A ship need not be sunk

A ship need not be sunk
To reach the shore

A life need not be spoiled
To become popular

Not to lay on road with tears
To garner the sympathy

Not to meet the tragic death
If love is failed

Not to blame nature
When we prove immature

This life is the crossing of a sea, where we meet in the same narrow ship. In death we reach the shore and go to our different worlds.

Left Bereft

I face the future fearfully
it’s time to say my last farewell.
The grey sky weeps in sympathy.
My joy in life is gone from me.
I lack the words with which to tell
I face the future fearfully.
Fell death chooses impartially
I hear the tolling funeral bell.
The grey sky weeps in sympathy.
My friends bow heads respectfully.
My bitter tears already fell
I face the future fearfully.
I am sunk deep in misery
an unexpected blow which fell.
The grey sky weeps in sympathy.
Life holds no value now for me,
without my love a lonely hell.
I face the future fearfully
The grey sky weeps in sympathy.

On That Very Day

That very day

I died on that very day
When I turned eyes and went away
I cared for no one and just walked
Where as on seminars I had lot more talked

He was lying on the road
May be he was pulling lots of load
It was hand pulled cart
It was his routine and part

It was blazing sun on top
The heat waves were non top
Yet he had raced against time
I presumed he wanted to reach early sometimes

Luck would not have played favorably
He failed to pull more and failed miserably
The road became his last bed
There was not even little shed

I wanted to cry but could not
As I had ceaselessly carried on and fought
But ultimately nothing desired was brought
All attempts had failed and nothing could be sought

I waited for a minute and gave little glimpse
Cursed his fate but prayed sacred verse
Why almighty not gave enough courage to reach an end?
Where else one can wait for to have an honest friend?

When I looked back and thought of same fate?
The mercy totally failed me or came very late
How many may be facing death unceremoniously?
Where life was uncertain and still moved on continuously

I failed to show little courtesy and moved on
The battle was to be waged and shown
I could help nothing even if wanted
As I myself was short of but could have waited

Did I prove coward for turning back?
Certainly yes as it was humanity at stake
How many of us may have preferred as I did
What else we could provide or offered lead?

Leave no one unattended even if you nothing
Some solace to self and to him for something
Some message of great human like quality
Taken along journey despite clear inability

At new low ebb

She took and sunk me to low ebb
I was entangled in monster’s web
I had no easy route to escape
I was unable to think or give shape

There may be many ups and down
People may show discourtesy and frown
You may be reduced to nothing and work as pawn
You may be crushed like grass in the lawn

She did not realize simple fact and made all hell
Everything was going ahead with plan and very well
We were leading simple life and good stories to tell
It proved nice all the time and did not face any trail

It was only for on ward march
No going back from the start
It was all for simple asking
Always rousing welcome and no kicking

As it always happen, there starts bad phase
You are down with fame and unable to show the face
You may not be able come out from house and counter
You need to face it bravely with the fear of lashes from hunter

There may be flow of bad words for your action
You may face criticism and solid reaction
No one may blame womenfolk but only man
Why was he not in position to stop or can?

She was string headed woman and couldn’t control tamper
She spoiled the relation with all her anger
It was unbecoming of good couple with good repute
How could I offer any counter or refute?

It was undoing of all my good work
I was feeling uneasy and unable to eat with pork
It was proving difficult to much to my discomfort
My ship was at mid sea waiting call at ports

It is not good for us to survive
Hostility may end but peace can’t be revived
You may live but without any sweetness or aim
How can we stand against odd and claim?

If you can salvage your ship amidst crisis
It will prove your point without any thesis
You may come to be known as strong contender
As it is not the worth job for the pretender

You got to rise from the ashes
You may have strong wishes
Not all may reach to the shore as fishes
You must come out victorious with fine finish

Lie low but not too low
Bow to Him but not to allow
Think of disaster but not of going down
Seeds may definitely grow if they are sown

Sonnet: Such Blaming is Futile

Why blame poor Death when it does its duty?
Why blame the land for becoming desert?
Why blame Nature for unleashing fury?
Why blame dame Luck for being so inert?

Why blame the Sun for scorching summer’s heat?
Why blame the winter for its freezing cold?
Why blame the Wind for turning land less neat?
Why blame women for asking diamonds, gold?

