Holocaust after partition
It was holocaust after partition
Little spark had resulted into ignition
Brothers and neighbors turned into enemy
It was never wish of any faith or almighty
No one knew what prompted genocide
It was agreed to but didn't result into peaceful divide
Houses were burnt and millions butchered
All over the region bodies can be found mutilated and charred
Was it for peaceful homeland?
Was there any need for division of motherland?
No one could answer then as friend
And not now even at the end
Two nations came into being with reality
Hostile propaganda coupled with relation in bad quality
Migration from both sides to take revenge on each other
Lots of refugee problems and future concern to share
It is difficult to understand hatred theory
What a shame on humanity to feel so much sorry!
Murders, loot and burning along the road sides
Miles long queues for crossing the borders on both sides
Families separated with deep wounds of hostile acts
There was nothing more to offer and react
Both sides had suffered heavily and bore the brunt
Still people were blood thirsty and continued to hunt
It is no use to blame any side or show sympathy
People were reeling under pain and felt apathy
No one was there to wipe their tears
As each one was gripped with the fears
National anthem was played to celebrate the birth of nation
There was bitterness and strained patches with the relation
No one seemed happy at the heavy price paid for
It was worst destruction even not faced by war
Generations after generations may change
Yet deep wounds may never go with the age
Ask any one who had not lost his dear one?
It was bloody partition but price paid by someone
* Scene at the time India of Pakistan partition*

Partition and After
Everybody wanted lion's share
But were afraid to talk and dare
They were to benefit from blood and holocaust
People were to migrate soon and fast
Land was to be divided
But no clue was provided
No one knew which river will flow where
Only confusion prevailed here and there
Yet it went on with calculated move
People were uprooted and removed
Their property was burnt and houses on fire
The politicians were blamed and called liar
Soon same army was to confront face to face
Arms were to be inducted for madly race
Millions were to sleep on open ground
Love was lost and no where to be found
Everything was done in hurry
Power was only the cause of concern and worry
What has it brought for people in this country?
Except, hatred, poverty, misery and sans glory
Still hundreds weep today for their beloved
Kith and keen that were in day light butchered
No one mourned their death and missed
Only their memory and ashes were to be kissed
Not that we are against people's aspiration
But that can be done by maintaining relation
Peaceful migration can take place in orderly manner
Law and order situation has to be restored later
How can we rejoice such unholy partition?
When there is hatred and mistrust followed by volcano type ignition?
We may celebrate hard earned independence and freedom
But such joy is momentary and may remain permanent seldom

One Too Many
From the mistakes of the past we have not learned and war again it is being waged today
And in any war there never is a winner and for every war there is some price to pay
And everyone who dies in war is one too many whether it be soldier or civilian is the one to fall
It should not matter all people are equal and a soldier too is human after all.
Armies are still invading other Countries and this is the twenty first century
As long as we are ruled by ruthless people we never will know World harmony
There always is two sides to every story and those who cause wars must pay the transgressors price
And history will never look too kindly on those with power who have made the wrong choice.
This war to rid Iraq of Saddam Hussein is something we ought not to celebrate
How can you liberate a population if huge destruction in their Country you create,
On others you cannot impose your values by good example one can only lead
This war is hardly about liberation this war about it has the stench of greed.
Another war to start another century such a waste of human life and environmental destruction seems a shame
And of course there are two sides to every story and one side is not entirely to blame
And the Iraqi people will be the big losers it is their Country that is being destroyed
And this war like every war is very brutal and many injured and too many have died.

