Ali.
Growing up into the'deep south'way,
Black and White, no grey.! !
‘Know your place'every day,
No change, things just stay.!
Across his path, came the noble art,
Latent passion and talent inside.
The strength of mind and heart,
Convention could and would be defied.
The champion he would fight,
Against all the odds.
He won against Liston that night,
Was his fate in the'Lap of the Gods'?
Islam growing in his mind,
A ‘change'of name.
His future is signed,
He felt no shame.
From that day,
The name 'Clay' was history,
No longer 'Clay'.!
Only 'Mohammed Ali.'!
Ridiculed and demonized,
Endless pressure and torment..
Undermined and patronised,
His pride and resolve, they could not dent.
66'year of the draft, Ali protests about,
Uncle Sam made his stand.
Ali was outside the‘age drought'!
Their plan didn't go as planned.
Ali, they had much underrated,
A blow they would deal.
His conviction cannot be over-stated,
Place in history, he would seal.
A reporter asked him, ' What did he think of the‘Viet Cong',
Ali replied, 'No‘Viet Cong', ever called me a‘Nigger.' '
He remained resolute and strong,
The story just got bigger.!
His title, they would threaten to remove,
His reputation was at stake.
Action they would prove,
However his defiance and dignity would not break.
Government against him all the way,
Pressure still growing.
But he kept them at bay,
No giving in, no bowing.
He was still the champ,
Speaking his mind.
Authorities unable to clamp,
A reason they'd have to find.!
They would have their day,
Try every bloody trick.
They would win, wouldn't they, ?
To their‘plan'they'd stick.
Illegal, unjust and immoral,
What they did was wrong.
Their‘last resort'totally indefensible.
Ali's fight would go on.
His refusal of the draft,
Fine and imprisonment.
Restriction of his craft,
Got their'way'message they sent.
So eventually they would de throne,
Three years not in the ring.
Public support had grown,
Exoneration, time would bring.
Over three years without his art,
Was a long, long time.
Outside, not being a part,
What would have been his‘prime'?
Finally vindicated,
Won his Supreme Court appeal,
Once again liberated,
Three and half years they did 'steal'.
Principles he'd stick to,
He took all the flack.
His resolve got him through,
He wanted his title back.
71' sentence was overturned,
Ali had eventually won.
Three and half years they had ‘burned'.
But justice was done.
His comeback, the Frazier bout,
Rusty, three years‘out'to blame.
However no doubt,
Ali would reaffirm his name.
So Frazier out, Forman in,
For the next 'rumble'.
Ali's belief within,
Next up was 'Rumble in the jungle.'
Underdog, it must be said,
Money men behind the scene.
Point to prove in his head,
Mr.King only sees green.!
The World was looking on,
Time to deliver, to do.
Was this to be his ‘swan song'?
Would the crowd and his faith get him through?
Yes, Ali, Zaire on his side,
The press he would call.
For his ‘cause', he never did hide,
His confidence would not stall.
The fight commences, sweltering heat,
Pugilists toe to toe.
Win or face defeat,
Fascinating duel, blow by blow.
'Is that all you got? 'Is that it'? Ali would say,
He would taunt through similar sounds.
Keeping his‘enemy'at bay,
Using ‘dope ‘a' rope' though the rounds.
His foes energy getting sapped,
Frazier's will also giving now.
Ali seems relatively‘intact',
Absorbing the blows some how.
Victory for the greatest,
Third time, a champion.
He beat every trial and test,
His legacy continues on.
So what did he leave behind?
Although not yet‘gone'!
Something in the mind,
Something so strong,
Of principles, making a stand.
Freedom of choice,
Nothing grand,
Expressing opinion, via voice.
Fight for what you feel is right,
Is what he tried to say.
Never ever give up the fight.
His life would portray.
What a courageous man, yes had his flaws,
Yes brash, bold, outspoken.
Faults yet again, who hasn't behind closed doors, ! !
Ultimately his spirit was never broken.
One of the greatest sportsmen,
Bar none to ever live.
Everything he had given,
Everything he did give.
He took on the establishment,
Questioned authority.
A message he really sent,
To all of us really.

