Loss of life
To loose some one in family means a total loss
Sit in prayer’s house and look at the cross
Show the helplessness and lament for futility of life
Think of hollow relation with parent, brother including wife
It takes place much to our disliking and discomfort
We can’t save a person despite making earnest efforts
This is tragic part and one takes it lying low
No one can avoid it and has to allow
It is unbearable and sometimes causing mental imbalance
The scene was different in home in somebody’s presence
Now it wears deserted look and totally embarrassing
You can notice visibly that something else is missing
You can hardly express the sorrow
As you won’t know what will happen tomorrow
We may have to depart in the same way
Leave behind everything and go away
There may descend misfortune and gloom
You won’t be able to cry in place or room
Yet it may fall heavily on your solder
You will be waging battle as if on border
You may have to come out of it quickly
It may take place regularly or weekly
Sometimes not in months or years
Still we afraid to hear those cries in ears
Let us realize its importance
Who ever has come on earth must depart at once
It may be now or years later
It has to be accepted in true spirit of the letter
We may feel temporarily for the loss
There may be some lull or definite pause
But one will have to regain and move forward
This is life and there is no use looking backward

Chance to rise
There should be no surprise
One has every chance to rise
Fall is also certain and for imminent
There is nothing more to comment
There can not be any lies
You only have to rely
There can be little delay
But ultimately you may have to go away
It is simple journey and has to be taken forward
There is no point in looking backward
Whoever has taken birth has to expire
The life is taken as if on hire
It does hardly matter if some one meets tragic death
It is customary on our part to lay wreath
How helplessly we feel when some one departs
The person learns futility of life and starts
Something should be performed for better
You can’t leave it indefinitely or for later
The same opportunity may be lost for ever
You can come out of it successfully however
Yet once gone means taken as gone for ever
You should also leave and think of it never
Life is another name to make misses and regain
It should not be left only to experience pain

Express Loss
How can you grieve and express loss?
Do you cry loud think or choose?
Stay in corner and get lost in memory
Stay with gloomy face under deep worry
God needs them most in His Courtroom
Where as there was no dearth for others with room
Person may be precious like fine star in the sky
Shined for few hours and immediately chosen to fly
We feel world as hollow
We think sun may not shine tomorrow
Nights may be all worthless
We may have lot many problems to chase
Such might have been the dominant position
The loss caused to family is sudden imposition
Family may take some time to adjust the shock
They have yet to come out of it to take the stock
Even though we are aware of uncertainty
We leave it to good wisdom of almighty
It is natural to shed a tear over loss
We follow the natural and consider it as divine cause
Think of no control on life span
Human beings might have made lots of plans
Nobody would have preferred quitting of their own
So almighty has taken control in hand and made it known
We attribute untimely death as decided by destiny
Some of us may not reconcile or come to terms fully
Yet the helplessness is openly seen on the face
Life has been termed as adventurous but as uncertain race
So always we talk of great wisdom
Raise hands in disgust cry foul seldom
Somewhere we realize its futility
Suddenly come down to terms as inability

Family?
Do, I have a Family?
If you ask me
I have no family merely associates
For families are genarally suppose to be filled with love
Mine is filled with hatred and with pain.
I am the perfect example of a 21st century family
Due to the mishaps of this world, my mother is a single parent
Much like now most of the world.
And as the years go by it only gets worse.
Families used to be loving, or at least that's what I 've heard.
Why can't we bring back family to what it was?
A mother, a father and children, living under one roof with love
For me, for years I lived afraid for my life, a confused little girl
Without a helpful hand in sight.
Everytime I trusted a man I got burned in the proccess
Only six yet I was afraid because of this.
Because of my 'so-called' family.
Why do they do this to me? !
I can never even look upon my 'brother' the same
For to me he is no longer a brother.
And I do not know how to express my pain, with sorrow or laughter?
Someone please save me from this disaster!
Who do you run to for help
When your family is causing the pain
And the matters are to far- fetched for the police?
Who do you trust and who do you call?
Definetly not your family.
So, now again I ask you
DO I HAVE A FAMILY?