We Do Nothing
We do nothing, want or don’t want to
This is bitter and unforgettable truth
What we are today were not yesterday!
Those were the moments of golden days
Not much of plight or days of starvation
Very good, peaceful and cordial relation
Yes heart felt sad happening all around
Bitterness was to be seen somewhere and found
Who can predict about future?
I think no one on our part for sure
We have to resolve it genuinely first
Then think about other things to solve at last
I have cried with my brethrens
Always shared their views and concerns
Cried along with them for deaths to mourn
Balied hopes, shattered faith and bodies torn
Storms daily come and destroy the houses
Patience dry out and passions rouse
We have borne the agony but bore no grudges
Trend is yet not clear as they won’t budge
We have reached moon and now embark on mars
But at home and abroad hungry are the masses
Enough of blood has flown on the earth
Many more casualties to count with innumerable deaths
We know nothing about future of the children
Countries land has turned dry and barren
What will we do with coming up of new houses?
When we have nothing on head but restricted passes
Amen! We all need peace
Stable life and living at ease
Give peace a chance and earn breather
Lot more concerns to share and responsibility to solder
Oh lord, now it is enough and no more of such kind
Let us strive hard, come to the conclusion and reasonably find
For betterment of man kind and slight chance for livelihood
Live and lead as an example for humanity in the neighborhood
Let us share agony, pain but avoid brutality
That must be shunned and banned in totality
Let us not shed the blood for occupation of land
Turn age old rivalry into best possible way and befriend
Future generation may not pardon us for our folly
Why was it imposed upon and not considered silly?
Was it considered most important and wanted really?
The answer remains “no” as it was never understood truly
Many factors played part behind the scene
Such holocaust and plight was never seen!
The wounds are still licking with bad memories
Adding more woes and not lessening the worries
Survive the attempt that is pointed at disasters
We are the main people and own masters
Nothing must be done to vitiate it further
Let us live like one as sisters and brothers

War Destruction
Have you ever counted dead in battle field?
Rifles in hand and ground firmly held
Not given an inch of the holy mother land
Laid down lives while defending at the at the far end
How much time it needs to sweat in peace time?
Countless hours spent just for planning sometimes
With only view in mind that it may bleed less
When time comes for actual war to face?
Wars are not liked but forced on to fight
It may be imposed whether you are wrong or right
Boarders are put on alert with lots of inconvenience
Mass exodus of people can be seen both the sides at once
Nobody may want hostile atmosphere
Peaceful countries always avoid and truly fear
Country’s progress can be taken several years back
So much loss, future and economy at stake!
Life comes to standstill with no sign of immediate peace
Countries at war are in no mood to please
Initial thrust is at capturing as much land as possible
Problem may start later on with grave trouble
War may be over with third party mediation
Leaving behind misery and lots of questions,
Human losses and material destruction
Where from to receive now fresh instructions?
Civilian population as well as fighting soldiers
No one is pleased to feel happy either
Life here or there valued same for the bereaved families
As no one was ever expecting to be enemies
Deep distrust and hostility in mind is brewing
Divide of boundaries and unrest is clearly showing
Yet it is ceasefire call and must be brought back to normal
Normalcy is limping back after resumption people’s arrival
There is much to think about and assess in depth
How many families might have cursed and wept?
Even thought it is holy task of defending motherland
But something must be done to build confidence and remain as friends

Lines On The Australian Dock Dispute (98)
My sympathy is not with the sacked Australian wharfies
Compared to most others they are overpaid
The old tired fight the bosses versus the workers
On the Australian docks is once again replayed.
And my sympathy is not with Chris Corrigan of Patrick Stevedores
He sacked one thousand four hundred of his men
Because they all were members of a Trade Union
Is union membership nowadays a sin? .
But least of all my sympathies are not with the Australian Government
They only seek to conquer and divide
They are the greatest culprits in this conflict
But soon their fate the people will decide.
I can feel sympathy for farmers and exporters and importers
They are between a rock and a hard place
This power struggle is going to cost them millions
This dock dispute an Australian disgrace.
But for the farm leaders I don't have any sympathy
For siding with the Government against the M.U.A.
They should have known that those who take sides in disputes
Win or lose will have some price to pay.
Perhaps the wharfies should have accepted their substantial redundancies
Although 'twould seem that they've not been treated fair
But my sympahies are with the lower paid workers
And the forgotten people on welfare.
And as for the Government elected by the people
For taking sides in disputes they were not empowered
And history will not look on them too kindly
Especially those two Reith and Johnny Howard.
On the WIK issue the Government had shown their true colours
They only seek to conquer and divide
But they were not elected for to be divisive
And the Australian people on their fate will soon decide.
And since the wharfies by the Federal Court are re-instated
Their jubilation with them I can't share
I see them as the privileged class of workers
And my sympathies will always be elsewhere.
Millions of dollars have been squandered on court battles
Between Patrick Stevedores and the M.U.A.
And poor Australia is the biggest loser
And barristers and judges getting wealthier by the day.
The likes of St Vincent De Paul and the Salvation Army
With the squandered millions could do quite a lot
They could help out the less privileged and needy
The people by this government forgot.

