I shall defeat you
My maneuvers on wet track
and gambol are true

Studying New Maneuvers

Where is your prized horse?
The one that leads the pack,
Whenever I am on the track...
Just to practice.

Where is your prized horse?
The one you let loose to run the course.
To distract with an attraction,
To have me viewed by the others...
As the one to beat.
After you believe,
The releasing of your prized horse...
Should first be the one to wear me down.

Where is your prized horse?
The one that leads the pack,
Whenever I am on the track...
Just to practice.
Or have you come alone to take notes.
Get chummy and share a few jokes.
Believing I have an ego,
Unaware of every detail of my doing.

Where is your prized horse?
Studying new maneuvers,
To undo what comes natural to me?

Hour of Twilight

When swallows and bats
gambol outside in flight,
with the moon hanging full and stars
are shining like bright beacons in the night,
some people are walking in the streets
to dance and gambol
at places where the bright lights are inviting.

Defeating...That Beast

You've begun...to defeat,
That beast that's come to be.
You've become...to defeat it!
You've begun...to defeat it!

You've begun...to defeat,
That beast that's come to be.
You've become...to defeat it!
You've begun...to defeat it!

Think about the distance you've come,
Defeating...the beast.
Think about your decision not to run,
Away...from the beast.
Think about those knees on the ground,
Weeping for the beast.
Think about the dirt you ate,
Fed...by the beast.
Think about celebrating...
Those days ahead awaiting!

You've begun...to defeat,
That beast that's come to be.
You've become...to defeat it!
You've begun...to defeat it!

You've begun...to defeat,
That beast that's come to be.
You've become...to defeat it!
You've begun...to defeat it!

No longer the martyr,
Defeating...that beast.
Get up...and strut about.
You've defeated...that beast.
Let those words come out of your mouth,
'I've defeated...that beast! '
Let the people see and believe it,
You've defeated...that beast.
Whoop...and hollar about,
'I've defeated...and done feeding it!
That beast is outta my house.'

You've begun...to defeat,
That beast that's come to be.
You've become...to defeat it!
You've begun...to defeat it!

You've begun...to defeat,
That beast that's come to be.
You've become...to defeat it!
You've begun...to defeat it!

More than a piece of cake!
Defeating...that beast.
Gone and eliminated.
Defeating...that beast.

Much more than a piece of cake.
Defeating...that beast.
But gone and eliminated.
Defeating...that beast.

More than a piece of cake.
Defeating...that beast.
Gone and eliminated.
Defeating...that beast.

Much more than a piece of cake.
Defeating...that beast.
But gone and eliminated.
That beatened up beast to beat!

Elegy

Please dont look at me this way
I am from the same seed as you
Take me back to the womb
I am weary of this life
Dont believe in my eyes
Dont believe in my mind
Dont believe in right or wrong
Dont believe in cruel or kind
But all this talk is only poetry
Only as true as we would believe
We must live to fight the negative
Not to court the self in defeat oh oh oh oh
In defeat oh oh oh oh
Oh the pain of life is sweet
Is it wrong to long for death?
Must I cling to the thrills of life
Ash to ash and dust to dust
But all this talk is only poetry
Only as true as we would believe
We must live to fight the negative
Not court the self in defeat oh oh oh oh
In defeat oh oh oh oh
You have looked at me this way
We are all from the same seed
Take us forward through the tomb
Theres no finish to a life

Defeat

defeat must have the dignity
of a loser remaining
strong, supportive now of
the true winner.
defeat must shed no tear
must stand like a man,
bright still like the sun, peaceful as the pond
where the moon sits
and sings again.

This song was first released on the all aboard! album. it is the only album it has been released on.
Mo boys, is you right
Done got it right
All I hate about linin track
These ol boys are gonna break my back
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
See eloise gonna line em track
Down in the holler below the fleld
Angels working on the chariot wheel
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
See eloise gonna line em track
Mary and the babe was a sittin in the shade
Thinking on the money that I aint made
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
See eloise gonna line em track
Moses stood on the red sea shore
Gotta batten down the waves with a 2 by 4
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
See eloise gonna line em track
Now if I could I surely would
Stand on the rock where moses stood
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
See eloise gonna line em track
Matthew, mark, luke and john
All them disciples dead and gone
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
See eloise gonna line em track
Mo boys, is you right
Done got it right
All I hate about lining track
These ol boys about to break my back
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
See eloise gonna line em track

Get Me Back

Get me back,
On that right track
Baby.
I kept myself delayed,
Playing dead end games
And strayed.
And so...
I figured that,
I need to get back on that track!
Wishing's not enough...
I have stopped my bluff and cussin'!

Get me back,
On that right track
Baby.
I kept myself delayed,
Playing dead end games
And strayed.
And so...
I figured that,
I need to get back on that track!
Wishing's not enough...
I have stopped my bluff and cussin'!

Abandoned is a self defeat,
That creeped!
It didn't feed me what I needed!
You helped me once get on my feet,
After sleepin'.
Much more of me I know...
Is yet complete!

Get me back,
On that right track
Baby.
I kept myself delayed,
Playing dead end games
And strayed.
And so...
I figured that,
I need to get back on that track!
Wishing's not enough...
I have stopped my bluff and cussin'!

I haven't done my best.
I have messed up in digressions!

Get me back,
On that right track
Baby.
I kept myself delayed,
Playing dead end games
And strayed.
I need to get back on that track!
With less rest to pave my way!

