Running Out Of Time
Just looked at my watch and I'm running out of time.
Best to attend to pertinent issues and forget the five and dime.
I'm usually so busy with routine chores of the day
That what really counts I miss or feel it's just in my way.
After work I was too tired for family with no strength to move on.
Now I sit with time on my hands, but with family long gone.
I spent my time gathering material possessions for all to see.
Now that time is running out I realize they mean nothing to me.
The two sided coin of time has helped me truly understand
That life is like a veritable desert of sand.
One side is love which will provide protection every hour.
The other is desire for material things sands of time will devour.

Your Move
Written by terry shaddick and steve kipner, 1983
Found on your move and the very best of america.
I don't understand it 'cause you won't say yes
But you don't say no
Sayin' no we shouldn't you keep holdin' out
But you don't let go
I'm givin' up on trying
To sell you things that you ain't buying
It's your move (your move)
I played all of mine
Time (ah) is running out
Make your move (your move)
Or we can't go on
Till (ah) you understand
It's all in your hands
It's your move
You're giving me the business with that old come on
But you don't come across
You get me so excited don't you know you're such a tease
When i think you're gettin' hot, you're not
(oo) so what's the problem, what's wrong
This kiss and miss you know it can't go on
It's your move (your move)
I played all of mine
Time (ah) is running out
Make your move (your move)
Or we can't go on
Till (ah) you understand
It's all in your hands
It's your move
(know it can't go on) go on
I'm givin' up on trying now it's (your move)
Girl, if you ain't buyin' now it's (your move)
I gave it all i got now it's (your move)
I thought you were hot but you're not so it's (your move, your move, your move)
It's your move (your move, ah)
I played all of mine
Time is running out
Make your move (ah, oh)
Or we can't go on
Till you understand
It's all in your hands
It's your move
It's your move (your move, ah)
I played all of mine
Time is running out
Make your move (ah, oh)
Or we can't go on
Till you understand
It's all in your hands
It's your move
It's your move (your move, ah)

A time to bury sorrow
A time for you and a time for me,
to be whatever, we choose to be;
to set our sights, to reach the peak,
to realize goals, we truly seek.
A time to dwell. on things long past,
a time to think, on things that last;
on family, friends and things that matter,
on things that endure and do not scattter.
A time to laugh and a time to weep,
a time for treasured things to keep;
a time for reflection on how we feel,
a time to mend and a time to heal.
A time to live and a time to die,
a time for joy and a time to cry;
a time to smile and a time for tears,
a time for God to calm our fears.
A time to despose of loved ones dead,
A time to get on with the day ahead;
To blot out death and face the 'morrow,
To clear the mind and bury sorrow.

Its Your Move
(s. kipner/t. shaddick)
I dont understand it
cause you wont say yes
But you dont say no
You say you know we shouldnt
You keep holding out
But you dont let go
Im giving up on trying
To sell you things
That you aint buying
Its your move
Ive made up my mind
Time is running out
Make a move
Oh, we can go on
Do you understand
Its all in your hands
Its your move
Youre giving me the business
With what old come-on
But you dont come across
You get me so excited
Dont you know youre such a tease
When I think youre getting hot
Youre not
So whats the problem
Whats wrong
This kiss and miss
You know it cant go on
Its your move
Ive made up my mind
Time is running out
Make a move
cause we cant go on
I want you to know
Its your move
Your turn to go
Im giving up on trying
To sell you things you aint buying
Its your move
Ive made up my mind
Time is running out
Make a move
Oh, we cant go on
Do you understand
Its all in your hands
Its your move
Ive made up my mind
Time is running out
Make a move
Oh, we cant go on
Do you understand
Its all in your hand
Its your move
Ive made up my mind
Time is running out
Make a move
Oh, we cant go on

At Least
Oh, hmm oh yeah, hmm, hmm, hmm
I'm on way back to Atlanta
About to start a new life
Cause I can't take it here
It seems the more we fight
The more the pressure
I'm in this lonely house
Sitting high up on a hill
Pressin' the buttons on the control
Flipping through channels on TV
Wondering when you're coming home
And take care of family
At least you can call and say I'm busy
At least you can say I'm running late
At least you can give some kind of notice
Let somebody know that you're okay
At least you can take some time to phone
At least you can just one day stay home
At least you can take me out to me
If you love me, you would've done those things
You won't miss me till I'm gone
Impossible to drink from a well that's gone dry, yeah
And every night you come in singing the same old song
How could you do me wrong?
When you know it ain't right
Pressin' the buttons on the control
Flipping through channels on TV
Wondering when you're coming home
And take care of family
At least you can call and say I'm busy
At least you can say I'm running late
At least you can give some kind of notice
Let somebody know that you're okay
At least you can take some time to phone
At least you can just one day stay home
At least you can take me out to me
If you love me, you would've done those things
Take in a movie show, a carnival
A place to go, we can be alone
But instead I'm staring at these matching walls
The weekends spent, a compliment
Flowers sent would've kept me at home
But now instead I'm packing my bags and I'm gone
At least you can call and say I'm busy
At least you can say I'm running late
At least you can give some kind of notice
Let somebody know that you're okay
At least you can take some time to phone
At least you can just one day stay home
At least you can take me out to me
If you love me, you would've done those things
At least you can call and say I'm busy
At least you can say I'm running late
At least you can give some kind of notice
Let somebody know that you're okay
At least you can take some time to phone
At least you can just one day stay home
At least you can take me out to me
If you love me, you would've done those things
All I wanted was a smile
For you to stay a little while
It's too late for it
Cause you forgot the little things, whoa, oh
At least you can call and say I'm busy
At least you can say I'm running late
At least you can give some kind of notice
Let somebody know that you're okay
At least you can take some time to phone
At least you can just one day stay home
At least you can take me out to me
If you love me, you would've done those things