Lovely land
What actually separates us from each other?
Language same, dresses same and lovely land to wonder
Best of the religion to claim holier than holy
Still forget to own the misconduct and folly
Two brothers live separate in their own nest
Try to prove better and extract the possible best
Yet some grudge bearing that he should not progress fast
At least not in the life time till it is over or finally lasts
This I talked of general tendency that prevails in us
We have lost the confidence and full trust
It has generated lots of mistrust and hatred
We don’t know where to go and pick the lead
We had same father and motherland
We lived with neighbors as very good friends
What miracle turned it over night?
We were thrust upon to cut throat and fight
Why such mass exodus took place at wrong time and place?
What did we achieve after so many years in mad race?
Both the sides suffer from deficiency in food and nutrition
Complete national wealth is spent on armament and ignition
What will we be leaving behind for future generation?
Fear, hatred, insecurity and hazards of radiation
Are we playing the role of Satan to diminish the peace?
Life will prove tough and not be spent at ease
We are in abundance in some of the commodities
We can lessen the burden and reduce the impossibilities
Both sides can benefit the richness of nature
Such is climate and possibility for future
I wish some good counsel to prevail
Peace process and normal channel should not derail
Let people come and talk face to face
I think that will be turning point or crucial phase
Thousands have perished so far for silly reasons
Land is there where it was and has not changed with seasons
I see some light and spirit behind
One day we may close in as friends and find
WE have shed enough of blood
Even rivers had not that much flood
We blocked the movement and road
Now we are burdened with load
The sun may rise again with same intensity
The land may be purified with love and sanity
It will have secret blessings with divinity
We must strive hard with its continuity
Let us bury the differences once for all
Let people move around and respond the call
We can build the trust and have faith
It will not separate us even threatened with death

An end to hostility
Hostility can never cease or end
If peace initiatives are not taken or feelers sent
It may go on worsening the situation
It may have distrust consequences if allowed long duration
Who has benefited from long hostile atmosphere?
Have they been able to create permanent sphere?
Has it paid any dividend for the times to come?
Only hatred, misery, pain and sufferings to welcome
It has helped only war mongers
We have struggled and remained as strangers
They have proved good businessman and managers
It has brought havoc, destruction and produced ravagers
They have vested interest to see that nations are reeling under poverty
They must remain under their subjugation and never emerge as mighty
It doesn’t augur well with their national interest and hence inflame the passion
Unrest, bankruptcy and misfortune force them to go in for submission
Nothing moves on tract with right spirit and harmony
Illegal funding and over throw of legitimate Governments with money
Subjects may reel under dictators without any freedom
No rights of any kind and prosperity witnessed random
Nations can’t be put under heels for longer period quietly
Their voice can’t be ruffled and crushed mercilessly
They may emerge strong form impossible certainty
It may prove their graveyard even if they are powerful or mighty
No nation can survive with permanent hostility
It may ruin them completely and reduce the ability
There is no reason and purpose behind its continuation
It may be proving stumbling block for their elevation
No one has benefited for continued struggle and lead to slavery
Hostility ahs crippled their economy with no future recovery
You may not be in position to regain glory or fame
You will be reduced to work as pawn with shame
If the peace initiative is lost then it will be very difficult
It may add to sufferings and confidence can never be built
Generations after generation may inherit the hatred
They may find no hope but gloom future to lead
Even in our normal life, we can’t afford to be less tolerant
Even thought it is our weakness and possibly inherent
It is very hard to forget treachery a and set backs
Even then it must be tackled wisely possibly with still more cracks
It is bound to yield promising result
Respect may instill the confidence and substitute for insult
Good confidence building measure may improve relation
Hostility may end for good with its cessation

