I did not find in her any change or shift

You brought me up in beautiful atmosphere
I grew with the age without any fear
You had all the pain and agony to bear
You were there but eyes full of tears

Was it your affection and perfect attachment?
You were enjoying the glorious moments
You spread the fragrance like rose scent
You were for me exclusively and heavenly sent

I shan’t have the same moments I entire life
I see the same feeling in my wife
She has all the qualities of good mother
How women can be different from each other

Your eyes used to twinkle like stars in the sky
I still don’t find the answer for it and why?
For any single mischief I used to feel shy
You always loved me and did not make me cry

Mom, I really miss and where you are?
Why did you leave us and gone so far?
I ask all but find no answer even from stars
Only one star laugh mildly at me and that is Mars

I am growing old but still miss you a lot
You protected me from cold and hot
You were there for me in all the way
You were the bright sun for me in a day

I find it dark without your light
You had broad vision and sight
You used to scold us but did not ignore
You awoke whole night when I peacefully snored

I weep on very day of this fateful year
You left us leaving behind in tears
Why all mothers perform such sacrifice?
We feel so sad at the time of her demise

Miss You Badly

I was selfish and erring human
She was exception and lovely woman
I call her my mother and best in world
How safe I was when went to her fold!

I cry to full extent and miss badly
I have no memory and spent day very sadly
O mom! Show me your face at least once
I have tried but have no more chance

I vividly remember being at orphanage
Somebody had wrapped me and dropped near drainage
I was taken to child home and brought up with care
World was so small for me to go somewhere

I understand you may be threatened by dark clouds
It may be puzzling you with lightening sound
How terrible it might have been to make night round!
dropp the child at wild place and never to be found

I can imagine about the inner cruse for life
You might have tried to be ideal and good wife
Alas! I could have been your beautiful baby
Just little blessing from almighty might have kept you steady

I have breathed safely in their hands
They all are like me and behave as friends
I look at stars and try to find you out
To know the meaning of 'mother' and think about

You may surely be innocent like moon
You may try to find me out soon
Mom, how will you find me from so many children?
You may have no faintest ideas even

I miss you today and feel shy to look at sun
Why had all divine forces made you to run?
What was the compelling situation for you to desert?
Does the situation not change it to revert?

Mom, wherever you are and whatever you are
You are my favorite and shining star
I see no fading light in you but twinkling shine
You always come in my dream and look fine

I will not cry as an orphan
I am daughter of pretty woman
I miss you in heart and silently weep
You remember me sometimes but happily sleep

I know how hard it may be to leave behind
A crying child to somebody's trust and never to find
You might have dashed your head against walls
With heavy heart you might have obeyed to calls

Today is the day to remember mothers all over
Let them find in comfortable position with shield or cover
Many more may be abandoned in coming days
Let god suggest and instill beautiful ways

I curse the luck and miss you
But not pass the blame as you have passed through

She shows her face to ask me how I am

I saw a friend of mine

I heard she had another man,
I wondered how you felt about it?

I hear a loud voice in morning "Allah Akbar"
It is heard across the town and even very far
I come out from the bed and look at the bright star
Same glittering and light even placed among small stars

What a pleasant morning to feel with his name!
One may wonder with the little thought "from where he came"
It is time to bow head and offer earnest prayers
Then to prepare for other activities as players

Why other religious places too lag behind?
Same meaning but with different slogan to find
Remember almighty for his graceful act
Owe everything to him for this known fact

O lord Ram or Allah Akbar I honestly swear
I am not afraid from life but have only one fear
Never subject us to feel pain and shed the tears
Only bless us each morning for your name to hear

Even if we are fast asleep you repeat the same cycle
Come out from your vault and make the full circle

Where on earth human beings find it around!

Kindness emerge all of sudden whenever I see at the cross
Force me to think twice whether life was not at total loss
Did I perform any act that can be detrimental to my faith?
What will I answer when I shall see thou after the death?

