O, soldier sons

Our soldiers are casually way laid
No proper planning or attention is paid
The dirty game is on in the name of democracy
The casualty is on rise and meets with regular frequency

The brutal murderers are equipped with lethal weapons
The bloody guerrilla wars are not openly fought and won
Both the sides suffer heavily and lick the wounds
It leads no where and does not seem sound

I read the prayers are being offered in America
For their brave soldiers fighting from Afghanistan to Africa
It is not the price paid for liberty and freedom
It is long calculation, foresight and wisdom

They die for country so we breathe in peace
Peace and harmony all over and life at ease
The history will evaluate the gain and loss
Open hostility and readiness with swords to cross

The rivers are in spate and causing flood
The water flow is thickened with blood
What message will it carry to the shore?
To conjure the violence or abhor

We can sacrifice precious human lives
If one imposes threat and believes
In violence and brutal attacks
To eliminate them with relentless efforts to track

Soldiers are same all over world
Care for no hot weather or cold
Receiving bullets from the front and dead with kicks
Life is full of uncertainty and is at risk

Fighting with heave odds and criticism
It is full of adventure and not fought under mesmerism
The reality is bitter with no show of strength
People comment with no responsibility at different length

Are they pushed in field of their own?
Does the right spirit of seeds are sown?
Does the love for mother land rule supreme?
Have we adopted conciliatory path or extreme?

If it is deliberate thrust then must be countered
The peaceful way can not be altered
The violence can not be met with violence
But some tough posture must be adopted hence

It is proving like Achilles wound
From the surface it may like nice and sound
It will eat you up from within
Loss and turmoil with no sign of complete win

It is misfortune that we have to live under such state
In civilized world it can be termed as unfortunate fate
Who may want next generation to live with fear?
With all unforeseen consequences and pain to bear

We can solute to our brave sons of soil
And to farmers who feed us and toil
We have no words to praise their part
We have deviated our stand and preferred to depart

Return To Silence

Return to silence
We need no violence
Fighting for freedom in a restless world
We are praying for peace
Without pain and disease
Heal the world and close your eyes
Return to silence
Return to silence
We need no violence
Fighting for freedom
Return to silence
Praying for peace
Pain and disease
Where is a real paradise
Where is the land without lies
We just have to find a better way
The loss of heaven is the price we pay
No more nightmares each and every day
We don't need any wars
People wanna change course
They want the union of love
Where's a heavenly place
For the whole human race
Without weapons and wars
Every being on earth, needs a dream in his soul
We need our freedom, let loose of control
The older we get the less we see our way
We think of the past, but now we are trapped
And if I want to know why, we are trying to deny
The loss of heaven's road, is the price we have to pay
Stop violence, let's come to one's sense
Return to innocence
Somewhere inside, we still feel to be a child
Where the eyes are big and the problems being mild
If we try to go against, the current of events
Sometimes we gonna loose but we have to take the chance
Always have in mind, things should change in peace
Searching for someone to help, the sad and lonely trough
It can be me or you, so what we gonna do
I have a clue, for me and for you

The soldiers fought

The soldiers fought a fight, and went for us,

They went not thinking of themselves, and no fuss;

Some were injured. Yet in such agony they fought,

And some carried back to safety, while the enemy was sought.

Those soldiers were so very brave, fighting in our place,

Marching altogether, In order and without grace;

They never knew if they'd get back home at all,

All they did was fighting to win, the problem wasn't small.

And a lot of those brave soldiers, lost arms and legs, it's so,

But some very brave soldiers, where they died we don't know;

And this is why the legacy, we remember them, at set of sun,

And thank all these brave soldiers, for the good that was done.

Give Into Hate

Violence surrounds me
Violence in society
Violence in our eyes
Violence in their cries
Violence it's our fate?
Violence, it's too late?
Violence, no escape?
Violence, give into hate?
Is it human nature to act like animals?
We're all guilty, we're all criminals
Selfish species headed for a self destruction
Violent product of moral corruption
Violence for love
Violence because of hate
Violence, revolution
Violence of the state
Violence, you will find
Violence, it grips your mind
Violence, it's too late?
Violence, give into hate

A freedom is not in a day

Freedom is not attained in single day
It has proved difficult and in tortuous way
How many precious lives are lost in process?
Do we have any words for criticism to face?

