Think Twice

When all is said and done and dead
does he love you the way that I do
Breathing in lightning tonight's for fighting
I feel the hurt so physical
Think twice 'fore you touch my girl. Come around, I'll let you feel the burn
Think twice 'fore you touch my girl. Come around, come around no more
Think twice 'fore you touch my girl. Come around, I'll let you feel the burn
Think twice 'fore you touch my girl. Come around no more
She spreads her love, she burns me up
I can't let go I can't get out
I've said enough, enough by now
I can't let go, I can't get out.
Wait till the day you finally see I've been here waiting patiently
Crossing my fingers and my t's. You cried on my shoulder begging please
What is it you really want? I'm tired of asking!
You can't waste it
When I showed up and he was there I try my best to grin and bear
And took the stairs but didn't stop at the street and as we speak I'm going down
Cause she spread her love, and burned me out
I can't let go I can't get out
I've said enough, enough by now
I can't let go, I can't get out.

Death Right

You signed in blood…
The blood of the Devil
You signed your Death Right
Your Death Right to Hell.
I signed my Death Right,
Years ago.
In my own Blood, that the Devil
Gave to me at 24.
The Death Right can’t be burned,
Fore it is immune.
The Death Right can’t be cursed,
Fore it is already been done.
The Death Right can’t be torn.
Fore it is immortal.
Our Death Rights are forever
Even if you die.

Sonnet-Time Is Short

I must cross o'er the bridge 'fore it breaks down;
I must climb Life's ladder 'fore rungs give way;
I must pluck weeds 'fore the grass can be mown;
I must keep earnestly the Sabbath-Day.

I must swim ashore before the flood comes;
I must build house on ground that is hard rock;
When water falls on sugar, it forms lumps;
How long can ships be stationed in their dock?

I must store food for Winter is not far;
I must work hard for harvest to be good;
I must prepare with devils for a war;
To forget my Saviour, my heart, how could?

The Heaven’s gates will not be open long!
'Tis time I start to sing my divine song.

M a s q u e

Veiled to silhouette ''Itself''...'fore God's penumbra
Cursed of and cast to the flaming 'Chaos of Hades
Arrives by sin to place Its thorned badge o' rubicon
'Pon the heart-thread's of a populous lost in ersatz
All accomplished 'fore the bloody day was through
Such the statesman 'It'was...

No longer small, much larger now'It' breathes deep
In the brains and bowels of the likes of you and me
Masqued in sweet aroma, raise the cup....to the lips
To which pours 'Itself' from the lust of sordid carafs
All drunk or dead, 'fore the bloody day was through
Such the fools we be...

And it is said that hands of Power will be the first to Rise 'n War
And it is said that hands of Power will be wrapped in lambs wool

My fore people

My fore people
Birth the spiritual
Because God wanted
To hear it
He said ‘I feel your pains
Sang it away, sang’
And they opened their mouth
And the spiritual rang out
Go tell it on the mountain.
My fore mothers
Birthed the blues
Because they knew
That life in Americus
Wasn’t fair
So their souls said to them
Lady Day croon
Bessie Smith zoom
With the blues
Strange Fruits
My fore father
Birth jazz
Out of necessity
Out of chains around
Their ankles
They blow the sounds
Of the death bell
To tell that the struggler
Was not in vain
They blow jazz from
Within and still
There was more to give
Around midnight

Aztec

You came from the Aztecs
With a copper on your fore-arms
Tawnier than a sunset
Saying good-by to an even river.

And I said, you remember,
Those fore-arms of yours
Were finer than bronzes
And you were glad.

It was tears
And a path west
and a home-going
when I asked
Why there were scars of worn gold
Where a man’s ring was fixed once
On your third finger.
And I call you
To come back
before the days are longer.

