Full Laugh

Moon had full laugh when gained in size
Lot more to offer for lovers to seize
The silvery moments and unforgettable pride
What else to retain and what else to hide!

I was sinking deep with her words
She was all there for looking forward
Eyes closed and inviting for close association
It was never before such an invitation

Even I had fear behind closed doors
Such moment was always sought for
We had fear and little hesitation
It was meeting of mind with secret revelation

We waited for moon to come up still in full
The surrounding was surcharged and not looked dull
It was altogether different distant noise
As if calling for nod with full promises

We lived in heavenly atmosphere
From here we had only place to go somewhere
A nest with interwoven refuge
I fell in beautiful trap and could not refuse

Life is so beautiful to live in
With honest longing and pledge to no win
Sink or swim together for lovely voyage
Till the end of life with sunset age

Sky was turning blue
As it was time and very much due
Moon was to disappear with full smile
I too eagerly waited and surrendered meanwhile

Full Moon Dirty Hearts

Full moon in the dirty sky
Thats all we can hope for
Full moon over dirty hearts
Full moon over dirty hearts
Dont be surprised
By the way it is
Ive broken bones for less
Took a voyage
On the deep blue sea
But I had to swim away
To swim away that day
Full moon over dirty hearts
Full moon over dirty hearts
I took a voyage
Over deep blue sea
Innocence is what we want
Now even children think that way
Full moon over dirty hearts
Full moon in a dirty sky
Full moon over dirty hearts
Full moon over dirty hearts
I took a voyage
Over deep blue sea

Full Cold Moon

This night
All light
Full still moon

Lamp lit
Silhouette
Full still moon

Many faces
Secret places
Full still moon

Supernal eye
In the sky
Full still moon

Big stone
Cold Alone
Full still moon

In reverie
A memory
Full still moon

Only one
You are
gone

Only night
to dream
upon

Full

Cold

Moon

Everyone's Gone To The Moon

Everyone's Gone To the Moon
by Pee Wee King, Chilton Price and Redd Stewart
sung in the special "Art or Bust"
Streets full of people all alone.
Rows full of houses never home.
Church full of singing but it's out of tune.
Everyone's gone to the moon.
Eyes full of sorrow never wet.
Hands full of money all in debt.
Sun disappears in the middle of June.
Everyone's gone to the moon.
Long time ago life had begun
and everyone went to the sun.
Hearts full of motors painted green.
Mouths full of chocolate-covered dreams.
Mobs that can only lift a spoon.
Everyone's gone to the moon.
Everyone's gone to the moon.
Everyone's gone to the moon.

The Reflection of God

Thoughts are like ripples,
gently flowing over
the surface of the mind.

Deep inside us
we bear the image of God,
the ripples of thought break that image
into fragments.

It is as if you are looking in
a lake full of ripples-
It is a full moon night,
and the lake is reflecting
the beautiful moon.

But the lake is full of ripples
You cannot gather the moon together;
the moon goes on splitting
into a thousand fragments.
The whole lake seems to be
spread over by the moon-
the silvery beauty, softly broken apart;
many a fragments is seen floating-
all around.

Then the wind stops,
the ripples disappear:
those fragments start falling into one moon.
The silver that was spread
all over the lake,
now becomes more concentrated
into one place - into one moon.

When the lake
is completely without ripples,
the moon is reflected perfectly.
God is reflected perfectly
when there is no ripple in you.

Moon After Day

Moon shed a tear
Moon give me fear
Moon light my way
Moon after day

Moon give me strength
Moon has no length
What I want to say,
Is Moon after day

Moon is full
Moon is dull
Moon light my way
Moon after day

Moon is my life
Moon gave me a knife
Moon slit my wrist
Moon a wonderful bliss

What I want to say
Moon after day!

A Child Remembers His Mother's Death...

