Rain delay
Rain is uncertain and delayed,
Weather forecast and message relayed,
Days are very hot and in home stayed,
Gloomy picture and everybody dismayed,
Hot season with frequent power cuts,
No good service and “if” and “buts”
Sun rays direct in my holed huts,
No means but forced to stay puts,
Rain God is displeased with world,
Wastage of water more with relation cold,
Fight for water in many parts,
People store more and look so smart,
Whole world economy is in disarray,
If monsoon is delayed and little away,
Earth is torn apart with surface dry,
As if newly wed bride making cry,
If request to be made then with strong resolve,
No wastage of water with problem solve,
Stopping and storing efforts involve,
Not polluting it with chemical dissolve,
Ozone depletion may invite the trouble,
Many diseases with medicines incurable,
Unseasonable rains with devastating flood,
Destruction everywhere with spilling blood,
Stopping of water flow at dam’s site,
Inviting the wrath from local's fight,
Are we not depriving their statutory rights?
Deserting fields for proving the light
Why do we want to perish the mankind?
Unhygienic waste in water with method unkind,
Never in other countries violation of rules,
Buffalos and cows take bath with bulls,
High rise in temperature with heat waves,
Diseases many to spread and way paves,
Are we not digging our own grave?
Greed and lust and just to crave,
Sometimes in abundance and sometime scarce,
Tidal waves rise high and land coerced,
Houses washed and population flee,
Nature’s fury we understand but can’t see

Global Warming
Is global warming and on volcano?
Are the world leaders aware and know?
Do they know entire universe is on fire?
Industries and pollution sill they admire,
Weather change and unseasoned rains,
Flood’s havoc is worry main,
Everything to loose and nothing to gain,
All efforts nothing but going in vain
World’s largest nations flout the rules,
Advise other nations and look fools,
Unseasonable floods and rain in deserts,
They held meetings only for concerts,
Glaciers and drifting and melting,
Cold regions boil and are sweating,
Human survival is at stake,
People not bother and not awake,
Sea and oceans may swell,
Waves may sweep and dwell,
Shores may be wiped out and washed,
Destruction all over and fear unleashed,
Nothing will be left and saved,
Nature’s fury only paved,
Digging grave for self and others,
Who has time to think and bothers,
Forests are over and vanishing,
Green belt only in name and finishing,
Oil, gas, smoke polluting the air,
You will find children with white hair,
Diseases of several kinds and no cure,
Unnatural death is certain and for sure,
We displease the nature and invite wrath,
Inhaling poison and difficult breath,
One fifth of land will be submerged,
Sea will rise and can’t be caged,
Situation alarming and can’t be managed,
No solution in sight and steps not arranged,
Something to be done in earnestness,
Industries can thrive but with neatness,
Water can be used but with pureness,
Humans to be saved with equal fitness
Can we not be serious again?
Back to nature and energy regain,
Lovely fields and fresh air,
Will the efforts not be fair?

Monsoon Rains
The Monsoon rains have set at last,
A bit delayed than in the past!
The state is water-logged a lot;
The water-table, up somewhat!
No doubt, the rains are welcome but
Many have lost their lives and hut;
The torrent was sudden and big,
And left most people with no wig!
Many now suffer by the rains;
The water is from sky and drains;
It takes a month to settle down;
This is the scene in every town!
Yet, who does clean the cities’ dumps?
’Tis Nature cleaning dirt, clogs, sumps!
For, no one does this job so well,
Like rain from God that pours like hell!
Nevertheless, it does just good,
Though farmers lose their fields and food!
And roads and bridges get damaged,
They are the bad ones and the aged!
Thank God for Monsoon rains that came,
And give Him praises and not blame!
The world needs water that is fresh;
If not, no one can drink, refresh!
Oh, let the rains come in big way!
And let it rain by night and day!
Let’s face the strife those, come what may!
The Sun will shine when we make hay!

Water
Water, water, water everywher!
Water has no enemies but,
How many of us do have water?
The earth consists of 70% of water and,
Mankind is still thirsty of water;
Ladies and Gentlemen,
How many of us do have enough water?
The rightousness of mankind is still negative,
Many are those who control this water!
On this earth are many without water,
On this earth too are many in darkeness,
How sad it is to see many dying of thirst;
Water has no enemy at all but, mankind has! !
The problem lies in our own hands and,
I do rest my case.

