Love and friendship
If red rose is for love and friendship
White one is for peace and very seems very deep
Its message is very clear with anguish
A signal for surrender and sign of finish
It is better to call off war and avoid blood shed
The wars are never successfully led
Both the sides suffer in terms of man and material
No one can proudly claim or offer denial
Modern warfare is the bloodiest
It can never be termed as useful or best
Did you ever visit hospitals or war zones?
If not then you are safe with all bones
Bodies are scattered all over for vultures
No one can claim it as good culture
It can never guarantee stable future
We are pushed to deep darkness for ever
Let us pray for no more such occurrences
It should never occur even by remote chance
We may replace material loss with some pain
But human losses are never to be regained
Even single death is shame on humanity
We have been sent here as peace messenger by almighty
We have no right to claim any land or divide
Time may favor sometimes but not always the tide
We have seen many civilizations lost in process
We have few remnants and have some access
We can assume glorious past of such existence
What is use if we have lost our past because of ignorance?
Avoid using pretext to wage such unholy things
It has nothing to do with man kind or something
Peace must prevail either by friendship or good neighborhood
Then only it will be known as correct meaning and having understood

Civilization may.........
Civilizations may emerge fresh and vanish
Remains may be found later on but not finish
Excavations may shed some light on glorious past
There may be some reasons for its extinctions very fast
How does nation emerge with historical traditions?
Deep rooted love for holy land without condition
Every citizen ready to shed blood for its pride and honor
All to defend irrespective of old or young major or minor
Nation may remain within secured boundaries
It may have all the prosperity with big industries
Peace and stability may still elude the nation
Other neighbors may not like to have good relations
How can sentiments and attachments remain intact without identity?
Stable nation with strong defense is all call of the day and necessity
Nation can only prosper and rise with strong and resolute action
We the people of nation has every right to defend without any reaction
Can any nation prosper without popular support?
Is it not essential to live as one nation with good rapport?
Does then any nation may you look towards you for any weak spot?
I think they will refrain from any mad misadventure and dare not
It will be great shame if we have to live under constant fear
It will be living death if constantly agony and pain we have to bear
Nation will pass through identity crisis and suffer with humiliation
To live under shame may add insult and find no reconciliation
It is right said “don’t ask what country is doing for you”
But ask “what you are doing for the country”
It has deep meaning in it and quiet sensible thought behind
Any nation can’t afford to go without it and reasonably find
No nation can advance and have identity of its own
If it has no clear policy and stand clearly known
At least people of other nations may look toward with a respect
They will think twice before and enter into pact
Ancient civilizations were knows for its tolerance
“Live and let others live” was slogan free from any interfearence
This always formed corner stone of policy
Liberty and freedom were not the words from mighty
Liberal thoughts must prevail and message should go across
Let there be the free world with liberty thoughts and no threats to pose
No intimidation of any sort with mutual territorial integrity in tact
Let there be free flow of people to uphold the humanity in fact

Prayer to St Anthony for Lost Items
Saint Anthony, perfect imitator of Jesus, who received from God the Special power of restoring lost things, grant that I may find (mention Your petition) which has been lost. As least restore to me peace and Tranquility of mind, the loss of which has afflicted me even more than My material loss.
To this favor I ask another of you: that I may always remain in Possession of the true good that is God. Let me rather lose all things Than lose God, my supreme good. Let me never suffer the loss of my Greatest treasure, eternal life with God. Amen.

No Mortal Death
No one can claim clean life
At any given time it might have been torn by strife
Some sins might have been committed to come out
This is life story and all about
We put on the white cloth to claim sainthood
That can’t be considered as service to brotherhood
If you were not true and loyal to your neighborhood
How can you claim it sacred where you have now stood?
In your prayer, it makes you restless
The worry lines are seen on the face
You can cheat your conscience at once
But not to people who know it by grace
Your past is not leaving you with any peace
You are breathless and not completely at ease
Sometimes you may succeed to fool some people around
But your prominence and sacredness is not found
We come across many God men
They are desperately trying even
To show the closeness to almighty
But we can only show on them little pity
Mortal sins can’t be washed away
Every human being is suffering from evil way
It may not allow you to choose
Right and wrong and finally loose
What comes along is ordinary behavior
God is always near you as savior
Leave to Him for judgment of your action
Never bother what people think about you as reaction
We have tolerated enough of God men and suffered
So far no tolerance, peace or stability is offered
The humanity has bore severe brunt of all excesses
Even though it was made known to them about holy access
We have fallen victims of our own folly
The blame should be owned wholly
He never guided you to fall for blind faith
Has any one so far said about no mortal death?