There are no contests in the Art of Peace. A true warrior is invincible because he or she contests with nothing. Defeat means to defeat the mind of contention that we harbor within.

Do You Want To Do Maneuvers

Do you want to...
Live each day doing everything that you like.
Do you want to...
Have a crave and satisfy appetites.
Do you want to...
Go to bed and know you will sleep tight.
Boy,
Do want to.
Girl,
Do you want to...
Pursue redoing everything that you do.
Do you want to...
Maneuver.
Do you want to...
Maneuver.
Boy,
Do want to.
Girl,
Do you want to...
Live each day doing everything that you like.
Do you want to...
Have a crave and satisfy appetites.
Do you want to...
Go to bed and know you will sleep tight.
Do you want to do maneuvers.
Do you want to do maneuvers.

Perseverance (Loop Poem)

Perseverance will keep you from falling
Falling prey to the darkness of Defeat,
Defeat is a foe that laughs at Success
Success is right there for you to meet
Meet it with all that you have in you
You are the one who can always choose
Choose to be the best and always be true
True because you were not meant to lose
Lose not the goal set for you to be won
Won indeed to dry that crying eye
Eye on the winning for you are the one
One who gets going, gets running, aims high!

Listen To The Eight Track

(mick, Ive got a...)
There must be one million stories in new york city, the naked city, and this is one of em
I live out on the island, and I got problems
My mom dont like me, cause she says I know sultan(? )
Sitting in the cark park, in my old buick skylark
Getting high, getting high,
Getting high on the eight track
Oh, listen to the eight track
Oh, listen to the eight track
Oh, listen to the eight track
Oh, listen to the eight track
Oh it aint easy, when you gotta survive
Keep on giving death, just to survive
Oh get out into the car park, sitting in my own buick skylark in the dark
Oh, n Ill listen to the eight track
Oh, Ill listen to the eight track
Oh, listen to the eight track
Oh, listen to the eight track
Yeah, cant wind it back
Listen to the eight track
In between the seats, in the cracks
Listen to the eight track
Oh sometimes I get a woman in here
And I put on bruce springsteens new double album
And then, just when everythings getting hot
I start turning the volume right down low
Baby, let me snuggle right next to you
You turned to me sweetly, you know what she said,
She said, turn up the eight track
Oh listen to the eight track
Oh listen to the eight track, aint no winding it back
Listen to the eight track
Listen to the eight track
Listen to the eight track
There must have been about a million stories in new york city, the naked city, and this has been one of them!

There Is A Backlash Passing

There is a backlash passing,
As if an eclipse comes to uncover.
Revealing less of a tolerance,
For excuses made for clever maneuvers.

People no longer hesitate,
To express their impatience.
There is a rise of agitation.
And a venting of displeasures meant.

There is a backlash passing,
As if an eclipse comes to uncover.
Revealing less of a tolerance,
For excuses made for clever maneuvers.

People are awkening,
From a sleep that had deceived.
And a demand for answers once smothered up...
Are breaking from the ranks of a conformity.

It is the economy that is doing it.
And the people want it known,
They are aware and conscious...
From a duping done that left them in a stupor bummed.

Do Not Believe

Do not believe
Anything true
This east west
This birth death
This eating putting
This going coming
Do not believe
Anything anything.

Do not believe
There is sky
Do not believe
Birds fly
Animals cry
Do not believe
This defeat victory
This land this country
Here and there
You are not free.

Do not believe
Anything true
And you are not false
In this burning rows
There is no distinction
True false
And it is true
And it is false.

Be True To Your School

When some loud braggart tries to put me down
And says his school is great
I tell him right away
Now whats the matter buddy
Aint you heard of my school
Its number one in the state
So be true to your school now
Just like you would to your girl or guy
Be true to your school now
And let your colors fly
Be true to your school
I got a lettermans sweater
With a letter in front
I got for footbal and track
Im proud to where it now
When I cruise around
The other parts of the town
I got a decal in back
So be true to your school now
Just like you would to your girl or guy
Be true to your school now
And let your colors fly
Be true to your school
On friday well be jacked up on the football game
And Ill be ready to fight
Were gonna smash em now
My girl will be working on her pom-poms now
And shell be yelling tonight
So be true to your school now
Just like you would to your girl or guy
Be true to your school now
And let your colors fly
Be true to your school
Rah rah rah be true to your school
Rah rah rah be true to your school
Rah rah rah be true to your school
Rah rah rah be true to your school

Defeat

Defeat
Will kill you
If you let it
It is the No
Before you even try
A nagging fear
You can't let go
So you just sit there
And like baby -cry!

Defeat is a ghost
Fleeting mist that is not
You never count the cost
To fight it you work
On all that you got
Knock it off
Give it the best shot
Crush it on your feet
Defeat.

I never seek to defeat the man I am fighting, I seek to defeat his confidence. A mind troubled by doubt cannot focus on the course to victory. Two men are equals - true equals - only when they both have equal confidence.

Road racing at the moment because it's still so new to me. I like the fact that they are longer and teamwork is important. I guess the same is true for track, it's just that I have used track this year as a training device to improve my sprinting in road racing.

A Gibson Guitar

As I play the blues
on my Gibson guitar
it takes me back
to those train track blues

The heart and soul
of Slash and his crew
Les Paul and Gibson
the true train track blues
