Autumnal Love
I can still taste the fragrant sweet air,
Those cider scented,
honey-crisp kisses we shared,
golden delicious glow of your hair.
Autumn's chill
soggy stew serving
bitter lip biting
appetizer for two
before winter's
frothy frozen
teeth chatterin
bone clatterin
brew.
Rustling atop the maple's scarlet
royal rusted gold carpet,
two sleepy sloe eye lovers
under the shared shade of
the orchard's fall parasol.
How the zephyr inflated the day!
And like a zeppelin
the earth sailed from beneath our feet!
Occidental oil skimming dusk's kisses
'cross the cumulus' lofty body.
soft sheets of argentry cloud cover
lining the clear caesious canopy.
lurid leaves ablaze,
shards of sunlight flourishing
in the prolonged summer,
playing in the shattered prism
arboreal shadows netting branches.
Tresses of October pumpkin hair
foliage dressed orange and vermillion ripe
earth-size mirrors of miniature solar flares,
under the sun shining fulgent and bright!
fragments of fiery silence, autumn's dying embers
shed and cast to the ground
Oh behold what a cheery seasonal sight!
O your hips!
Your waist!
Your thighs!
You were a tiny,
private orchard at the peak of harvest!
The boughs of your bodice ripe and fecund with
the apples of mother earth's manna nourishment.
Shivering passers bundled
barren boughs bowing humbled
fanciful whims of lofting winds
gentle bending limbs
soft swaying amber diadems
Fair weather lovers
fire side cozied
numb interlocked fingers
cheeks warm and rosy
Oh, these memories,
like a bite of apple resting on my tongue:
an overwhelming sweetness,
tinged with a bitter after taste:
my hunger stimulated yet remains unsatisfied.
The seasons surrounding us have changed,
time has shuffled its deck,
and the world has been rearranged
yet through it all,
how the ageless lovers remain the same,
lost in the age's timeless game.

The Apple Orchard
A sunny afternoon, with blanket spread,
Beneath some apple trees, with ample shade,
We'd sit with tray of tea and gingerbread,
Scones with cream, and these were freshly homemade.
Apples hung above us, each ripe and red,
So colourful, they somehow set the scene.
Sampling strawberry jam on thin sliced shortbread,
We'd lay and watch the leaves, with sun between.
Peaceful lazy days were these, and so free,
Whiling away hours, with paint and book,
Our orchard, where under a favoured tree,
We'd relish Peter Pan and Captain Hook.
Those rosy apples, that we'd all consume,
And savour juicy flesh so soft and sweet,
Eating them until we had no more room,
Those halcyon days were to us a treat.
Dappled sunshine sparkled amids the boughs,
And danced on, with a gentle pleasing sway,
Oh What I would give to again just browse,
In that apple orchard, for one more day.

Farewell To Summer
It has begun: a few leaves are falling;
Autumn has started its gentle calling.
Summer is slowly coming to an end;
Now autumn wants to be our friend.
During autumn, we may feel a little cold,
But, in return, we've been promised gold.
Golden leaves will be found all around:
Up in the trees, and down on the ground.
Leaves of yellow, brown, orange, and fiery red,
Will form a coloured carpet to soften our tread.
We'll be presented with a whole wealth of riches,
As, from summer to autumn, the season switches.
The tall, towering trees will be set ablaze,
As traces of summer are slowly erased.
Sorely missed will be summer's long days;
Sorely missed will be summer's warm rays.
But time moves on, and the summer must go;
No doubt we'll be dazzled by autumn's show.
Autumn prefers to paint us a different scene;
It likes to wipe summer's colour palette clean.
Some say farewell to summer with a sad tear,
But, others much prefer this time of the year.
Chill September mornings may be here again,
But our memories of this summer will remain.

Story of a Kiss
This is the story of a kiss
Sometimes heated with passion
Leaving lovers hot and wanting more
At times gentle and sweet
Full of feeling and unspoken words
Playful kisses between friend
Romantic kisses for lovers
Loving kisses from mothers
Awkward kisses too
A kiss in spring, when new love blooms
Summer time kisses, a time for play
Autumn kisses, as the leaves fall around us
Heated kisses in winter, among a snowflake blizzard
Cloudy day kiss, as the rain comes pouring down
Forbidden kiss, dark and full of passion
Vampire kiss, biting and sensational
Give me a secret kiss, just one between you and me
Kiss me at midnight on New Year's Eve
And under the mistletoe at Christmas
Under a starry sky, with no one watching but the moon
A slip of the tongue would do no harm
For a different kind of kiss
So many types of kisses that I wish to try
And I wish to try them all with you
Just please, don't kiss and tell