Why blame the Sky for not bringing the Rain?
Why blame the Air for becoming so foul?
Why blame the nerves for sensation of pain?
Why blame the devils for your sinful soul?

Why blame the Stars for good or bad life brings?
Why blame your God for bad turn of some things?

Chidioch Tichborne (1558-1586)

On September the nineteenth 1586 in London Tower
When the bloom of his young life was decaying like a flower
Dying in the cool winds of the early Fall
In words his tragic life he did recall.

Chidioch Tichborne to something beautiful to gave life
In his farewell elegy to Agnes his wife
An elegy still read and popular today
True greatness can be slow for to meet decay.

Accused as being in a failed plot to murder Elizabeth England's Queen
His best days as a poet he had not seen
Hung drawn and quartered a brutal way to die
Such a death to justice surely gives the lie.

Executed in his twenty eight year even in those times that was young
But he did not remain as one unsung
His gift of life may have been snatched from him in his prime
But his life story and his elegy have withstood the test of time.

No mercy 4 da heartbreaker

So fast, so soon is how I’ve fallen.
Fallen in love with you.
And yet I doubt you’ll believe that.
Not after the heartbreak I caused.
What is there to say?
We’ve said it all
And after all is said and alone.
The blame it always be on me
Your friends, my friends, u and I
We all blame me
So fast, so soon is how my happiness has disappeared
But then who will believe me?
Who will believe the tears?
I guess no sympathy for me
After all who has sympathy for a heartbreaker
Even when she is heartbroken herself.
No matter what.

Crystal Heart

My heart is in your hands,
Paper thin crystal ready to break,
My love when will you awake?
My mind drifts to foreign lands,
Tears burst, washing away the desert sand,

Memories lost and found,
Tears wash away the ground,
Your voice, the only sound,
My heart breaks all around,

Life's dream lost but new life found,
This ship will never run aground,
Lights twinkle on a far shore,
Promises of a life to adore,
Please love, don't shut the door,

Memories lost and found,
Tears wash away the ground,
Your voice, the only sound,
My heart breaks all around,

So when you can hurt no more,
Remember to give me a call,
You know I will remember you evermore,
When I reach the shore it is life I shall adore,
Our memories I will treasure,
Let life be a pleasure.

You are my opium

Is it a mystery to love you so,
Is it a myth that i cant forget you,
Is it a joke that i cry at times,
Is it a spell that im addicted
I search answers but reach none,
I search thought and reach some,
Its true, you are my opium

Did i forget to say bye,
Did i just shed a tear,
Did i just walk away,
Manhood and bravity,
Just to prove im a gentleman
Kiss me again and again
Just to prove you are my opium

I tell you i love you,
Just to prove im a gentleman,
You tell me i can go far,
Just to prove you are my opium
I tell you im sorry,
But you tell me otherwise
Just to prove you are my opium

Where are the stars,
Where is my old life,
You made me new,
You shuffled my life,
Just to prove you are my opium

May The Road Rise To Meet You

May the road rise to meet you
and bring happiness your way.
May love always surround you
keeping you warm with each day.
May troubles always avoid you
as you travel on your way.

May the road rise to meet you
with first summer rays.
May your world always be
the focus of the one that loves thee.
May your heart be shared with kindness
and love from everyone.

May the road rise to meet you
as each season comes to call.
May your life never feel discord
within anything you want to do.
May the road rise to meet you
your whole life through.

Mother Nature She Rules

For her actions Mother Nature is above any blame
Since she always treats life and death as the same
The dead of the World in her bosom lay
And she goes on living and night follows day.

Mother Nature she dons her green cloak of the Spring
And in her leafy woods nesting birds chirp and sing
The life that she gives one day she will receive
And for her dead children she never does grieve.

For to sustain us on Nature we must depend
Yet Nature is one who does not need a friend
She will live without us when the life from us gone
Forever and ever she keeps keeping on.

Her Seasons they come and her Seasons they go
And her streams and her rivers to her oceans flow
And from the Earth's most northern to the most southern shore
Mother Nature she rules and will forever more.