Whoever has laid down life may not go in waste
It requires sacrifice and untiring efforts to stand test
We may be able to core it out right or gain the freedom
If the path so chose is non-violence then it is really wisdom

No wars have been won with continued hostility and bloodshed
The revolution may be written as history of shame with no watershed
There may be holocaust and human misery to be swallowed later
The result may have been there but many may come to be known as traitor

Freedom fighters are termed as dacoits or law breakers
They will make enough propaganda for ready takers
It may help them for little times to come and regroup
This can be called as popular uprising and not as military coup

The mighty power has witness sudden downfall
They have bow under tremendous pressure and international call
They have fear of losing the out side support
No out side help can come through the busy ports

Freedom can be won through non-violence means too
It may minimize human loss and this is equally true
We have witnessed many prolonged and bloody revolutions
It has not helped to prove misery but only lead to power devolution

What even if freedom is gained in total sense?
Has that got any relevance in its presence?
Have we attained whatever was desired or expected from?
The truth is bitter but to be explained to whom?

Who will never accept our own theory of deception?
How we remained under subjugation from inception?
Why did we not rise in revolt and tried for solution?
Did we try for it honestly and went for its dissolution?

Will story be rewritten when brought facts in open?
If so when it will find the light of the day and reopen?
Who will shed the light and appreciate the sacrifice?
The fact will be forgotten when people occupy the office

It is hard won struggle and must be preserved at all cost
The power should be shared and utilized for the most
Who knows it may prove acid test for days to come?
Why not celebrate it with fun fare and welcome?

It is unforgettable that freedom has cost us so much
We can’t afford to loose it again in a manner as such
Who will pardon us if we fail to cherish and protect
It has to be defended at all costs in fact

Eye for An Eye

Eye for an eye and blood for blood”
Revenge must be sought even if having no food
it reminds us of primitive days of stone and wood
Many civilizations have swept away or buried after flood,

They are in places where fanatics rule the world,
Day time daily murders with cold blood
Forcible imposition of will to bring them into fold,
To create the formidable cartels for banned drugs and gold,

their main aim is to export violence and terrorism,
Selecting the easy and show the barbarism
Still world sleep and offer limited or no criticism,
there is no sign of iron will to contain fascism,

Only handful of people hold the world to ransom
Sources are know where do they come from?
Still powerful politicians lack will and reel under gloom
when the real spring will come and flowers blossom

Is it right path to be pursued for attainment of goal?
Minting money by extracting diamonds from coal,
All come under one platform with aim to rule,
Preparing for war under new name of terror school,

It is said” if sword is to be drawn”
Then it should never be withdrawn?
Let all heads roll down on the ground
But the noble cause must be very much known,

So much destruction.loss of lives and bloodshed,
Innocents lay killed under the sun without any shed
thousand become homeless and many flee the scene
complete land becomes red and visibly seen

I may not preach violence but see the need to curb,
If countries needed to be told then must be snubbed
It should not be for self interest, national interest
Not to surrender to any pressure or yield to unrest

They will not understand the language of peace
Life may remain paralyzed and not at ease
It will be reign of terror with no where to go
How people can feel safe and try to forgo

Humanity will be at loss and continue to suffer
People may try to impose though others may differ
It is political hegemony which is at stake
They will remain under turmoil but not alert or awake

World may not heave a sigh of relief
If eye for an eye is their ideology and belief
They may call it martyrdom for freedom
They get hold or recognition seldom

World has to wake up to the reality
Must address the problem with sincerity
It may be solved to benefit of all
Peace should be ultimate goal and call

Violence And Bloodshed

Civilization crumblin' fast
End the world with a blast
People afraid walking the streets
Scums have their day
'Til they run into me

Are you ready?