We may survive
World may survive
We will revive
Peace may prevail
The track may carry the rail
Humanity may win
Harmony may be seen
Love and peace may have chance
Let us not forget it at once
It is only place to live
Where all races live and believe
Under one belief and single roof
What else you need as proof?
God is one yet pray with different name
Supremacy always try to claim
Love and hatred mixed to read
Guide the path and shamefully lead
Rich and poor remain wherever they are
Beautiful dreams still at distant and very far
Still we want to be one
Let it be understood by everyone
We are human being
May there be many queens and kings
Still we are living on earth
Always afraid and fearful of death
We may have still to move
Show the world to prove
We care for human sentiments
Cry for their plight and resent
We may err but rectify too
Blame but later on justify as true
We are still sensible and can understand
No one can be kept as foe but only friend

Sonnet: On Modern Wars
Oh, modern warfare is ruthlessly fought,
With men buried alive in trenches deep;
And blown to smithereens, in crossfire caught,
While kith and kin, wives, mothers, loved ones weep!
’Tis fight to death- bodies you can’t retrieve;
Or maimed so grotesquely, none can discern;
Some lost; some taken prisoners, morn and eve;
Blood-shed like river- yet not world’s concern.
And hunger, diseases, climate too kill;
Sheer waste of bullets, lives and material;
And without peace, both parties become ill;
The common-man’s sufferings are so real.
War’s ravages haunt posterity too!
What can the other nations or God do?

A less stress
No tesnsion or so much stress
The only way out is to confess
To go all out and think It over
I need no shelter or cover
I think friendship is treasure
It is thing of joy and for pleasure
It must be shared on equal sentiments
It has no scope for any other comments
Life may abe meaningless without love
It is like relation between water and dove
It can co exist with so much to give
It is firm commitmentt and words to believe
I would love to venture in open field
All feelings and care may be widely held
It is natural and has much to do with relation
Other material gain is out of question
It makes me to think seriously
I have longed for it continously
Now it has come to its logical end
I have found reliable and trusted friend
I may not claim it as prize catch
We are suitable and equall match
It may provide stable relation
I hope it to last it long without any cancellation
It has to be message of love and peace
I want to passs it with calm and at ease
It makes me to work more for harmony
It has been tried in past by many
What has been not understood so far?
We have seen it as cause of war
So much bloodshed was caused in past
That has been over since very last
The popularity can remain on top
If violaion is at full stop
Only peaceful atmosphere for living
Will help and strengthen the cause for believing

War Destruction
Have you ever counted dead in battle field?
Rifles in hand and ground firmly held
Not given an inch of the holy mother land
Laid down lives while defending at the at the far end
How much time it needs to sweat in peace time?
Countless hours spent just for planning sometimes
With only view in mind that it may bleed less
When time comes for actual war to face?
Wars are not liked but forced on to fight
It may be imposed whether you are wrong or right
Boarders are put on alert with lots of inconvenience
Mass exodus of people can be seen both the sides at once
Nobody may want hostile atmosphere
Peaceful countries always avoid and truly fear
Country’s progress can be taken several years back
So much loss, future and economy at stake!
Life comes to standstill with no sign of immediate peace
Countries at war are in no mood to please
Initial thrust is at capturing as much land as possible
Problem may start later on with grave trouble
War may be over with third party mediation
Leaving behind misery and lots of questions,
Human losses and material destruction
Where from to receive now fresh instructions?
Civilian population as well as fighting soldiers
No one is pleased to feel happy either
Life here or there valued same for the bereaved families
As no one was ever expecting to be enemies
Deep distrust and hostility in mind is brewing
Divide of boundaries and unrest is clearly showing
Yet it is ceasefire call and must be brought back to normal
Normalcy is limping back after resumption people’s arrival
There is much to think about and assess in depth
How many families might have cursed and wept?
Even thought it is holy task of defending motherland
But something must be done to build confidence and remain as friends

Jerusalem / Land of God
Jerusalem
Home of Saints and Prophets
All of them prayed there
with tears
I Pray
Yester
was last day
in the last year
All people
thinking
about themselves
and their families
myself
thinking of you
Because I love you
I love Jesus
the merciful
and i love you
I prayed
that you be
land of God
Land of Peace
Town of Love
Land of Jesus
Town of Jesus
The merciful
Land of Mary
The Innocent
Land of Moses
The well bred
The highly mannered
I want to pray
in your Mosque and Temple
Prayers of Love and Peace
Prayers of Forgiveness
for all the blood shed
here and there
Please give Peace
to my world
the small one
then the big one
Because you are the Most Generous
Then Suddenly
Hope came
and it comes suddenly
Like Life
Jerusalem Again
I love you
I love You So
Your air and Beauty
Your Past and Future
Please be Land of God
Land for God
Land of innocence
Land for Innocence
Land of us
Land for us
of you
for you
of me
for me
of us
for us
of Peace
for Peace