Sweet By And By

There's a land that is fairer than day
And by faith we can see it afar
And the father waits over the way
To prepare us a dwelling place there.
In the sweet by and by
We shall meet on that beautiful shore
In the sweet by and by
We shall meet on that beautiful shore.
--- Instrumental ---
To our bountiful father above
We will offer our tribute of praise
For the glorious gift of his love
And the blessings that hallow our days.
In the sweet by and by
We shall meet on that beautiful shore
In the sweet by and by
We shall meet on that beautiful shore.
--- Instrumental ---
In the sweet by and by
We shall meet on that beautiful shore
In the sweet by and by
We shall meet on that beautiful shore.
We shall meet on that beautiful shore...

Perhaps It Is This Lack Of Discipline

Perhaps there was a sense of responsibility,
Others and myself had perceived as a duty...
When we enisted into the military.
As young men with initiative.
And wanting to prove we had accountability.

Perhaps too it was the knowing,
At the age most of us were 21...
Some of us had married and experienced,
Living away from a known comfort zone...
To begin living lives in other environments,
With a making of a home and on our own.

And perhaps that has been,
The reason for my impatience...
With those who today complain,
About decsions they've made to lay on others blame.
Without having the courage to adventure forward,
To adjust to something new and embrace the change.

And perhaps it is this lack of discipline,
Welcomed by immature grown men and women...
Who believe they are owed entitlements,
Given without earning them...
With demands and claims,
That so many today are clearly insane...
And spoiled by their prioritized delusions.

Jesus, We Look To Thee

Jesus, we look to Thee,
Thy promised presence claim;
Thou in the midst of us shall be,
Assembled in Thy Name.

Thy Name salvation is,
Which here we come to prove;
Thy Name is life, and health, and peace,
And everlasting love.

Not in the name of pride
Or selfishness we meet;
From nature’s paths we turn aside,
And worldly thoughts forget.

We meet, the grace to take
Which Thou hast freely giv’n;
We meet on earth for Thy dear sake
That we may meet in Heav’n.

Present we know Thou art;
But, O, Thyself reveal!
Now, Lord, let ev’ry waiting heart
The mighty comfort feel.

O may Thy quickening voice
The death of sin remove;
And bid our inmost souls rejoice,
In hope of perfect love.

Song: Popular Culture

Oh I'm sick to death of spin,
And this banal, self-serving sin,
That justifies usurpation like a king.
When shove will come to push,
Weilding power without blush,
This vigilante State is so right-wing!

Pop, pop, popular history,
Grows a crop of myth and mystery,
Where legends reap the cynical flattery,
That maintains the lie:
Of who we are,
What we've become,
In whose name,
Was violence done;
Of why we're here,
And how we came.
Who's excused,
And who's to blame.
Of where we're going,
And where we're from;
And what we're doing,
To right the wrongs...

Pop, pop, popular culture.
Does it diminish or exalt ya?
Pop, pop, popular culture.
Is it Art or just sheer torture?

Pop, pop, popular culture;
Soporific by it's nature,
From mediocre to bad.
Pop, pop, popular culture,
Confers on all a bland inertia,
Embracing every fad:
Of how we look,
The way we feel;
What is image,
And what is real.
Of what to eat,
And what to wear;
How best to cheat,
Or how to care.
The puzzle of love,
The seizures of hate;
How best to survive,
The quirks of cruel fate.
The rule of the stars,
Or the lives of the great;
Hints from the famous,
To grow and create...

Pop, pop, popular culture.
What you love, and what insults ya.
Pop, pop, popular culture.
What you hate, and what co-opts ya.

Oh I'm bored to bits by cant.
And all that ritualised behaviour,
The patriotic fervour,
That is the flavour of the year.
To my cups I'll so decant,
For from high the view is clear:
The world below is idiot,
The age of farce is here!

Pop, pop, popular culture.
Selling slops of dizzy rapture.
Pop, pop, popular culture.
Nurtures minds to easy capture:
What could be wrong,
What could be right,
When a little change,
Inspires a fight,
For what we think,
Or how we live,
Should we repent,
More than we give?
Can our actions
Be so believed,
When some are censured,
And some reprieved..?

Pop, pop, popular history,
Scuttles verity in a lonely estuary,
And sinks the well of common fallacy:
That heroes never die!
Pop, pop, popular history,
Expels reality to forbidden territory,
And absurdly plays tragedy,
As a slick slapstick comedy,
To entertain the lie:
Of who we are,
What we've become,
In whose name,
Was violence done;
Of why we're here,
And how we came.
Who's excused,
And who's to blame.
Of where we're going,
And where we're from;
And what we're doing,
To right the wrongs...