Change - Taylor Swift
vs.1 And it's a sad picture, the final blow that hits you;
Somebody else gets what you wanted again.
You know it's all the same, another time and place,
Repeating history and you're getting sick of it.
But I believe in whatever you do,
And I'll do anything to see it through.
(chorus)
Because these things will change.
Can you feel it now?
These walls that they put up to hold us back will fall down.
This revolution, the time will come,
For us to finally win.
We sing hallelujah, we sing hallelujah.
vs.2 So we've been outnumbered,
Raided and now cornered.
It's hard to fight when the fight ain't fair.
We're getting stronger now,
Find the things they never found.
They might be bigger,
But we're faster and never scared.
You can walk away, say we don't need this,
But there's something in your eyes;
Says we can beat this.
(chorus)
vs.3 Tonight we'll stand, get off our knees,
Fight for what we've worked for all these years,
And the battle was long, it's the fight of our lives,
But we'll stand up champions tonight.
(chorus)
It was the night things changed;
Do you see it now?
These walls that they put up to hold us back fell down.
It's a revolution, throw your hands up,
Cause we never gave in,
And we'll sing hallelujah, we sang hallelujah.

Fight Against The Tide
When the doubts you have begin to show
When the winds of change begin to blow your dream away
As the winter cold can touch the bone
And like a crowd, voices in your mind
But as the thunder dies, youre standing on your own
Even in your darkest night
When the shadows hide the guiding light that leads the way alone
And heaven seems to turn its head
Sometimes, to break away the ties
You have to find the strength to carry on
Fight against the tide
To cut the hardest stone
Fight against the tide
The blood begins to flow
Hold on, through the storm could take your life
Be strong and you will survive
You wont give in
Even though the walls around you fall
No dont give in
Still the flames alive
till the end of time
And so you fight against the tide
When the doubts you have begin to show
When the winds of change begin to blow your dream away
When the fire has left your soul
Look straight ahead
In the face of fear
Take on the world and all it has to give
Fight against the tide
To cut the hardest stone
Fight against the tide
The blood begins to flow
Hold on, through the storm could take your life
Be strong and you will survive

