Happiness is a pair of away stars
Happiness is a pair of away stars -
for those who stare behind bars.
When I decided to fly away free -
I was a shadow of a cypress tree.
Retention of nothingness, to edge
my honor lonely, a pointy wedge,
red spilled wine, in dark accord,
poem white - chalk on black board.
And there memories, now abstruse,
on aimless wander, one to peruse,
when thoughts became, a void loss,
dusk crossed lines, life to emboss.
My lovely melodies of a nightingale
modes diatonic, propose and fail,
a smile of marble, thinking benign,
extension of solitude, aimless sign.
Happiness is a pair of away stars
for those who stare behind bars;
When I decided to fly away free -
I was a shadow of a cypress tree.

Ode to the bird in the cypress tree
Ode to the bird in the cypress tree
~
I wish to be like the bird in the cypress tree
shaded from the heat of the midday sun
yet still free to ride upon the ocean breeze
whenever it chooses to blow from time to time
I wish to be like the bird in the cypress tree
and chirp my own little song aloud to the world
or to fly amongst the clouds so high above
and look down to watch the world below
I wish to be like the bird in the cypress tree
for all my wishes and day bought dreams
I am here and I am still me writing a poem
about that lucky bird perched in the cypress tree

A pair of Sparrows on my lovely Lemon Tree
Those were the days
So joyous and carefree
When I could watch the preening of
A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree
Summer days were so short, winters were so long
And for endless hours one could go on a kite flying spree
When I could watch, hopping here and there
A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree
Enjoying tender sunshine in winter is a past
And chapattis from an earthen hearth a history
When I could watch, assembling of a nest by
A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree
What seemed to be mundane at that time
Life in my backyard so ordinary
Bliss it is in hindsight, chirping of
A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree
I still sometimes motivate myself
To get off the treadmill and shake the shackles free
But can’t anymore find in my back yard
That pair of sparrows and that lovely lemon tree
A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree..
A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree.......

Ch 08 On Rules For Conduct In Life - Maxim 81
A sage was asked: ‘Of so many notable, high and fertile trees which God the most high has created, not one is called free, except the cypress, which bears no fruit. What is the reason of this?’ He replied: ‘Every tree has its appropriate season of fruit, so that it is sometimes flourishing therewith, and looks sometimes withered by its absence; with the cypress, however, neither is the case, it being fresh at all times, and this is the quality of those who are free.’
Place not thy heart on what passes away; for the Tigris
Will flow after the Khalifs have passed away in Baghdad.
If thou art able, be liberal like the date tree,
And if thy hand cannot afford it, be liberal like the cypress.
Aimless Lady
Aimless lady, is this your home town?
Tell me baby, tell me where youre bound.
When our eyes met, you were in the very first row.
I couldnt even guess your name, but I just had to know.
You were meant for me, would you grab your coat and flee?
You were a mystery, but you just had to be ...
An aimless lady.
Aimless lady.
Aimless lady.
Should I try, and satisfy, you lady?
Aint no lie, now well get by, my baby.
If you can stand, a real good man, now lady,
Take my hand, and understand, me baby.
Take your time, youre doing fine, now lady.
You got yours, and I got mine, now baby.
Can you see, the way to be, now lady.
Stay with me, and set me free, now baby.
Aimless lady.
Aimless lady.
Aimless lady.
Youre mine aimless lady.
Yeah, aimless lady.
Youre mine aimless lady.
Mine, aimless lady.
Oooo ...

A White Architect Of Light
8.8.88: She came back from the land of democrative destiny and dissolved
into the chaotic void.
Fighting for the freedom of reality
Building the light house in the darkest hours of life
Fixing up the spiritual essence through the existential nothingness

I Watch The Moon From My Maple Tree
As I watch the moon
So quietly
From high above
In my maple tree
I see the stars
That shine all night
They speak to me
Making sure I'm alright
My life is hard
But I'm ok
Watching the show
With nothing to say
As the moon and the stars
Dance the night away
I sit and stare
Like I can't in the day
When I'm up so high
I feel so free
Happy and safe
In my maple tree
The moon is the sun
That shines in the dark
I can see it from bed
Or from way in the park
It helps me a lot
The moon is my guide
And 'I love that old tree'
I queitly sighed

A search
I walk beneath the night sky.
Thoughts arising from gazing at stars are like aimless breeze,
Chasing an emptiness,
Where the world has lost it's horizon.
Time passes by.
The run since birth continues.
Happiness is still an illusion.
The wind is getting stronger around me.
The cloud is stealing the stars.
My mind is becoming stormy ocean.
Restless thoughts search for light in purpose of life.