Livin' in fear ain't livin' to me
I'am armed with a gun defending the free
They blew it in Nam shot up my friends
I'm back in the streets the fight never ends

I was born with a gun in my hand
I'll die for my country
But I'll die like a man
Violence and Bloodsheed
Violence and Bloodsheed
Violence and Bloodsheed

Now we're back to animal law
The payback's a bitch and I'm paying all
All my life I been waitin'to see
Who's gonna win crumbs or me

Are you ready

My brother's still in Da-Nang
Puttin'an ad in the back of Kerrang
I'm looking for people who just wanna kill
We'll go back the Nam cause no one else will

Land of the free
Home of the brave
Now that's how it is
And that's how it stays

Violence and Bloodsheed
Violence and Bloodsheed
Violence and Bloodsheed

The Two Brave Soldiers

Air -- "The Texas Rangers"

My friends, I pray you listen,
A story I will tell;
It's of two noble soldiers,
And they were known full well;
They were killed in the rebellion,
As you shall plainly hear,
Those brave and noble soldiers,
No danger did they fear.

They enlisted in Grand Rapids,
In eighteen and sixty-two,
'Twas in the month of August,
About the middle, too;
These two brave, noble soldiers,
They joined the cavalry;
They fought to save their country,
United it yet may be.

One of them, a single man,
His name was Martin House;
The other one was married,
His name I'll tell you now.
Abram Bishop was his name;
He was a christian man;
Two soldiers, they were brave, and
They hailed from Michigan.

When they left their native place,
Their friends to them did say;
"Oh! do not go to war boys,
You'd better with us stay;
For if you join the army,
You never will return
To all your friends that love you,
You never will return."

Young House spoke unto his friends:
"I'd rather go," said he,
"I have no wife and children
To weep and mourn for me.
I hear my country calling
For her sons of liberty,
And I, for one must go, friends,
A coward I cannot be."

"We are not afraid of fighting
The rebels, no, not we;
They're bound to make our country
A place for slaves to be.
Our fathers fought before us,
To gain our liberty,
And we, the sons of freemen,
Must fight to keep it free."

"Farewell, farewell to all our friends
That we may leave behind,
If we do never return,
We pray you bear in mind,
If God sees fit to call us,
We are not afraid to die;
Our country, she is calling,
We must bid you all good bye."

It was in Old Virginia,
Those noble soldiers fell,
In the battle of Hanover town,
As many a man can tell.
They fought through many battles,
Obeyed their captain's call,
Alas! the missles struck them,
And caused them both to fall.

Innocents Shed Lives

'The days of divine rights of kings' have gone
Their monopoly to rule also has been undone
Lot many countries have adopted world charter
Where equal rights for all have proved as good starter

Weak political system has given the room for dictators to rise
The whole system has been pushed aside and resulted in breach of promises
Promises given to people of the land to rule as per their wishes
Alas! That has remained distant dream and all hopes remain dashed

Entire globe is divided into two systems
Yet it does not suit to their design and ill will stem
Dictators seize powers and pirates rule the sea
Very pathetic condition all over world to see

How many innocents shed lives per day?
How many soldiers loose their precious lives on the way?
Their vehicles are blasted and road is blocked
In friction of seconds many lives are smoked

Terrorists strike at their will and keep humans as shield
They have sway over limited land yet find open field
Not all efforts are paying any dividend for world peace
Life is very difficult for poor people to live at ease

There may be many people like me feeling helpless
Yet we cry over liberty and bring smile on face
Many activists rot in jails for no fault or crime
What next should be our goal or aim as prime?

Let there be system if any country chooses?
World should not bother as no threat it poses
Let there be no violation of human rights
Rest all can be avoided to fuel the fight

If need be lawlessness can be curbed with heavy hand
This beautiful world belongs to all and must prove as heavenly land
It is not the role of any class or country
We are here as special missionary of the almighty

Let doves fly all over globe with message
Small branch in mouth to speak nothing
Let world witness real message behind
Search the soul earnestly and find

At The Grave Of The Unknown Soldier

He was a brave soldier he died young and brave
And for more than six decades he lay in his grave
And still at the dawning of each war memorial day
At his grave site a young bugler the last post does play.

