I Could Wink No More

I could wink no more
Endless wait and more to explore
She may rush to see me
Make me feel easy and free

Things are not happening my way
She has willingly gone away
To search new poems for world
Here I shiver with fear and feel cold

Natural poets need no seclusion
The idea comes out amidst confusion
Heart cries out with pain and agony
Here comes out poem naturally

She has her own style to project
Catch fancy ideas and inject
Into fine piece from the trajectory
To flow with plot without feeling sorry

She lacks good punch
Sometimes misses out her complete lunch
When she is with me and around
Her presence is no where to be found

She may not respond to my query
Look at sky, get some answer and feel merry
She whispers sometimes' you have elegant style'
I shall catch your glimpse and write meanwhile

She is extraordinary and has beautiful face
I look at her secretly and participate in race
I get inspiration from her endless search
I paint those ideas in my poem before she finally reaches

Alas! She could take me along
I know her well and never gone wrong
But she trusts me only in day to day affair
Poetry is her exclusive domain and to some extent she is fair

I will bring her to some sense by pinching
She may feel offended as if I was clinching
Her ideas and plots very much needed
I express sorry and regret and shake head as point conceded

Does any one think that two people should not be of same quality?
Working in same field with equal zeal and capability?
I feel it as unnecessary reference and slip away
She has her own style and elegant way

She will speak with me for endless hours
Make fine gesture with sweet words while on tour
I shall fail to smile but understand her personality
She is there to stay in my life as wife and strength of morality

Being A Poet

I find that I can compose a poem best,
When I am out walking, or am at rest.
When I am lying in my bed at night,
I think about what I am able to write.

Or when I’m out walking, or sat on a train,
Words and ideas, all rush round my brain.
Sometimes, ideas just appear in my head,
Or may be a result of something I’ve read.

At fellow passengers, on a train, I take a look;
Some chatter away, while others read a book.
But, me, I’m sat there, quietly composing verse;
With dozens of ideas, my creative mind bursts.

If I compose lines on my way into town,
I repeat them over, until I write them down;
If they are not written down straightaway,
Around my mind, other thoughts then play.

There are many things which inspire me to write,
Such as animals, the seasons, and the sky at night.
If I try to force ideas, they just do not flow;
The poem itself, I find, just will not grow.

I like to write on a layperson’s level;
In too much information, I do not revel.
Having chosen a decent subject or idea,
I then need to get my brain in to gear.

Of a subject, I like to consider all of the aspects,
But I keep my writing simple; not too complex.
To make a poem rhyme, words I may change,
But I only use words that are within my range.

In using unfamiliar words, I can see no point;
A nice poem, tricky words, can really disjoint.
Words, within my head, I keep batting around,
Until the perfect combination, is finally found.

With poetry, I really love the creative process,
But over time, I’ve become slightly obsessed.
Sometimes I find myself talking in rhyme;
That I am a poet, this must be a sure sign.

Of my finished poems, I often feel proud;
One day, I’ll be brave and read them aloud.
Into my swirling head, ideas continue to pop;
I love writing poetry and never want to stop!

An Idea

An Idea can change the world, how many
things can be done from an idea, every piece
of object was an idea, sense the beginning of
time idea was the first thought created in the
mind, an idea is what surround’s every being.
But an idea is still only an idea and it can't be
felt, you cannot touch an idea or kiss it, or hold it,
ideas do not bleed or feel pain or love, an idea
cannot be seen or heard, its created in our thoughts,
but then again an idea can become real. An idea
can be what ever you which it to be, an idea can
be destructive, an idea can be brilliant, I've seen
people get killed in the name of ideas, ideas,
we walk around with a little
light bulb blinking in our thoughts, ideas.

(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman

Lookin' out on the morning rain,
I used to feel so uninspired,
And when I knew I had to face another day,
Oh, it'd make me feel so tired
Before the day I met you,
Life was so unkind,
But you're the key to my piece of mind
CHORUS:
'Cause you make me feel,
You make me feel,
You make me feel like a natural woman (woman)
When my soul was in the lost and found,
You came along to claim it,
I didn't know just what was wrong with me, no,
Still your kiss helped me name it
Now I'm no longer doubtful of what I'm living for,
'Cause if I make you happy I don't need to do more
CHORUS
Oh, baby watcha done to me?
Ooh, you make me feel so good inside,
And I just a-wanna be
Close to you, you make me feel so alive
CHORUS:
You make me feel,
You make me feel (Oh, you make me feel),
You make me feel like a natural woman (woman)
You make me feel (Oh, you make me feel),
You make me feel,
You make me feel like a natural woman...