Love Is Not Limited
Neither love is limited to an individual
Nor can it be taken as normal or casual
It is sort of fulfillment if got right companion
A strong bond to develop and form a union
May be it is divine feeling that pulls us towards
Make person to surrender unconditionally and look forward
If all goes well then it becomes easy to adjust in life
As generally happens, girl takes over responsibility and acts as wife
Many promises are given before marriage and repeated
The intention is to reassure and never meant to be cheated
Yet it faces rough weather and unusual things take place
Both get entangled and sometimes sadness takes over on the face
Life is tied to knot and that becomes holy link
All memorable events are inscribed in heart with ink
That makes life altogether different and worthwhile
All events go serially and later on forms as memory file
I was not lucky enough to catch him as prize
It shocked me and shattered my dream with total surprise
He declined to accept me and offered unbearable accusations
This was enough to halt the phase and to rethink of relation
I was under the sky again with silver moon at its zenith
My anxiety was increasing with halt in breaths
Heart was skipping a beat and all hell was let loose
I failed to judge my partner and there was some lapse to choose
He was very reasonable person but deceived me at crucial time
What had to think about him and offer anything sometime?
He blew me into pieces and created place for isolation
There was tragic end with no direction to search in relation
In corner I wept for burial of good relation and acquaintance
We were known for exemplary relation and was sighted as good instance
Alas! Fate played a mischief to prove how helpless we were?
If that was destined to take place then only it could take somewhere
I rubbed off tears and came out in open as steel woman
I might have felt bad but after all will have to act as human
Life can be moved on trust and respect for each other
Things may develop suddenly and lead you to bother

A Comeback
takes time to realize
that the place you hate
the place you left years ago
now on your return
becomes your hiding place
away from sorrow
the place where you bury
your past
now becomes your future

On Receiving A Letter From Marie
I wrote to the Sullivan family on the death of family member Catherine it seemed for me the proper thing to do
They were my friends and neighbours when I lived in Millstreet and to our old friends we must remain true
I was not expecting a letter in return and it came as a big surprise to me
When I received a letter from Catherine's elder sister Marie she now is Mrs Cregan from Tralee.
Marie from Claraghatlea one I remember her shiny wavy hair was chestnut brown
A cheerful and a very friendly person one of the nicest west of Millstreet Town
A warm hearted and a charming lady she always greeted with a big smile and hello
And hearing from her in her time of sorrow brought back the memories of long ago.
When she and Catherine and their younger brother James were going to school in Millstreet all three I recall were younger than I
Those were the happiest days that I remember but on looking back the years just seemed to fly
And our youthful Seasons for us went too quickly and the lust for wander carried us away
From Duhallow and the meadows west of Millstreet where in Summer weather we made cocks of hay.
She told me in her letter how she grieves for her sister Catherine they always were a close knit family
Our crosses to bear can sometimes prove quite heavy and how sad so very sad this life can be?
But time as we know is the greatest healer and though the pain of loss to heal may seem quite slow
As time goes by from her grief she will recover and her ache of loss from her eventually will go.
A surprise letter from Marie for to thank me for sympathy in writing I'd expressed at a family loss
The passing of Catherine at a young age tragic and on the family such a heavy cross
For Catherine her suffering is over though she did not live on to grow old and gray
And for Marie grieving for her beloved sister the ache of loss in time will fade away.

Are They Really Brothers?
Can we call someone brother, who believes and follows another,
A different Gospel opposed to us, who believe, alone in Jesus?
Some lift up the image of man, while they follow a religious plan,
Portraying Christ on the cross, even after His victory for the lost.
Shouldn’t we help them to see, He’s no longer dying on Calvary?
But, Christ rose from the dead, and reigns on His Throne instead.
Shouldn’t we bring men to faith, through God’s unmerited Grace?
Trust in Christ’s work on the cross, without all that religious dross.
Some even believe in ritual prayer, to saints who aren’t even there,
At the place in which they intercede, for that believer’s every need.
Shouldn’t we help them understand, we are God’s Saints at hand?
That very moment we truly believe, and The Holy Spirit we receive.
What if they haven’t truly believed, then leave this earth deceived?
There’s no place called Purgatory, to suffer before going to Glory.
Apart from Christ, they will not see, that Glory of Heaven eternally,
So we must move them in love, toward the only Truth from above.
Christ Himself will say to many, even all, who knew religion plenty,
“Depart from me”, for He never knew, any whose faith wasn’t True,
Man’s religion thoroughly equips, men for profession with the lips,
But, without true faith in one’s heart, one will not enter, only depart.