I open the eyes gracefully and thank almighty
What a day to enjoy and feel with simple beauty!
Everywhere to see colorful birds and enjoy melody

Oh, mom please

I was so much attached to my mother
She was kind and no one can be like her
All mothers may be same as to be called
I miss her all the time when recalled

What to speak and what to miss
She will touch the hand and kiss
She will hold the body and embrace
I could see tears on her face

That she will feel enough of joy when we are near
Our safety was her concern and she had unknown fear
She would not tell it in open but disclose sometimes
I used to stare at her in disbelief and see wet eye with tears

I have seen her very closely and observed some good aspects
I have realized how mothers have been always commanding and had great respect
She would not let things pass easily until we told the truth
She would not forces on us for asking any proof

I may sit in her lap and find whole world
She was mild but aggressive and cold
She would blow wild in no time
And come down too any time

I would gaze her in eyes and it will comfort
Being child I had association and good rapport
She would move her fingers in my hair
I would feel gentle breeze from the air

Mom, tell me how you brought me in this world?
How were dad and you tied in not and got in fold?
She would smiling say nothing and hide the face
I would again stare at her face and wait for reply in case

Mom was happy all the time in our company
Our family comprised of not so many
We were few in numbers and enjoyed too much
But she was quite different as such

She would call all of us to sit before her
She will instill confidence and advise us not to bother
“So long she is there” we need not feel insecure
She would say often to make us very sure

I would touch her nerve to no more
I will try to know and explore
About our ancestors and grandmother
She would feel bitterness at reference of others

“I was not preferred only for marriage”
Your dad was black and I had to manage
Grandma was too reserve to accept the fact
She thought We had committed a sinful act

She did not bless us till the last
She remained with her views very steadfast
She was obsessed with creed, color and cast
She saw so much hatred in contrast

I thought for a while and left her alone
It devastated me as if hit by cyclone
Some of the silly things shatter our life
Mother had tolerated enough as wife

You may call me dear
Agony and pain you bear
No complaints or words I hear
Why not you make it very clear?

You always guided me as sun beam
Projected work as complete team
Life would have been utterly failure
If you had not made it fully secure

I am paying it very dearly
I miss the death very nearly
Cry from distance makes me upset
Nothing seems right from the outset

I may not deliver any good
My promises may not serve as tonic for food
How to prove and show the earnest feeling?
I can’t shed the tears even if willing?

The world, people and nature will laugh at me

A Lola or grandma

She remained motionless and was laid on the ground
Her mortal remains could only be visibly found
She had completed her successful journey around
It was destined time to depart with no alarm or sound

We stood motionless and watched her lifeless body
She was before placed before us for the knowledge of everybody
Soon she will be taken to final place and laid to rest
This was real time for all of us to remain calm and stand the test

Oh, grandma you are no more
Who I will remember and adore?
I never witnessed such scene this before?
I couldn’t think about any idea to explore

She was source of strength to all of us
She had all the courage and trust
She was like complete shed as that of tree
We us to live and feel completely free

She will call me personally and confide
Would you not tell me truth and not hide?
Why you want to lead your life as lone woman?
Don’t you prefer honest and trustworthy as your man?

“No” I used to argue loudly and then cry?
Aged persons seemingly asking same questions, why?
I used to be in rage but same time feeling very shy
Grandma was really a kind woman and making worth try

I may miss her very badly as she is no more with family
I cried a lot with emotions and looked so silly
It was the moment for all of us to shed tears
She was now not among us and those were the worst fears

She lived her life with full honor
Brought us up in family even though we were minor
She worked very hard for our well being
We felt as if we were crippled without wing

“Lola” or grandma has left for heavenly abode
I still feel she is among us and never bade
She is remaining before my eyes all the day
I don’t feel loneliness and find the correct way

She used to call me and whisper in ears
“What will you really do in coming year? ”
You got to find a lovely companion
He should be real all-rounder and champion

“I will keep him at bay and never allow”
He will have to obey and strictly follow
If he doesn’t then he will have to forgo
I will not accept and let him go”

Such were nicest words that still sound my mind
No ideal family may have luck to have such lola to find
I may miss but may find her everywhere in the home
I still may hear her foot steps when stroll or roam

Dreary Night

What happened on that day before the sun set?
Has anyone ever seen a star in the sky on a dreary night?
Has anyone ever ridden upon the tail of a shooting star?
Too hard for me to believe, as I cannot fathom reality-
I would go in my father’s garden trying to find myself- though
All I can see are the roses-
My eyes see clearly and I look all about but all I see are roses.

