Hello Uncle
'Hi and hello uncle! Do you remember me? '
I turned back to see a face smiling one and lovely
'No dear friend' I apologetically surrendered
So as not to look useless and wondered
'Chand'* is my name and do you recollect?
You were kind enough to take care and act
Today I own a farm house and live with family
Happy one and blessed of two children by almighty
The past moments rushed on the screen
Oh yes, beautiful face was almost seen
Early morning cry from a garbage heaps
Where he was abandoned with nothing in lips
I used to go for stroll with spaces very fast
The distant cry was heard along with dog's bark
I rushed to the spot and found lovely child
His eyes were closed after pronged cry but nevertheless not blind
I called for help but turned with no response
It was isolated place and invited bad fragrance
The child was wrapped in dirty cloth
Moving legs and raising hands both
I thought for a while and picked up the boy
Even though I had full family but it did annoy
I cursed the mother who had deserted child
Yet I was sympathetic and now turned mild
I thought for several days and made frantic search
I failed in all the attempts but could not reach
My faith forbade me to rear child of unknown descent
I decided to give him to a childless friend and sent
I felt relieved when found that he was nursed properly
Coming up with age and raised very orderly
Many years passed there after and I lost the touch
I wondered how boy could remember me with long absence as such
I was fed with about your generosity by my foster parent
Showed your photo and reminded me of chance as heavenly sent
I could recognize you and rushed for the blessing
'Can I touch your feet' as for all these year I was chasing
I remained motionless for several moments
How a boy remembered me for such nice comment?
Was that not the humanity call I responded with?
Few tear drops rushing in eyes as tongue remained tight behind teeth

Dog saved child
I bow my head to faithful animal
Who saved a new born girl child on arrival?
Left in isolated place to be claimed by none
Only pigs and vultures were waiting for it alone
Little dog heard the infant’s voice
Rushed to the scene without any choice
The child was moving the legs
There was nothing on her such as name tag
Totally left in wilderness at god’s mercy
Not by any human but dog felt pity
Raised alarm by barking loud
People in near by huts were sleeping sound
She must be by now few minutes old
Her parents may really be stone hearted and bold
The child was deserted and left at her fate
There are no enough words to state
People rushed to the site
It was about to be day light
What a lovely child to look at?
Waiting to meet the cruel fate!
The child was wrapped in dirty rag
Even though was a healthy and moving leg
Real credit was earned by a faithful dog
The child could have been eaten away in fog
Some of the acts are always appreciated
They deserved to be highlighted and narrated
It gives shining example of what should have been done
If not done then what precaution should have been taken
Her parents may be brave one
Even if for unmarried girl this act should not have been done
It is life granted by almighty, the creator
We are here to look after and act as care taker
Any human being may feel good
Animals otherwise are hungry for food
The great damage would have been done to child
Thank god she was taken to near by hospital and saved

Entering new day
As usual I am entering new day in life
Everybody is wishing me but first was wife
She held my hand in gratitude
As I had remained with her with great magnitude
Today candles are lighted
Many achievements are highlighted
Some of my hay days and nice moments
Lovely chance to hear and read comments
Child days are sweet and memorable
Taken care of by parents and made capable
This was all needed for strong foundation
As every child needs care with lovely relation
As the days pass by you know about the people around
Your aspirations and upcoming days to look sound
All efforts to come out as successful man
And of course to need a wife as beautiful woman
I remember standing before mirror for several hours
Dreaming about girl to play part in coming years
To pass off the life as shining example
As so many reminded me of life as only a bubble
Life has flowed like water in river
Rushing towards goal but not sure or never
Sometimes disappearing in between without trace
Some of that kind feared to occur and to be faced
As always seen, God is always kind to all
Responds to your prayers and attends the call
Everything is given liberally without judging your acts
Only we fail to recognize it as divine gift in fact
In fact we must be grieving for past year
In many cases we have refused unpleasant things to hear
We have forgotten those old days which were made to bear
Otherwise life was so cruel on us to force eyes with tears
It is reminder to us not to shed tears but to stand fast
Thank God earnestly that he made us forget it at last
Now today we are better off and enjoying the fruit
The path is open with happiness and powerful delight
Many more birthdays may approach
We may be celebrating them as such
What do we remember specially on that day?
Keep me among my brethrens and not push away

