When the sun goes down late in the afternoon (anaphora poem)
When late in the afternoon the sun hangs just above the trees and hillocks,
I think that you must experience the colours of the clouds yourself
I think that it would be pretty in a landscape painting,
I think that this dusk brings a silence, that it’s lonely without you,
I think that you are late, are maybe still working, or have got some other plans
I think that the gathering clouds will catch you with rain,
I think that the doves tomorrow evening will also be in love and coo like this,
I think that the jasmine and lavender tomorrow evening will also fill the air.
I think I will dream of branches that hit from the wind on the roof,
I think that maybe tomorrow I will see you for the last time.

Tomorrow,tomorrow.when tomorrow comes,
Then Ill stop loving you,tomorrow.

Tomorrow
Tomorrow
~
I’m always told to wait
That tomorrow it may come
To find me when I am lost
When my faith is spent
And I feel at my most afraid
Only tomorrow never comes
And I am alone each night
Counting stars and clouds
Counting my time away
Hoping tomorrow will come
When the sun rises in the sky
And the world is the same
I say the old tired worn line
Tomorrow is not today
Tomorrow never comes anyway
So while I’m waiting
What is there for me
That I keep getting told
Tomorrow, tomorrow it will come
Only tomorrow never comes

We've Got Tonight
I know it's late
I know you're weary
I know your plans don't include me
still here we are
both of us lonely
longing for shelter
from all that we see
why should we worry
no one'll care
look at the stars
so far away
we've got tonight
who needs tomorrow
we've got tonight babe
why don't you stay
deep in my soul
I've been so lonely
all of my hopes
fading away
I've long for love
like everyone else does
but I may stop searching
after today
so there it is, girl
I've said it all now
and here we are
what do you say
we've got tonight
who needs tomorrow
we've got tonight babe
why don't you stay
I know it's late
I know you're weary
I know your plans don't include me
still here we are
both of us lonely
both of us lonely
we got tonight
who needs tomorrow
let's make it last
let's find away
turn out the light
come take my hand now
we got tonight babe
why don't you stay

Tomorrow
Tomorrow it is
Tomorrow we will
See where the roads they lead
Tomorrow's my dream
Tomorrow's the better me
Tomorrow never may be
Looking inside tomorrow's head
Tomorrow pretends to be brain dead
Tomorrow wants me to long for him
I spend today seeing tomorrow's beam
Tomorrow is there
Yesterday's tomorrow is here
Yet tomorrow I seek
My lamp's got enough oil and wick
Tomorrow where are you?
I've seen today but I look out for tomorrow's dew
Not today, I'll take care of that tomorrow
Tomorrow I'm here, tomorrow you're today
From 5years old, I'm 50years old one more day
The hour-glass spins and sands they turn
The clock it ticks, the second-hand warns
Tomorrow is today gone
What have you done? .

Love Of The Common Man
Ive been burned in my prime
The simple things in life
Seem so hard to learn sometimes
And it takes so long
Catch it while you can
Too late tomorrow
And everyone
Said we all know what comes of that
Living in your pockets and talking through your hat
But it wont take long
To turn your head around
Too late tomorrow
cause everyone needs the love of the common man
Turn the world around
Too late tomorrow
cause everyone
Everyone is waiting, just anticipating on you
Wont you make a showing everybody knows what to do
Take a dive from your ivory tower
And fall on everyone will catch you, everyone
I would be so pleased to spend some time
To hear a little talk about whats been on your mind
cause it dont take long
To turn my head around
If it comes easy
cause everyone needs the love of the common man
Turn the world around
Too late tomorrow
cause everyone

Tomorrow
(c. strousse/m. charmin)
The sun will come out, tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow, therell be sun
Jus thinkin about, tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow
til theres none
When Im stuck with the day thats gray and lonely
I just stick out my chin and grin and say, ohhh
The sun will come out, tomorrow
So you gotta hang on til tomorrow
Come what may...
Chorus:
Tomorrow, tomorrow
I love ya, tomorrow
Youre always a day away
(instrumental)
The sun will come out, tomorrow
So you gotta hang on til tomorrow
Come what may...
(repeat chorus)
Tomorrow, tomorrow
I love ya, tomorrow
Youre always a day a--way!