Known as the Unknown Soldier one without a name
Still he had a mum and a dad just the same
And when he did not return home when the fighting was done
They grieved at their loss and they wept for their son.

The war to end all wars of all wars 'tis said
But more wars are fought and we have more war dead
And at the grave of the unknown soldier the last post is played
And to honour the war dead another parade.

Old war men do tell us young soldiers fight and die
For freedom and liberty that is a lie
They went to war when young they are now old and gray
Some grow old not wiser some are known to say.

That they were fighting for freedom and justice they believed to be true
And they were quite gallant to give them their due
But many deprived of their human rights in the World of today
And that does seem a very sad thing for to say.

With heads bowed old men showing their years in gray
At the grave of the Unknown Soldier at the dawn of the day
In silence do listen as a young bugler the last post does play
For one who fought and died in a war far away.

A blood hots up

It is national sentiment and I am deeply shocked
At gruesome murders when day light is rocked
When crowd is fired at and resulting into deaths?
Long queues are scene for laying the wreath

It has become routine and hunting ground
New technique is employed and innovative ways are found
People are slain in broad day light
They want to conquer without offering fight

What do they to offer to their brethren?
What can be their aim to find in light of lantern?
Have they done blind to the senseless killings?
Are people in for it with willing?

It makes me bleed and hurts most
Irreparable loss is done by them at no cost
it may not be material loss or damage
it makes country to bleed and making it difficult to manage

How long we will witness the carnage?
Why people are killed and thrown into drainage?
What type of game they are involved in?
Is it not the dirty tricks or ways employed very mean?

Why to we distrust the system and cast a doubt?
Why sudden loss of face and turn about?
Is there any secret understanding between terrorists or clout?
Why sudden spurt in violence to face the rout?

It pains me deeply and hurts conscience
I must go into oblivion for doing nothing with silence
I can’t knock the inner voice and ask for remedy
Life has turned hostile with tragedy

I will not stand up and face the weather
Neither I will cry nor continuously bother
May consider it as set back and differ
Opinion of others stand good but we have to suffer

It gave me enough of strength to stand fast
Mind occupied with sense with courage to last
Nothing so particular with malice intention
Still it stood as test and raised many question

I must search the soul and repent
No to further quest and silently consent
Confine to reality with utmost sincerity
Movement with steady pace and no more hostility

I should go down with human dignity
Love to live with natural beauty
that is there on earth without any blame?
Can any one remain aloof and claim?

I too would live with no malign intent
Avoid unpleasant scene and remain content
God is so kind to grant us whatever we desire
why then we hesitate and not even admire?

I want to give message of peace
Abhor the violence and try for hostility to cease
Nothing may help to solve the misery
We will god own as butchers in the history

Violence adds to violence
Cruelty and death can’t be compensated with condolence
Let us sit together and bring an end to bloodshed
To bring revolution by bloodshed is not a trade

They Gave Their All

I may not understand the wars
Or the fields of rotting corpses

I've read all the poems
Of wars from the past

And cannot imagine
The life lived back then

A blood soaked battlefield
Death wading with glee
At those that have fallen
For the right to be free

So many souls lost in time
Fighting a cause, humanity blind
Dare I say, what I read?

In between the lines
A poet soldier
Who needs to be free?