Teen Birth (narrated)
She took the test and found out for sure
So she went to her mother and said:
I have a problem and I don’t know what to do
You had always said that I could confide in you
I made a mistake: and now my stomach is full.
The boy says he’s too young to raise a family
Then he turned his back, and walked away from me.
Well my daughter! There are two options that I see
You give birth and raise it, or give it to a childless family.
Now if you decide to keep it, because of your
Christian upbringing.
Your father and I will help you in all that we can
But you have to put your part, and give a helping hand.
And if you put it up for adoption which will
Be the hardest thing to do.
But whatever your decision we will support you.
Her parents then told her: let the doctors put you to sleep
For if you see the child you will begin to weep.
And if you must stay awake, then close
Your eyes so you don’t see, for a newborn child
Has a hypnotic glance, so turn your back it’s your only chance.
When it was time for her to conceive and she was wheeled
Into the room- her mothers words rang like a bell.
What do you decide and who do you tell?
And when she saw this child come out of her womb
She then felt that it was much too soon.
She turned her eyes away, but recalled that dreadful day
When the boy turned his back. And right then she knew
Exactly what she had to do.
She took the baby in her arms, and looked into its eyes.
The hypnotic glance was there
And with this child- her life she’d share.

Was He A Child?
Was he a child? (NARRATED 7/9/10)
I was feeling down and out depressed and in despair
My chest was feeling tight My mind up in the air
Like so many others I was living from week to week
I was all the way down to my lowest peak.
Nothing seemed to console me, so I decided to take a walk.
Sat on a park bench when with me, a child started to talk.
What’s wrong mister? You look like you lost your best friend.
But don’t you worry, for soon it will end.
Its just like when I play baseball, and I want to hit a home run
And when I don’t do it, I feel like getting a gun.
My coach always tells me that I can’t always hit a home run.
As long as I get on base, that’s all that has to be done.
I looked at this child, he had a big smile on his face
He took me back- to another time, another place.
Well I’ve got to run mister to meet my family
For they are always there to hug and comfort me.
I thought: now here is a child with wisdom
Who seems to know more than me.
How is this possible? How can it be?
I turned to thank him and to tell him to have a nice day
But he was gone, he just slipped away.
I got up off the bench and looked all around
But he was not in sight, and nowhere to be found.
I felt a sense of freedom, like a burden taken off of me
For all those cares and worries, no longer bothered me.
WAS HE A CHILD?

My Little Star
Today I see in you refection
Exactly it was when gave some indication
You were only child in family
That had graced our family
How great I had felt when you were born
Brother was adamant and remained stubborn
You, as girl, were not wanted or desired
But we all were happy, rejoiced and admired
'What will you want to be when growing young'?
'Scientist' you were quick to reply and sing
You were lovely child and liked by all
We all were scared when you started to walk and had frequent fall
You were brilliant in your studies
You always insisted on some kind of thesis
A genuine quality generally seen in bright students
And later on to prove as major event
I feel proud when see you around
You are on your strong way to be found
I gather the impression that you are most intelligent
A lovely child in our home as heavenly sent
I have seen you growing in stages
You were gifted with extra qualities with an age
I was sure of your golden letters on page
A day not far off when you will shine with an age
I wish you a great success and bright carrier
And also pray that you face no barrier
Your path should be smooth one and straight
Where you are not burdened with worries and weight
I remember your father when she had sent you here
He had all expectations but was afraid and scared with fears
I had to do all pleading when he was about to break down
All his emotions were turned into grief and made known
I am in tears when old memory takes me over
I want no hand kerchief to offer me cover
My eyes are wet but with emotions and joy
I want this day to be celebrated and enjoyed
You are our inspiration and destiny
It has been dream in our family
That you may shine and bring glory
That was all we prayed to God almighty