My Best Friend Danny
I met him in nineteen fifty-six
he was my best friend
him and I, was always in a fix
of our fights, we always did mend.
There was the time
we painted the fence
wanted to do the job, real fine
used a whole gallon of paint
it didn't make sense
my brother dave asked,
'What happened to all the paint'?
when we told him, 'We used it all, '
he laughed, I thought, he was going to faint,
thru the years, with that story,
we have really had a ball
Then there was the time
we tried to chop down the tree
my brother got mad, but the three was mine
oh, we were so care-free
I never forget the racoon,
that followed us home,
he seemed to like our radio
that was playing a tune
the racoon, seemed so a lone
I never forgot the indian head
pennies, he sold me,
he stole them, of crime he led,
he had taken them from his dad
I should have known, he sold them so cheap
to get them back, his father was glad
He always did something
to me that was real mean
to make up, a present he would bring
of our friendship, he would lean
He taught me how to smoke
this you say, you call a friend.
when I could have had a stroke,
but he always had money to lend
When I didn't have any friends at all,
Danny was always, by my side
and it sure made me feel tall
if any one picked on me, he would
beat their hide
Every one called him and I a clown,
each one laughed so hard
that it, really brought them down,
at poker, he could really hide a card
Every morning before school
we played poker, he cheated a lot
and with him, I wanted to fight a duel
but he told me 'I cheat not.'
Of the down town loop, we did ride
in nine-teen fifty-nine
our car through the streets, would glide
trying to find girls
that would be his or mine
In nine-teen sixty, my dog shep died,
it was very depressing and sad
him and I, all day we cried
it made me unhappy and a little mad
In nine-teen sixty-two
he joined the army
I tried to join, but didn't make it
those days were very stormy
after what he went through,
I didn't mind a bit
In nine-teen sixty-seven
the army let him go,
at home at last, I thought I was
in heaven
but I soon found out, it wasn't so
The army had changed him, in many ways
Danny was not the same anymore
as I looked back, at those good old days
when I always heard him, knock on the door
All he wanted to do now, is go drink
he could'nt sit still very long
and he was really starting to sink
he had seen action, against the Viet Cong
Next to him one night
a man's throat was slashed, a man who was kind
it wasn't good, or right
and what it must have done, to Danny's mind
Over the years, I saw him, until eighty-one
hav'nt seen him since
remember well, good times and all the fun
Danny where ever you are,
you are still my best friend
does that make sense.
Hold Onto Your Dream
You always felt you had a destiny (yeah)
You wouldnt bow down to the gods
Of money and power, baby
You burned bright to shed your light all over the world
You had a plan and it was just a matter of time now
Here today, what happened to that dream
Dont tell me its over
I still smell the fire
Stand up and hold on to your dream
Maybe this is your moment
Stand up and hold on to your dream
You know no one can take it
There is a path its always been yours
And you have the right of passage
Signed in blood and sealed in tears
Sending you a message
Across the miles and thru the years
Stand up (and be there) and hold on to your dream
With some faith and conviction (some faith and conviction)
Take a good look, you dont like what you see, (no)
You just dont come this far and never get scarred, baby
It all seemed like fate
The big dreams werent hard to make way back then
Something pure about that suffer for art, passion and pain
Standing here
What happened to those dreams
Dont tell me theyre over
While your heart is still beating
Stand up and hold on to your dream
Maybe this is your moment
Stand up and hold on to your dream
You know no one can take it
There is a path its always been yours
And you have the right of passage
Signed in blood and sealed in tears

In His Corner
The Cut man and the manager
had seen this scene before.
Smoking Joe was staggering.
He looked destined for the floor.
His left eye badly swollen
from where a cut had bled.
For Fourteen Rounds
He'd matched his foe,
the greatest, many said.
Now it seemed he's have to yield
to this implacable foe.
Eddie reached and grabbed the towel
he was prepared to throw
Frazier glared with his good eye
to tell his corner ' NO'!
The minutes seemed forever.
He gave his all, they said
The fifteenth round has ended
and smoking Joe is dead.
In their last fight in Manila in 1975, Frazier and Ali traded punches with a fervor that seemed unimaginable among heavyweights. Frazier gave almost as good as he got for 14 rounds, then had to be held back by trainer Eddie Futch as he tried to go out for the final round, unable to see.
This is my tribute to Joe Frazier. In my scenario he goes out for that fifteen round against his opponent, Death

The System Remains
Secrets deception
Answers to give their own strength
As I look into your eyes questions need
Your silence and compromise
In my mind your voice towards me is wasted time
In your life there's frustration
And we fight for your say
It's your time for creation
As your time fades away
Is there a right and is there a reason
Do they lie and blind our own eyes
We strive for life a fight in the system
Only to find they supply our destiny
Twisted Ignorance
To those he lies for his own gain
Will you side away or be blinded to mine
Do we still fight trying to seek life in a better light
In our day
Here in our life is there a chance for this place in time
So we know
Threats trades negative power in rage
In a system that still remains
Knowing what could be
As we ask alone
Will we see as one
Do we still fight trying to seek life in a better light
Here in our life is there a chance for this place in time
Is there a reason for all the wrong
We need a change in vision
Needed for us to grow
Why I was chosen you are to blame
My mission here in power is my domain
You look for the answers seeking the chance
Are questions worth giving the system remains

