Promises

I promised myself, in the morning to be good until the night
but my willpower, it was lacking and the cake was in my sight.
I promised myself in the evening, I'd abstain from typing texts
when lying on the sofa while he was looking vexed.
I promised myself to stop swearing but much to my disgust
I blurted out the naughty words when I was feeling rough.

A need to afford

I can’t afford to remain off the guard with endless wait
I follow simple path and go straight
All worldly desires don’t appeals to me and fall on deaf ears
As if everything has been drained out with the passing of years

I remained on guard and thought to work on right
Considered rivals as friends and decided not to fight
Nothing went right as per plan and it failed to deliver
I still remained defiant in belief and firm believer

Let others try anything and go high and dry
I shall always look forward and try
May be that things may not turn to spring surprise
Surely it may not cripple the wings when sun rise

Life is really adventurous
It may prove hard and tortuous
All colors may not remain permanent and fade away

I never thought i'd truly be loved by another

A clear emotions

I tried to hide the emotions to put brave front
It surfaced again to counter and confront
Was that so difficult to suppress and confine
Nothing was going my way and didn’t look fine

Eyes were swollen and red with some pain
They were not bright as ever or looked plain
It carried so much behind it and reflected
Some one as if had deliberately inflicted

I understood the importance of being alone
Was not the life journey to be cut as one?
What was the use of showing it to the strangers?
I was in continuous rage and in anger

What would I tell if I happened to see him?
How will I hide the red eyes which will definitely beam?
Still it was far off to result it in reality
I was in his life a special entity

I still confronted him and expressed an ire
“What do you see in my eyes and admire
I shall be happy if you can just put it right”
He stood motionless but did not loose sight

I smiled at him and threw a poser
He read and understood it as composer
“I see complete sea deep treasure
But have no words to express pleasure”

I can see the anguish behind your good smile
You are deep in thought for a while
You think how would we cover an extra mile?
I promise to take you across meanwhile

I can read each and every word

Lost

You left me with the autumn time;
When the winter stripped the forest bare,
Then dressed it in his spotless rime;
When frosts were lurking in the air
You left me here and went away.
The winds were cold; you could not stay.

You sought a warmer clime, until
The south wind, artful maid, should break
The winter's trumpets, and should fill
The air with songs of birds; and wake
The sleeping blossoms on the plain
And make the brooks to flow again.

I thought that the winter desolate,
And all times felt a sense of loss.
I taught my longing heart to wait,
And said, 'When Spring shall come across
The hills, with blossoms in her track,
The she, our loved one, will come back.'

And yet I feel my grievous loss.

I saw her smile from across the room

The days are shorter and nights still longer