Really Unforgettable
Child school days are really unforgettable
Not that that it all confined to school table
It did something more to feel for other children
To think about them and learn new thing even
The greatest things was to learn about tolerance
May came with notorious type of activities and performed also at once
When pulled up by teacher then they understood some fair meaning
It was something more apart from learning
My memory rushed me back to two new friends
Both were from poor family and unable to meet the ends
Yet they may enter school politely with clean cloths
They were clever and innocent but powerful in math
I had special leaning for their attitude
For little favor they used to express gratitude
Always down to earth and very much expressive
Not at all hostile but very much polite and submissive
I noticed their absence for two days
There were not to be seen around as were unable to pay
Their fees for further months and hence had gone for farm labor
The teacher disclosed the fact in open and I decided to favor
'We want to come of our own 'was the polite reply
I unsuccessfully tried for help but it was futile try
What a way of living standard with full satisfaction?
What do we take it as an shining example or good indication?
Both have risen to highest position one can ever dream
Even though they had remained till last in our team
For so many years they remained not in contact
But some dividend was paid to them for hard act
Nothing goes in drain or in vain
The success then comes in chain
Bad old days don't remain for long time
They are replaced later on as happy days sometimes
My eyes got little wet when memory rushed all of sudden
Old days are sometimes remembered with clear vision
We analyze it with smile on face for the foolish actions of past
Yet it gives lots of joy and happiness even if fade away very fast

Childless Couples Gift
the childless couple pray every day
that a child will come their way.
they tried everything to conceive
and at night, she sits and bereaves.
they go to doctors and clinics
and do all sorts of tests
they do everything they're told
and give it their best.
they showed people what they
expected them to see.
but! their pain is the harsh reality.
hiding the pain that was embedded so deep
but! it was a pain they could not defeat.
they knew they had a couple of options left
either a surrogate mother, or to adopt.
although they knew that the final
decision would be theirs.
they spoke about it hours on end
spoke with family and their friends.
they decided to take a trip to ' boys town'
and speak with others who had been turned down.
speaking with children who were still
looking to be part of a family
and ' how they would search the adoption history'
they asked: do most people looking to adopt
seem to be put on a spot?
a young boy of about twelve, decided to speak.
he said: most adopting parents seek a young child
because they think that an older one
is not worth their while.
they think that there must be a reason
that the older child was not taken.
but! they don't know how much they're mistaken.
we older children have learned right from wrong
and have gone through heartbreak the same as you.
so! ' what are we supposed to do.'
to hide our heads in the ground
never to be found?
we can love and be loved the same as you
and in your hearts ' you know it's true.'
so if you are coming with that thought in mind
there are hundreds here that you will find.
his tears started rolling down his eyes
as he was walking away.
when he heard the mans voice say
' wait a minute my son, for you are the one.
you are what we've been seeking
and our love you'll be keeping.
just give us a chance to prove you're right
for you are GODS gift- this very night.

Label of a Child
When I first met him, he was just a small little child,
He was so sweet and innocent, meek, and mild.
His future was shining through his brilliant little eyes,
Unaware of the coming troubles, conflicts and lies.
As he watched me with eyes full of curiosity,
He stayed back alittle, just evaluating me.
He was now labed, as a child of divorce,
He didn't know the term 'divorce' of course.
His dad stood by him with deep passion and love,
The kind of love that comes from heaven above.
No one could touch him, if not through his dad,
It's a story of love, we all wish we had
As time crawled on, he was still unsure,
He watched and waited for love that was pure.
Not the forced love, just because of birth
The type of love that shows a child's worth.
One day, the child dropped his defenses
And asked, Will you be my mom? , in a complete sentence.
I offered my heart, my world, and my life,
to this little boy who was riddled with strife.
As the years passed, a strong family grew,
A 'divorced' family? Nobody knew.
We over came much trouble and strive,
But we have a strong family and a terrific live.
So, when you come into a relationship, where's there a child,
Go slowly and patiently, gently and mild.
Remember, a 'step' is something under your feet,
It should never been used on a child, please be discreet.
The only thing that child should ever hear,
Is, I love you deeply and I need you near.
Don't label that child as step or divorced
That causes deep sadness and total remorse!
Just say I love you to your child every day,
Then the love of that child will never go away.