High Water
Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
When the waters rose
In the darkness
In the wake of the endless flood
It flowed into our memory --
It flowed into our blood
When something broke the surface
Just to see the starry dome --
We still feel that relation
When the water takes us home
In the flying spray of the ocean
The water takes you home --
Springing from the weight
Of the mountains
Like the heart of the earth
Would burst
Flowing out from marble fountains
In the dreams of a desert thirst
Something swam through
The jungles
Where the mighty rivers roam --
Something breaks the silence
When the water takes you home
I hear the wordless voices
When the water takes me home --
Waves that crash on the shoreline
Torrents of tropical rain
Streaming down
Beyond our memory
Streaming down inside our veins
When something left the ocean
To crawl high above the foam --
We still feel that elation
When the water takes us home
In a driving rain of redemption
The water takes me home...

Save Water Save Life
'Water, water' asked soldier to another soldier
He was wounded and dying for the dropp of water
Shells were fired from all the direction
He was to be rescued first as humble action
Thank god the soldier was saved for timely action
We could see the happiness on his face as sweet reaction
He should have been no more on the battle field
Had he not been given dropp of water for ground held
Water is precious commodity now a day
We have not found any alternate way
Glaciers are melting and flooding the rivers
The sea level is increased by flooding of water
There is alarming situation in many parts
Either people vacate the areas and depart
Or stick to the areas and face the devastation
As they have stayed for ages in same station
Water harvesting is best solution for problem
In many cities water has been rationed to ward of trouble
Can you imagine costal areas suffer most?
To protect and provide water for big cities involve big cost
Yes precious lives are to be provided
With water and wastage is to be avoided
Not a dropp of water should go into drain
As we are mainly dependant on rain
Entire existence of human race is in jeopardy
We may have no other option then to pray only almighty
All sources might have then stand dried away or
Water might have been polluted in alarming way
Save water and save the race any where
Educate the people not to waste water and dare
As it may take their lives and put to more difficulties
Water may then be never had even if increased the capabilities
The sources are fast drying out
Some times there is excess and sometimes drought
Life battle is to be taken care of and fought
So the slogan 'save water, save life' is sought

Looking for Water
Still the leaves are spinning 'round
Take my hand as we go down, and down, and down
Looking for water
Well, our light's gone in a New York minute
Don't know about you, but my heart's not in it
(Looking, looking, looking)
I'm looking for water
I'm looking for water
(Looking, looking, looking)
I can't breathe the air, can't raise a fact
'Cause all we've got left is a beat in the night, and I'm
(Looking for water)
Looking for water
(Looking for water)
(Looking, looking)
Take my hand as we go down, and down
Leave it all behind, nothing could be found
(I'm, looking for water)
I'm looking for water
(Looking for water)
(Looking, looking)
(I, looking for water)
Looking everywhere
(Looking for water)
Looking here and there
(I'm looking for water)
I'm looking for water
(Looking for water)
(Looking, looking)
I can't live in this cage, I can't eat this candy
The edge of the earth to the spin in my head
The look in your eyes and never means never
The dawn's early light, baby, dark is forever
(Looking, looking)
(Looking, looking)
(Looking for water)
(Looking, looking)
I
(Looking for water)
(Looking for water)
(Looking, looking)
I
(Looking for water)
(Looking for water)
(Looking, looking)
I
(Looking for water)
(Looking for watter)
Looking, looking)
I
(Looking for water)
(Looking for watter)
Looking, looking)
I
(Looking for water)
(Looking for watter)

Is It a Dam or a Violent Sea? (Tungabadra-Andhra-India)
The waves were waltzing in the Dam
of Tungabadra, the vast sea to entice all eyes.
The people are fenced from touching the waves
as the yawning watery grave is lying in wait to devour,
sending these waves, the wicked fairies to lure
those who are bewitched by their charms.
The rays of the evening Sun made the watery surface gleaming!
I was catching the ebb and flow of the tides by a camera.
The flowing water in the canals,
the blooming heavens of the gardens,
the skating rush of water through the sluice gates
and the eateries along the mound nearby
are not drawing the crowds.
The people were watching the waves with wonder and calm.
Suddenly, a gust of wind blew off the waves to rise high
and leap over the fence to rinse us and my camera!
Oh, the marvel of Tungabadra has blessed me
to wake from the agony set in mind recently in public service
and sing about the drizzle flushing through the bamboo grove
and the setting Sun fainting over the watery surface far off!

