Fire Rages

Rioters know no race
They have only ugly face
What have they to do with passion?
Leave behind plunders and only compassion?

Who is benefited out of it?
Black, white or locals who deemed it fit?
It is engineered to reap the spoils
The racial feelings is on boil

No one did any damage
For years they did manage
All of sudden carnage engineered
Many children and plunderers volunteered

You can see fire al around
What else is left to see as sound?
Country is on turmoil
The red blood is spread on soil

I wish good sense prevails
All evil designs curbed and fails
No more deaths and burning of buildings
It takes years of confidence building

Many may see it as racial upheaval
It is condemned on its arrival
No place for uncivilized acts
We must learn from history the facts

Not only properties have lost
But eroded the trust earned most
Who will heal the scars left by mistrust?
The hatred and carnage created by lust

No civilized nations may agree
We are all human beings and free
Not cast, religion.color or race may take over
We shall take all precaution not to provide cover

Not pledges alone but condemnation in strongest words
That may provide little confidence and to look forward
People may come back with tears and agony
What have we done to and lost for so many?

Race:

Tell me who chose his race
Who has designed his face,
Before he was born?
Is it you?
Show me your race request!
Explain to me your color pallet
Why are you putting race first?

Did your ancestry choose
Their skin color?
Did color even matter?
Who gives you the right,
To discriminate against others?

Telling me we are "not equal"
Putting yourself against the bible
Get out of this circle
Get out of this bubble
This action is reversible.

So much taste of pain
Too much mark of chain
Not to remember, not to maintain
The spirit and the complain
To the next generation, you explain!

As it takes love
To love someone else
It takes more than love
To love who hated you
You have to embrace
A total different race
If you are a racist
You need God's grace
If you are a sexist
You are out of trace.

Little Richard created Rock n Roll
Who is control it?
British created Soccer
Who is best at it?
People lynched people
Over race
People burned people
Over sect
People killed people
Over religion
If you discriminate
You have lost the race
Under the skin we are one
Black, White, Spanish
Asian, Indian just name
Human being is universal
Living in peace is principal
With every race is just moral.

Walk In The Night 2

Walk in the night
Walk in the night of peace
Walk in the serene night
And prove the theories of
The pseudo scientists wrong
Walk in the with God on your side
Walk in the night
And I swear I will be your devout
Disciple and you will be the guru
Of inter racial harmony and with you
We shall rock the bastions of
Racial supremacy
To their flimsy foundations
Walk in the night and
The dreams of your clean
Mind shall seep into
Your soul and you
Will be saved by the Lord
Take my hand
And walk with confidence
In the black star filled night
Walk into the heart of
The black night of
My black lover's night
Walk in the trouble free night
You might have heard some stories
It is the people with ultra
Motives who paint
The night black
And they blacken the good
Name of the night
And the stereotypes about
The night become entrenched
In our minds and that's
Where racism takes root
Walk in the night of the home
Of the array of the black stars
Walk in the night under
The prevailing darkness of the night
Clearly let your thoughts flow
In the deep dark forest of the night
Walk with me in the night and you
Will see that I mean you no harm
Allow my child and your child to play
Together in the night and let them
Learn to trust each other
Walk in the night with my friend's
Friend and rid your minds of the
Stereotypes of racial hatred
That you have accumulated through
The passage of time
Walk in the night hand in hand
With me and you shall not try
To see me so much in your image
And I will not let my unfounded
Fear of the pigmentation on your
Skin ruin the love and the mutual
Trust that exists between us
Walk with me in this marvelous night
And be my friend or better still
Be my lover to complete
The cycle of racial harmony
Walk in the night and see
With your uncluttered mind
The ways of the world without
The confusing things of
The day blocking your clear
Appreciation of those who
Follow a religion
That's different from your
And their racial orientation
That cannot be changed by neither
You or myself

Race Comes Down To Race

This Country prides itself on racial diversity
After many hard fought years for civil rights
Truth is there is still prejudice and antipathy
Race comes down to race for biased plebiscite

(Vote for the best man, not the color his skin)

On Reading Blake's 'Little Black Boy

Two centuries or even more gone by
Since William Blake wrote 'The little black boy'
He told in verse how black skin equalled white
And in what he wrote of course the poet was right.

He wrote the famous verses at a time
When to be black was looked on as a crime
A lesson in human love perhaps one day
That others might learn from what he had to say.