She passed one full moon night...
Don't ask me the day...when it was...
Long from now...
A vague remembrance...of charcoal burning...burning slow anxious pain...
It was one full moon night...
When I had not slept...it was the first night before which, sleep had taken me in her warm feathers...
Where she fled from that night...
My eyes o’er the sleepless stars...
Sought her return...
The night when fear was known to me...
The greatest fears of all...
Fear of losing...
It was one full moon night...
Don't ask me the day
I had grown in a night...
My amuse...
She passed and I just looked...
And looked
Passed to where...
Know I not...
Full moon night ‘t was...
Like today...
Its consistent routines...
Slipped she to irregular tracks..

Past pale radiance
Pale radiance to shine o’er faint nostalgia...
(Woke from innocent carelessness...
To what...I amused... it was uncomfortable...awkward...just too bad to be real.)

The Moon Is Full Tonight

the moon is full
mirrored by the crystal

sea and the waters
are so calm like the silk

robe that you undress
before me

life is too beautiful
for the sadness that we bring

to desires we must fulfill
to love we must death till

the moon is so full tonight
let us embrace that lovely light.

A Moment To Remember

A moment to Remember

This night is too beautiful to behold, moon and silence. My heart aches.
Know I will wake up at dawn and regret that I can’t take it with me.
It will all be erased one day and I shall not know that I ever lived. I have
nothing, cannot own anything but my own ageing body, all I can do is to
enjoy the rare moments of fulfillments. I hear a plane high up see its light,
full of passengers going home and back to work. Why would anyone want
to leave this place? Across the road, in a darkened house, a man lies dying
racked by pain he can’t even shave himself. He sees not the full moon.
My life consists of moments, not like takes at a film studio that can be done
over and over again till it’s right. Some moments are too sad to behold.
Do not think of this now, I will drink another cold beer, smoke a cigarette,
look at the stars and dream.

The Moon And The Sun

the moon and the sun looked at each other's eyes
oh.what a surprise! ! they have already met at sunset! !
oh, my, at night they got separed!
their heart was unprepared...
tHE PAIN WAS UNBEARBLE, for they are unseparable

the moon got carried away, the moon had nothing to say...
will they ever see each other?
for they love so one another

their hearts were full of despair
for again they will see each other they declair

the moon's heart was full of passion
the sun's heart was full of compassion

the sun, from the moon he cannot be away

look at the price the moon had to pay...

she preferes to die instead, her consience told her to go ahead

the sun was ever so sad, oh! what a poor young lad

look at how the sun loves the moon

after this cure he will join her soon

now the sun will slowly die

and now in peace may he lie

Blue Moon

Twas a once in a blue moon;

A full moon day when I met you,

Wherein you promised me,

Not with words

That blue was just a colour of love,

That I could paint a rainbow if I want

You, the palette or the moon.

My life came a full circle;

With you encircled in my core,

Every moon hitherto seen,

Will be jealous of oneness

One never could've been.

The Silver Lily

The nights have grown cool again, like the nights
Of early spring, and quiet again. Will
Speech disturb you? We're
Alone now; we have no reason for silence.

Can you see, over the garden-the full moon rises.
I won't see the next full moon.

In spring, when the moon rose, it meant
Time was endless. Snowdrops
Opened and closed, the clustered
Seeds of the maples fell in pale drifts.
White over white, the moon rose over the birch tree.
And in the crook, where the tree divides,
Leaves of the first daffodils, in moonlight
Soft greenish-silver.

We have come too far together toward the end now
To fear the end. These nights, I am no longer even certain
I know what the end means. And you, who've been
With a man--

After the first cries,
Doesn't joy, like fear, make no sound?

Moon Tonight

The turn my car took on Bandra flyover
Helped me see the part of sky with Moon.
And she looked round-faced – full Moon?
Chauffeur had steadied the car, I was not sure.

Mind went back a few years to my Delhi home
I had counted the full moons to my retirement:
Tried to go up on my terrace in Lodhi Garden
On every bright moon-lit night, alas, alone.