Pop, pop, popular culture,
Pulls out all stops to pimp and pander.
Pop, pop, popular culture,
Dead of meaning, truth or candour.
Pop, pop, popular culture,
Where vultures feed on lies and slander.
Pop, pop, popular culture,
The carrion flesh that's propaganda!

Popular..

Many teenagers think
That being popular should be with the way you dress
The way you walk
The way you attract the boys
And the way you make the noise
Many teenagers think
That being popular is by the way you treat the others with full disrepute
Or by being very thin and cute
Many teenagers think
That being popular is all about the way you talk about the others
Or if you’re wearing a silky top or shoes made out of leather
Many teenagers think
That being popular is by despising the quiet ones and making fun of the weird
And also to show that they can never be scared or feared
Many teenagers think
That being popular is by showing of your new jeans and vest
And many teenagers think
That being popular is a way to prove that you are the finest and best.

War Is

War is an act of nature
Like causing death will make you strong
War can be so immature
Happening when an accident goes wrong

War is so useless
Nothing follows in its tracks
War is a remembrance
The battles all placed on a map

War is full of tears
Tears that will cry
War is like a warning so insacure
One mistake you’ll surely die

War is a resolution
To the people who have shaped iron cllad fists
War is a part of everything cruel
Cruel is what war is

Tessa's Song

I'm sorry I failed
I'm sorry I fell
Straight from grace
I'm sorry I failed
I'm sorry I lied
Straight to your face

The world you know
Keeps getting bigger
And badder
And all that's true
And all that's good
Doesn't seem to matter

What's good and what's bad
What's right and what's wrong
Is getting harder to comprehend
And just when you think
You've figured it out
The rules are changed again

I'm sorry I failed
I'm sorry you see
All that I lack
I'm sorry I failed
And if I could
I would take it all back

It's hard to believe
This war has gone on
Since before you were born
And I worry
That it will still be raging
When you are grown

The things you see
The drugs and the sex
And you're still so young
I lie awake at night
Hoping I've shown you
Which road is the right one

I'm sorry I failed
I pray that you know
I'm doing the best I can
I'm sorry I failed
I know you will become
So much more than I am

So much time that I've wasted
So many tears that I've tasted
Knowing I'm not the best
But my love for you remains
Untouched by anything
Wondering why I've been so blessed

The Second Journey

Each generation knows the pain,
As loved ones leave us with the strain
Of mourning when another dies
And hot tears flow from teary eyes...
But life's a journey meant for love,
Before we fly to God above
And all the good works that we do
Are merely saying, 'I love you! '

We copy those who've gone before,
So that love lives from shore-to-shore,
Throughout the centuries we've known,
This precious faithful love is shown...
Father-to-son and passed on down
The Christian faith that bears the crown,
That foretaste granted here on Earth
To those who know the Saviour's worth...

Death merely parts us for a while,
Despite its sting, despite its guile,
Eternal life, God's gift to Man,
Extends beyond this mortal span...
That's why there's hope as tears subside,
We look to Christ, arms open wide...
For God the Father, God the Son
Will reunite us one-by-one!

And when we meet, for meet we will,
No longer old, no longer ill,
No longer pining day-by-day...
As Jesus bids us all to stay...
We'll bid farewell to all our tears,
To all our foolish doubts and fears,
As Jesus welcomes us, we'll sing
Our sweet Hosannas to our King!

Time's Defeat

Time has made conquest of so many things
That once were mine. Swift-footed, eager youth
That ran to meet the years; bold brigand health,
That broke all laws of reason unafraid,
And laughed at talk of punishment. Close ties

Of blood and friendship, and that joy of life,
Which reads its music in the major key
And will not listen to a minor strain-
These things and many more are spoils of time.

Yet as a conqueror who only storms
The outposts of a town, and finds the fort
Too strong to be assailed, so time retreats
And knows his impotence. He cannot take
My three great jewels from the crown of life;
Love, sympathy, and faith; and year on year
He sees them grow in lustre and in worth,
And glowers by me, plucking at his beard,
And dragging as he goes, a useless scythe.
Once in the dark he plotted with his friend
Grim death, to steal my treasures. Death replied:
'They are immortal, and beyond thy reach:
I could but set them in another sphere,
To shine with greater lustre.'

Time and Death
Passed on together, knowing their defeat;
And I am singing by the road of life.