Twenty year old friendship
Twenty year old friendship
It was this month
Twenty years ago
I came across you
And took you with me
Since then
You are my conscious keeper
I looked at you
For anything and every thing
I look at you
As soon I wake up
I look at you
As I take my breakfast
I look at you
As I leave for office
Whenever there are challenges
I look at you
And you always give me a breather
And you used to say
There is time still
When I look at you in the event
Of an unfavourable situation
You smile with your hands spread
And say
You should have done something about this
Much earlier
Whenever I am in a rush
Whether it is to attend a meeting
Or to catch a flight, train or bus
I look at you
You will say either there is time still
Or you should have left earlier
It is difficult to say
As to when I have not consulted you
Every now and then
I look at you
And you never failed me
You were prompt although
To give me the help I need
I will not say you kept me on my toes
But, yes, you helped me keep my times
Any event, joyful or otherwise
As soon as it occurred
I would look at you
You kept me telling indirectly
That things keep pace with time
And change
Your message was always
That time is the best healer
And is the best in sorting issues
As you know time puts things
At their right place
For all these I have done nothing to you
But to feed you
With a small disc
This feed is good enough for you
To keep yourself performing
For months
You might have fallen sick
Thrice in these twenty years
Never once I spent
More than the consultation fee, which I pay
To my medical practitioner
I see of late
You are running slow
Because of this long twenty years’ running
May be, soon I will stop
Consulting you
And I am planning to put you to rest
My dear, twenty years old Titan watch

Who Knows Where Time Goes
Time is something we don't understand,
It's gone with a hello and a shake of the hand.
Never enough time for those you hold dear
But always, time for sadness and tears.
Time, you can't se it at all
For it passes so quickly --- while you lean on a wall.
Who knows where time goes/
No time for the dreams you have for yourself
Nor time for reading all the books the shelf.
Not enough time to go drifting along
For one has to work eight hours long.
Who knows where time goes?
No time to laugh --- and just be alone,
No time at all for friend or foe.
Time is running out --- people all say,
Who knows where time goes --- each and every day!

The Sands Of Time
The trickling of sand has started now
for the moments we shall share.
There will not be enough time for us,
not enough time to spare.
Let's turn the hourglass over and over
so our time cannot run out.
For our love, my sweet is all that counts.
It's all I think about.
The sands of time one by one
are traveling much too fast.
How can we slow them down, my dear?
How can we make them last?
Yours is the heart that beats my life,
one beat at a time.
Yours is the mind that connects with me
one thought at a time.
And as we travel through our lives
those grainy sands still fall,
making me want to hang on tight
and stop them once and for all.
But life is movement and must go on
so take my hand and stay
close by my side through all our moments
as the sands of time fall away.

The Gathering
The Gathering
The time has come once again for the gathering. We come to together to laugh and hug filling the universe with our family’s love. At the gathering we will also reminisce about all the love ones we miss. Some of whom just could not make it, and the others who can now only be with us in spirit. Now with some of the memories we will be sadden but we must not let our spirits be dampen. Because this the time for love, hugs and laughing; we are family and this is The Gathering.
I Dedicate the poem to The Smith Family Reunion 2009
May not be there physically this year but my voice will always be with you.
A Matter Of Time
Time in a bottle;
sands of time
running out of time.
IF there is
a time to be born
and a time to die,
is there enough time
and for what?
Is time on my side;
is it friend
or enemy?
And why is it getting faster
while I am getting slower,
and
what is that
infernal ticking?