His verses put him in a higher place
When he wrote of the equality of race
And in history the great poet made his mark
When he preached that white was no greater than dark.

But even in the twenty first century
Some with the Poet's views still do not agree
Some still say black is not as good as white
But of course these people live in darker light.

A lesson here for all humanity
From bard who lived in eighteenth century
That racial discrimination is unwise
As all different races equal in God's eyes.

Once in thousand years

Once in thousand years
Such a story appear and we hear
Much to the disbelief to the ears
With lots of grief and tears

A star may fall from heaven
On earth to shine and enlighten
To be put on celebrities list often
All with golden advices render comfort to listen

Lot many years have been passed
Every human being is unhappy and harassed
Where all happy days have gone?
What wrong have we done?

Take rebirth here among us and guide
No one can us to safety and provide
Much awaited relief and peaceful life
Life has become burden to walk on edge of knife

Lord, when can that happen again?
Everything has gone to long drain
We are starving and dying for no fault
Our wound are aggravated by deadly salt

No one is here to take our care
We have no idea and place to go where
You reappear and show us path to salvation
We may follow you without any reservation

Time has ripened for earth to disappear
There is no more patience to bear
All the pain and agony beyond our tolerance
It is proving hell for all of us at once

We are sure to survive but with plight
No more solution is in sight
How to know what is wrong or right?
For each and everything we have to fight

You descend on earth and rescue us from clutches
You bring an end to slavery stop before they reach
We will die for simple reason and not for cause
Just think for while without waiting for pause

Why such feelings run around globe?
What makes all activities to be put on probe?
Are we unintentionally killings the nature?
We are certainly loosing ground for sure

We are getting worst news from all the quarters
More and more people are coming forward to claim as masters
They want to spread hegemony over all aspects
The religion and nobility has lost all the respects

Under ground is poisoned and so is the surface
Atmosphere has pollution and there is mad race
Earth can be wiped out quite number of times
It may leave deadly effect not to be remembered sometimes

Only you can grant us safe heaven and place
You have capability to take the helm of affairs
There may be little flare up and we are over
Provide us safety, good life and peaceful cover

Big Sharks

What has happened to my country?
Millions starve and remain hungry
We confine to express lips services
Only feeling pity and making tall promises

How many big sharks have emerged?
Wait for kills and remain submerged
Pounce upon at right moment
The disappearance from scene no one laments

How many may be dying unnatural deaths?
How many may be lucky to find wreaths?
Yet hunger for material gain remains top aim
There is everything to snatch for and claim

How much we may need for our life journey?
Can that be made smooth with material or money?
Is it not the mad race to feel not contended?
Claim honesty and innocence pretended

I can pardon any crime
I know it is critical time
Everybody wants to be millionaire
But gets him bogged down and taka no where

I take free air but feel slavery
Liberty in name but not in sense necessary
All vultures are in open to grab
Even human beings are ready to stab

No one thinks about nation or country
They want people to be suppressed and live in misery
Want free hand and no opposition
They want everything with nice composition

Open loot and land grabbing in private
Others crimes not come out in open but definitely relate
Not people but as if they are masters
Enough of black money and support to muster

Time is not far when people will be sprayed with bullets
They won’t come out to express views through ballots
The nexus may go on in engineered democratic way
Humanity may cry and loose but nothing may take them away

We have seen and witnessed the clumsy face
All good phrases in name but really a mad race
Power hungry can do anything and stoop below
No one may agree to it but compulsion to allow

Till the rain is over and gone
G-g-gimme the beat now (face the music)
Lead line (face the music)
If the air is a little thick in this room 2nite
I reckon its the result of an onslaught of separatist rookies
Overcome by this colorful sight
Talkin so fast that even they
Talkin so fast that even they
Dont know what they mean
Of all the things that base a rhyme
How is it that u everytime
Regurgitate the racist lines that keep us apart?
Thank God this aint monopoly
Ud make us all go back 2 start
Race
In the space I mark human (face the music)
Race
Face the music
We all bones when we dead
Race
In the space I mark human (face the music)
Cut me, cut u
Both the blood is red
I gotcha
Race
Race
Check it
Three seats over theres a lady black
Entrusted 2 her care is a little white girl
And the fact of the matter is
Before her momma or another kid at school
Tells her about the fallacy that 1 race rules over the other
Shed be a much-better-off-left fool (face the music)
If we never heard about the evils that those before us committed
Then how my dear, tell me now how my dear, tell me now how now would we know
And then the band say
Race
In the space I mark human (face the music)
Race
Face the music
We all bones when we dead
Race
In the space I mark human (face the music)
Cut me, cut u
Both the blood is red