Do I have a right?
To question their fight

They gave their all
In what they believed

Teardrops fall as I continue my rhyme
But what I do understand
Is that they fought through all the wars
So that we can be free
To choose our lives
And live to be
What we want to be

All the bloodshed fields
The entire hero's lost in wars
I bow my head, and pray to thee
Thank you all
For letting me breathe

To learn and discover
The meaning of me
Tears trickle down
As I cry for your loss
You never got the chance to be free
You never found your path in life
You never came home to your loved ones, friends, and family

So what gives us the right?
The generation of today
To say how boring
Our life is today

When those in war
Never had a full life
They gave it all
So we could be free
To live a full life

I thank the hero's
Of past, present and yet to be
What so sad for humankind
Is that war is our history

Perhaps in the future
We can see peace and harmony
Perhaps dare I say it
A world weapon free

A sacrifice once again

You did it once again
It was not for position to regain
It was pure sacrifice
We sincerely mourn your demise

Your are brave soldiers of holy land
You considered foe as friends
You were deployed there to protect the frontier
You were deployed there as soldier

We all slept here with peace
You were torn there in pieces
Daily some of you were dying
It was willingness for laying

You were paid from treasury
You had all pains and misery
How much hardship and difficult way?
We had glimmer of hope and ray

O, brave sons of the soil
You stand there for enemy’s attempts to foil
You live under constant fear and fire
We have no words for you to admire

What else can we do for you?
Is it not equally right and true?
We can see the reason through
You are there not for us to woo

You have opted to stay there
You could stay in comforts here
You have all the freedom to go else where
You have chosen that path true and fair

Nation may remember your true service
No words can supplement or suffice
It is only your dedication that may speak
You are strong and not merely weak

You have all the options open
You can come back and life re open
It will be possible only when
Peace and tranqulity prevails then

We speak true words from our heart
For you it maybe beginning or start
There lies complete open path
There is always danger and bloodbath

How many bullets may be piercing through?
How many may be incapacitated too
It is daily scene of the day
There lies dangerous way

We don’t hesitate to pass the remark
Nation may be poised to embark
It may scale new heights with glory
The page may be re written with different story

You blood may not go in vain
It will always be our pride main
You will rule and guide our destiny
We have attained freedom after great struggle or mutiny

You may shine in sky as bright star
You may remain with us and not so far
You may twinkle there and inspire
We have no words except to admire

You may live long as stars and sky
Our land and sky will be open to fly
It is your valiant effort and try
We raise our head with pride and not feel shy

The Peace Women Drum On Their Peace Drums

The Peace Women drum on their peace drums in hope that the war men may hear
The war men who wage war on others the influential bullies who live far from here
The bullies who wage their so called war on terror who themselves are responsible for brutal acts of shame
Yet the bombing and murdering continues despite the blame and counter blame.

The Peace Women drum on their peace drums and they sing in the sunlight of day
In hope the winds their peaceful message will carry the power of thought powerful they say
They drum for peace amongst Humankind and for an end to violence everywhere
The poor in war zones those who suffer and they drum for a World that's more fair.

The Peace Women marvellous people let's hope in their quest they succeed
For a peaceful and a better World their energy something we need
They drum and sing for the murdered war children and the mothers who mourn their loss
Their burden of sorrow is heavy they need help to shoulder their cross.

The Peace Women drum on their peace drums they are putting their message out there
Their message that may enlighten peace wreckers and their damaged souls may repair
They drum and sing in the park in the sunshine in the cool shadow of the trees
And their message of peace it is carried away in the freshening breeze

Border guards

What the soldiers are expected to perform?
On the field and off the field to inform
About their personal attitude towards enemy soldiers
And to maintain human values as guard on borders

There is real feeling of brotherhood when prevails calm
Regular visit to their bunkers in peace time without any harm
Exchange of greetings on festival days and respect for family members
Sweet memory, grief, burden or welfare to remember

When hostility is likely to resume or danger bell sounds
There is concern when skirmishes are shadowing with firing of rounds
No one knows who will hit and face the casualty
Peace atmosphere is broken with the arrival of hostility

Many countries have faced volatile borders
The peace accord is broken as if for the benefit of traders
New weaponry is to be tested on the battle field
Who is bothered about gain or loss or territories held?