Now I wonder how many full moons before death?
But I don’t know how to time the interval between
Now and Death’s arrival for me: why not every one?
Perhaps there can be no better addition of riches to life.

From home, I put off TV, wore shoes, closed door,
And went down to walk under the Moon: she was
On the East at an angle: only if I walk East I see her.
Now I pass the lane between FDA and Artek Nagar.

I see the bits of broken Moon through the dark foliage
Of the trees, sometimes branches, some leaves in pairs
Asleep, while palm leaves swaying a lullaby gently,
Brushing on, without ever touching, the distant moon.

As I went on the main BKC road, I could see the full
Moon on this clear November sky in broad gaps
Where there were no cassia or queen’s tree, and
No star near, or even far, to distract my attention.

I enjoyed seeing the moon, rather self-consciously,
Keeping track of whether anyone passing by
Is watching me watch the Moon, to think “Is he
A poet or just lunatic, about to fall into a pot-hole? '

Before I turned homewards, I felt sad, very sad
To think that the full Moon is absolutely lost
In the lit streets with headlights and neon-lamps
That one has to search for the moon to see her.

Moonlight Memories

Sweet and sad
moon light always beads
the lace with memory leads

in my teens
my hormones oozed out
as I curl out
in the moon lit night

as I grew up
my dreams and loves
all blazed in the cool moon
my blood boiled blushed with delight

all the fantasies
all the sweetest memories
romantic webs knit across
the full moon sky with millions stars.

the nights were awake
when she peeped inside
I loved her in watery beds
silvery threads woven in filmy sheds

yet, she weighed upon my nights
when my mother breathed that night
just that night and nomore right
as she blazed at distant sight

I waited till midnight
to relieve motherless plight
at the courtyard bereft
of lovely mother's gait.

the shroud of moon light
now fell upon me tight
it choked me breathless
freezing attractions gayless

I still wonder at full moon nights
if my mother did come out of the grave
and did she engrave her love upon the pave
did the wintry dews make her shiver
and did she cry and groan in fever

the icy night evoked further
terrible sights of dead ones dear
Still, I could not bury the delicate mother
banishing the memories of full moon weather.

Even If Im Gone

Every time I go away
You know I want to stay
I feel like Im turning to
I try to overcome this pain
Theres no easy way
Im already missing you
As I look out over the northern lights
I can almost feel you here tonight (2x)
Even if Im gone
And it feels like forever
I pray us soon be home
In your loving arms again
And even if Im gone
Theres a part of you still with me
Close my eyes and I think how beautiful
And I know Im not alone.
So Im trying to be strong
I know I carry on
I still feel the emptiness
If only I can find a way
To be together every day and it say
Back to the loneliness
See the full moon shine in the distant sky
I can almost feel you by my side (2x)
See the full moon shine in the distant sky
And I wonder if you can hear me crying
Hear me cry......
Soon be home........
In your loving arms.......
(close my eyes)

Full Moon

Havent you noticed a kind of madness in my eyes?
Its only me, dear, in my midnight disguise.
Pay no attention if I crawl across the room.
Its just another full moon.
Dont be afraid of me when Im walking in my sleep.
Dont get alarmed, dear, when I start to crawl and creep.
Try not to listen when I mumble like a loon.
Its just another full moon.
Its just another full moon.
You see before you a truly broken man.
cause when it gets to midnight, I dont know who I am.
Full moons a-callin, and its put a curse on me,
And it will never set me free.
The full moons still up there,
Like a great white balloon.
The owls are a-callin,
And theyre singin my tune.
The night keeps a-callin.
I wish the day would come soon,
To get away from another full moon.
Here comes another full moon.
If your hands start shakin
When night starts to fall,
If youre scared of the moonlight
And the shadows on the wall,
If the face in the mirror
Isnt you at all,
Its just another full moon.
Its just another full moon.
La la la la la la.
La la la la la la.
La la la la la la.
La la la la la la.
Its just another full moon.