Love Poets

The love poets sit and write psalms or
songs with the extension of their palms
they sit and wait untill they catch a glimpse of you
Because girls like you are the inspiration
The poet is dying to find a way to re-create your beauty
but what we create can only do so much as to aleviate
The stress that builds on our chest,
I feel it everytime i sit beside you
I jot down lyrics each time i sight you
and if i could slip you this kiss you
could circle yes, no or maybe, despite who might see

Your the inspiration that keeps me writing without end
You make me wish i had and unlimited amount of ink in this pen
because each time i write a poem, and you that its about
I start describing why i love you, and the ink in my pen just runs out
You could say im a love poet, but what
would these be without you.
Every syllable, line, metaphor is completely about you
Just, dig through the meaning
I hope you start to understand what my feelings are
Because when i write poetry, i feel this bar set by you and i cant reach
I want to incorporate your beauty into my poems, please teach
since this lesson would take much longer than 1 session
I cant wait for you and i to continue this progression

So Good So Right

This one is special for all the ladies
You never know I was that type of man
So good so right so good so, so good so
right so good so
So good so right so good so, so good so
right so good so
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
But you keep on watching the time,
Wondering what's on my mind
So you say you can't stay too long, cause
You know what I'm all a...
What I'm all about, what I'm all about
I don't have to sing and shout, what I'm
All about
You know what I'm all about
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Yes it's the truth it's the fact, I'm coming
To you straight from
The back in a mastering room style
Don't be shy, don't you lie, look into my
Eye
I'll tell you why, I'll teach you about
Feeling high
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Never before have you seen this, so I say
This feeling sink within my head, oh yea,
Oh yea
Never before have you believe it, so I mean
What I say
You just got to be yourself
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Yea, feel so good about something so
Right could it last another night
A feel so good about something so right
A feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
So good so right so good so, so good so
Right so good so
So good so right so good s, so good so
Right so good so
Yes it is the strife of my life, to explain
What's in my brain
If you believe what I say, baby, baby
A check in, check in, check check, check in
Check in
Check in, check in, check in, a check in,
Check in, check into my hotel
A feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
A feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
So good, so right, so good, so right, so
Good, so right
So right, I feel so good could it last
Another night
A feel so right could it last another
Night
A feel so good something so right, so
Good
Lord, I said I feel so right
A feel so good, oh could it last another
Night
A feel so right, oh could it last another
Night
A feel so good oh could it last another
Night
A feel so right oh could it last another
Night
So good, o right, so good, so right, so
Good, so good, so right

The poem that got away

I started a poem with a serious intent…
but who would ever guess the mess, and where that poem went?
I’d barely writ a line so fine, when the poem turned to me,
looked me in the eye and ear, and laughed demonic-lee,

pranced around me, singing, boo! you can’t catch me!
ain’t no rules nor grammar for the boldheart and the free!
race you round the chocabloc, poetic chairbound fatty!
you’re just like every pompous poet, thinking always that he

can control a poem with a life that’s its own!
tries to rhyme each couplet up, as if lines were circus clones…
tries to measure poems by some rules about their feet, or
wants to match my singing lines to some archaic meter…

’cause I’m a poem!
I’ve got my own life!
I want to dance around the streets,
I want to join a band!
I’ve got so much to tell you,
I want to lift your heart…
I want to make you weepy too,
If that’s the way I feel..
I want to talk to children,
or to live in fantasy;
I want to feel much bolder
than this sillybilly world,
quick and slick and fancy-free;
and sail past time and space;
or wonder what it could be like
before the world began…
I want to shuffle words around,
like books upon a shelf;
I want to be all bold and free –
I want to be – myself!