New round of peace talks and firing still on
How the soldiers can rejoice when their bodies are torn?
Daily there is loss of some lives as if they are heard of ships
Bodies may return home for families at home to weep

When country is really at war, the war cry is heard
The countless losses along with human lives is feared
Many children may turn orphans as war may be raged
The situation there after may not be successfully managed

The scenario is so hysterically up sided that soldiers turn fierce enemies
Men in uniforms put hand ready on triggers as ordered by the armies
The blood is rushed to their eyes to finish each others with revenge
The national interest comes to their mind and consciously up to avenge

Who knows how many bodies lay scattered in the battle field?
Even though the scene is different as latest weapons are used
Still the draggers and bayonets are used to score over adversary
There may be many occasions to celebrate it as triumph anniversary

What is value of life in the minds of uniform men?
Are they totally indifferent to their brethren and other humans?
Do they really feel joy when dragger is pierced through body?
Does he really think that it can be him one day or any body?

The triumph echo may die soon and peace may prevail again?
The loss on both the sides may be forgotten with piece of land regained
The bodies may be exchanged with full guard of honor
The fallen guards may be considered as martyrs and nation’s saviors

War Is Over

Old soldiers talk about the battles fought
To build a better world for me and you.
They sacrificed their lives to make a dream come true.
Now theyre forgotten men remembered by so few.
But the war is over and the fighting ended many years ago.
The war is over. the battles won but what is there to show?
Side by side they marched together fighting so their children
Could be free,
To build a better world, a new society
All classes unified to live in harmony
Now the war is over so lets forget and leave the past alone.
The war is over, its time for all the soldiers to go home.
Rich men, poor men make history,
Fighting for the land of hope and glory
A nations voice will sing as one,
A battle cry until weve won
The was is over and the patriotic comrades are no more.
The war is over
Now theyre going home to live just like before.
Arm in arm we sang our patriotic songs of love and sentiment.
Tears of joy to hide the sorrow,
New tomorrows till we meet again,
With a new world to build well say auf weidersein.
What did they do for us?
What did it prove to us?
As we stand beside the silent grave
The unknown soldier cant be saved.
The war is over
The war is over, its time for all the soldiers to go home.
The war is over.

A plan in advance

It is good to plan in advance
You have full time to think at once
You can make last minute change
It won’t be difficult to alter or manage

Many school of thoughts lay emphasis on present
Person should not worry unnecessarily and be physically absent
No moment should be wasted on unsecured tomorrow
Only hard efforts to be put up thrust to be allowed

You have full freedom to think and surge ahead
You are your own master to plan and lead
You are able to judge the action and read
The fate is uncertain and hangs on bare thread

We were given beautiful world to lead and live
They got us freedom to express and really believe
The danger lying ahead and to counter its menace
They stood high in our eyes with glorious face

They never wanted wanton killings and genocide
The fact was well before them to decide
It was to be a safe heaven for next generation
Nothing was left out to be worked out in desperation

What are we witnessing today?
No peaceful existence or open way
All sorts of terror attacks and reprisals
Denial for involvement soon with quick dismissals

Is this the world our forefathers had wanted?
Did they want that whole population to be shifted?
Did they want that the innocents to be executed?
Vanish from the face of earth with voice silently muted

why are we not allowed to raise the banner of freedom?
What language do they understand for the price of wisdom?
We have never come across the orgy of violence
we are sitting on volcano and fearing hence

Today we witness the people disappear in matter of seconds
They have become trigger happy and negatively respond
Do you think the citizens are meant for killer’s bullet?
Is there no place for peace to prevail with the help of ballets?

No heart can be won over by use of force
Love and affection is the only way of course
it may bring prosperity and brotherhood all over
why do we take shelter under the dark cover?

If extermination is the only option then we must opt
The tough stand to be taken and adopted
There is still chance for second thought
The street should not be raged with fight

Is there any scope for total peace?
Whom do we think can make life at ease?
Why still we look on with so much apathy?
Why do the intelligentsias not show the solidarity and sympathy?