Our Moon

July 1989
Alone I watched the Full Moon rise tonight.
The same Moon rose over you just hours ago.
Did you also watch it rise? Did clouds obscure the view?
Was your night as fine for stargazing?

When the Moon is just starting to clime my horizon
It is finishing its' journey across your sky.
Were you still awake to watch it set?
Did dreams call you away?
Tonight I will watch till this Moon leaves to find you again.

The calendar says each Moon shines on you first.
But the Moon doesn't follow... it leads!
Full Moon... Full Circle
Ruler of tides
My Moon first tonight.
I shall wish it safely back to you.

Last July the Moon carried grief for me.
Was your Moon full of Joy then?
I know it wounds you now.

Once Full Moons of June saw each of us born
Your Moon predating mine in years.
Round Moon... pale circular symbol of eternity
First seen by you... then me... then back again

This Moon connects us, at least in my own heart.
Allow me to wish it back to you fuller, brighter.
The July Moon rises Full over us tonight.
Full... of Promise

No Compromise

It is something no one may like to compromise
One may raise head high with fulfillment of promises
It may take you full steps ahead with pride
If you try to recon ciliate and don’t hide

To lower the head means full recognition
Integrity very high and never in question
Full praise with fame in mention
All roses on heads and no tension

There is great smile on face
It is proudest moment of all after winning the race
If one can live with honor and pride
The happy moments no one can hide

It is easy to go with
As you are fully armed with teeth
It may remain so till your death
It may end with full satisfaction when people lay a wreath

Moonspell

Breaking through the wandering clouds
the white light being spread from above
Giving me chills and making me want to sit there, all night
the full moon in all it's glory,
is calling to me, untill the morning
waiting for some attention, the wolves howl
blistering my thoughts,
the full moon's reflection in my eyes
feeling a distant sense of animality
disturbing my routine with insanity
wondering where I stand,
Looking in a lake,
the full moon reflected in my hand

For Ladies

I wished full moon still to grow
In its zenith with full bright glow
No where to be seen such a shining object
Only one of its kinds with cool and fascinating act

I had read about several praises
Lots of admirations with mad chase
Source of aspirations and lovers refuge
Who can say no at beautiful scene and refuse?

I had learnt lot things from this holy object
To remain cool under any circumstances or act
Nothing to loose from merely remaining quiet
Complete cyclone was to pass of peacefully and let

When ever I had chance to look back at past memory
I could still feel proud and claim it without remorse or sorry’
I had seen her image in moon and dreamed about
She almost ruled the mind and nothing else was sought

What prevented from out rightly asking her hand?
The society has always leaning towards richness or trend
I faced this dilemma but could gather the strength
We almost dreamed about life on same length

Life was to be neatly spread over years
I was not believing or refusing ears
She had made up her mind to fall in lines
As I saw it as heavenly gift or chance

Life was not that smooth or had fine sailing
But it was accepted fact with no trailing
Life was heavenly sent chance and was universal fact
We knew its deep meaning and hence had nothing to react

We had seen all seasons with bright sunshine
All were to be seen and reflected as very much divine
Who could answer for their being in our life?
Who could sincerely answer for it better than our wife?

All those years really take me back in those struggling days
Cool breeze, powerful blaze and cool moon always showed the ways
What else man can learn from this heavenly bodies?
Especially when question arise to defend ladies?

Sonnet: Our Life On Earth

The Moon is shining less brightly than 'fore,
And seems to fade behind thick clouds that sail;
Its dim outline too fades with time much more;
The ghost-like Moon appearing truly pale!

But not for long, the Moon is back whole-size;
The clouds that blocked its view have gone away;
The Moon is shining once again- so nice!
The night now looks as if it has turned day.

Our life on earth is like the Moon and Sun;
Its joys and sorrows wax and wane till death;
Sometimes, our life is full of vigour, fun,
To some like stars remain until last breath.

This is the way things happen on earth Man,
And changing them altogether, none can.