Living In The Material World
Im living in the material world
Living in the material world
Cant say what Im doing here
But I hope to see much clearer,
After living in the material world
I got born into the material world
Getting worn out in the material world
Use my body like a car,
Taking me both near and far
Met my friends all in the material world
Met them all there in the material world
John and paul here in the material world
Though we started out quite poor
We got richie on a tour
Got caught up in the material world
From the spiritual sky,
Such sweet memories have i
To the spiritual sky
How I pray
Yes I pray
That I wont get lost
Or go astray
As Im fated for the material world
Get frustrated in the material world
Senses never gratified
Only swelling like a tide
That could drown me in the
Material world
From the spiritual sky,
Such sweet memories have i
To the spiritual sky
How I pray
Yes I pray
That I wont get lost
Or go astray
While Im living in the material world
Not much giving in the material world
Got a lot of work to do
Try to get a message through
And get back out of this material world
Im living in the material world
Living in the material world
I hope to get out of this place
By the lord sri krsnas grace
My salvation from the material world
Big ending

Peace to the world....
Peace to the world
Like a flower in the sky
Peace
Peace-overcoming evil with good be
Peace
Give me peace I won't cry anymore
White dove symbol of peace
Peace can be found deep down in the heart
Peace in the winds that sleep upon the deep
I want peace
Peace in my personal space
I want peace in my feelings
Cloth me in white
The color of peace....

Green Peace
I have heard great Emperor Ashoka vowed not fight
His inner conscious rebelled and forced him to act right
He sent her daughter to far countries with message of peace
To propagate the message of love and shun the violence
'I take refuge/shelter to his kingdom'
The slogans are chanted to ask for freedom
Freedom for coming out of social evils
Save the precious lives and vow not to kill
Green is sacred color and represents peace
You may remain mighty and powerful but may prefer life at ease
To live within sacred norms and hurt no one
Harmony and co existence for all and not for one
We live artificial life today
Crush the green forests and find the way
Rob the animals from their natural habitat
Push them to death for satisfying royal habits
Many have done it in past and does need its repetition
There is neck cut rivalry and arms competition
Humanity may suffer if not halted mad race
We need to offer peace in any case
No religion preaches hated and disobedience
Love is the only way and last chance
How many times you may annihilate the human race?
It may still survive on the earth's surface
We are going against his wish
There is nothing like fight to finish
Let us make it green for all the times to come
Any peace initiative or efforts must be welcome
What world may look if greenery is developed within?
What big parks and forests will do in lovely chain?
Of course, peace may prevail and environment too
Hearts may change and peace may come true

Border guards
What the soldiers are expected to perform?
On the field and off the field to inform
About their personal attitude towards enemy soldiers
And to maintain human values as guard on borders
There is real feeling of brotherhood when prevails calm
Regular visit to their bunkers in peace time without any harm
Exchange of greetings on festival days and respect for family members
Sweet memory, grief, burden or welfare to remember
When hostility is likely to resume or danger bell sounds
There is concern when skirmishes are shadowing with firing of rounds
No one knows who will hit and face the casualty
Peace atmosphere is broken with the arrival of hostility
Many countries have faced volatile borders
The peace accord is broken as if for the benefit of traders
New weaponry is to be tested on the battle field
Who is bothered about gain or loss or territories held?
New round of peace talks and firing still on
How the soldiers can rejoice when their bodies are torn?
Daily there is loss of some lives as if they are heard of ships
Bodies may return home for families at home to weep
When country is really at war, the war cry is heard
The countless losses along with human lives is feared
Many children may turn orphans as war may be raged
The situation there after may not be successfully managed
The scenario is so hysterically up sided that soldiers turn fierce enemies
Men in uniforms put hand ready on triggers as ordered by the armies
The blood is rushed to their eyes to finish each others with revenge
The national interest comes to their mind and consciously up to avenge
Who knows how many bodies lay scattered in the battle field?
Even though the scene is different as latest weapons are used
Still the draggers and bayonets are used to score over adversary
There may be many occasions to celebrate it as triumph anniversary
What is value of life in the minds of uniform men?
Are they totally indifferent to their brethren and other humans?
Do they really feel joy when dragger is pierced through body?
Does he really think that it can be him one day or any body?
The triumph echo may die soon and peace may prevail again?
The loss on both the sides may be forgotten with piece of land regained
The bodies may be exchanged with full guard of honor
The fallen guards may be considered as martyrs and nation’s saviors