Center for study
India has remained as centre of study for the world
Where as many countries have blown hot and cold
Peace was never at their door steps leaving behind misery
Cordiality was never considered as reality and necessary
The country and its people are known by traditional values
Not by the way of loud speaking or projecting wrong views
But showing the courage and patience at the time of crisis
The culture stands as its hard core fabric and forms solid basis
It is very easy to bully small states by playing big brother’s role
Interfere in their internal affairs by unnecessary call
This is one kind of vengeance and shown towards helpless
Take full advantage of weakness and force them to abandon the race
In general, animosity is not at all welcome
It may be suiting to hardly counted or some people
Yet it cuts no ice and spoils the situation
It no condition it can be allowed with its continuation
On the other hand generosity is considered as noble gesture
It is considered as essential for stable relation or future
Humanity demands such steps as precondition for growth
Animosity must disappear from the scene and other aspect must come forth
Human nature is gifted with certain hostile aspects
It is interwoven in nature with all the respects
We feel jealousy merely on count of neighbor’s prosperity
We add fuel to faire to hide displeasure and inability
These are all virtual enemy of human race
It makes person blind and generates hatred in so many cases
Man becomes blood thirsty and runs for reprisals
Inflict personal Injuries which sometime costs fatal
We have never transported extremism to any countries
Taken full care not to imposed will and act as sentries
We have suffered a lot yet so far held the ground very well
Country is well knit and stands firm for many stories to tell
We are still facing the uncertain future with ugly scenes
Many innocents are subjected to and casualties have been
The peoples are misguided and hence give rise to animosity
This clearly demonstrates their defeat and inability
We have long roots of tolerance and are known as peaceful nation
Not only shown the courtesy and good will but maintained the relation
This has kept people prosperous and happy with progress
There is no ground to feel dejected if denied the access

What is It That We Experience
When we die, change form, all of our life makes sense to us this grand lucidity, we experience a welcome clarity of our life, deep waters of feelings, heights, vistas of beings, opening, judgment day is the shared encounter with all of humanity, where we experience our life with all other self encounters with creation, with humanity.
Sides of us, our erotic side, our heroic side, our sophisticated side, our nurturing side, our warrior side, all sides of us blend, synthesize with others, we are and we let go, we ripen.
Alive, being, it is a beginning,
An appreciation, being for all time, in peace, joy, wonder, bliss,
We make an inner promise, we have a perception, we extend out and into once more, and there we are once more.

Lies, Lies And Lies
Nation is fed with complete package
Pack of lies with skilled persons to manage
Second by second information on front move
A nation was about to die and dictator removed
Yes it is story of unified Iraq
Ruled by dictator but peaceful to talk
No unrest, no troubles and happy country
All vultures pry on hunt and ready
Unilateral embargo with no flying zone
Happy days of prosperity and peace already gone
Life made difficult for civilians to live
A nuclear threat who will believe?
Dictators may be called cruel and barbarous
But threats and treachery is on and continuous
Millions died for the want of food and medicine
Morality and teachings were all on decline
'Your existence is at risk' head of the nation addressed
'Your children are at nuclear risk' commander warned
'Impose the sanction and bring him to knees' demon cried
People gave sanction to no truth and nation completely lied
How can you police whole world?
How can you win over the people and bring under fold?
Why nation is kept under dark and facts not told?
The theory was propagated and freely sold
Poor nations are suffering and so the entire universe
Millions die hungry and suffer agony and pain with tears
Who will wipe their tears and offer the food?
The battle is won but not delivered any good
You fight thousand wars
Don't take it away from frontiers
It brings no peace but only misery
It is not the wish o almighty
Fear from those consequences
You can sight thousand such incidences
Nations are subdued despite given promises
What a heavy cost we are compelled to pay with prices?

Peace and honor for new nation
Peace and honor should go together
It is big question to understand and bother
It involves no big or small nations
But question of deep attachment in relation
No country may want to live under shame
Popular will in this sense can’t be blamed
The tolerance has its limit and may anytime explode
At any time to attain the real freedom
Even bad rulers may be tolerated
If their steps are welfare oriented
Certain amount of misrule is also of less concern
Until it speaks of no bad intention and turn
The desert fox connived for higher ambition
It exceeded all civil norms and limitations
People could no more trust for their lives
Normal men had no means with peace to live
Country could afford no more burdens
It needed out burst with ignition all of sudden
One more fatal blow and nation was to be restored
To its full glory of past and honored
Finally it has seen the golden day
Peace has finally descended in its own way
Country has witnessed enough of bad blood
There is shortage of medicines, commodities and food
Libyan people are brave and blessed with natural wealth
There is enough to eat and manage for good health
If people are happy and remain united
It is befitting occasion to feel as librated
Any nation may feel proud with its ancient heritage
Only rulers take note of it and ably manage
Whether system is democratic or with semi pattern
It must be happily shared by all without any concern
We all must wish this young nation a prosperous start
Live in harmony with neighbors and never depart
From stated position of non-interference and neutrality
That shall certainly grant peaceful atmosphere with stability