D-d-down with h-i-s-t-o-r-y and all this bs propagandi
Keepin u from me and me from u as we grow
I dont wanna know (I dont wanna know)
Why those before us hated each other
Id rather believe they never did
Id rather believe (Id rather, Id rather believe)
That theres hope 4 a kid
And if he imitates the best
I guess thats what Ill try 2 be
And I will let the rest dissolve with my guitar underneath the sea
Race

Face the music (face the music)
Face the music
Race
In the space I mark human (face the music)

The Evil I See In Others

The evil I see in others in my own self I see
And the so called evil people are no less evil than me
'Tis not my place to judge others leave the Law take it's course
Than us mere living mortals there is some far greater force.

Look at the power of Nature no greater force than she
She claims all living creatures yet of guilt she is free
None ever say she's evil what's evil anyway?
The words of good and evil just words that people say

About those they see as good or evil others we like to pigeon hole
Have I right to condemn others when there's darkness in my soul
I'm only good and evil come tell me what are you
Since you tell me that you have a God but to your own self are you true?

For a callous act of one individual we condemn an entire race
And people are judged by their postal address and the colour of their face
We talk of love and harmony whilst war we do embrace
By making yourself a better person you'll make the World to live in a better place.

The evil I see in others in my own self I see
But you there Mr Perfect of all sin are you free?
You say that one is evil leave that person alone
You are not one that's free of taint so you should not cast the stone.

The ugly human face

Wailing with tears and
Helplessly in commotion,
All of you’re telling to write
The history of hatred, enmity, killings,
The history of human ugly face.

My pen is dried up,
Tell me in which medium,
And language should I write.
Where to begin and
Where to end
Such history of human ugly face.

Oh! Betrayer
You’re telling me to wipe out from the history
Of such human ugly face,
That shattered and shook human conscience,
That haunts the face of those innocent people,
Killed and hurt; widows and orphans.
That hums: that reminds.

Telling me just to close my eyes.
But I’m not blind.
Telling me not to speak,
But I’m not dumb.
Telling me not to write the truth,
But I cannot write anything but the truth.
How can I deceive the history where I belong?

Human memory is short,
Tears would dry up,
The blood would be washed away with time
But the silent words, written in the heart of each human ugly face
Imbedded forever and immortal.

Let me dip the pen in the smeared blood,
The blood of all religions, caste, creed and colour, poor and rich,
The thick blood of those innocent persons.

All ills

We had heard about racial discrimination and abuses
We were claiming tall but had to admit and could not refuse
The world is fast coming out of ethnic cleansing
How much more time we may need for real cleaning?

It ails society and countries on large scale
We have not come in terms and really failed
Our eyes still refuses to accept green
Before this such scenario never had been

Black and whites have fought for centuries and cursed
They wounds have been aggravated further and still not nurtured
Dark skin has some what not been hated most but the nations
Have remained at war for decades and strained the relations

What did the apartheid literally do other than to create hatred?
Where were the real feelings for country to stand united and lead?
Centuries of old relation evaporated in faction of seconds
Blood hungry rivals fought over for nothing but only diamonds

We have heard the poor being subjected to harassment and negligence
We too have come across the atrocities and rights violations
It has been tackled to large extent but this Oh God, terrorism
Really a dastardly act aimed at nothing but to malign the humanism

We have fought guerilla war and come across deadly organizations
Years of turmoil and blood bath have ruined us culture and institutions
We have nothing else left except to lick and nurture the wounds
Still that remains buried in mind and some traces are found

We are strongly divided over the issue of strong nationalism
It can have nothing to do with any kind of terrorism
The honorable ways are there open to wage the struggle
The innocent people can not taken as hostage and killed in jungles

It is possible strong armies may fail to curb such menace
The countries involved may stop the in flow of finance
The moral support is welcome in any form and appreciated
The terror and barbaric attacks for gaining freedom can not be equated

The world has witnessed the holocaust of atomic destruction
The world leaders are worried about capture of such weapons
What will be fate of entire world if that becomes tragedy?
Such elements must be rooted out as first steps of the remedy

Apartheid, color, cast and religion has not done much damage
Countries at war were persuaded and won over to manage
The next war may be deadly and even worst than ever expected
Why not we consider small part for all human lives to be respected?