Manchurian King
He was the likely candidate
To be the tiger king,
The one that Nature would create,
From him new life to bring...
The one with fire in his eyes
And courage in his heart,
So that his foes would realise
That he would play his part.
There was no turning back for those
Who had to fight not fail,
Against another, way up close
To stay the Alpha Male...
The road ahead was paved with fears
That he alone must face,
Yet with defiance through these years,
These dangers to embrace.
There was no glory in defeat,
No pride beneath the stars,
No joy when some great beast can beat
And leave you scratched with scars...
For him, the years would not be kind,
Old age would sap his strength...
The tiger king would one day find
His resting place at length...
For now, defeat was far away...
In youth, he looked sublime...
His destiny he must obey,
Triumphant for a time...

Give up the fight
Do you know what's worth fighting for?
When it's not worth dying for?
Does it take your breath away and you feel
yourself suffocating?
Does the pain weigh out the pride?
And you look for a place to hide?
Did someone break your heart
inside, you're in ruins
One,21 Guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One,21 Guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
You and I...
When you're at the end of the road
And you lost all sense of control
And your thoughts have taken their toll
When your mind breaks the spirit of your
soul
Your faith walks on broken glass and the
hangover doesn't pass
Nothing's ever built to last, you're in ruins
One,21 Guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One,21 Guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
You and I...
Did you try to live on your own?
When you burned down the house and
home?
Did you stand too close to the fire?
Like a liar looking for forgiveness from a
stone
When it's time to live and let die
And you can't get another try
Something inside this heart has died, you're
in ruins
One,21 Guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One,21 Guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
One,21 Guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One,21 Guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
You and I

Husbands Faith
out in the cold again, her cold heart will not bend.
i give her all the love that i could possibly give
just to see if her feelings live.
but, she will continue to fight
and rave and holler
then i don't even bother.
so many years of marriage
and it's going down the drain
when you can't speak to each other
that's a crying shame.
you try to talk civil, and to correct
the problem which has come up.
but! the fighting continues
so you decide to shut up.
you feel your heart pulling
and being yanked out of your chest
and then you begin to wonder
if this is just a test.
they say that sometimes the LORD
can be a joker, he will
tease you and laugh with you
and stick you with a poker.
but! it is just to see, if your faith
in him is strong
for that is where faith belongs.
so i close my eyes and think
of the faith within, and i begin to wonder
'did i commit a sin'.
i think of all the pros and cons
of the life that i am living
and if there is something more
that i should be giving.
did i give support when it was needed most?
did i turn my back and close a deaf ear
or did i show how much i really care.
these are the questions that i have to ask
and to try to remember something in my past.
marriage is a sacred vow, made before GOD.
and we have to continue to fight
no matter how hard.

Stand & Fight
Lonely hearted hunter dont say nothing
The hunger and the hurt
Got only one law
Never mind your words
Unseen, unheard, unsung, undone
Aint bot one place left to run
Stand up, stand and fight
Undercover creature that dont see sunshine
Make it in the dark
Dont think twice
Never mind making nice
Black eyes, black sights, black magical rites tonight
There comes a time, babe
Stand up, stand and fight
Dont you worry bout me little darling
No, I aint breaking
Im shaking and aching
cause I cant stand waiting
There comes a time to stand and fight
Maximum destruction
Blood red deadheads
Tearing it up, wearing it down
Never mind my name
Im unclaimed, unnamed and unashamed
Id like to say
Fan the flames
Stand and fight
You aint doing nobody no kind of favors
Lying around like a rug on the floor
Sooner or later youve got to stand up
And say you wont take it any more
Stand up, stand and fight