Long Live Africa
O great people of Africa, you rise
Wait for no sweet and hollow promises
Prefer to plough your own field
There will definitely be very good yield
Motherland wants more sacrifice
Not happy with unnecessary bloodshed and demises
Let them commit cruelty and spray bullets
Answer them with your own hands and ballots
Key and success is in your hand
Extend hand of friendship to them as friends
If no result comes out of it then also go forward
Now there is no scope of looking backward
Why African blood has turned yellow?
Why do they bear pain and allow
Why there is no positive result so far?
Because you have stretched too far
Let your children not suffer
Even if you may have divergent views to differ
Stand united and offer resistance
Peace is he only way out and bright chance
We shall extend cooperation
We can maintain relation
Yet it may be you who only will have to fight
Means may be wrong or right
See that no innocent is killed
See that unnecessary blood is not spilled
Freedom must be realized at any cost
Your will power and tough stand is must
Leave no stone unturned
Let peace chance not die and returned
Pick the threads from where you lost
Human misery must be avoided at any cost
Dream about peaceful nation
You may be able to establish good relation
Peace may not be far away
Stand firm; keep freedom torch burn on and stay

The Evil Urge
And I see that slowly your tears are drying
And I see an ocean made by your crying
And the ocean that's within...
And I see misery to forget it I must
And all of the memories are lost
And the ocean is here within me
Flows on like an ever tear
In us all there are two separate sides
That which is evil and that which is good
Some people live by one side and others by the second
Both of them have a little bit of the other
But it must remain clear that the two depend on each other
Remember, evil is a part of the good and not the opposite
There is no sadness without joy and there is no joy without pain
There is no holy without impure and there can be no blasphemy without
holyness,
Thus the two sides must live in harmony
Unbalanced forever the evil urge brought lots of pain
It is so hard to defeat it
The evil urge sometimes arrives with heavy boots
And sometimes in gentle cat's steps
And even through blessed deeds it can drive you into deeds of wrong
A here is the one which concurs his urge
And so we must wonder what shall be the faith of the man who destroys one
and embraces the other...
The storm still rages...

I cried whole night
I cried whole night for world peace in east
It was just before dropping of nuclear bomb with holocaust
Millions perished in just few seconds
Never to be seen on face of earth with tragic end
My tears had not dried up and world was again threatened
Millions were rooted from their forefather's homeland
I took deep breathe as it was for time being averted
Normalcy was restored and for time being peace zone was converted
Those deadly weapons of mass destruction are not of old memory
Everybody may shiver with slight occurrence and feel sorry
Wars are not happy occasions to celebrate with joy
Nation in particular and world at large has some army to deploy
I cry in corner for war orphans, destitute and killed
They were bread earner and in real sense skilled
Who will go and wipe their tears with few kind words?
I fear no one will as it is the wish of trigger happy war lords
World's larges democratic country was sent with shock waves
Who knows how many really were buried alive or lost lives?
As mother earth I tested human blood on my surface
As if I was oozing red tears with no strength to face
Let war be taking place at any side of globe
I am the only sufferer to grieve the loss and sob
I feel my children are annihilated for no fault of their crimes
Why can't you all draw some kind of safety lines?
You all assure me about not shedding a blood
Instead, wage a war on creating enough food
Feed all those hungry mouth now dying without source
Divert all destructive means to create strong peaceful force
I dream about complete universe with no violence
Not a skirmish even on boundaries with slight chance
Let people of whole world come out from their old mentality
I may then only be at ease with peace in totality

