright, I call to Thee;
It calms my fears and whispers me,
"Sleep well, my child."

I hear Thy voice, dear Lord,
In singing winds, in falling snow,
The curfew chimes, the midnight bell.
"Sleep well, my child," it murmurs low;
"The guardian angels come and go,--
O child, sleep well!"

I hear Thy voice, dear Lord,
Ay, though the singing winds be stilled,
Though hushed the tumult of the deep,
My fainting heart with anguish chilled
By Thy assuring tone is thrilled,--
"Fear not, and sleep!"

Speak on--speak on, dear Lord!
And when the last dread night is near,
With doubts and fears and terrors wild,
Oh, let my soul expiring hear
Only these words of heavenly cheer,
"Sleep well, my child!"

"What are the secrets and ways? "
I have no trademark or special key
I think of the same and always pray almighty

I have been named by parents
As is the tradition with some consent
Those babies are to be named after
For the identification and laughter

Babies are after al heavenly gift
Suddenly you find attitudinal change or shift
In a man or in entire family
They forget pain even easily

If they are made brand ambassadors
Half of the battles may be won with honor
There won't be any bitterness or bloodshed
As world is likely to be happily led

"Little smile is worth mullions"
Did you ever observe man returning to pavilion?
Dejected, defeated and above all fully grounded
Nothing seems to him more sounded

I have seen the beautiful smile on face
That has kept me away from mad chase
I find answer in lovely and carefree smile
It' worth and if you measure it meanwhile

How beautiful garden comes up on spring?
As if to remove all kind of unhappiness and bring
The pleasure for mankind in different style
That was miles away or simply filed

I am "hasmukh"* that means smiling man
So people otherwise may find chance to comment
To tease me in most elegant way not to offend
And remind me of the pleasure island

*Hasmukh…. Smiling man

Prayer Words

I took some of my prayer words back
I felt guilty for putting my interest at stake
Is that the correct logic or prayers are meant?
Will God listen to such request and relent?

I, for one, reserve the opinion
I may not get support from any of the companion
It may not find even favor
As prayers are restricted only to save honor

Why do I ask to fill my heart with mercy and kindness?
When I am fully blessed with happiness on y face
I still pretend to be ignorant before him and pray
As if He knows nothing and directs you a new way

Why do we pray for our happiness and others loss?
Is it not the insult to sacred place and holy cross?
I go to him with malicious intent
Instead ask for things and never regret or lament

Even one look in His eyes may send waves of sympathy
You may receive signals directly fro the almighty
You just read in the eyes and try to understand sufferings undergone
You will forget your own pain and stand like stone

Prayers are meant to purity soul and supplement it with more
Try to find out if something can still be explored
If you can’t feed the hungry and show little kindness
Don’t bother much but that thought itself will give happiness on face

Can we deny that he is only one to think of whole universe?
Who can go against His wish and negate verses?
It is all for us to follow and put into practice
Let it become daily routine till we face the demise

I just look at Him and seek no words
Ask him to allow me to go forward
I shall not regret for any outcome
His blessings will always be appreciated and welcomed