So boo to all your metered rhymes,
you faded, jaded poet…
poems are the masters now…
it’s much more fun,
it’s just begun…and
it’s time for you to know it! …

The Story Of A Search For A Poem

A man went in search of a Poem
He searched everywhere he walked
He searched inside himself
He searched inside the poems of others
He searched and searched -

And what came to him were fragments of many poems
And he thought perhaps that they themselves were the poem
But they refused to be satisfied with themselves-

So he searched for a way to put them together-
But in searching came upon more fragments
With each new fragment totally re-ordering those that had gone before-

So he thought ‘I went looking for one poem but found many
Perhaps there are only many poems’

And he began to write them down
And felt at times that he had found many poems
But always too he knew he had not found the one-

So he searched and searched again
And could not find the Poem-

He is still searching
And does not know where the poem is
Sometimes he thinks it is hidden in the many already written
But he does not have the eye to discern it the heart to feel it-

He now is surrounded by poems-
They are everywhere-
But he still cannot find the One Poem which is the Poem for him
The Poem which is his Poem and his Poem alone-

He says he is still searching and will search to the end of his days
But he is old now and soon may be too weak to search
And so the Poem he seeks the one he has longed for all his life
May never be found
Though he goes on searching still.

The Written Word Rules!

At the idea of poetry, some people seem to scoff,
As they consider it is an art form only for toffs.
They may think that the concept of poetry is boring,
And that it will leave them fast asleep and snoring.
There are all types of poems: modern and classical.
There’s something for everyone: it’s not boring at all.
The lyrics of songs are poems as such;
They often rhyme together very much.
People like to sing along with their favourite songs,
So why does the concept of poetry feel so wrong?
I’ve only started writing poetry in the last few weeks,
And, I have to admit that I thought it was just for geeks.
But, now I can see, that whoever you are,
Everyone has the potential to go really far.

I have to admit, I much prefer
The written, to the spoken word.
At night, I lay awake tossing and turning in bed,
With random thoughts running through my head.
By my pillow, I keep a pen and note pad,
To jot down any thoughts, which I’ve had.
At the top of the page, my thoughts I jot,
And I always plan out a really rough plot.
I like to include words which have a nice ring.
Words, like these, into my poetry, I like to bring.
I continually go through the alphabet time after time,
Searching for useful words which, pretty much, rhyme.
In simple terms, my ideas, I always like to express;
Complicated and fancy words, my mind doesn’t posses.

I’m sat here, writing this poem, on a speeding train,
As thought after thought, floods into my brain.
I’m writing notes on a mini pocket timetable,
In any tiny blank space which is available.
In my handbag, I’ve got no pad, but I’ve got a pen;
My scribbled notes, I just hope I can comprehend.
I really must start carrying a notepad everywhere;
To forget all these thoughts I’ve had, I couldn’t bear.
When I’m thinking of ideas, I just can’t relax;
My mind seems to buzz to the absolute max.
I’m not far now from my final destination,
And the train is due to pull into the station.
On this subject, there’s not much more to be said,
So, I’m now putting this poem well and truly to bed.

The way you make me feel

The way you make me feel
~
I like you way you make me feel
Sometimes stupid sometimes like a hero
Your smile has a way of playing me
You have lit a fire inside of my heart
You make me feel all kinds of happy
You make me feel new again
~
I see the rain becoming romantic
Because we can stay in together
Drinking wine with the candles lit
Music playing into the background
While shadows of our silhouettes kiss
And I know what you mean to me
The importance of it all becomes clear
~
What words can express what you mean
What can I say to tell you everything
You mean more than words to me
And I may be smiling like a fool
Daydreaming little fantasies of you
Catching myself feeling happier than ever
I like the way you make me feel
~
You are beautiful and full of life
You are strong and spirited in mind
We make each other laugh so easily
And always find a conversation piece
I’m amazed at what you mean to me
And smiling as I am smiling right now
I like the way you make me feel

Tears On Face

How come my desperation on surface?
How my eyes show tears with crying face?
What reaction people may get from my sad appearance?
What makes this so apparent with its presence?

I shall prefer to mix with children
Play with them and forget pain even
I shall try to test their innocence
Forget about everything called romance

I would mix with strangers
Try to know their wishes, happiness and anger
Will not compare with what I am suffering
But try to know what can make them happy by my offering

I would not like to miss gentle wind
Coolness, breeze and everything to find
How one can give happiness at little try?
I would then assess fairly and feel very shy

I would not cry when hear baby’s cry
It will her or his earnest try
To adjust with new world
Then how can I feel bad and turn cold?