Yesterday I was walking home terrified of people walking behind me.
I saw a daffodil in full bloom, in all of its glory.
But I wept, though unobtrusively- tears of destitute fear.

It cannot be spring on the fourth day of February,
Although I may long for it to be-
I cannot sing songs of love and hopefulness, as
I have never been in love, or never wished to be.

I ask myself- have you ever seen a star on a dreary night?
Did you ever ride bareback upon the tail of a shooting star?
My sanity is buried beneath tons of stones upon
Which I have fallen, while running, trying to escape the pathway of my delusions-

I am strong inside, I have been told, and I rarely scream aloud.
When I close my eyes all I can see are roses-
As those growing in my father’s garden-
It has been years since he has passed away.

I hear voices early in the morning threatening me.
They cannot be silenced. It is still dark outside.
But when I close my eyes I can still see the roses- yellow, red and white-
I ask myself- what happened on that night I recall, twenty years ago?

My father died and his garden remains-
My mother died soon afterward, leaving nothing but memories behind.
I remember the daffodil I saw yesterday-
I should have picked it for my mother and placed it in a vase-
But she would never see it because she left this world- without saying “goodbye”.

I am a stranger to this world and am still trying to find my way through the darkness.
I could take a ride on the tail of a shooting star and close my eyes and dream, as
I am searching for a new place in time, even though mysteriously-
When I close my eyes- all I can see are the roses dancing in a gentle winter’s breeze,
Though they are now withering away and dying.

It is a dreary winter’s night - but the stars are out and the moon is full.
It now illuminates the path I walk and I would give my soul to the world for
Some peace of mind and all I can do is close my eyes and
Follow the pathway of my fantasies and pray-
My wish would be to see the light shine upon the world of my delusions.

As I close my eyes and wish upon a star I weep- though
All I can see are roses, their petals to the wind- dead to the world outside.
Darkness prevails but I believe I see a star on this dreary night, silencing my tears.
And while that daffodil looks striking beneath the light of the full moon-
A night has never looked so beautiful, not even in a dream.

With green ground

I sat in corner almost feeling lonely
Even though the evening was pleasant and lovely
The Sun was about to set and sky was turning red
The Sun was loosing shine and I was feeling sad

Life had seen almost all colors
Right from childhood dreamer
To all events that led to marriage
And from that after to present age

I t was simple journey to be taken along
Wife was with me for right or wrong
How could it be possible without her participation?
I was weighing her contribution with invaluable relation

The birth of first child was like angel's arrival
We almost forgot everything including the struggle
We were in tight rope to meet both the ends
Yet his inclusion in family changed our trend

The birth of second child almost finished our crusade
Now it was time to adopt strict family control and forbade
Any more attempt to include new members in the family
We were now a complete family and lead it happily

What a lovely show to become horse and crawl?
The grand children are refusing to make me any withdrawn
They are on my back and beating with sticks
With their smooth skin legs and hitting kicks

I must be feeling nice in the last leg of journey
To leave behind everything and offer prayers to almighty
Have I to leave behind everything?
This has made me to feel bad in the evening

I see beautiful garden with its full blossom
How these children make noise and roam in the room?
I see it with my happy eyes and wonder heaven
What else one should expect when some people are not offered it even

The sun may set and night may creep in
What else can be before eyes and seen?
I pray Him for taking me along full round
The earth is same yet it is covered with green ground

I Miss You

I miss you
When I'm over here
I feel down that I won't see you again
When I'm with you I’m all jolly
I enjoy being with you when we're together
You get me so well

I miss you
So much when you're not here with me
I feel like, I have been left in the rain alone waiting for you to come to me
You make me laugh when I'm sad or not in a good mood
Being with you been such an exciting time of my life
Now is all over

I miss you
I can't stop thinking about you
You probably going to feel the way when you don't see me anymore
You are an amazing person that I ever meet
Will things be the way it used to be or it won't?