One More Cup Of Coffee

Your breath is sweet
Your eyes are like two jewels in the sky.
Your back is straight, your hair is smooth
On the pillow where you lie.
But i don't sense affection
No gratitude or love
Your loyalty is not to me
But to the stars above.
One more cup of coffee for the road,
One more cup of coffee 'fore i go
To the valley below.
Your daddy he's an outlaw
And a wanderer by trade
He'll teach you how to pick and choose
And how to throw the blade.
He oversees his kingdom
So no stranger does intrude
His voice it trembles as he calls out
For another plate of food.
One more cup of coffee for the road,
One more cup of coffee 'fore i go
To the valley below.
Your sister sees the future
Like your mama and yourself.
You've never learned to read or write
There's no books upon your shelf.
And your pleasure knows no limits
Your voice is like a meadowlark
But your heart is like an ocean
Mysterious and dark.
One more cup of coffee for the road,
One more cup of coffee 'fore i go
To the valley below.

Midnight Blues

And peer international corproation
Got the blues like midnight.
Honey wont be long fore day.
Got the blues like midnight.
Honey wont be long fore day.
Wish that tornado would blow my blues away.
Lord, I can tell my bulldog
When I hear him bark
Lord, I can tell my baby
When I hear her in the dark.
Got the blues like midnight.
Honey wont be long fore day.
Got the blues like midnight.

His Wish To God

I would to God, that mine old age might have
Before my last, but here a living grave;
Some one poor almshouse, there to lie, or stir,
Ghost-like, as in my meaner sepulchre;
A little piggin, and a pipkin by,
To hold things fitting my necessity,
Which, rightly us'd, both in their time and place,
Might me excite to fore, and after, grace.
Thy cross, my Christ, fix'd 'fore mine eyes should be,
Not to adore that, but to worship Thee.
So here the remnant of my days I'd spend,
Reading Thy bible, and my book; so end.

Creepin

Hey, everybody wont you lend me your ear,
Theres something to fear, its here, and thats clear.
Men gettin rich off rapin the land,
I cant understand, why we dont take them in hand.
Woah, oh ... lord, I dont want to be their fool no more.
I dont want to be their fool no more.
Open eyes, but youre sleepin,
You best wake up fore tomorrow comes creepin in.
fore tomorrow comes creepin in.
Feel that our lives are in the hands of fools,
Loosin their cool, its us that they rule.
Too many people sittin dead on their ass,
They aint got no class, people, this time must pass.
Woah, oh ... lord, I dont want to be their fool no more.
Hey ... I dont want to be their fool no more.
Open eyes, but youre sleepin,
You best wake up fore tomorrow comes creepin in.
fore tomorrow comes creepin in.
Woah, oh ... yeah, tomorrow comes creepin.
Oh ... hear me cryin cause the people like me,
That long to be free, are not actually.
Please everybody wont you hear this song,
Help a country thats wrong, to someday be strong.
Woah, oh ... lord, I dont want to be their fool no more.
No! lord, I dont want to be their fool no more.
Open eyes, but youre sleepin,
You best wake up fore tomorrow comes creepin.
Creepin ...
Creepin ...
Creepin ...
Creepin ...
Creepin ...
Creepin ...
Creepin ...
Creepin ...
Creepin ...
Tomorrow comes creepin.
Tomorrow comes creepin.
Tomorrow comes creepin.
Tomorrow comes creepin.
Tomorrow comes creepin.
Tomorrow comes creepin.
Tomorrow comes creepin.
Tomorrow comes creepin.

Honky Tonk Saturday Night

Angels and devils share the same tables
And thats not so wrong if you get it done right.
Halos and horns lock up on the dance floor
On a honkytonk saturday night.
Its a honkytonk saturday night,
Its not who is who, its who will or who might.
With luck shell turn on fore they turn out the lights
On a honkytonk saturday night.
I played the jukebox, I played some merle haggard,
Me and the waitress think hes outta sight.
Then some folks got thirsty while we were dancin
On a honkytonk saturday night.
Its a honkytonk saturday night,
Its not who is who, its who will or who might.
With luck Ill turn her on fore they turn out the lights
On a honkytonk saturday night.
With luck Ill take her home fore they turn out the lights
On a honkytonk saturday night.