One Small Act
There was a lady whose face was drawn
and everyone she came upon
looked at her and wondered why
she never smiled at them as they passed by?
But none would question this poor soul.
They turned their face on their daily stroll.
A child went up and touched her hand
and the lady's face lit up the land.
A gesture of kindness was all it took
to change the sadness, to change her look.
She seemed to come alive once more
and her face was not drawn like it was before.
It took the innocence of a child to see
that a face that's drawn needs to be
uplifted by love from one who cares.
There's nothing like a touch that compares.
The lady's face that was drawn every day
is filled with peace as she goes on her way.
And the one small child will never know
how he changed a face and made it glow.

Oh Dear Child...
Do not worry dear child
Have faith in what you have left to believe in
You have been deprived from all the goodness in you
Now you lie in nothing but an immortal sin
Your worries no longer exist
All the pain and agony that you’ve once suffered will never take place
Your cries have not been heard
It was the path of pain and sadness you had to chase
Your heart lied in hopelessness
Every hour and day
And now you live in despair
In loneliness and misery that will never be taken away
Your happiness was stolen for no reason at all
Never have you known the meaning of childhood
Never has anyone answered your desperate call
Working all day just to support your family
Was something you knew you had to do
Never have you felt the taste of freedom
You’ve always been someone else other than you
Have you ever asked yourself why?
Why everything turned out wrong?
Have you ever wondered, oh dear child?
Where you truly belong?
Many children out there are being trapped under abuse and war
No one really knows what happens behind these closed doors
If we look deeper into the world
We will discover what we never knew
Now imagine that that poor child was you
How would you feel?
What would you do?

In Midst of Crowd
I found her in midst of crowd
She was about to raise her voice loud
She was asking for help to come
I rushed to her to welcome
She was my dream girl for years
I was desperate for her voice to hear
I rushed toward and reached near
She was about to yell with fear
She was afraid and looked apparent
I was in no mood to comment
I got hold of her and took out from rush
She failed to follow as faced with crowd’s push
I find her exactly the same
I did not ask her name
“Esther is my name” invaded gentle smile
I was lost in memory meanwhile
I found her very much pleasing
Not a single unpleasant word or teasing
So far I had gone for chasing
She was right before me and facing
I know and can read many things
But it lacks specials mention with something
I stared at her asked for permission to live
Her eyes remained wide and refused to believe
Today I look back and memorize
The sun looks beautiful in early morning rise
I am told one must act wise
Not to take steps in haste and summarize
I have before me a reality and future
I am confident and very sure
I don’t know how far it will take
But destiny will surely wait it to make

Come Touch Me Child
Come touch me, child.
My withering skin comes to me fast.
It wont be long until I'm gone...
And much I have to share,
To give and remember still
Will collect like dust and fade away!
Come sit with me today
And connect this link
That should not break or rust ignored!
Keep this moment stored within you...
And pass this treasure on!
Come touch me, child.
This ancestor wants nothing better
Than to leave you with the keys
To unlock your wealth...
Whenever you are in doubt
Or left in search to find an identity,
You must keep proud and flaunt about.
Come touch me, child.
I will not let you wander in darkness!
Come touch me,
Before my light is turned out.

Could be a cruel mother
My husband’s mother loved,
Cared and nursed my son,
More than she did her son,
Pouring her sweats and time.
Someone caring my son
Must be a source of pride
To me beside a relief.
Yet I felt most perturbed.
The child grew under her care;
The child found a good time
To be found near her
With its back towards me.
The lady must exit.
She did as I planned.
The child fell sick and felt
Bad about her absence.
I’ve been much relieved.
The child has much grieved.
I became much spirited
And the child, dispirited.
The welfare of the child
Was not my concern, ho!
My sole concern was that
It was under my spell.
Aren’t I a cruel mother?

