Guernica
Guernica is in fact made of stone backwards.
Watch me at war really up
You wanna hurt me stop the row
We both are stitched up now
Were hard with fear hard speak up
You wanna hurt me stop the row
We both are stitched up now
Were whores sit down
Were whores thats us
He wanted us he swore and all weve got
You wanna hurt me stop the row
We both are stitched up now
Were hard with fear hard speak up
You wanna hurt me stop the row
We both are stitched up now
Were whores sit down
Were whores thats us
Simple lives yeah we dont have
We pack up in truth it seems this
Peacemakers has arms that hold fear
See gargoyles can you see the wonder?
Yes I fear the carbine
What does never wrong mean?
Thats right
Every one of us he swore so hurry up
You wanna hurt me stop the row
We both are stitched up now
Were hard with fear hard speak up
You wanna hurt me stop the row
Both of us are stitched up now
Were whores sit down
Were whores
That must mean sinful eyes that maim of fear
Its the look that stings I fear boy
Being distrusting I trust no one
Theyve been back down for nothing
It was never shared its ours
We will know those names who follow

Dont Say Its Too Late
It doesnt take much to learn
When the bridges that you burn
Leave you stranded feeling alone
It doesnt take much to cry
When youre living in a lie
And deceiving that someone who cares
If I could turn back the time
I would put you first in my life
And I would risk it all for you
To prove my love is true
Ill build a wall around my heart
That would only break a part for you
Can change the way I feel
So tell me whats the deal
Dont say
Dont say its too late
And now
The hills are getting hard to climb
Im runnin out of time
My decisions are pending on you
And I will accept the blame
For burnin out the flame
Hoping the story will twist once again
If I could turn back the time
I would put you first in my life
And I would risk it all for you
To prove my love is true
Ill build a wall around my heart
That would only break a part for you
Can change the way I feel
So tell me whats the deal
Dont say
Dont say its too late
Now im
Layin it all on the line
For you
And I would risk it all for you
To prove my love is true
Ill build a wall around my heart
That would only break a part for you
Can change the way I feel
So tell me whats the deal
Dont say
Dont say its too late

Sold Me Out
I always knew that theyd get me somehow sooner or later,
But with a bullet in the head, a knife in the back,
Not a pocket calculator.
Sorry mister, youre all wiped up,
Youre all washed up,
Sold you out.
Got no dreams, got no ambition,
Cant decide, cause theres no decision,
Got no claim to any position,
Cant compete with the competition.
Youre always complaining,
Its so depressing,
But if youre old enough,
Start to confess it.
You say, you sold me out,
To get a better deal for yourself,
You sold me out,
And now we want some of your precious wealth,
Because you sold me out.
Sold me out,
Sold me out,
Sold me out.
You sold me out,
To get a better deal for yourself.
You sold me out,
And now its every man for himself.
Work all your life, put the money in the bank,
Sign on the dotted line.
Try to draw it out, the jokes on you,
Put up the empty sign.
Sorry mister, were all sold out.
Sold me out,
Sold me out,
Sold me out,
Sold me out.
You, Im talkin to you.
You sold me out,
To get a better deal for yourself.
You sold me out,
And now we want some of your precious wealth.
And sell you out,
Like you sold me out.
Are you in so deep, that you cant get out?
Got no dreams, got no ambition,
Cant decide, cause theres no decision,
Got no claim to any position,
Cant compete with the competition.
Sold me out,
Sold me out,
Sold me out,
Sold me out.