Married Man

Ooh, ooh
Saw you in the street one day
Walking up to you, wanted just to say baby
Instantly you looked the other way
You grabbed the ladys hand
And you kissed the head of her little man
Started thinkin should I blow him up?
Tell her who I am?
Tell weve been making so many plans?
But instead I left
And I just cried cause I was broke inside
Now I wanna know the reason why
Saw you walking by me
Strolling by casually like you didnt know my name
Baby in your wifeys arms
Breakin up my heart
Youre a married man playing games
Wish somebody told me fore I let you hold me
fore I let you in my bed
Never wouldve let you stay
Made you go away
Youre a married man playing games.
So tell me why do this to me?
Why do this to her?
And whyd you do this to your baby?
I loved you for your honesty
But it was just a lie
(dont you know the way Im feeling inside? )
You cant imagine how I feel
Thinking you were real then to find out were nothing
Ive been living in a faded dream
But reality quickly hit me
When I saw you with her
Saw you walking by me
Strolling by casually like you didnt know my name
Baby in your wifeys arms
Breakin up my heart
Youre a married man playing games
Wish somebody told me fore I let you hold me
fore I let you in my bed
Never wouldve let you stay
Made you go away
Youre a married man playing games.
Whoa
I cant believe youve been with me
While you were keeping home with her
So now I am the other girl in your other world
And didnt even know I was, oh no
You really thought that you could be with me
While you were keeping secrecys
But all thats dark will come to light
Baby that aint right
How you fronted in the street, I saw you, oh
Saw you walking by me
Strolling by casually like you didnt know my name
Baby in your wifeys arms
Breakin up my heart
Youre a married man playing games
Wish somebody told me fore I let you hold me
fore I let you in my bed
Never wouldve let you stay
Made you go away

J. Ms Question

Virginias in the bath house sayin, dont drink the water,
And Im already in the swimmin pool.
The woman in the straw hat said, the meat aint worth eatin,
And sunbathin here, baby, aint so cool.
Theres a hole in the ozone and the rats all got cancer
From too much tartar and nicotine.
Well, what kind of world do we live in
When the babysitter treats all the kids so mean?
No tresspassing will blow your brains out,
Will do it with atomic bomb.
Theyre cuttin down the rain forest and the food heres fattenin,
And I hope theres no satanic message in this song.
But, theres live aid and farm aid and all kind of hand grenades
To help us all get along.
Well, what kind of world do we live in
When evrything we do turns out so wrong?
Well, what kind of world do we live in
When eleven and seven equals two? yeah.
What kind of world do we live in
When you do it to your buddy fore he does it to you?
Got to do it to your buddy fore he does it to you.
The preacher he hands out verse and scripture
Just like he wrote it down himself.
Doctors and lawyers got a good thing going,
But that aint no place to go if you need help.
Theres too much sodium in my heartburn medicine
And I think I need to lay down for awhile.
Well, what kind of world do we live in
When evrything we do we do with such style?
Well, what kind of world do we live in
When eleven and seven equals two? yeah.
What kind of world do we live in
When you do it to your buddy fore he does it to you?
Got to do it to your buddy fore he does it to you.

Sea Ballad - From

“HOW many?” said our good Captain.
“Twenty sail and more.”
We were homeward bound,
Scudding in a gale with our jib towards the Nore.
Right athwart our tack,
The foe came thick and black,
Like Hell-birds and foul weather—you might count them by the score.

The Betsy Jane did slack
To see the game in view.
They knew the Union-Jack,
And the tyrant’s flag we knew!
Our Captain shouted “Clear the decks!” and the Bo’sun’s whistle blew.

Then our gallant Captain,
With his hand he seiz’d the wheel,
And pointed with his stump to the middle of the foe.
“Hurray, lads, in we go!”
(You should hear the British cheer,
Fore and aft.)

“There are twenty sail,” sang he,
“But little Betsy Jane bobs to nothing on the sea!”
(You should hear the British cheer,
Fore and aft.)

“See you ugly craft
With the pennon at her main!
Hurrah, my merry boys,
There goes the Betsy Jane!”
(You should hear the British cheer,
Fore and aft.)

The foe, he beats to quarters, and the Russian bugles sound;
And the little Betsy Jane she leaps upon the sea.
“Port and starboard!” cried our Captain;
“Pay it in, my hearts!” sang he.

“We ’re old England’s sons,
And we ’ll fight for her to-day!”
(You should hear the British cheer.
Fore and aft.)
“Fire away!”
In she runs,
And her guns
Thunder round.