Good bye my daughter
Good bye my lovely and dear daughter
You will be leaving behind grief and no laughter
You were so beautiful and very much sought after
You were engaged in lavish style with grand dinner
It was great to be part of your wedding ceremony
My eyes were getting wet intermittently but not seen by many
I was overjoyed and much excited with the grand occasion
It was going to be opening of new bond and relation
The idea itself hurt me from within as if cut by knife
She will be flown many miles away to be called somebody’s wife
The though itself reminded me of the traditional custom
Where daughter has to be given farewell like stardom
The day was awaited since long and discussed
Full preparation was on for not a single thing to be missed
It was as if do or die battle for no let up in preparation
It was bringing tears in my eyes at slight reminder of separation
She had come up as very much loved child
We were very much considerate and kind
We were getting nervous if she was not found
We will run all over for search and see all around
She was naughty but very much wise
She will take enough care not to make any surprise
We were not accustomed to her absence
We would love her to be before us in al the sense
Baby child is always given top importance
It is because she has to live company at once
She won’t stay with us for any longer
She will leave us behind as stranger
We did not notice the passing of time so quickly
She had attained womanhood and was to be married immediately
Even though she had picked life partner from her own circle
We had no other choice but give approval for being very practical
Nothing seemed to be unusual or strange
We were to go for it and arrange
She was to be given descent reception
We all waited for it with open options
It was giving joy and at the same times some grief
She was to live with very good family and much to our relief
It was not the concern at all but only her absence
We were to miss her face in everybody’s presence
I could not cry in open but felt at heart
I was grieving deeply and was likely to start
I feared some tears may dropp on the ground
It will hurt daughter deeply if she ever found
I did not cry till the last
I broke down when her plane disappeared very fast
The isolator days were to be the only friends
Though it was with mixed feelings at the end

Miss You Badly
I was selfish and erring human
She was exception and lovely woman
I call her my mother and best in world
How safe I was when went to her fold!
I cry to full extent and miss badly
I have no memory and spent day very sadly
O mom! Show me your face at least once
I have tried but have no more chance
I vividly remember being at orphanage
Somebody had wrapped me and dropped near drainage
I was taken to child home and brought up with care
World was so small for me to go somewhere
I understand you may be threatened by dark clouds
It may be puzzling you with lightening sound
How terrible it might have been to make night round!
dropp the child at wild place and never to be found
I can imagine about the inner cruse for life
You might have tried to be ideal and good wife
Alas! I could have been your beautiful baby
Just little blessing from almighty might have kept you steady
I have breathed safely in their hands
They all are like me and behave as friends
I look at stars and try to find you out
To know the meaning of 'mother' and think about
You may surely be innocent like moon
You may try to find me out soon
Mom, how will you find me from so many children?
You may have no faintest ideas even
I miss you today and feel shy to look at sun
Why had all divine forces made you to run?
What was the compelling situation for you to desert?
Does the situation not change it to revert?
Mom, wherever you are and whatever you are
You are my favorite and shining star
I see no fading light in you but twinkling shine
You always come in my dream and look fine
I will not cry as an orphan
I am daughter of pretty woman
I miss you in heart and silently weep
You remember me sometimes but happily sleep
I know how hard it may be to leave behind
A crying child to somebody's trust and never to find
You might have dashed your head against walls
With heavy heart you might have obeyed to calls
Today is the day to remember mothers all over
Let them find in comfortable position with shield or cover
Many more may be abandoned in coming days
Let god suggest and instill beautiful ways
I curse the luck and miss you
But not pass the blame as you have passed through
All agony and pain not suffered by any one
You are for me so special and sacred woman

I Thought I Was A Child
Its such a clever innocence with which you do your sorcery
As if somehow the years just bow and let that young girl go free
I thought I was a child until you turned and smiled
I thought I knew where I was going until I heard your laughter flowing
And came upon the wisdom in your eyes
Surprise--
Ive spent my whole life running round
Chasing songs from town to town
Thinking Id be free so long as I never let love slow me down
So lonely and so wild until you turned and smiled
By now I should have long been gone
But here I am still looking on
As if I didnt know which way to run
Its such a clever innocence with which you show myself to me
As if you know how it feels to never be who you wanted to be
I thought I was a child until you turned and smiled
I thought that I was free but Im just one more prisoner of time
Alone within the boundaries of my mind
I thought I was a child

A Widow
She, having lost her husband very soon
After her marriage, while with babe in womb,
Well accepted a life without a moon,
With just a female child that was welcome!
She got a job on compassionate grounds,
And spent her days just trusting in the Lord;
When child graduated, her joy knew no bounds!
Her only solace turned to be God’s Word!
Years rolled off pretty rapidly for her;
She never had a dream that her own;
Some childhood memories, she could gather;
For long, her solitude remained unknown!
But when her new-wed daughter left her too,
She wondered what only, she could ev’r do?