Make Tomorrow
Put on the dress in which you were married
Pull down the veil til your eyes are hid
Can you remember where we both came from
Let us do as we did
Look at tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Put back the photo under your window
Put down the phone that you hold in your hand
Put away these things that stand in between us
Let us be what we can
When it seems
Hopeless
When it seems
Hopeless
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
What better measure of what you were doing here
Then what you can leave behind
All the children of your children's children
Do you ever think what they're going to find
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Where the sacred meet the scared
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Where the dreamer's dream is dared
In each of us
A dream can burn like the sun
Let's try it all one more time
To get this lesson learned
Sitting up in a spaceship
Looking down at the earth
You wonder what they all stuggling for
What's it all really worth
Making tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow

Absoluteless
tomorrow you might wake up in prison or
tomorrow you might have the most amazing orgasm of your life
or tomorrow you might be hit by a semi crossing the street or
tomorrow you might find out your significant other is cheating on you
or tomorrow you might win the lottery or
tomorrow you might get robbed & beat within an inch of your life while you are asleep
or tomorrow you might get hired to work your dream job or
tomorrow you might meet the match to blurt out all other romantic inquiries
or tomorrow you might find out you have a debilitating disease or
tomorrow you might get in a car that runs out of gas & have to walk all the way home
or tomorrow you might travel to your most sought out destination or
tomorrow you might finish your novel
or tomorrow you might win a marathon or
tomorrow you might have a heart attack
or tomorrow you might graduate with a doctorate degree or
tomorrow you might move to your favorite city
or tomorrow you might fall in love again or
tomorrow you might get a drug habit
or tomorrow you might get audited by the IRS or
tomorrow you might get sick of reading this piece
or tomorrow you might stop reading & curse the time spent
having done so.

Take Me To Tomorrow
This song was first released on the take me to tomorrow album. it is the only album it has been released on.
Hey everybody, tell me how do you feel
Are you satisfied with your life
Do you think its real
Tell me how is your head
What are your dreams
Do you have any plans
Do you have any schemes
Do you care about - about anybody
Id like to know
Is the answer no
Take me to tomorrow
Take me there today
Ive had my fill of sorrow and living this way
Take me to tomorrow
Thats where Id like to be
The day after tomorrow is waiting for me
Hey everybody, whats on your mind
Do you think theres nowhere else to go
Theres nothing left to find
Are you happy where you are
Do you have anything to share
Do you think youre going to waste your life
Spending it there
Would you like to find a way out
Do think its worth a try
Id like to know
Is the answer no well maybe so
Take me to tomorrow
Take me there today
Ive had my fill of sorrow and living this way
Take me to tomorrow
Thats where Id like to be
The day after tomorrow is waiting for me
Take me to tomorrow
Take me there today
Ive had my fill of sorrow and living your way
Take me to tomorrow
Thats where Id like to be
The day after tomorrow is waiting
The day after tomorrow is waiting
The day after tomorrow is waiting for me

Tomorrow Is Now
Tomorrow is... tomorrow is now
You think the past is behind you
But baby whats that on your back
It looks to me like youre draggin it around
Like a heavy pack
Now we dont live in the present
Were to busy hangin on
To whats been and gone so it comes again
Singin the same old song
Singin na na-na na na
Let it go oh oh
Tomorrow is... tomorrow is now
Tomorrow is... tomorrow is now
What are you going to ask for
What are you going to create
Its in you hands to build your own world
Forget about fate
And I dont need to remind you
Life is short and life is sweet
And before you even know it
Past and future gonna meet
Oh, every day and every way
Good to go oh oh
Tomorrow is... tomorrow is now
Tomorrow is... tomorrow is now
Tomorrow is... tomorrow is now
Tomorrow is... tomorrow is now
Not much to say
Its all been said, anyway
Not much to think about
Just let go of yesterday
Singin na na-na na na
Singin na na-na na na
Let it go oh oh
Tomorrow is... tomorrow is now
Tomorrow is... tomorrow is now
Tomorrow is... tomorrow is now
Tomorrow is... tomorrow is now

Gold Clouds
As the wind goes on to its own stream
In the gold clouds of tomorrow rising
Like a summer of flowers gold sunbeam
Those from a fantasy world are actualizing
With flow in the evening rays
As the wind goes on to its own stream
And everything is in its twilight’s dream
When glow of the evening plays
With every agleam that as arisen your mind
In the flickering clouds dancing high
When those moments of days are left behind
In the night falling beyond starry sky
And the night fills with dark allays

After All Is Said And Done
I thought that you were working late
But that was when I made my first mistake
As you walk into the hall and sort all the clothes upon the floor
It was too late
She said she didn't understand
And then she cried she took the ring from off her hand
Then I knew it was over as she turned to me and said
Our love is dead
After all is said and done
Knowing I'll be only one
Till I head it out going out of the way
All alone under the sun
Baby come tomorrow
Are we moving on?
I know what I did was wrong
But you don't know what you've got until it's gone
If there were something I could say to you to make you change your mind
You know I'll try
After all is said and done
Knowing I'll be only one
Till I head it out going out of the way
All alone under the sun
Baby come tomorrow
I'm not to live without you
Baby come tomorrow
Cause all I got is here with now
But all I wanna live without
After all is said and done
Knowing I'll be only one
Till I head it out going out of the way
All alone under the sun
Baby come tomorrow
Baby come tomorrow
Baby come tomorrow
Are we moving on?