Evil On Foot

For ten years
Evil stood on the hills
Of Afghanistan
Evil on foot
Moved in and out of Pakistan

When he hit the West
Lives erupted in dust and smoke
Concrete and glass icons fell
Tears flooded the street of nations
All this
As Evil
Stroked his beard in victory

For ten years
Blood stuck to human corps
Evil reigned triumphant
Delighted in the carnage
And Justice waits

As Evil walked
And years passed
Desire for revenge boils
More lives taken
In the name of Allah
And Justice waits

Suddenly
On Sunday
A morning in Spring
Justice dressed in green
Struck
And Evil without a gasp died

Confidence

(words & music by tepper - bennett)
When everyone thought the world was flat
Columbus said its round
He went down in history
And america was found
cause
He had confidence
A little thing called confidence
Theres no job too immense when youve got
Confidence
With a c and an o and an n and an f
And an I and a d and an ence
Put em all together and what have you got
Confidence
Youll be surprised what you can do
If you will only try
Remember the tortoise and the hare
Who had that famous race
The speedy hare wound up nowhere
And slow poke took first place
cause
He had confidence
A little thing called confidence
Theres no job too immense when youve got
Confidence
Youll be surprised what you can do
If you will only try
How do you know that you cant ride a rainbow in the sky
Youll be surprised what you can do
If you will only try
All you need is confidence
A little thing called confidence
Theres no job too immense when youve got
Confidence
With a c and an o and an n and an f

Put em all together and what have you got

Good For Her

Good for her
She left finally that man that abused the hell out of her
She was used and abused by him
She was his slave
He took advantage of her
And only now she had the courage
And she finally said
To him
I have enough of you
She now left him for good
She finally divorced him
She had the courage to leave for good
They were not made for each other
Love has ended
She haven’t lost her pride
She has finally gained back her confidence
Now she can be proud of herself
She can finally go on with her life
I don’t want another man
I will not make that mistake again
I have no love or feelings for him anymore
I have plenty of feelings for myself
I love myself
I have built my trust again
I can walk with my head up high
I was sitting on a high horse
And of course it hurts badly when you fall
But it was a good lesson to learn

Grow The Seeds

It is desired to grow the seeds
Had remained always critical needs
Generations after generations are carried on
Many changes have taken place and time has gone

It has been divine wish to encourage the growth
Overall improvement in morality and in general or both
It needed clear foresight to provide the impetus
The nature is thus there to provide all inputs

Seasons make change and everybody easily finds
Spring definitely creates magic in human mind
Very nice and congenial atmosphere is created
The human mind favors and some change is recreated

Seeds are more important
Some thing should be poured instant
The changes take place
And there is emergence of new face

The tendency is to grow and multiply
The world at large must simplify
It is normal process to develop fast
But human race as such must not last

It must take care of everything
Humane touch is unique and something
It comes in form of passion, love and hatred
We are born tough yet should not be mislead

It is prime concern to keep speed at pace
Humanity is not a forgone conclusion or race
It has to remain and must thrive
We need to strengthen it to survive

Black Messiah

Everybody got the right to speak their mind
So dont shoot me for saying mine
Everybody talking about racial equality
cos everybodys equal in the good lords eyes
But if I told you that God was black
What would you think of that
I bet you wouldnt believe it
Theres a self made prophet living right next to me
He said the black messiahs gonna come and set the whole world free
He looked at me with his evil eye and prophesied
And he really believed it
He said a black messiah is gonna set the world on fire
And hes no liar, cos he has truly heard the word
Everybody talking about racial equality
But Im the only honky living on an all black street
They knock me down cos they brown and I white
Everybody got the right to speak their mind
So dont shoot me for saying mine
Everyobody talking about racial equality
You hear everybody talking about equal rights
But whites white, blacks black and thats that
And thats the way you should leave it
Dont want no black messiah to come and set the world on fire
A black messiah is gonna come and rule the world
Everybody got to show a little give and take
Everybody got to live with a little less hate
Everybody gotta work it out, we gotta sort it out
Everbody got the right to speak their mind
So dont shoot me for saying mine

Together we live

Together we live
United to believe
Blood is red
It should never be shed

When it flows
Wind also blows
If donated
Bond is created

If move is charitable
All cards are on table
Graph is going high
As the free birds go up in the sky

If turned into bloodshed
Mother earth becomes red
Humanity turns really dead
What is left behind then to read?