A Long Time Ago
Sitting here , all alone
Wondering what to do
Life went faster than the time
I had to achieve the things I had in mind
Their disguise , I see with my eyes
Many things I should have realized
A long time ago , long long time ago
Never changing , ever aging
It drags from day to day
I wish that I had found myself
Before it robbed me of the time
Oh no , oh no
I should have realized
A long long time ago
A long time ago
A long time ago
(break)
Seeing things , open doors
People invited me into
Oh they were so good to me
And always helped me on my way
Then I woke from this dream
Known that I should have realized
A long time ago
Long long time ago
Another day , another way
I dont care what people say
No , I realize that theres no other way for me
Suppose Ill just have to live from day to day
Oh no , oh no
I should have realized
A long long time ago
A long time ago
A long time ago

Being a man needs time
Time to be educated and to be wise
Wise for his daily life to suffice
Being a man needs time
Time to raise his family
Family with loving wife who cares everyday
Everyday that makes him strong all the way
Being a man needs time
Time to dream for his child
Child that gives him delight
Delight for a child that made him a dad
Being a man needs time
Time to risk his life for a cause
Cause unknown to a man willing to die
To die for his family loving them day by day
Being a man needs time
Time to choose between duty and principle
Principle that governs life he thought
Thought for nothing but for work and to survive
Being a man needs time
Time to say I will and to do what he can
He can for risking life saving both he love
Love that needs no identity from anybody
Being a man needs time
Time to feel the glory of life
Life that offers dedication even without-
Without reason yet because of real love

Running Out Of Days
Theres too much work and Im spent
Theres too much pressure and I admit
I got no time to move ahead
Have you heard one thing that Ive said
And all these little things in life they all create this haze
Theres too many things to get done, and Im running out of days
And I cant last here for so long
I feel this current its so strong
It gets me further down the line
It gets me closer to the line
And all these little things in life they all create this haze
Theres too many things to get done, and Im running out of days
All these little things in life they all create this haze
Theres too many things to get done, and Im running out of days
Will all these little things in life they all create this haze
And now Im running out of time I cant see through this haze
My friend tell me why it has to be this way
Theres too many things to get done, and Im running out of days

Running To You
My life is falling to pieces
It turning upside down
I'm running away from my past and forgetting it
Running to you
For help and save me from this broken road
Take me back home
You're my hero
I do anything to get out of here
I'm sick and tired of same routine
Days going on and past me by
Running to you
For fun and wild time of my life
I'm just looking for a good time with you
Running from here, my problems, and everyone
Running to you

Time2
Time is running
Running through my mind
It continuously runs
Even when i waste time
'Time is
A valuable thing
Watch it fly by
Like a pendelum swing'
'Watched it watch me
And the words that i say
But the time of the clock
Echoes in my veins.'
The clock keeps tickin
No matter what you do
You could be action idiotic
But you're wasting time too
'i know that i didnt
Look down below
As i watched the time go
Right out the window'
You can waste your life
If you dont value your time
pay atention to this poem
And just Think of this Ryme.
'i tried to hold on
tried not to watch
As i wasted it all
On the hands of a clock'

Black & White
Long before you ever saw your chances
You were going to burn this city down
Tired of the fashions and the dances
Tired of the people standing around
Ticking like a bomb in the night
And you knew you were right
Black and white
Blame it on the time it took to leave here
Blame it on the ones who slowed you down
Blame it on the kind of friends you knew here
Blame it on the sickness going round
Going round and round in the night
With your heart out of sight
With your world burning bright
Like a moth round a light
Black and white
The pictures of a life in flames
Black and white
The picture of a life remains
And the search you half remember
Setting out on at the start
Is burning like an ember in your heart
Time running out time running out
For the fool still asking what his life is about
Time running out time running out
Time running out time running out
Yeah, beyond a shadow of a doubt
Time running out time running out
Tell them that youve gone to find a person
Someone you lost track of long ago
Tell them that its someone you need worse than
Anybody else youll ever know
Ticking like a bomb in the night
You were strong, you were light
You were fast, you were bright
Then you were gone in the light
Black and white
The pictures of a life in flames
Black and white
The picture of a life remains
And the high ideals and the promise
You once dressed the future in
Are dancing in the embers with the wind
Time running out time running out

Time Time Time
Time time time
Make time, give time, take time out
Win time, cost time, the time of your life
Spend time, sell time, the good times and the bad
Kill time, zero time, all the time in the world
Time watch, time travel, time to begin
Time table, time square, can I fit you in
Time frame, time to go, time that you grew up
But tell me...
How do you feel?

Being thankful for what you have
being thankful in life,
don't mean material things,
it's for enjoying the little things in life,
things that money can't buy,
like good friends and family,
becuz in the end,
when it feels like you have nothing,
you still have by your side,
what matters the most,
and everything that can never be replaced,
it not about the fansy food that you can make,
not about what you worked so hard,
just to get at this point,
it for the little things everybody takes for granted,
loving the family you have,
just the way they are,
just enjoying life,
without it feeling like you hate it,
life has it moments,
but it's feels so great,
when you can truely sit back,
and enjoy what you already have in front of you,
because when one of your family no longer there,
you wish as if you could of enjoyed the small things,
instead of being picky,
for what wasn't made,
it's a time to be thankful,
not a time to be greedy.