Just Too Tired To Fight It
Here comes that same old memory
Like a movie in my mind
You told me you loved another
Then you drove off through the pines
And I swear it feels like yesterday
Though it's been a long, long time
I can still feel those cold chills
Runnin up and down my spine
Chorus:
And I've been fighting back the memories
I've been fightin back the tears
And I'm fightin back the hurt I still feel
After all these years
If I had the strength I'd fight
To make things like they were before
But I'm just too tired
To fight it anymore
Everyday my heart reminds me
How I boldly spoke those lines
I can get along without you
And I'm gonna be just fine
But the nights alone grew colder
Than I ever thought they'd be
And I spend every hour searchin
For what you took out of me
Chorus
And I thought time would overcome the torture
But instead I'm getting weaker everyday
Yeah
Whoa...
I've been fighting back the memories
I've been fighting back the tears
And I'm fighting back the hurt I still feel
After all these years
If I had the strength I'd fight
To make things like they were before
But I'm just too tired to fight
There ain't no way to hide it
I'm just too tired to fight it anymore
Yeah, I'm just too tired to fight it anymore

Enough for us
God has given enough for us to enjoy
As a boy we did it willingly with toys
As the time move on we surrendered in safe hands
Belief you can call it for hoping peaceful end
Not all may find it comfortable in life
Some may find it pinching from sharp edge of knife
Yet it is not forcing you to end the span
It can be never your idea with any plan
I believe He should be always in our find
Whether you offer it through prayers or through mind
The message will surely be responded
As we are at his mercy and wholly depended
“My dear friend, I am victimized”
“I have been discriminated and marginalized”
“I am loosing faith and living ground”
I was listening to words from friend which were totally unsound
Dear, He is the only strength to provide you corrective strength
No matter what God you pray or align with wave length
You remember him in your spare time and see the result
You will be spared from all pains and possibly worst insult
She was unconvinced but lending ears
She had been in close contact for years
I could convince her for some peace of mind
She was very good at heart and little mild
She will grudgingly argue and try to convince
Her ailing mind will not relent for all sorts of failure since
I was all sympathetic for her bad plight
But I poured some positive strength to fight
She first time acknowledged to have felt very good
Even though she was near starvation for the want of food
She had gained tremendous will power to stand fast
She was not going to surrender till the last
I heaved a sigh of relief
Not that I had instilled confidence and belief
But she had gained what was not with her
Now she was in control and need not bother
How many of us may be hiding from reality?
How many may be cheating conscious with ability?
What result they may be expecting from poor front?
I just bowed my head in recognition with upbeat front
It has no special attachment with religious favor
We are true sons and really live on with flavor
As human birth is next to impossible for many
Yet it is inevitability to fight the path and tyranny
*I would love the spirit and will power to fight*

When Love & Hate Collide
You could have a change of heart, if you would only change your mind
Instead of slamming down the phone girl, for the hundredth time
I got your number on my wall, but i ain't gonna make that call
When divided we stand baby, united we fall
Got the time got a chance gonna make it
Got my hands on your heart gonna take it
All i know i can't fight this flame
You could have a change of heart, if you would only change your mind
Cause i'm crazy 'bout you baby, time after time
Without you
One night alone
Is like a year without you baby
Do you have a heart of stone
Without you
Can't stop the hurt inside
When love and hate collide
I don't wanna fight no more, i don't know what we're fighting for
When we treat each other baby, like an act of war
I could tell a million lies and it would come as no surprise
When the truth is like a stranger, hits you right between the eyes
There's a time and a place and a reason
And i know i got a love to believe in
All i know got to win this time
You could have a change of heart, if you would only change your mind
Cause i'm crazy 'bout you baby...crazy...crazy
Without you
One night alone
Is like a year without you baby
Do you have a heart of stone