New York... Not In Autum
It was a cool, July, and it was dusk.
The gentle winds that blew,
brushed the Autumn of your hair.
And a mist, as like in Autumn, touch
your face, as I stood still.
I could not help but wonder, as in Autumn,
are the bees yet in their hive? Snuggled
closely, in their Autumn winter bed.?
An Autumn sun, hid behind the clouds above.
It knew not of this July, only of Autumn, in the air.
It knew of flowers drooping, their brightness,
now fading and curled. It knew of falling leaves,
and colors still so bright. A lone tree against a colored
sky, seemed naked in this July. With all of
this, and some to go, it must be Autumn...Autumn...
Autumn, for this I know.
What of the woman, with the hair of Autumn?
Her eyes of Autumn color and colored clothes
the same. It can not be July for
Autumn is abound.
Autumns every where. Circling sparrows in sky
above, swoop down, in hunt, for the final seeds
of Autumn. How could this be July,
or has the sparrows lost their way?
Surely, this is Autumn, for the chill is in they air.
And, isn't that an Autumn grass, below that
old oak tree? As the gentle Autumn winds,
carry silence for the day.
Now the mist of Autumn, are falling drops of rain.
No, not a shower in July, but an Autumn day,
now cast in gloom, against a steel gray sky.
Autumn, shall never be the same, since
that Autumn day in mid July.
Only On This Day...

The Crossed Apple
I’ve come to give you fruit from out my orchard,
Of wide report.
I have trees there that bear me many apples.
Of every sort:
Clear, streaked; red and russet; green and golden;
Sour and sweet.
This apple’s from a tree yet unbeholden,
Where two kinds meet, -
So that this side is red without a dapple,
And this side’s hue
Is clear and snowy. It’s a lovely apple.
It is for you.
Within are five black pips as big as peas,
As you will find,
Potent to breed you five great apple trees
Of varying kind:
To breed you wood for fire, leaves for shade,
Apples for sauce.
Oh, this is a good apple for a maid,
It is a cross,
Fine on the finer, so the flesh is tight,
And grained like silk.
Sweet Burning gave the red side, and the white
Is Meadow Milk.
Eat it, and you will taste more than the fruit:
The blossom, too,
The sun, the air, the darkness at the root,
The rain, the dew,
The earth we came to, and the time we flee,
The fire and the breast.
I claim the white part, maiden, that’s for me.
You take the rest.

Pumpkin Parade
The pungent smell of autumn
With the air so crisp and cool
Golden leaves tumble to the ground
A time for nature’s renewal
The pumpkins are harvested
When autumn time appears
They are ripe and ready
For the parade we all revere
Horses are hooked up
To wagons and carts
Folks all pile in
And we’re ready to start
Aren’t they just beautiful?
The pumpkins I mean
Every size shade and style
It’s a sweet autumn dream
The air is so fresh
The time is so right
It’s a pumpkin parade
What a beautiful sight!

I Have Seen Autumn
I have never felt the chill of winter
Nor the birth of spring
Only the two faces of Nature
The golden sun shining
Or the heavens openly weeping.
But I have seen autumn
As I looked at her
No cold winter in her smile
A promise of summer in her eyes
Her hair of autumn leaves.
I have never felt autumn
But I have seen it
It’s the canvass of Rembrandt
Dark, red, crimson, gold
But I have never felt it.
Is the autumn breeze damp and soft like her lips?
Is the autumn sky naked and warm like her skin?
But I have never kissed her lips nor touched her skin
I have only seen autumn
But I have never felt it.

Autumn (A Theme)
...In the schematics of the theme
Unaltered vibrant rays
...Cast their gilded luminescence
Upon late September Days
...Days returned to the Solid Gold
Of the Amber-Orange leaves
...And the branches brittle limbs
As they Fall from their trees
...An Apple Orchard is going bald
Settling upon distant frosty morns
...Altering the once warm-mist-dew
While snapping the Wild Rose Thorns
...It is the theme of Autumn
In a quiet repose, preparing for her rest
...For Her long winter nap
In a month and a half, at best
...Tis the slumber of hibernation
When trees, barren found
...Misted with the Ice Chip Granules
From Winter's Snow Drift Mounds

The Harp Of Aengus
Edain came out of Midhir's hill, and lay
Beside young Aengus in his tower of glass,
Where time is drowned in odour-laden winds
And Druid moons, and murmuring of boughs,
And sleepy boughs, and boughs where apples made
Of opal and ruhy and pale chrysolite
Awake unsleeping fires; and wove seven strings,
Sweet with all music, out of his long hair,
Because her hands had been made wild by love.
When Midhir's wife had changed her to a fly,
He made a harp with Druid apple-wood
That she among her winds might know he wept;
And from that hour he has watched over none
But faithful lovers.