Broken Family
Her family is broken.
Her father's never home and when
he is, he doesn't even notice her.
Her brother is never here, always with
his girlfriend just so he can escape
this place. Her sister the drug addict
and alcoholic, takes her kid to
her ‘husbands' house where he
beats her and treats her like a slave,
cheating on her all the time.
Her mom doesn't care anymore,
just ignores everyone, just like her father.
She herself has given up on this broken family.
It may not seem as broken as the worst but
it's broken enough
for the little girl to
end her life. Leaving behind her family.
They wake up and realize
that their family is broken.
When it's too late

A Whisper
there is a whisper that arrived in our
little place
it's name is loneliness and it is looking
for someone that it has known years ago
in the place where it is living
it is knocking every door of the house
and someone opens it
it mentions my name and it asks whether
i still live here
someone takes the courage of telling it
that my house is about two hills away
from here
finally we meet. It stares at me. Closely.
Then it hugs me. It cries. It kissess my ears.
I am silent. I am still thinking of you for all
these years. Time cannot heal. And then the
whisper stays inside my ears. Silenced.
It is not saying any word anymore.
The neighbors know that its name
is loneliness.

I Go Down
I go down with heavy heart
I have failed to propagate the art
Could not make its essence known in true spirit
Even though it was noble and in its limit
You can fool people for considerable period
They may have compulsions not to avoid
When here is no choice between good and devil
Got to accept whatever is before us or on anvil
I think many times of life’s futility and its importance
I think no one takes serious interest to know it at once
Nothing goes wrong even if life is not understood
We can live entire life for availing money and food
I have prayed several times sincerely
I could achieve nothing or put up show rarely
If I pursue with great zeal it may be taken as pomp and show
Where as it is the only way open for us to grow
Some of the acts require nothing in substance
It needs some kind gesture and tolerance hence
To loose the patience is gravest mistake
Many may present it as totally fake
You have done hard work through out the life
It has remained unpredictable and strife torn
What do we know from entire projection?
Nothing more is done to prevent its fall from action?
Many more souls might have departed this before
I deliberately sit and continuously think therefore
What for have I been sent here as perishable object?
How can I openly go against certain things and reject?
It is normal reaction from human being as live entity
On earth you are being considered as humanly with good quality
Leave it to others to decide what is good or bad
You have no right to profess or feel so sad

some will strut and some will fret
see this an hour on the stage
others will not but they'll sweat
in their hopelessness and their rage
we're all the same the men of anger
and women of the page
they published your diary
and that's how i got to know you
the key to the room of your own and a mind without end
and here's a young girl
on a kind of a telephone line through time
and the voice at the other end comes like a long lost friend
so i know i'm all right
life will come and life will go
still i feel it's all right
cause i just got a letter to my soul
and when my whole life is on the tip of my tongue
empty pages for the no longer young
the apathy of time laughs in my face
you say "each life has its place"
the hatches were battened
the thunderclouds rolled and the critics stormed
the battle surrounded the white flag of your youth
if you need to know that you weathered the storm
of cruel mortality
a hundred years later i'm sitting here living proof
so you know you're all right
(all right)
life will come and life will go
(life will come and go)
still you'll feel it's all right

someone'll get a letter to your soul
(someone gets your soul)
when your whole life is on the tip of your tongue
empty pages for the no longer young
the apathy of time laughed in your face
did you hear me say "each life has its place"
the place where you hold me
dark in a pocket of truth
the moon had swallowed the sun and the light of the earth
and so it was for you
when the river eclipsed your life
and sent your soul like a message in a bottle to me
and it was my rebirth
so we know we're all right

Little Born
I rememebred my little born
It has left me shocked and torn
He is no more in this lovely world
He breathed for a while and left us in cold
I remembered how my parent had felt
When someone had died in the family left
It was leaving behind great shock and despair
A vaccume never to be filed or a loss repaired
Today I am head of the family and responsible person
I will never go sad without any reason
Small problems will not bother me at all
I shall deal it as and when they make call
If someone takes birth in family, it is different joy
We have lot more to celebrate and enjoy
We may plan who new born is to be treated
But more important is how far we are happy and elated
It is not in our hand to avoid the natural mishaps
It may be some kind of accident or early death
It causes concern and deep grief
Even though we may try to over come to get relief
What drives me desperately to go little wild?
Why almighty is not little kind?
Why new born must be taken away immediately upon birth?
Why is it so essential to pronounce him with death?
There may be ideal place for soul to rest
It is somewhat considered as best
No one comes there to disturb
It is nice, essential and superb
It makes me to think about futility
It is one kind of deterrence but to reach divinity
That is nice gift almighty has arranged
We are all to be aware of it and reconciled
My grief is over the loss of child
But desperation driving me wild
It becomes unbearable when new born is not even taking a breath
The baby is snatched away cruelly by the death