I miss you when you're not here with me

For My Boys - Dedicated to Brendan & Christopher

My life changed the day,
You came into this world.
The life that I knew,
Became unfurled.

In held you so close.
I looked in your eyes.
The joy that I felt.
And the tears filled my eyes.

My finger you took.
You grasped with your hand.
For your life I would fight.
For your dreams I would stand.

I then took you home.
My sweet little boy.
You were God's special gift.
My bundle of joy.

Time it passed on.
You started to talk.
Then within a few weeks.
Your first steps you did walk.

The first day of school.
It was then I did know.
One day I would have to,
Let my special gift go.

You scored your first goal.
Mom and I were so proud.
We cheered for you son.
We praised you so loud.

Time it marched on,
You had your first date.
You were growing so fast.
Time does not wait.

Then you drove the car.
You drove it away.
I remembered the little ones.
In which you used to play.

Now off to college.
My boys now a man.
I can't help to remember.
The day it began.

Then you fell in love.
You walked down the aisle.
The future you'd have.
Made mom and me smile.

Your first child was born
Now you and your wife.
Had your special gift.
And your reason for life.

I remember the Christmas.
That we had that year.
New memories to cherish.
The old ones still dear.

But I just want to tell you.
The days that I miss.
Toys in the rec room.
That sweet good night kiss.

Prayers before bedtime.
Watching my angels sleep.
These are the moments.
In my heart I do keep.

A Star Speaks

In this universe so vast and wide
why do we humans run and hide
from the fact that there just might be
other beings different than we?
So many stars up in the skies
shining down like so many eyes
look right down and say to you
'There are others out there
that are in my view.'

Do not fear the multitudes of others
that just like you have sisters and brothers.
The day will arrive when all will say
if only you weren't so far away
you could teach us how to live with love
and how not to kill a soul.
We have never learned that here on earth
and still we play that role.

As a star that's shining in the night
I see all that's not in your sight.
I've watched and learned for eons of years
that the humans on earth cry too many tears.
And as I burn up and exist no more
my light still shines on each distant shore.
I wait for all to find each other
and revel in the differences in one another.

And when my light is gone and dies
I'll remember the song of children'; s eyes.
'Twinkle, twinkle little star
How I wonder what you are? '

I Gave My Love A Rose

an infinity of love
may stem from
a gift token given
a single red rose

I gave my love a rose
as I looked within her eyes
I asked a single kiss in
return the bliss of her lips

my love did reply
take as many kisses
as there are stars
in our dark veldt sky

I told her my true love
I loved her more than
the sun the moon all
the stars in the sky above

forgive me my infinity my love
my heart dwells in eternally given love
so happy receiving all your smiles
we speak star light intergalactic styles

wish upon star light star bright
wish you were here each night
the snows so beautiful in soft moon light
covers everything in a beautiful love light

Held Firmly

You were held very firmly
Tight embrace and greeted with very warmly
All divinity is transferred and emitted
Naughtiness and mistakes simply permitted

What does she find in you?
A true reflection and happiness in you
A future well predicted in her eyes
You stand speechless with no feeling of a shy

She has all the love and nothing to complain
She is worried when you become wet in rain
Care for everything even when you are not hungry
There is not a word spoken even when she is angry

When such type of mother is standing before
You have every reason to feel proud therefore
Not a single moment you would love to miss
As you are firmly in her grip with sweet kisses

What is warmth and what is joy?
Complete heaven on earth to enjoy
You think of mother and no other
There is no end even if you go further

I don’t what would be the anther world
Will there be any place to hide and seek in fold?
Where she will be waiting for me to rush?
Take in lap with enough but gentle crush

I remember her even in my late years
I always become restless with unknown fear
She is almost bed ridden and about to leave
I can’t close the eyes and believe

She held my hand and tried to whisper
I bent down and went near
“Take care and don’t shed tears”
“Carry on nicely and try to bear”

Such words still echo in mind
I try to forget but come again and remind
Where would I go again for her to find?
For such lovely soul and very kind