I Want to be a Soldier

I will be a soldier
Only when soldiers realize
They are not animals or
cattles
Only if soldiers can ask
'Why should I shoot that
innocent man? '
I would be a soldier
If soldiers can ask the
commander
'Why should we shoot at
the children? '
I would be a soldier
If soldiers know that
The red blood that runs
through their veins
Runs in the rest peopl's too.
I would be a soldier if
Soldiers know they aren't
what they ask them to be
When they know that
The Emperor will never ask
them to kill his children
I would be a soldier
When soldiers realize war
is inhuman
When soldiers know war
always starts war
When they know that
World peace can not be
reached through war
When United Nations can
ask themselves
Is war the only way to end
corruption in the globe?
When soldiers know the
distance between peace and
war.
When soldiers realize how
intoxicative the gun is.
When soldiers realize
that gun does not control
them, but they control it.
I would be a soldier only if
soldiers know
why Martin Luther King jnr.
was killed.
If they know Adolf Hitler
also tried to make peace
through war.
I would be a soldier
If they can tell me why they
are only trained to kill.
I would be a soldier if
soldier can say
NO TO BRUTE LEADERS.
I would be a soldier if
soldiers know
the difference between
death and birth.
I would be a soldier if they
can tell
Why they are weapons of
destruction?
If they can explain why they
killed at Vietnam?
Why they killed at Somalia?
Why Ghadafi was killed
without trial?
Why Abraham Lincoln was
shot
Why Ghandi was killed,
Why they dont care if they
die in war in the name of
peace.
I would be a soldier If soldiers know they have rights If soldiers know they need Freedom. I would be a soldier If the goverments around the world realize How wonderful the world would be If the money invests in atomic weapons can be spent To feed billions of children on the streets of India, Nigeria, Brazil, South Africa The United States and all the streets of the World. I would be a soldier when soldiers can fight for liberty And not for slavery When soldiers know that nobody should think for them When soldiers know they are humans not cattles, When they realize that nobody should tell them what to think and what to feel. If soldiers can be humans, I would be a soldier.

To they who survive on less than one dollar a day

Hobos who're denied a decent shelter
And stripped of all vestiges of human dignity,
And poverty stricken villagers and desperate refugees
Who're denied decent medical care and access to justice,
And children who must forage for food in the dustbins
The just of the world have not forgotten you

And the soldiers who wage the wars of extermination
Against their own people,
And those who're forced to be the sex slaves
Of the moneyed and the toddlers who become child soldiers
And the misguided and greedy drug mules who are raped and
And tortured and hanged and left to rot in foreign jails
Our children
We have not forgotten you

And the world demands a true and more humane
World order that stands up to demand justice
For the victims of state sponsored violence
And justice for the victims of ritual murder and female
Genital mutilation and the victims of AIDS
And the entire universe demands
Justice for the victims of racist attacks and the victims of mob violence
And from the bosoms of their hearts the children of the world stand
Stand up as one and they demand justice for the victims of mindless
Violence and they cry out for justice for the victims of genocide
And they want to see the perpetrators of ethnic cleansing
Brought to justice to answer for their evil deeds

Over Decades

No one has counted dead over decades
Yet it is compulsion to resume the trade
'It is life line and must' diplomats argue
'Peace is above all with trust' we too feel it is due

How long a shell will come and hit?
To the soldiers on border and greet
Take away life for humanity to curse
What else to do when it is needed for peace?

Many more may die in future
No one is certain about it or very much sure
Borders are silent but under illusory calm
One more spark and may cause greater harm

I shall weep for centuries along with new generations
Good sense may prevail and new era may start for good relation
Not a single soul must be lost and bodies be left as unaccounted
Great amount of efforts may be pure thrust and to be amounted

I am tired of this blood shed on my surface
How can I bless all when grief is seen on the face?
Forget about calm borders but situation within
At such alarming stages that it can hardly be called as freedom's win

Soldiers die on border, farmers' suicide on local front
Whose theory we believe, digest or simply confront?
Why poor suffer for the want of two square meals?
What are we all enjoying on the name of freedom deal?

My surface may remain red crimson with blood
Sometimes I may witness deaths due to flood
When will I have little respite from my lovely children?
Can any one say including sons of soil, saints or politicians even?