Oh Rain Come Agian
Oh rain, oh rain, oh rain
Come again, come again
We are scorching in the summer
Come with sudden thunder
Don't just drizzle
Little and little
But come and pour
Plenty of water
The land is dry
Animals are making cry
Temperature crossed forty five
Bees are coming out of their hive
Without water land is hell
Plants have turned pale
Oh rain. Oh rain
Come again, come again
To turn landscape green
As it ever had been
Oh rain, por water
To make earth greener
More healthier and richer

Water Too Little Too Much Drought Or Flood?
too much water
does not sour
exhausted air
hot oven heat waves
wither grasslands crops
dry out vein riverbeds
but too much supercell water
may flood vast stretches of land
drown the air in torrential rain
water spirits must soar into the air
evaporation must seed rain clouds
not excessive thunderstorm heavy

Art of Water
whether lot, whether little
whether cold, whether hot
whether thirst, whether not
water is always needed
whether clean, whether dirty
in the land, in the ocean
whether flood, whether dry
water is always problem
rain river, static puddle
hidden in the desert, moist in the forest
frost on mountain, vapor to clouds
water is everywhere
playable, making war
doesn't have taste, doesn't have color
you can live or you can die
water is sign of life
the element, the anomaly
build energy, fill the body
the circle, the reflection
water is word of power

A World Without Water
Can you imagine a world without water?
It would be a world which is totally altered.
Rivers and streams would no longer flow.
The oceans' tides wouldn't ebb to and fro.
Without the cooling and refreshing rain,
Living things would struggle to remain.
With no fresh water, we'd have little to drink.
None of us would wash, so then we would stink.
Plants wouldn't grow: we would have no flowers.
There'd be no energy from hydro-electric power.
Radiators wouldn't work: there would be no heat.
We couldn't boil vegetables, eggs, or pasta to eat.
There would no longer be fish left in the sea:
Many aquatic creatures would just cease to be.
There would be no pools, in which we could swim.
Lakes and reservoirs would be empty to their brim.
There would be no travelling by ship or by boat:
There would be no water for either to float.
We wouldn't be able to wash the dog, or the car.
Without any water, we wouldn't get too far.
There would be no water to bind mixtures together.
We would soon get bored of constant hot weather.
We wouldn't be able to flush waste down our loo.
There are so many things which we couldn't do.
But in poorer countries, water is a precious blessing;
The urgent need for water is a matter that is pressing.
In the UK, we can access water each and every day,
But, what if, our water was suddenly taken away?

Let It Rain, Let It Rain, Let It Rain!
Siberia breathes its cold air
southward to the Pacific
down into our archipelago, and
so the nights are longer and the days are getting shorter
and it rains and rains and rains
seemingly without stopping and i am caught
shivering under the nipa roof inside the wooden house
facing a mountain through a window
a world drenched in water
wet season everywhere
mud and flooding rivers
buffaloes relaxing and white herons resting on their backs
between the drizzle
i sit and watch the beauty of the tropical countryside
the trees and hills and huts and houses
and horses and cows...
no snow, and not that harshly cold, this Eden
of the orient seas!

4. Elements – Water
Water an elemental
Water a fundamental
Building block of life
Water of Life
Water of Death
Water in all religions
Water in all living things
Water in all countries
Water also used for barter
No life without water
No rife with water
No respect for water
Willful neglect of water
Water, for cooking
Water, for cleaning
Water, for drinking
Water, for living
Water, for dying
Water is the same
In all languages
Water is the same
To all living beings

Rain
Rain is electricity for my soul
Like a light switch turning on my emotions
The rain - soft, wet, warm embracing
Water in the desert of my world
Dusty leaves awaken to a new level of life
Emerald sparks for my existence
Rivers of rain drops cascading through my dreams
Innocents lost in white rains of destruction
Memories dismissed in streams of blue water
My yearnings embraced by grey streaks of rain
Sapphire tides ignite my abandoned passions
Wet moss green bandages for my heart
Restrained tears like salty drops born of infinite oceans
Traces of pain washed away by the rain
The rain - pleasing, moist, warm, forgiving
Water spilling over sidewalks as gestures of kindness
Slippery saturating encounters
Raindrops stir tidal motions in the name of love