Shadow Me
Shadow me oh my
Dark emotion.
Shadow me all the way!
Shadow me to rock
In cradle heart,
To sway and just to sway!
Shadow me as a
Shady love tree,
In my hot, scorching day!
Shadow me must in,
Middle of night,
Like a gleaming pure ray!
Shadow me, shadow,
My foggy love,
Shadow wild me to tame.
Shadow to follow
My every step,
Shadow me in each poem!

Untitled pieces III
Untitled pieces III
My feet hanging from the roof,
I sit staring at the sky,
Some stars twinkling far away,
The moon drowned in the dark,
The trees so silent-leaves motionless,
Strike a chord-the music begins!
I see my shadow evolve in the field,
Much longer - much darker than me,
Reminding me of those golden days,
Much shorter-much happier than today,
A joy in my heart-a bunch of friends,
Sang songs of life-brought life in life!
The breeze brings in a scent of solitude,
The silent trees have lulled the birds asleep,
The motionless leaves have hidden the fruits,
The faint moon has emptied the sky,
There is a void in the air,
As I reflect on my toy of thoughts.
Will I be lost like those fruits in the dark?
Will I be drowned like the moon in solitude?
Will I be silent like those trees?
Will I be motionless like those leaves?
The night is devilish bringing thoughts of end,
Like those twinkling stars passing into nothingness.

Fly For Free
A shimmering scarlet Sun is setting
Forever fading away, begetting
Sparkling silver stars to my sight
Winking wildly on this cloudless night.
You step outside, looking to the sky
Your arms outstretched, trying to fly
So I hoist you up high on strings
My angel without any wings
For someone so heavenly
Should be allowed to fly for free.
Such a happy life follows me
When you are all that I see.
Your heart will never stall
With me you’ll never fall.
Do you see why
I search the sky?
With dreams deep in your eyes
Cast aside all the wherefores and whys
Be showered with petals of flowers
Hearts bonded by affectionate showers.
Open your arms wide to me
A ticket to heaven I guarantee
I will make a stairwell of stars
With moonbeam banister bars
By shaking the sidereal leaf tree
Stellar steps allow you to fly for free.
The stratosphere soaks my skin
Air lifting my spirits within.
You thrill the tranquil
So life never stands still.
Do you see why
I search the sky?
Slumbering stars become a shadow
Trying to eclipse the Sun’s amber glow.
The day has only just begun
But we look for mischief and fun.
Many smiles come from prank’s disaster
So much hot air from our laughter
From being such fools and buffoons
Filling ourselves like helium balloons
Until we ascend with grinning glee
Floating on sunwaves to fly for free.
Set afloat on cloud nine praise,
In the sky our souls liaise.
Only you can pull my smile
Until I look somewhat senile.
Do you see why
I search the sky?

Regal Pair
The lion and the lioness
Posed like a regal pair,
So noble that they both impress,
So dashing, debonair...
So stately and so statuesque,
Each blessed to be born free,
So quite correct and picturesque
With awesome majesty...
Their eyes are like black diamonds there,
In circles made of gold
And who knows what those eyes could share,
If secrets should be told?
Yet those eyes see much more than land,
Their kingdom they survey
And their domain is mighty grand,
Protected night and day...
So have a care, don't wander near,
Don't think they welcome friends,
Don't stand too close, you'll shake with fear,
Perhaps with no defence...
Binoculars may have to do,
If you must stop and stare...
To tell the truth, I can't blame you...
They're such a regal pair...

Riding With Cats Eyes Nine Lives
riding with cats eyes nine lives
riding in dark or moonlight
riding in cloud shadow or rain
riding with a lucky stars roll
riding at speed in night magic
hitting judder bars in darkness
hitting judder bars hard fast
hitting judder bars all alone
hitting judder bars straight on
hitting judder bars at speed
is heightened airborne rush
is riding racing death in night
is riding in night fed wonder
is heightened seconds flying
is ready road rocket launch pad

Naturally Superior
An ancient Cypress tree still stands
Beside a ruined monument.
Outlasts the works of human hands.
Nothing man made is permanent.
The tree is self sufficient.
It needs no other maintenance.
Apart from the nourishment.
The soil provides and rains enhance.
The builders of the monument.
Erected by them to impress
Are long since dead that's evident.
Outlasted by this grand Cypress.
The ancient tree's content to be.
Just what it is a simple tree.