Within

Cry without tears
See without sight
Night without day
And every days black as the night
Fly without wings
Feel without touch
Touch without feel
And everywhere nothing is real
I wanna see from within
I wanna be where Ive been
I want a truth not a lie
I wanna live fore I die
Life without death
World without end
Sleep without dreams
And nothing is quite what it seems
I want something more than youll know
Follow myself and go where you can never go
And I see though my eyes are closed
I wanna see from within
(cry without tears)
I wanna be where Ive been
(see without sight)
I want a truth not a lie
(night without day)
I wanna live fore I die
(and everywhere nothing is real)
(touch without feel and everywhere nothing is real)
Inside you without your blessing
Inside me is me confessing
Outside you is outside me
And inside there is no guarantee
I wanna see from within
I wanna be where Ive been
I want a truth not a lie
I wanna live fore I die
I wanna see from within
(life without death)
I wanna be where Ive been
(world without end)

What Do We Do With The Rest Of The Night

(john rich/wally wilson/sharon rice)
Weve been through enough tequila
To float us outta this place
And through the smoke I can barely see ya
But Ive memorized your face
Weve danced almost every dance
Lasted longer then the band
Oh but were not through
Its just me and you
What do we do with the rest of the night
We got all of this time on our hands
Hey a lot can go down fore the sun comes up
Between a woman and a man
No we dont have to worry bout the rest of our lives
But what do we do with the rest of the night
We can take this party down to the river
Lay a blanket on the grass
Watch the stars tangle up together
While the night slides past
We can do what we wanna do
Roll away that book of rules
Well make our own
Hey nothings carved in stone
What do we do with the rest of the night
We got all of this time on our hands
Hey a lot can go down fore the sun comes up
Between a woman and a man
No we dont have to worry bout the rest of our lives
But what do we do with the rest of the night
What do we do with the rest of the night
We got all of this time on our hands
Hey a lot can go down fore the sun comes up

Definitions As An Intention To Describe

Definitions as an intention to describe,
Can be so confining to the mind.
Case in point...
Having to 'some' a meaning.
But...
To those probing their observations,
Making little sense to make sensible...
A reason to find a rhyme.

I remember when I heard the term,
'Baseball' used.
And when I went to my first game,
I was not overwhelmed with excitement.
I couldn't get the 'bat' out of my head.

'Why isn't this game called 'Batball'...
Instead of baseball? '
I kept thinking of that.
Without the bat,
There wouldn't be any baseball played.

Unlike basket...ball.
I can understand that.
Foot...ball,
Okay...
I'm sold.
Base...ball?
And all that the bases do,
Is just lay there?

Home...plate?
That's not a home...base?
And the hitting of a 'homerun'...
That's out of the field of play?

Whoever created this game,
Is a genius.
The terms used as they are applied,
Makes absolutely no sense.

I can understand,
Why it's one of the most favorite sports.
Like golf!
When a player hits that ball,
That might endanger onlookers...
A shouting of 'fore' is heard.
Fore...what?
If one is hit...
Be-fore the word is heard,
That's it.
And even after 'fore'...
What difference does it make?

The other day...
I watched a player of 'baseball' lose his bat.
It went flying into the stadium...
To hit someone in the head.
No one warned the 'victim' at all.
No one shouted...
'Watch 'that'.
It's a flying bat.'

Hmmm...
Flying bats?
At a baseball game?
Where the selling of hot...dogs,
And pea...nuts with beer...
Is a tradition.

And someone wishes to keep the writing of poetry,
To restrictions?
By whose definition?
And when does prose not become poetry?

Change is needed

In 1776, people died for freedom, liberty, Justice
People say it’s what this country was built on
It’s all a lie this country was built on the very things
The pilgrims wished to leave behind
Built on the backs of people sold for trinkets
And as time went on people who looked more and
More like me my fore fathers built this country
Yours watched but that was long ago
So why do we fight only to destroy their work
Our home so why can’t we hold our siblings hand
Only for a few minutes a brief walk just little things
To instill equality, justice, and change
If tomorrow has come then let’s fix where out fore fathers
Went wrong let’s do it for us