No Uncertain Death
I have seen no uncertain death
It was first time when I went to lay a wreath
My grand mother had recently passed away
I had spent considerable time with full stay
I go back to my childhood memory
She may take all steps to make me merry
I was her beloved and very dear child
She was never annoyed and remained mild
She may spread her hand on my head
In sound sleep I may feel touch and quietly read
She has the magic in hand and is quite apparent
I would forget everything even past and current
All the mothers of world are like that
This was reveled by grand and several times stated
Nobody can compare her with any object
She is known by her graceful act
Such lovely figure is not among us
My mother had so much love and trust
She may shed tears in little away place
So we should not see her pale face
She confided me how last days were so painful
Grandma was so critical but remained cheerful
She remembered me even to her last breath
I was the only one not present at the time of death
Everybody at that time was choked with emotions
We had to pray for her peaceful departure without any options
It was Almighty’s wish and we had to only pray
We could only weep and could not see her going away
She had so much deep affection
We could see in her eyes that reaction
She wanted to speak but could do nothing
We waited for her to speak something
Mother confided me something more
Grandma at the end was very sorry and sore
She never wanted me to be away from home
She waited for me to see her and welcome
She had her last remembrance
She had opted for this relation happily at once
She had worked day and night for our well being
She did everything for happiness to bring
I would go for her feeling
She did it for us happily and willing
How could we be that ungrateful?
She had done exceedingly well and remained resourceful
Every household has one old character
They may remain main figure and anchor
The family ship has to be towed safely to shore
It always requires something more and more
I look at her shining eyes and face
I find everything in her and there is nothing more to trace
She is doyen of all mothers with smiling personality
May be this is only one remaining quality

To Be A Child Again
To Be a Child Again by Kenny Davis
I see the children of today
Their smiles take me away
To my times as a child
And the games that I would play
To be a child again
Means to be taken to an imaginary place
Where a box could be a house or race car
Or a ship in outer space
To be a child again
Means Mother is God in my eyes
My father is like my hero
Like Superman in the skies
To be a child again
There are many times, I would smile from ear to ear
I would jump into my parent’s loving arms
With nothing left to fear
To be a child again
Full of bedtime stories and fairy tales
Whether it was Jack and the Beanstalk
Or Jack and Jill with their water pails
To be a child again
My life filled with Mother Goose
The tails of Humpty Dumpty
And Green Eggs and Ham from Dr. Seuss
Now that I have grown
I recall my times as a child
So young, so innocent
So reckless and wild
To be a child again
My parents would wipe away every tear
It is all of those tender moments as a child
That I will always hold dear

Sacred relation
"What on earth can be called sacred relation"?
One friend parried a direct question
"Why the query all of sudden"?
I was not prepared to answer even
He had lost mother recently
He was keeping quiet but asked gently
I understood pain from his eyes
Even though the death of his mother was long gone by
Right from the conception she is aligned with child
Her nature undergoes change and remains mild
Everybody takes special care of her
First happy moment is shared by sister
The family is heavily loaded with movement
The child is expected at any moment
Everybody at home is right on toe
Only the word is awaited with the signal "go"
Mother has no more reason to worry
Whole world is on her steps to carry
She has complete time to spend after child
Even after child troubles her or goes wild
Such beautiful mother is heavenly gift on earth
Attachment is such that we don't forget even after her death
The sadness on part of friend was easily understood
I decided to console him and firmly stood by
I knew by folk tales that mother was no less than goddess
You can see entire world in her or on face
If world has to owe anything to any one
Then mother stands the only chance and none else
I too became sentimental along with him and cried
I put maximum words to console him and earnestly tried
He was quiet reasonable but carried away by memory
He felt so sad and had certain reasons to worry
I feel irritated at the news of mother's death
If that really happens to me then what aftermath!
I found no answer and winked at the blue sky
The birds were returning home for next day to fly
