It is nice to feel good about world
Existence of different people in it s fold
Somewhere hot weather and somewhere cold
Somewhere you find only dust and somewhere pure gold
Natural resources spread over large and scattered area
Less land but surrounded by vast and magnificent seas
Sun to spread across vast areas of land
Spreading the message of love and making them friends
At every twelve miles of land stretch, the language change
Intelligent men travel across and ably try to manage
What a beautiful experience to learn and develop
Best means of developing brotherhood without any stop
This is how we cherish the dream of cultural bonds
We remain eager to learn more and very fond
Who says world is limited and full of adversaries?
And there is no end to sufferings and miseries
We have definitely come closer to both the poles
No divide but combined together as whole
Our ideas and actions match with remote sense
Let handful of people speak different with nonsense
We may overcome with passage of time and place
Know more of values and culture with mixed races
Love and peace may prevail without any doubt
The art of poetry is often less talked about
It can perform miracle and bring people together
People can be taught how to withstand and wither

Though my country is at its lowest
I firmly believe that it will ably pass the test
Though the nations will grope in financial needs
My country's resources its people will feed.
We have plenty of water and our seas produce fish
Our land grows everything and its womb is not selfish
We can make our food in all natural growth
We can harvest the best fruits the world ever sought
They say we are poor yet our malls are all selling
Our people have cellphones, the latest cars they're buying.
The investors are coming here, realty business is booming
Condominums fast rising and like mushrooms a-blooming.
We have pearls in our seas, we have gold in our mountains
Our silver is the best and its sources are a bargain
Our people are poor but they live life with great smiles
With dance, music, and song and prayer all the while
We survive those disasters because of our character
The 'Bayanihan' spirit- we look after each other
With all our workers spread throughout the world
We don't even need government, we manage well we are told.
Our heroes are many, too many to enumerate
From Paeng Nepomuceno, Manny Pacquiao to date,
To Lea Salonga and our Charize Pempengco
To Efren 'Bata' Reyes and the rest you all know.
There is now black propaganda against my dear country
Prejudice in foreign media laced in utter mediocrity
But the irony of it all is the evident truth
Like dominoes they are falling one by one they follow suit.
A nation's wealth is its people and its natural resources

Cry for PEACE
What a world we live in. Crazy as it sounds to begin. So much to learn, so much to see, what life is to be. Hungry souls, crawl the streets, some are rich as its meant to be.
God made us all equal yet we have discrimination. Sex, Love, Hate and Voilence are the reasons. Money is walk and talk of life, too much of it and you will despice, where to keep where to hide, money is the reason people fight.
Gone are the times when love was the reason to live and die for.
Love and sacrifice for the mother land was a honour above all.
Today we live but just to die, nothing we do but just cry. Ashes to Ashes Dust to Dust, all there remains is fond memories as such.
So Live and let Live, stop this killing, spread love and cry for Peace to begin.

Snow
Nature is exchanging icy blows
So severe with wind and flows
It is time for arrival of snow
Winter may set in and grow
Snow may get heavy with shield
Not easily impregnable and yield
She may be spread in vast field
Solid rock like and water not filled
You can skit on her with full speed
Got to be careful and not to skid

Ode To Mankind
Prologue:
To the majority of people who seem to have lost touch
this is presented as a declaration to be treated as such.
And just for the world's deteriorating natural environment
of which we're all a contributing cause by our embodiment.
We hardly ever stop and consider how wasteful a life we lead
but continue on for the sake of progress despite our real need.

O mankind of this planet called Earth!
What is the purpose of Human birth?
You are here only for just a short time,
why not make the most of your prime?
You turn hither and thither all over the place
away from yourselves and thus fall from grace.
You're always looking for treasure out there
yet, most of the time, you end up in despair.
You usually hold on to the things that pass away
and short lasting values are the order of the day.
You create and get involved in all sorts of strife,
complicating an otherwise beautiful simple life.
You want easily to know all of life's secrets
and go about seemingly without any regrets.
You crowd your own heart with many selfish desires
and go vying for the things the other person acquires.
You do seldom ever stop and reflect on your past
nor consider how much longer the present will last.
You deem everything to be unchanging and real
and think that life is a mysterious one way deal.
You're always the one who either gains or loses
one thing or another depending on who chooses.
You esteem progress of the economical and material
and go hankering madly after the status of the imperial.
You generally prefer to receive than to give or share
and take delight in sense pleasures without much care.
You are very skeptical about the worth of any spiritual ideals
and often reject or ignore what another person sees and feels.
You kill your own kind with or without much reason
and the weather you unknowingly put out of season.
You tend to think there's nothing more than what can be seen
and rely much on the senses for most of that which you glean.
You find it hard to acknowledge a power higher than your own
and in the entire universe somehow believe that you are alone.
You have desecrated and laid waste vast areas of land
and made extinct many of the creatures by your hand.
You have carelessly polluted a lot of the water, land and air
and now wonder why it's no longer the same place out there.
You have strangled the earth; strapped it down with cement and mortar
cut down and burnt most of the trees that were giving food and shelter.
You celebrate your own birth or death with much pomp and show
yet beyond this present life very little are you ever willing to know.
You know well the term 'from dust we came and to dust we return'
but what you are really, or can become, will apparently never learn.
You think only that you are made of bones, flesh and blood,
wondering how on earth you could get wiped out by a flood.
You do not fathom the effects or results of your actions
assuming what you get away with has no repercussions.

Epilogue:
You must realise that you live in a huge world of duality
and don't have to endure the pairs of opposites infinitely;
pleasure and pain, joy and sorrow, love and hate, good and bad,
friend and foe, day and night, heat and cold, rich and poor it's sad
the list does go on and on indefinitely it seems
even beyond that we experience in our dreams.
We should avoid going to the extremes of these
then we can get to rise above them and so please
our True Self which is the inner witness of our existence
remaining forever unchanging not showing any resistance.
But usually coming through as the voice of conscience sometimes
like the law of justice towards the severity of small or great crimes.