teenager seen from Above
The teenager around the house,
confronted with the suggestion that
God smiles on him, would be
rabbit-stunned beyond reaction;
but, inspect him thoroughly from toe
to top (leaving aside his as yet
creditable carbon footprint; cash-strapped
is carbon-friendly) :
the trainers, sweat-made in the Third World,
now look as if they’re back there; they’ve been known
to walk out of the room from under the bed
in sheer self-disgust;
the forever jeans, customised with
a designer rip just above the knee,
are of that subtle shade
where worn meets dirty;
the ‘top’ – at least there’s some hint there
of choice; sending out coded messages
which groan-ups cannot read; could be
footie with the boys; or could even be
let’s sleep together, no big deal..
we’ll just have to wait and see, or guess;
the face, now: that gets little attention
first thing in the morning; but in the evening
it’s a different ball-game; Mum’s facial things
have even been known to be employed
when rumblings of an imminent socio-visual
eruption threaten;
but, the hair… thirty, twenty years ago
if someone his age took this long at the mirror,
we’d either be considering counselling,
or buying him Judy Garland records…
eventually, he’s out from there; the immaculately
tousled gleaming wildness is a sennight’s
tribute to the week’s Top Ten…
angels, passing over, smile to themselves
at the view from above; murmur at
what a well-groomed lot the
humans are these days.
Maybe it’s time to haul out
Great-Granma’s hand-stitched
sampler from the loft, and put it back
in the downstairs loo, where
we used to think it such a joke
in our first-house years –
‘God Sees All'...

You Got The Deal
I lived my life one way too long.
Deal me straight, I can't go wrong.
A gambler's fate's in the cards he takes,
And now I know it's just a mistake.
Don't know the game,
But you got the deal.
Don't know the game,
But you got the deal.
You got the . . .
Left our dreams on a lonely road.
Come back here with a heavy load.
Fight our best when the chips are down.
You go your way, and I'll win this round.
Don't know the game,
But you got the deal.
Don't know the game,
But you got the deal.
LEAD BREAK
You live your life for the dollar sign.
And all that you've made,
You're just buying time.
But time takes it toll,
It don't care who you are
You know you're marked for life
With your empty heart.
Don't know the game,
But you got the deal.
Don't know the game,
But you got the deal.
I don't know the game,
But you got the deal.
Don't know the game,
But you got the deal.

Hey Love
[chorus]
Hey love can I get a rain check
Just 25 I'm not ready yet
Hey love let's make a deal
Give me some time I got a few hearts to steal
Hey love got more grounds to gain
Can't get stuck with a ball and a chain
Hey love I need to be sure
Come back and see me in two years or more
[verse]
I remember as a kid I used to dream
I had a big crush on Sandra's kid sister jean
But she was in love with dwayne
Been so many years but I still feel the pain
What about the girl across the street
Took the same bus I use to reserve her seat
But she would just sit with her friends
And the all talk about guys in bimmers and Benz
Seem like my luck took a slide
Then shorty came along and stood by my side
I couldn't give her much but she stayed
Now I'm hitting all the charts its so easy getting laid
Living in style I'm getting paid
Hooking up my peeps with the millions I've made
Now I'm having girl who I knew in first grade
Now I'm kinda feeling like my shorty getting played
So I'm begging you
[chorus]
Hey love can I get a rain check
Just 25 I'm not ready yet
Hey love let's make a deal
Give me some time I got a few hearts to steal
Hey love got more grounds to gain
Can't get stuck with a ball and a chain
Hey love I need to be sure
Come back and see me in two years or more
[verse]
I wasn't popular in school I wasn't popular in sports
All the girls I love loved the guys on the court
I feel like I been cheated of my youth
Cause back in the days braces weren't so cute
Girls used to laugh at my suit
Now I got models in bed knocking boots
[chorus]
[Repeat 1st verse]

Union City Blue
What are we gonna do?
Union Union Union City blue
Tunnel to the other side
It becomes daylight
I say he's mine
Oh power, passion plays a double hand
Union union union city man
Arrive climb up four flights to the orange side
Rearrange my mind
In turquoise Union Union Union City blue
Skyline passion Union City blue
Power, passion plays a double hand
Union union union city man
I say he's mine
I have a plan
I say he's my Union City man
What are we gonna do?