I shall avoid evil’s company
That will be offered willingly by many
I shall shut the eyes and search for something new
Then it will be different thing on face to view

I shall seek melody in some verses
Harmonize it with words and themes
I shall seek birds to sing with me
Make me feel good with ideas totally free

I shall look at shining sun beam
They have reflection of my dream
I shall not be alone but part of team
As plant will try to come out of stem

Why did I forget that happiness lies within?
Only heart was required to win
Rest was within contentment and happiness
The joy and happiness would have clearly been seen on the face.

Just to Get You Out and Away

The poem is stuck on my tongue, and is between the gears in my head.
It changes from a love poem then to a deep, dark, and depressing one again.
Well it did match the weather outside.
Why is it that, staring at this piece of blank paper, can’t my poem be on it.
It is a figment! No, a fragmented thought that needs to be complete.
Where’s the inspiration to draw you out?
The elegant and superfluous words need you; they call you.
They call out as did Romeo called out to fair Juliet.
Actually, the poem doesn’t want fancy word play.
Could be, maybe it should be a poem that can rhyme...with time!
Thinking about that, I don’t think so.
This poem is stubborn to bring forth.
Screw you undetermined poem ever changing in my head!
Here I’ll write one for you.
In this, I expel you from clogging my thoughts.
Go now, drift into someone else’s mind.
Stop there concentration until they rid of you.

Free Bird

I feel free bird today
I thought it required no attention to pay
Yet it was something new to me
As I always remained with tension and worry

Had I struck a jackpot?
Was I declared best on the spot?
I had no reason to feel delighted
I tried to assess but reasons were not sighted

It is good and life time chance
That can come hardly at once
One must avail it with full grace
With broad and free smile on the face

Even otherwise you can feel and remain happy
This important aspect is missed by so many
You need not find reason to be overjoyed
Every moment is precious and must be enjoyed

I tried to shed away the illusion
I wanted to have no more confusion
How can I do away with natural gift?
I needed only fine gesture with complete shift

It is one of the good and fine art
One must behave well and feel very smart
The joy and happiness is within
It is you only who can decide loss or win

Nothing may matter even if you remain in isolation
It can, in no way, build the strong relation
You can display it on face with strong revelation
The illusion as such may not pose any question

Sir Duke

Music is a world within itself
With a language we all understand
With an equal opportunity
For all to sing, dance and clap their hands
But just because a record has a groove
Dont make it in the groove
But you can tell right away at letter a
When the people start to move
They can feel it all over
They can feel it all over people
They can feel it all over
They can feel it all over people
Music knows it is and always will
Be one of the things that life just wont quit
But here are some of musics pioneers
That time will not allow us to forget
For theres basie, miller, satchmo
And the king of all sir duke
And with a voice like ellas ringing out
Theres no way the band can lose
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
I can feel it all over-all over now people
Cant you feel it all over
Come on lets feel it all over people
You can feel it all over

Poet not to remain quiet

It is essence of poet not to remain quiet
Even though may not have knowledge considered to be basic
The thoughts and images must reach to the masses
As they may have enough of it to read in classes

The flower may not know what fragrance it has
There might not be awareness yesterday as it was
Still there may be bright tomorrow to celebrate
It may be simple try by poet to project and narrate

The poets are called crazy and thought driven
They do not bother for their appearance even
They eat whatever they get and stay wherever they are
The world is so close to them and not very far

They are part of each living object
They accept it in mind and never reject
They try to feel natural belongingness
And it is there as gift to feel oneness

Not all can feel the impulse of nature
Not all can see the well being of future
Only few can breathe with it and survive
They make it perfect and try to revive

It requires third eye to feel the real soul
You may witness it casually and not as whole
You get hurt when something wrong is done to nature
You express sorrow when over apathy to cure

Not that people are cruel and less sentimental
They may be part of bad set up and very much instrumental
Yet poet is different from others and feels grieved
He has the noble soul and her words are respected and believed

Everybody may be passing through critical phase
There may be mad race and long chase
Yet there may be enough of reasonability in approach
Poet may try to project but not attempt to teach or preach

Some of them may be called nationalist
Some one may be well known as futurists
Some may come out as strong supporters of the liberty
Some may prove very good at prayers of almighty

It is not that only poets do great service
People from many walks of life also suffice
Their contribution is well known and of very good standard
It is the basis for which to go ahead and look forward

But the rainbow can only be seen in poetic heart
By little appearance of natural beauty it will simply start
It will pen beautiful words to please old and young alike
Not all the ideas may occur to all or strike

Something is Missing

I went to the fun-fair
To have some fun
Had a lot to see
Then went shopping
Bought some goodies
With ‘him’ and ‘them’.