Stars On The Water
By: rodney crowell
1981
Down in louisiana, bayous by and by
Pirogue pole or your natural soul
Keeps you tied to a tree high tide
Beer joint lights come on
And then the crowd starts rollin in
Chorus:
Pretty soon you got stars on the water
You got stars on the water
Its like stars on the water, let it rain
Beaumont to biloxi
Sea breeze at your door
Gypsy rains, dang hurricanes
White silver sandy shore
Blue light lounge is shinin
Way out on the view
Chorus:
It looks just like stars on the water
Just like stars on the water
Just like stars on the water, let it rain
(guitar instrumental)
When its midnight down in mobile
Moonbeams on the bay
They come from miles around to dance the jukebox down
And dig the good time sounds they play
All across the harbour
Night lights shinin in
Chorus:
It looks just like stars on the water
Just like stars on the water
Just like stars on the water, let it rain
Chorus:
Pretty soon ya got stars on the water
You got stars on the water
Its like stars on the water, let it rain

A Relifef in Surprise!
Rain is lashing out at its best on Western side mounts!
Dams are filling with overwhelming water after summer!
Dry canals are having over flowing water in Easter side!
What a pleasant surprise though the days are hot and hot!
What else is wanted on the Eastern side of the country?
Whether hot Sun burns all with heat or not water is there
To irrigate the fields and quench the thirst of people much!
Is it called blessing in disguise or what else could it be?
Though rivers are linked or not to bring water to dry lands
If rain and water flow everywhere people are blessed much!
This is what everybody prays everyday to God in dry places
And the prayer is answered after many trials and tribulations!

Water Scarcity
Can't go swimming?
Less water to drink.
Try to store up,
And gear up.
No power supply,
Because there's no water.
Water is so meagre,
Try to use it acceptably.
Make a water check in all dams,
And compare.
Water is present everywhere,
Sadly, it's all saline.
Rain drops are guests to our earth,
But we don't summon them properly.
Earth is globally warmed,
So glaciers turn to saline.
Store up the paltry water,
Use it suitably and precisely,
And conserve it for next use.

I Need Water
Scorching hot summer’s day
Devastation struck on our holiday.
Water, water running out
No more water left about.
Where is water?
What to do?
Stressing, thirsty, hungry too.
Need a shower!
Need a drink!
But there is no time to think.
Running, running to the store
“No more water” written on the door.
I need water, but there’s none,
Definitely not having fun.
Feeling dirty!
Feeling sick!
Needing something so basic.
Water, water I need you
Then I’ll be as good as new.
Water, water always there,
Once it’s gone we’re made aware
Wasting water is not right
Now it’s gone I’ve seen the light.
I need water to survive
I’m lucky to be alive!

drown the air in torrential rain
water spirits must soar into the air

rain must fall to water dry earth
with soft kiss multitude raindrops
to nourish regenerate vegetation
there are natural balances checks
imposed laws upon all earth life
demon creature man eradicates life
global complex interactive life cycles
all is linked in established food chains
all life harmonies dances in life webs
let there be restoration of balances
replant vast tracts of deforestation jungles
oxygenate multiple dead sea zones
water must rise in harmonic symphonies
must be why water souls gift allow themselves
to evaporate on hot days allowing cloud births

The Flood
The water flows to any place,
Flooding the land en way;
Submerging roads, bridges and fields,
Filling the wells and lakes;
It spares no one and humans too,
Neither the beasts nor trees;
Carrying the garbage and rubbish
And the entire sewage of state;
Whole villages have been cut off;
Many have been marooned;
Shelterless and starving in the cold;
Some clutch on to pieces of wood;
And stay alive for some more time,
Afraid to lose their hold;
There’s no water to even drink;
The people are all stark-naked;
And all they see is sea-water,
No food is in sight for many miles;
Oh, what havoc, the storm has wrought
On a state so poor!
So many fishermen are lost;
And many must have died;
Perched atop trees dangerously,
Birds too have not been spared;
They have lost their nests in trees;
And eggs and young ones as well;
The rain is pouring incessantly;
None can escape its brunt;
The state is cut into ‘islets’,
With corpses, carcasses afloat;
The air is filled by malodor;
The stench unfit to breathe;
Many human lives have lost in flood,
The place is diseases-prone;
Should nature be so unkind
To human beings on earth?
Help seems to come at a snail’s speed;
Thousands were swept alive;
No one knows the numbers lost;
A pall of gloom covers;
Will the flood-waters ever recede?
Will the sun dry up the land?
Lakhs of houses have been washed off;
God help the poor victims!