Deal
Since it costs a lot to win, and even more to lose,
You and me bound to spend some time wondrin what to choose.
Goes to show, you dont ever know,
Watch each card you play and play it slow,
Wait until that deal come round,
Dont you let that deal go down, no, no.
I been gamblin hereabouts for ten good solid years,
If I told you all that went down it would burn off both of your ears.
Goes to show you dont ever know
Watch each card you play and play it slow,
Wait until that deal come round,
Dont you let that deal go down, no, no.
Since you poured the wine for me and tightened up my shoes,
I hate to leave you sittin there, composin lonesome blues.
Goes to show you dont ever know
Watch each card you play and play it slow,
Wait until that deal come round, dont you let that deal go down.
Wait until that deal come round, dont you let that deal go down,
Wait until that deal come round, dont you let that deal go down,
Dont you let that deal go down, dont you let that deal go down.

Can You Deal With It?
(words and music: duran duran)
There must be somebody
Wholl make love to me.
Blow the rules away
And trash these yesterdays.
Live in simpathy
Use psychology.
To find the twist in me (ah-ha)
Can you deal with it?
Recent enquiry
Showed now boundry.
Loves the only way
Can you handle it?
Can you deal with it? (oowa)
Can you deal with it?
Can you deal with it? (oowa)
Can you deal with it?
Can you deal with it?
When you aint sorry? (can you deal with it? )
For all that you appologise (can you deal with it? )
Working up to something,
I know youre up to something...
Yeahhhh...
Can you deal with it? (somethings got to happen)
Can you deal with it? (somethings got to get me up)
Say you deal with it? (but nothing never happens)
Can you deal with it? (cos nothings ever good enough)
Say you deal with it?
Can you deal with it? (somethings got to happen)
Can you deal with it? (somethings got to get me up)
Say you deal with it? (but nothings gonna happen)
Can you deal with it? (cos nothings ever good enough)
Say you deal with it?

I saw no Way—The Heavens were stitched—
I felt the Columns close—

Went out upon Circumference—

Well, the infrastructure part of the stimulus has worked. There's absolutely no question about it. We can demonstrate in Pennsylvania and other states around the union how it's produced good, paying jobs both on the construction sites and back in American factories. It has worked.

Cut Price Bloody Flights
I fancied going on holiday,
So I searched the Internet,
I tried out various airlines,
Just to see what I could get.
As I'm on a real tight budget,
The price had to be the best,
Nothing fancy, there and back,
Costing less than all the rest.
I then came across a company,
Their seats were really cheap,
A no frills airline that would do,
My debts wouldn't go too deep.
When I searched their website,
I was amazed at what I found,
A flight to where I want to go,
For just a single pound.
I then went on to pay the bill,
So I used my credit card,
What they charged me for using it,
Has left me feeling scarred.
Then before the bill was finalised,
When I thought I could relax,
They told me I then had to pay,
Something called airport tax.
But now on to the airport,
As I checked my baggage in,
They said it should be done on-line,
Otherwise you cannot win.
I paid another surcharge,
By this time I was running late,
Another charge for that said she,
I thought this is bloody great.
As you didn't print your tickets off,
I'm afraid that's even more,
This is sheer and utter madness,
But our terms you can't ignore.
She said your bags are far too heavy,
that will cost you more again,
I was running out of money,
This was driving me insane.
Eventually when I boarded,
They left me so surprised,
They made me pay for an extra seat,
Saying I was oversized.
I thought that I had seen it all,
Then I asked them for a meal,
Thirty pounds for micro chips,
Is not the greatest deal.
I also bought a drink of juice,
My micro chips to soak,
The price they charged me for it,
Would have made an elephant choke.
Then I visited the toilet,
This caused even more ado,
They even charge an entry fee,
To use the bloody loo.
Eventually when we landed,
I asked where we were at,
She said in Spain I don't know where,
But at least the ground is flat.
I eventually got a taxi,
The driver was full of smiles,
I found out why when I got the bill,
We had travelled two hundred miles.
If you want to travel cheap,
Make sure you read their rules,
Or the consequences you will reap,
They use complicated tools.
Now as I sit here bankrupt,
I wish had studied my rights,
I'm living proof there's no such thing as,
'' Cut Price Bloody Flights ''