Came back home
With snacks and sweets
Served them all
And savoured it too
Had a nice evening stroll
In the park and streets.
I enjoyed every bit of it
With ‘him’ and ‘them’
And yet I think
And I did feel that
Something was missing…

So now I write
And I ponder too
What is it
That bothers me
And makes me miss
On all such occasions
When I go out and have fun
With ‘him’ and ‘them’.
It was just not today
But almost every day
On all such outings
And “at home” evenings
I do feel that
Something is missing.

And so I delved deeper in me
And thought of that something
Which never misses me
Nor needs me in its life.
Yes – I know it is a living being
And it is so far away
I cannot make it mine
And yet so close
I always feel it is mine.

That very Being so very far
And yet so close
It always makes me feel
Yes – Something is Missing.

So I kept probing further
Into my consciousness
To find the one thing that is there
Yet still “invisible” and just not there.
And I found that
Something is Missing
Is the one and only
Soul-mate I’ve searched all through…
And yet that mate’s soul never found me.

So I’ll keep feeling till the end of my life
That Something is Missing
Till his soul finds me
Or my soul merges into him.
And my search ends
To find us both
Soul-mates forever
For aeons till eternity…

This is just the Beginning
Of a lifetime search
Seeking its End.
And as they say:
It can take years and years
Of lives and births
Till its destination is reached.
For it is the journey of the soul
To seek its Friend.

It could be an endless wait
For many re-births
Of life and death.
And yet, it could be
Worth the Wait
In my soul’s search
For its Soul-Mate.

Dina-my limited world

I have my own limited world
I live with happiness in small fold
“Dina” is no longer any stranger
She has taken away all my anger

She will bring bundle of love
In form of flower and simply observe
She speaks no word but shy away
I see in her real reflection and way

I really have no idea how to go along
I fear I may go sometimes wrong
I murmur in night with only one name
Dina where are and how you came?

Dina is on wall and clouds carry her impression
I watch it with intense obsession
She has made me to sink
I watch sky without any wink

She took me to a lake side
The water was calm and area looked very wide
I dreamed of carrying her in moon light
Even though she was seated by my right

She is no more making any move
How to go close to her and prove
That I meant to her so many things
She has to catch me for something

She opened mouth to say she is ordinary
Hail from noble family but has lots of worry
She may throw complete weight behind
I was something very dear and precious find

She is nice and comfortable with me
I too remain close and feel very free
She is clever but not that blind
I want her to be caring and very kind

She promises me to be in constant touch
I feel pulse of honesty as such
She is great with full of enthusiasm
I feel she is complete incarnation of humanism

She is not the divine figure
Yet full of energy and very sure
She is brilliant and gifted with intelligence
I can’t remain away without her presence

She is thousands of miles away
Yet she has made permanent home to stay
Blood run in vanes and reach the kind heart
Come back with same zeal and have fresh start

I know she will respond and never desert
She has never intended to insult or hurt
I may err to pick her style but I am very fond
t has totally paralyzed me to think and respond

Inspiration..

Inspiration comes and goes.
I write it down or I’ll forget while searching for a pen.
Inspiration comes and goes.
I get is from dreams or experiences.
Inspiration comes and goes.
But tell me, what inspires you.

I’m inspired by beauty, love and lust.
Giving me words and thought I dare to trust.
It’s inspiration that separates me from the rest.
‘Cause when inspiration comes words fall into place.
And things are beginning to make sense.

Sometimes I’m inspired by sorrow.
When I’m waiting in my bed for tomorrow.
And words start to become sentences.
I will start to write just to understand.
And to make me feel better so I can go to bed again.

Sometimes I write because of a pain that runs so deep.
I write cryptic lyrics about the secrets I keep.
I express them in other words so no one will understand.
But they feel not knowing what I’m trying to tell.
It’s a just way to clear my conscience.

Sometimes I write how the world could be.
Or I write about the girl of my fantasy.
Then I’m inspired by a fragment of my imagination.
And now I told a few ways where I get my inspiration.
So now tell me what inspires you.