War and Peace
Wars cannot give a lasting peace;
Wars cause much hatred and ill-will;
Wars are futile and costly too;
Wars break existing peace with ease!
Wars cause deep wounds of hearts and minds
–That can’t be healed except by time;
Wars lead to loss of lives untold
–That cannot be ever regained.
Wars serve to foment more troubles;
Wars make the world more insecure;
Wars shift the balance of powers;
Wars do not solve the world’s problems.
Love only solves great differences;
Love only bonds the earth’s peoples;
Love only brings peace with much ease;
Love is the key to global peace.

Loss Of Trust
It is shame on humanity
Bad reflection and insult to divinity
As we claim highly privileged persons
But go down in history with various reasons
No, no it is not your fault
It has come blue from the bolt
We have shared no reality
For fear of speaking a bad quality
Why at all people should suffer?
Why have we to go and silently offer?
A mere loaf of bread
Before they are proclaimed dead
Majority has some right to claim
But not allowed to force the shame
No one should die of hunger
This infuriated me with the kind of anger
We are exposed to human weakness
Yet we hide it and present the different face
As if everything thing going on normal
Till the disaster knocks its arrival
The earth can't be deprived of many races
Blacks, whites can't have clear tail or traces
They have come into being and that is the only truth
We need to go out and express the will at the booth
Never feel hurt as we are to be blamed
Remove the people who are or ill famed
What good they can deliver to us!
When they have completely lost the trust

We Do Nothing
We do nothing, want or don’t want to
This is bitter and unforgettable truth
What we are today were not yesterday!
Those were the moments of golden days
Not much of plight or days of starvation
Very good, peaceful and cordial relation
Yes heart felt sad happening all around
Bitterness was to be seen somewhere and found
Who can predict about future?
I think no one on our part for sure
We have to resolve it genuinely first
Then think about other things to solve at last
I have cried with my brethrens
Always shared their views and concerns
Cried along with them for deaths to mourn
Balied hopes, shattered faith and bodies torn
Storms daily come and destroy the houses
Patience dry out and passions rouse
We have borne the agony but bore no grudges
Trend is yet not clear as they won’t budge
We have reached moon and now embark on mars
But at home and abroad hungry are the masses
Enough of blood has flown on the earth
Many more casualties to count with innumerable deaths
We know nothing about future of the children
Countries land has turned dry and barren
What will we do with coming up of new houses?
When we have nothing on head but restricted passes
Amen! We all need peace
Stable life and living at ease
Give peace a chance and earn breather
Lot more concerns to share and responsibility to solder
Oh lord, now it is enough and no more of such kind
Let us strive hard, come to the conclusion and reasonably find
For betterment of man kind and slight chance for livelihood
Live and lead as an example for humanity in the neighborhood
Let us share agony, pain but avoid brutality
That must be shunned and banned in totality
Let us not shed the blood for occupation of land
Turn age old rivalry into best possible way and befriend
Future generation may not pardon us for our folly
Why was it imposed upon and not considered silly?
Was it considered most important and wanted really?
The answer remains “no” as it was never understood truly
Many factors played part behind the scene
Such holocaust and plight was never seen!
The wounds are still licking with bad memories
Adding more woes and not lessening the worries
Survive the attempt that is pointed at disasters
We are the main people and own masters
Nothing must be done to vitiate it further
Let us live like one as sisters and brothers

Peace On Earth, Good Will Toward Men
Peace on earth, good will toward men
Now, isn't that a mouthful
Peace on earth, good will toward men?
Unfortunately that's doubtful
Good will towards men?
With hatred so widespread
Good will towards men
Is much too casually said
Peace on earth, ideally human
An ideal worth the effort for
Peace on earth for our children's children
So they won't be fraught with future wars
To reach that goal we all must strive
When all seems lost, just strive again
To keep our future hopes alive
For peace on earth, good will toward men