Do we want to provide?
Whole of mankind an excuse to divide
Yet another blow to harmonious move
What may we try and prove?

We have no means?
To remove prejudicial scene
But certainly have an alternative
Tell people not to be selective

We will agree on one principle
Keep religion and faith out of trouble
No color, cast or creed to hijack the bus
Induction of full faith may be real force

Lovely land

What actually separates us from each other?
Language same, dresses same and lovely land to wonder
Best of the religion to claim holier than holy
Still forget to own the misconduct and folly

Two brothers live separate in their own nest
Try to prove better and extract the possible best
Yet some grudge bearing that he should not progress fast
At least not in the life time till it is over or finally lasts

This I talked of general tendency that prevails in us
We have lost the confidence and full trust
It has generated lots of mistrust and hatred
We don’t know where to go and pick the lead

We had same father and motherland
We lived with neighbors as very good friends
What miracle turned it over night?
We were thrust upon to cut throat and fight

Why such mass exodus took place at wrong time and place?
What did we achieve after so many years in mad race?
Both the sides suffer from deficiency in food and nutrition
Complete national wealth is spent on armament and ignition

What will we be leaving behind for future generation?
Fear, hatred, insecurity and hazards of radiation
Are we playing the role of Satan to diminish the peace?
Life will prove tough and not be spent at ease

We are in abundance in some of the commodities
We can lessen the burden and reduce the impossibilities
Both sides can benefit the richness of nature
Such is climate and possibility for future

I wish some good counsel to prevail
Peace process and normal channel should not derail
Let people come and talk face to face
I think that will be turning point or crucial phase

Thousands have perished so far for silly reasons
Land is there where it was and has not changed with seasons
I see some light and spirit behind
One day we may close in as friends and find

WE have shed enough of blood
Even rivers had not that much flood
We blocked the movement and road
Now we are burdened with load

The sun may rise again with same intensity
The land may be purified with love and sanity
It will have secret blessings with divinity
We must strive hard with its continuity

Let us bury the differences once for all
Let people move around and respond the call
We can build the trust and have faith
It will not separate us even threatened with death

We Do Not Need Racists

There are good and bad people in every race and creed
And racism is a thing the human race does not need
Prejudice and mistrust to war only lead
And red is the colour of the blood we all bleed.

We do not need racists since they cause offence
And nothing good can be said in their defence
Consumed by their hatreds their spirit is small
We salute those who stand for a fair go for all.

There is no such a thing as a superior race
And the fair go for all the fair minded embrace
On your feelings on prejudice leave none in doubt
Against racism don't be afraid to speak out.

In the Human World there's no one race to the fore
We are only mere mortals that and nothing more
To the scythe of the reaper we eventually must fall
So here's to egalatarianism and a fair go for all.

The Journey without shortcuts

The Journey traveled without shortcuts,
is a journey worth taking.
For there are no shortcuts,
to any place worth going.

The destination does not matter,
but the Journey to it does.
For at the destination,
you will not learn anything.

You will not accomplish much either.
On the Journey to it, however,
you learn many things,
and accomplish much.

On the Journey,
you learn. You learn that,
'We are not human beings on a spiritual journey,
but spiritual beings on a human journey.' (-my good friend Joe)

So travel hard,
and travel well.
Choose your companions wisely,
and leave everything behind.

Never look back,
always move forward.
For 'Yesterday is history,
and history is miles away.' (-Matthew West)

But never forget anything either,
learn all that you can,
and treasure the good times.
Then this Journey will be like no other.

This is the Journey,
of life.
Our life here on Earth,
so don't take shortcuts.

This Journey won't be easy,
but you have a guide.
The guide will never leave your side,
and he will carry you through the rough terrain.

He loves you more than you will ever know,
and he gave you this Journey,
so travel it while holding his hand.
You are not alone.

So again,
never look back,
but don't forget either,
and don't stop.

Don't take any shortcuts,
run the whole race.
You are not alone
on this Journey,
the Journey of life.