I Dont Want To See Tomorrow
(wayne/morris)
(I dont want to see tomorrow,
Unless I see it with you.)
Tomorrow, so they say
Will be a lovely day,
A bright new sun will suddenly break through,
But I dont want to see tomorrow,
Unless I see it with you.
Tomorrow, so I hear
The clouds will disappear,
The door to happiness will open wide.
But I dont want to see tomorrow,
Unless youre there by my side.
Dont want to walk alone,
Dont want to dream alone,
Just want you close to my heart.
For if your love is gone,
How can I face the dawn of
Sunday, or monday?
I just cant face one day...
Until you say youre mine,
Oh, darling, please be mine
And make each bright tomorrow young and new.
But I dont want to face tomorrow
Unless I see it with you.
(tomorrow, so I hear
The clouds will disappear,
The door to happiness will open wide.)
But I dont want to see tomorrow,
Unless I see it with you.

Tomorrow Never Comes
(words & music by ernest tubb - johnny bond)
Oh you tell me that you love me
Yes you tell me that you care
That tomorrow well be married, oh
But tomorrows never there
Oh tomorrow never, never comes
Oh tomorrow never comes
Now you tell me that you love me, oh
But tomorrow never comes
Many weeks now have I waited
Oh many long nights have I cried
But just to see that happy morning, happy morning
When I have you right by my side
But tomorrow will never come, oh no, no
Tomorrow never gonna come
Now you tell me that you love me
But tomorrow never, never comes
So tomorrow Ill be leaving
Yes tomorrow Ill be gone
But tomorrow youll be weeping, oh
But tomorrow will never, never come
Well tomorrow will never, never come
Oh no, tomorrow aint never gonna come
Yeah, yeah, you tell me, you tell me
That you love me, but tomorrow never comes

Just Today?
Just today, can I dream a little?
Just today, can we pretend we are in love?
Just today, can I wish a little?
Just today, can my wish come true?
And you write, and you dream
And every time you talk, I wish it was me
But you think, you think for her
And I don't kno her but she is really pretty for sure
And her smile perfect it must be,
You see it once, and more u want to see
And her presence,
Is her presence more fun than mine?
Do u call her your sunshine?
And trust me, I really wish for you
I wish, she will fall in love with you too
Just not today, but starting tomorrow
because tomorrow-
Tomorrow I will stop wishing & dreaming,
Tomorrow I will go back to being myself,
Tomorrow I will take it back, all this pain
Tomorrow we will go back to being strangers again!
But just today,
Can we be more than what we were?
Just today can I be more than her?

After Rain
After Rain
The audacious sun finally showed up, and green
was the winter landscape. I also saw where the sun sets,
just behind the old carob oak, where the almond trees
first blossom. Soundly and snug under a carpet of wild
flowers the sun snoozes till dawn.
Over the easterly range, which is the first defense against
Spanish marauders and the rain on its plain, the clouds
were dark blue, perhaps more rain tomorrow?
In fading light musical notes danced down a phone line,
the first flirt of spring? And should it rain tomorrow,
I will not be downhearted this day will keep me warm for
a week or so.

Evening Time
The evening sun hid itself among the dusty clouds
as it surrendered to the gloom of the crimson sky.
The birds tweeted their melodious chorus as trees danced by
to the whistle of gusty chilled wind.
Now must I retire to a perfect abide
and be ten thousand times free from the day's troubled burdens
reflecting on the promise tomorrow's new day brings.

Evening Rain
I can't stand to see the morning come
While the evening rain's still falling
I can't stand to see the morning come
While the evening rain's still falling
I can't stand to see the morning come
While the evening rain's still falling
Like the day
Saw the same
All the problems
I follow
I run away
Saw the plane
The grey life
Tomorrow
But I can't stand to see the morning come
While the evening rain's still falling
But I can't stand to see the morning come
While the evening rain's still falling
I close my eyes
It doesn't work
I can hear tomorrow
I can't stand to see the morning come
While the evening rain's still falling
I can't stand to see the morning come
While the evening rain's still falling
I can't stand to see the morning come
While the evening rain's still falling