People Choose To Lay Up On Their Backsides
'I have suffered this.
I have suffered that.'
'I have suffered this.
And,
I suffer from that.'
Hear them talk about their pains,
And those agonies they reveal.
'I have suffered this.
I have suffered that.'
And...
Listen how they boast about,
Reasons why they choose NOT to heal.
'I have suffered this.
And,
I suffer from that.'
People like to stay flat on their back-
Sides!
People like to moan and that's a fact.
People like to stay flat on their back-
Sides!
People like to feel that keep it real...
To suffer!
'I have suffered this.
I have suffered that.'
'I have suffered this.
And,
I suffer from that.'
'I have suffered this.
I have suffered that.'
'I have suffered this.
And,
I suffer from that.'
And...
People choose to lay up on their backsides!
Listen to their reasons NOT to heal!
'I have suffered this.
I have suffered that.
I have suffered this.
And...
I suffer from that.'
People choose to lay up on their backsides!

Defence line
The country is secured by its own fellow citizens
No out side help can save even if it comes then
It is national pride and sacrifice that may help
All necessary precaution can stave off situation with correct steps
It is our sacred duty to rush for help and defend
You must rush for help and can’t pretend
It has to be protected at all cost
It must occupy our attention and remain upper most
We are duty bound and committed to defend territorial integrity
Whether it is in case of internal disturbances or by mutiny
The state must find itself in preparedness and challenge
It is their internal matter and must be able to manage
It gives sense of belonging to the motherland
Strong nations may try to be hostile or be friend
The diplomacy must also play part to ward off danger
Nothing should be thought of out of anger
The nation can be pushed off by many years
Many human lives are lost amidst fears
The economy may remain in doldrums
The nation can’t sing glory by beating drums
Each dropp of blood may strengthen our belief
It may provide sense of security with relief
No price can be compared to that of freedom
This type of occasion arrives seldom
Is it not the reflection of our strong mind?
Can that be compared with or any where find?
What are all factors that can contribute to great cause?
The nation can survive the test and uniformly pause
People may not mind to offer voluntarily any kind of service
It is not mechanical piece or form of any device
This type sense is generated towards mainland
Their existence is dependant mainly on strong bond
Who may not want their land free from any occupation?
How can they bear any insult based on discrimination?
Who will grant them prestige and pride once under domination?
They can never accept slavery and is out of question
The country can heave a sigh of relief where people are vigilant
They may rise to occasion even if that has to be instant
It is not for asking but as matter of sacred duty
Motherland is to be defended without any doubt and fully
We have come across and tested it on number of occasion
We have stood for maintaining amity and friendly relation
If that has been taken as weakness then we have stood our ground
The necessary precautions coupled with popular support is found

Using Up Some Valuable Time
It may be true.
There is two sides to a coin.
You don't understand...
I'm not asking you to flip it over.
I don't want to see the other side of it.
I have no interest.
What I've seen is enough.
And anything on the other side of that...
Needs to leave this one sided.
And I leave not curious at all.
When I expect someone to be upfront with me...
I only want to see one side.
The honest side!
All this 'two-sides-to-every-story' nonsense...
May work in Hollywood, Disneyland
Or any shopping mall!
However...
While you were collecting from me,
My benefits of doubt?
You were using up some valuable time!
Not mine!
Yours.
'Who' led you to believe,
I was that stupid?
Because I was 'there' for you...
Did not mean I was there to be used,
By you or played!
And that story you've been telling,
Needed new chapters added a long time ago.
I'm just speeding up the ending for the both of us.
I've decided I did not want to see repeated episodes,
This season.
Nor am I going to feel nostalgic,
Reviewing them with you either!

Once Is Enough
Been lucked out
Broke a womans heart
With only myself to blame
Fate ran its course
I suffered a loss
I learned a lesso in pain
Cheated, lied
I took love for granted
Oh, I paid the price
I wont last a night
I wont make the same mistake twice
Once is enough, its one time too many
The changes are rough, oh, once is enough
Love went trough such sudden change
Taken a turn for the worst
The joy turned to fear
The pain got so severe
Lord, I thought I was cursed
Get what you give
It comes around full circle
Oh, I paid the price
Love so fast
I wont make the same mistake twice
Once is enough, its one time too many
Changes are rough, oh, once is enough
Changes are rough, oh, once is enough