As the Pine Cypress tree would say
I want to be like the Cassia tree-
The Cassia tree by the river side
I want to be like the Cassia tree
firmly rooted in the soil inside
so when the winds play its tune of tempest
I will sway left and right as it would have me sway
Sway and not break or lose a footing
as the pine cypress tree would say
I want to be like the Cassia tree-
The Cassia tree by the riverside
I want to be like the Cassia tree
firmly rooted in the soil inside
so when the clouds gather and dress the sky in
dark clothing, for the ritual of the rain
I will stand its pour to the rage of the thunder
Stand and not break or lose a footing
as the pine cypress tree would say
The Tree In The Field
Perhaps it was a dream,
that ripped Reality's seam,
on that day I saw the tree,
alone in a green sea.
Years washed over it,
the world its roots bit,
yet still that tree lives,
till to it my life I give.
We would watch my old friend,
under a black sky with no end,
where the stars would smile bright,
and life didn't seem so trite.
But everyone dies I guess,
and I am something less
than the sylvan Keeper
of memories of a world gone deeper.
As the glory of the stars arises,
no longer will there be surprises,
for my tomb has been set,
under the Tree With No Regret.
Where the waves once foamed,
and the horses once roamed,
there is only ashes,
unmarred by Sadness' slashes.
Perhaps its only a dream,
to be buried by the stream
of roots filled with knowledge
of when Death falls off the edge.

Steel Eyes
I fix my eyes on lives of steel,
Stoning the devils and demons instead;
I fix the pair of ears, after deafness
Obliterates the experience of the soul.
For I pray unto the Lord
Who answers my request if I love.
The eyes of a demon cast their stare
On the wondering faces of fear and fascination.
I do not know the reason why they touch
The loves of a man and woman in matrimony.
The living stare casts a shadow of thought
On the bliss of these two carers,
The couple of delicious doves,
A wonderful pair of prodigies in the inner
Soul, the soul that inhabited the heart
Since time immense.

walking with Vincent: an imaginary dialogue with van Gogh
prelude
it is the time, the natural occasion
of an orchard with the flowers on apricot trees
uninhibited, and flowing and easy coming
smooth as water and quiet as deep sleep;
the dance of children in free, untutored movement
a blossoming of trees in disinterested fullness
the stranger speaks
like an aimless wanderer, an un-liked gypsy
like a vagrant, shunned, moving and unkempt
like the pale knight of Keats’s ballad -
O Vincent,
you walk alone in these orchards;
and with only canvas and brushes and paint
and what little food you can carry
you stop in the embracing shade
or below a peach tree
as if to answer to a blade of grass
and then you continue, your eyes in the distance:
O how did it come thus to be alone, Vincent;
how did things bring you to isolation
to lonely journeys?
the painter replies
I walk alone, dear friend,
sometimes by choice
perhaps mostly being avoided
but it is never lonely in the fields
or in the orchards
for there is such gaiety in the grass and the blossoms
for there is such power in the lone tree that bursts into life;
it is with many I walk here
but never crowded;
it is never lonely, dear friend,
for the trees and the grass
and the light and the clouds and the birds and shapes and forms
keep me company always;
and so I wander seemingly aimless
and the creative spirit lets me happily live on its palms

Mystery Lady
A secret now revealed,
Mystery Lady, her face unveiled.
Standing in the dark shadow,
Lovely lilac eye shadow,
A pair of luminous blue eyes,
Is now truly undisguised.
Break Free
Spiked by needles, veins at thrash - They want to break free just for one day - Demons which stalks, the matter is none, where and to i walk - Poisoned by the grey of a shadow - I feel them even when the wind blows - As my darkness breaks, i will never be the set - The one which includes free, as the leaves presented by a tree - Fear i do, when i stare to the sky - Forgiveness will not rain my way - The day of death will begin when i die

The Game of Stare
There’s a boy with his fellow
I caught his eyes with a wander
Now the game has been played
Now you have been challenged
You better asked my name
Before anyone came
But you only stare, stare, stare
Like I annoy your safety ring
Like you can’t even think
You only stare, stare, stare
Like I lose you something
Something you can’t even win
There’s boy in the dance floor
I catch his eyes, he comes closer
Now the game is replayed
Now you better watch out
You better take me out
Before someone calls you coward
Cause you only stare, stare, stare
Like you never see me in dress
Like no one else who dares
You only stare, stare, stare
Like I steal you something
Something you can’t even think
There’s a boy in the park
He makes me catch his eyes
Now the game is forward
Now you don’t want to break up
You better have a word
Before you loose your hold
And you only stare, stare, stare
Like a puppy wants a bone
Like you’ll be lost if I’m gone
You only stare, stare, stare
Like I can give you something
Something you think you can’t win