Tolerance and Tradition
Whole of world seemed so small
Emperor Ashoka had met all the frontier calls
Enemy was reduced to nil and seen no where
He proudly thought' now no heads can dare'
But what did he hear on battle ground?
Calm and quiet situation with no sound
Slain soldiers and blood all around
No one to cry for them or to be found
'Such a human cost to claim victory'
Emperor thought and felt so much sorry
Thousands were lying dead and no one to claim
He felt regret and whispered 'i this the outcome of aim'?
Suddenly his heart ached for human being
Even though he was emperor and big kind
No neighbors can now raise head in rebellion
He was the sole head of entire region
'No, No, such should not be heavy price!
Why large number of innocents should be killed for one promise?
He wanted to rule entire world and claim as an emperor
But had no goal spreading in minds any kind of terror
He had no joy for tremendous victory
Entire world was at his feet but full of worry
Not a single man should now be killed
Only peace and not war should be called
He denounced world and accepted sainthood
Sent her daughter to spread the message in neighborhood
He thought 'World is so hollow and need human care and attention'
He went for Buddhism in search of human tolerance and tradition

The Peace Women Drum On Their Peace Drums
The Peace Women drum on their peace drums in hope that the war men may hear
The war men who wage war on others the influential bullies who live far from here
The bullies who wage their so called war on terror who themselves are responsible for brutal acts of shame
Yet the bombing and murdering continues despite the blame and counter blame.
The Peace Women drum on their peace drums and they sing in the sunlight of day
In hope the winds their peaceful message will carry the power of thought powerful they say
They drum for peace amongst Humankind and for an end to violence everywhere
The poor in war zones those who suffer and they drum for a World that's more fair.
The Peace Women marvellous people let's hope in their quest they succeed
For a peaceful and a better World their energy something we need
They drum and sing for the murdered war children and the mothers who mourn their loss
Their burden of sorrow is heavy they need help to shoulder their cross.
The Peace Women drum on their peace drums they are putting their message out there
Their message that may enlighten peace wreckers and their damaged souls may repair
They drum and sing in the park in the sunshine in the cool shadow of the trees
And their message of peace it is carried away in the freshening breeze

Let Us All Unite and Ensure That No Longer Such Mishaps Repeat
Savita Halappanavar could have been saved
Had the dead fetus been surgically removed in time
This surgical procedure cannot be termed abortion
As the fetus ceased to be fetus as it is dead
When Savita requested for its removal
We are advanced and ever advancing
But why can't we come out of the shell of
Religious dogmas
And show the world that
We are human beings first and then only
We identify ourselves
With the nation we are born in
With the religion we are practicing
With the language we speak
With the community we hail from
We failed to identify as a human being
In the process
We lost a woman for no fault of hers
This version is making rounds as of now, but
Whom to blame, as a life is lost
The doctors probably allowed Savita to suffer
As still they claim there was fetal heart beat
Might have ventured a risk
Thinking that Savita would stand that for some more time
Before going for the surgical intervention
But death won the race
This version too makes it round
The land where this tragedy occurred is
Too well known for its pre and post natal care
And hence some find it difficult to believe
That such an incident gets reported
As negligence and gynecologists of that land never go together
Some talk about protest against anti-abortion lobbyists
Some talk about religious adherence
Some talk about racial discrimination
Some talk about so many other things
Let us forget all that
Let this unforeseen death be not become a divide between us
Let us console the widower
Let us pray for peace of the departed soul
Let us extend apologies to bereaved families
If the death has really occurred because of human error
Either technical or otherwise
Let us all unite and ensure
That no longer such mishaps repeat

They Gave Their All
I may not understand the wars
Or the fields of rotting corpses
I've read all the poems
Of wars from the past
And cannot imagine
The life lived back then
A blood soaked battlefield
Death wading with glee
At those that have fallen
For the right to be free
So many souls lost in time
Fighting a cause, humanity blind
Dare I say, what I read?
In between the lines
A poet soldier
Who needs to be free?
Do I have a right?
To question their fight
They gave their all
In what they believed
Teardrops fall as I continue my rhyme
But what I do understand
Is that they fought through all the wars
So that we can be free
To choose our lives
And live to be
What we want to be
All the bloodshed fields
The entire hero's lost in wars
I bow my head, and pray to thee
Thank you all
For letting me breathe
To learn and discover
The meaning of me
Tears trickle down
As I cry for your loss
You never got the chance to be free
You never found your path in life
You never came home to your loved ones, friends, and family
So what gives us the right?
The generation of today
To say how boring
Our life is today
When those in war
Never had a full life
They gave it all
So we could be free
To live a full life
I thank the hero's
Of past, present and yet to be
What so sad for humankind
Is that war is our history
Perhaps in the future
We can see peace and harmony
Perhaps dare I say it
A world weapon free