About self
It has been horrifying tale to narrate about self
It is full of bad ad good qualities lying deep heart shelf
It may never come out to the knowledge of even close friends
Some of the things may be known when life nears to an end
It is individual who only shapes the destiny
In doing so he gets help and extension from many
Yet it remains his own struggle and brave front
Which can realize and end in reality if he wants?
“I” has no relevance if performed in isolation
If may find some place if found strong relation
It may find honorable place with some nice indication
Lots of praise and flowers for good works in felicitations
“I also mean confirmation of powerful ego
In no way it can find place and has to go
No one may tolerate any proudly person
With whatever intention or meaningful reasons
With so many ups and down
You can have something of your own
Whether it comes with your wisdom
Or can reach you seldom
Life is constant flow
You may receive applauses or blows
Yet it has to move and go forward
There is no chance to look backward
“I 'mean nothing in sense
It may make you happy or go tense
You are single entity to emerge as one
Have to think self and curse no one
So to know self is really a Herculean task
No one may come to know if you are wearing mask
It is better to shed self image for noble cause
It you can’t do it then maintain distance with pause

To realize the value
To realize the value of a sister ask someone who doesn't have one...To realize the value of ten years ask a newly divorced couple... To realize the value of four years ask a graduate...To realize the value of one year ask a student who has failed the final exam...To realize the value of nine months who gave birth to a still born...To realize the value of one week ask an editor of a weekly newspaper...To realize the value of one minute ask a person who has missed the train, bus, or plane...To realize the value of one second ask a person who has survived an accident...time waits for no one, treasure it even more when you share it with someone special...To realize the value of a friend or family member >Lose One...

Jealous Nature
Earthly love so soon corrupts,
And others peace, it interrupts:
The jealous human nature fears
A loss, if other love appears.
It's not our choice; second place
Means loss of power, loss of face;
To give up our own sovereign crown,
And sense the ties that bind, unbound.
If our magic touch seems gone
We think it best to move along;
Place faith then in another heart,
Till death or some new love, doth part.

At Late Night
'Where are you going at late night? '
A friend asked to his son in dead light
'Just o see his condition and be right back'
'But don't forget to take helmet when on bike'
'Alright papa, worry not as the place is near by'
'I shall remember your advice and certainly try'
Those were the last words heard when he sped away
I too left the friend as preferred not to stay
Bad luck would have a day and he did not return
He had struck road divider and dashed to ground in turn
He lost life instantly and could not be informed
All of suddenly the gloom had cast and family was stormed
Had he listened to the advice of father and put helmet?
Probably he could have not mate the ill fate
But alas! We are guided by Almighty's wish
Life can be ended any time and finished
In our day to day life some times we remain unconcerned
Take no safety precaution and force family members to bother
They remain worried till you come back safely
The same is repeated several times and adhered to lately
Even though it is not in our hand but can certainly avoid
Death may take over anytime when it has severely laid
We watch helplessly at the tragic demise of member
At that time we lament not to have obeyed the advice and remember
Let us not be that much dependant on hear say stories
But certainly it leads to some unexpected losses and worries
If we remain cautious then at least we may have some satisfaction
Else we may repent whole life not to have taken into account any indication
Always think about life and death as inseparable part
Any living thing that is on earth has to depart
No one here is immortal and has few days, months to his credit
If you are lucky to find another day then love it and greet

Peaceful Shells
Peaceful waves calming breeze brings out the strength in me
I whisper wishes of lost love of hope of a dream
What makes this place so full so un hollow
I wonder when I leave this place could the peace ever follow
A shadow in my wake
A pleasing sound a memory I make
The sea is far behind me as I depart
The tears fall down my face before I even start
I have to leave the sea far behind
The shell in my hand a calling of another time
I had to leave the wonder of the sea
So I brought the shell home with me
A part of the sea taken away
Like me doomed another day
away

In Bed
I am bed ridden and admitted in hospital
I get disheartened on doctor’s arrival
May thoughts cross over in mind?
Doctors come treat me and be very kind
I am totally afraid of death
I know how people offer wreath
Hey will be sobbing and remain in tears
I go berserk and loose heart to bear
I know no harm will be done
All illness may disappear and certainly gone’
I shall be back home with full cheers
I shall smile again without any tears
It is time to express our gratitude
And this should be general attitude
No need to express grief, sorrow
He has done all well for tomorrow
The illness can’t be contributed to anything
That can take place with anybody for something
It is body and may fell apart any time
Don’t think negative about it anytime
Keep only one faith
That may avoid the death
Rest everything is decided and in time
We may miss and curse it sometimes