Is like a year without you baby

Press On
[1st Verse:]
Life has a way of making you live it.
Sometimes it takes you to giving it.
Do you fold or do you play on?
The next move always depends on you.
If your work is good then it's trouble at home.
If your moves is right.
Then your dough is tight.
It's like running a engine on no fuel.
How do you play in a game with no rules?
[B-Sect:]
(It's always a fight).
A constant battle in my mind. (No place to run, no were to hide).
I gotta keep moving on, I gotta at least try...
(Dealing with the pressures of everyday life).
Gotta go the extra mile just can't throw in the towel.
You would be so amazed by the things that I can tell...
[Hook:]
I got troubles with in, troubles with out.
Making it threw but tryin' to figure it out.
Tryin' to stay right when the world is so wrong.
But I gotta keep moving and press on.
Gotta stay real, tryin' to be strong.
Making it close but gotta hold on.
Tryin' to stay right but the world is so wrong.
But I gotta keep moving and press on, press on.
[2nd Verse:]
It's such a shame the more that you give the more that you have to wait.
For some one to appreciate all the moves you make.
All the chances you gotta take.
The way to get ahead is to have the fear in your eyes.
The only way to get by is for you never let'em see you sweat.
You sure better not let'em see you cry...

Everyday it's something new to face.
Every night praying that I'll survive.
Oh oh ooh.
Tryin' to deal with the pressure.
Every time I try to get ahead.
Every mistake I make they try to do me in.
Whoa oh ohh!
How much more?
Ooh, ooh,
ooh.

Head For The Barricade
FIGHT, FIGHT
FIGHT, FIGHT
FIGHT, FIGHT
FIGHT, FIGHT
Sometimes you gotta fight for your right
When your not sure you're in a fight for your life right?
If you ain't packin any tactics
You might get ass kicked
Even if you are you little knucklehead
I'm kinda sick of being aggravated
I'm glad I'm hated
I guess I'm doing something right
But that's what happened back in Columbine
You gotta know when to stop
And not go over the top
Cause there's a chamber deep inside the brain
It's covered with chains
So don't be shaking them loose
And if you do I'll be running for the hills
Cause I'm ready to rock and now we're playing for real
I gotta
FIGHT FIGHT
You better watch out when my adrenaline kicks I gotta
FIGHT FIGHT
IT'S TOO LATE, YOU ALREADY BEEN HIT, DAMN!
STICK 'EM STICK 'EM
STICK 'EM HA HAHA STICK 'EM
STICK 'EM STICK 'EM
YEAH! (Head for the barricades)
STICK 'EM STICK 'EM
STICK 'EM HA HAHA STICK 'EM
STICK 'EM STICK 'EM
YEAH! (Head for the barricades)
This world can make you stick to your stomach so I
Put on my headphones, listen to the Deftones
It's getting crowded in my spaceship
Living in a dream
Running from the hate machine
You know it's,
Such a drag when there's people talking down to ya
Such a drag when everything sucks do ya,
Walk away with spit on your face or do ya,
Draw lines and give them a taste cause I,
Know it's never gonna end
If it happens again I'm going straight for the throat
Another note
Don't forget you had a chance
Now I'm over the sidelines and ready to dance
I gotta
FIGHT FIGHT
You better watch out when my adrenaline kicks I gotta
FIGHT FIGHT
IT'S TOO LATE, YOU ALREADY BEEN HIT, DAMN!
STICK 'EM STICK 'EM
STICK 'EM HA HAHA STICK 'EM
STICK 'EM STICK 'EM
YEAH! (Head for the barricade)
STICK 'EM STICK 'EM
STICK 'EM HA HAHA STICK 'EM
STICK 'EM STICK 'EM
YEAH! (Head for the barricade)
IF YOU GOT THE GUTS (Head for the barricade)
Then come on down (Head for the barricade)
IF YOU GOT THE GUTS (Head for the barricade)
Then come on down (Head for the barricade)
AND HEAD FOR THE BARRICADE
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT
GET UP GET UP
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT
GET UP GET UP
FIGHT
HEAD FOR THE BARRICADE
I ain't playin around
HEAD FOR THE BARRICADE
I ain't playin around
HEAD FOR THE BARRICADE
STICK 'EM STICK 'EM
STICK 'EM HA HAHA STICK 'EM
STICK 'EM STICK 'EM
YEAH! (Head for the barricade)
STICK 'EM STICK 'EM
STICK 'EM HA HAHA STICK 'EM
STICK 'EM STICK 'EM
YEAH! (Head for the barricades)

First of all
First of all you should never cry
You must explore all possible means and try
There is something wrong in it if you feel shy?
You should not repeatedly ask for it and if at all why?
Who wants to stand by your side and share the grief?
Who wants to act as friend and precisely to be brief?
Why not give one trial for someone to rectify mistake?
Why not breathe peace at ease as possible energy intake?
It must remain deep rooted inside with complete calm
It may give strength all the time and do no harm
It will always remind you to come out of its shock
What else can we do except hearing sound in the clock?
It is of no use to guard it in walls of heart and mind
It may block the way of thinking for any solutions to find
It is better to avoid unpleasant matters to gain control
You must walk freely in the streets with easy mind and stroll
These things are essential for those who doesn’t want to fight
Meekly submit to unhealthy things and surrender the rights
Who prevents them to regain and restore the lost pride?
Is it necessary to live in shame and not to confide?
Whenever you prefer to cry for a moment and lessen the burden?
It will give you some relief as plant is watered in the garden
You may come out of shock and adjust to routine as usual
This is incorrect approach and need not be taken as casual
You must love to live with crisis
There is no logic behind or any thesis
How life can be different from any angle?
After all we are human beings and not animals from the jungle
We must have enough alternatives to reach the shore
Violence must be met with violence and not to abhor
It will be considered as giving away the rightful place
So we must stick to it and prepare for any eventuality to face
Tears should fall only when happiness is returned
It shouldn’t happen when faced with problem or offer is spurned
Tears can move cruel or strong hearted person
You should shed it only when you have enough reason
You may have good nature and tendency to forget
Don’t prove vulnerable to any of designs as weak target
You may have stand of your own and face the music
Events may turn in your favor or result as tragic

Authority Song
They like to get you in a compromising position
They like to get you there and smille in your face
They think, theyre so cute when they got you in that condition
Well I think, its a total disgrace
Chorus:
I fight authority, authority always wins
I fight authority, authority always wins
I been doing it, since I was a young kid
Ive come out grinnin
I fight authority, authority always wins
So I call up my preacher
I say: gimme strenght for round 5
He said: you dont need no strength, you need to grow up, son
I said: growing up leads to growing old and then to dying,
And dying to me dont sound like all that much fun
Chorus:
I fight authority, authority always wins
I fight authority, authority always wins
I been doing it, since I was a young kid
Ive come out grinnin
I fight authority, authority always wins
I fight authority, authority always wins
I fight authority, authority always wins
I been doing it, since I was a young kid
Ive come out grinnin
I fight authority, authority always wins
Oh no
Oh no
I fight authority, authority always wins
Chorus:
I fight authority, authority always wins
I fight authority, authority always wins
I been doing it, since I was a young kid
Ive come out grinnin
I fight authority, authority always wins
I fight authority, authority always wins
I fight authority, authority always wins
I been doing it, since I was a young kid
Ive come out grinnin
I fight authority, authority always wins

Pride Comes Before A Fall
The great one does not last a champion in his prime
He lost to a younger man with some help from father time
The years had left him slow time takes care of us all
He defended his pride but pride comes before a fall.
And even what a difference five or six years can make
To keep on keeping on for him a big mistake
He should have called it quits a couple of years ago
For the money he kept going though the years had left him slow.
Once feted and admired but that was in the past
And he too had his day and nothing ever last
He went down rather tame to one that he once would beat
And for one proud as he there is no pride in defeat.
The beaten one this time he has called it a day
Though perhaps six years ago he should have given his game away
But his pride kept him going wisdom never was his friend
And his glory day for him one might say at an end.
