When Eden faded away into memory

When Eden faded away into memory,
the big beautiful trees,
the lovely grass
and pets all
came to a end.

Adam cast his eyes
up to the blue sky
and rain lashed down
and lightning roared.

He swam through a river
and suddenly piranhas nibbled at him.
lions, tigers and wolves
appeared as if out of nowhere
and roared and howled
and attacked scratching and biting.

Poisonous snakes
crawled hissing from rocks
and plants and grass.

Yet, Eve was just as lovely
as the first time,
that he laid eyes on her.
At times she cried
and sometimes she sang
and he went to discover,
what a wonderful place
the world was with her on his side.

Lovely One

Lovely one,
Just as on the cool stone
Of the spring, the water
Opens a wide flash of foam,
So is the smile of your face,
Lovely one.

Lovely one,
With delicate hands and slender feet
Like a silver pony,
Walking, flower of the world,
Thus I see you,
Lovely one.

Lovely one,
With a nest of copper entangled
On your head, a nest
The coloUr of dark honey
Where my heart burns and rests,
Lovely one.

Lovely one,
Your eyes are too big for your face,
Your eyes are too big for the earth.

There are countries, there are rivers,
In your eyes,
My country is your eyes,
I walk through them,
They light the world
Through which I walk,
Lovely one.

Lovely one,
Your breasts are like two loaves made
Of grainy earth and golden moon,
Lovely one.

Lovely one,
Your waist,
My arm shaped it like a river when
It flowed a thousand years through your sweet body,
Lovely one.

Lovely one,
There is nothing like your hips,
Perhaps earth has
In some hidden place
The curve and the fragrance of your body,
Perhaps in some place,
Lovely one.

Lovely one, my lovely one,
Your voice, your skin, your nails,
Lovely one, my lovely one,
Your being, your light, your shadow,
Lovely one,
All that is mine, lovely one,
All that is mine, my dear,
When you walk or rest,
When you sing or sleep,
When you suffer or dream,
Always,
When you are near or far,
Always,
You are mine, my lovely one,
Always.

Rain To Beautiful Colors

Rain thousands of drops falling
Like tears of sadness
Showering down like grains of salt being poured
Or the sands of an hour glass
The grass, dirt and plants desire it
People we dismiss it with hatred
Fills our river, creeks and lakes
Makes a muddy mess in our houses
We sing songs to make come and go
The smell of fresh rain is fishy
But a pleasant scent later on
The brown plants turn to green
The rain and the sun makes them grow
Thunder rolls thru the sky like bowling alleys
The lighting give a beautiful light show, sometimes scary
But we all watch it from inside
Storms move quickly, some violent a lot not
We watch big eyes like children in a candy storm
Rain comes and goes, but the world needs its so
Why do we hate it so much,
To make our day gloomy and gray
When really its colorful and beautiful
The big rainbow that is in the sky
Beautiful rain bring lovely colors of life

In my heart, in my heart
You want some lovely, i got some lovely
I've got some lovely in my head, in my head
Where the lions, wear the right eye,
Where the jems (?) roar, there be lovely
You want some lovely, i got some lovely
In my bed, in my bed
Where the ocean wears the shore down
Where's the on switch?
There be lovely laying waiting naked for you
(chorus)
We can play every day
We can play at being lovers
We can play every day
We can play on my brown guitar
(repeat chorus)
You want some lovely, i got some lovely
In my yard, in my yard
There be inchworm, there be footlong
There be yardstick stir some lovely
Laying waiting naked for you
You want some lovely, i got some lovely

Snakes In The Grass

Snakes in the grass
sliding and slithering
furtively so slow,
can attack so quickly
but at least you know.
The real snakes in the grass
sidling and creeping
slowly so you won't see,
approach from out of nowhere
lest they be
noticed at all.
They watch the fall
then slither away
and take it all,
your peace, your harmony,
your way of existing
as they are co-existing
right in your sight.
These are the snakes
that speak with forked tongue
to our innocent ones, oh so young.
They coerce them like the
serpent in Eden.
So our youth
can't ever stop the bleedin'.
For snakes in the grass
are leading the way
with everything false
into moral decay.
How do we stop these
snakes in the grass?
They've been around
since time's begun.
We must turn a deaf ear
to every last one.

Forget-Me-Not

A gallant knight and his betroth'd bride,
Were walking one day by a river side,
They talk'd of love, and they talk'd of war,
And how very foolish lovers are.

At length the bride to the knight did say,
'There have been many young ladies led astray
By believing in all their lovers said,
And you are false to me I am afraid.'

'No, Ellen, I was never false to thee,
I never gave thee cause to doubt me;
I have always lov'd thee and do still,
And no other woman your place shall fill.'

'Dear Edwin, it may be true, but I am in doubt,
But there's some beautiful flowers here about,
Growing on the other side of the river,
But how to get one, I cannot discover.'

'Dear Ellen, they seem beautiful indeed,
But of them, dear, take no heed;
Because they are on the other side,
Besides, the river is deep and wide.'

'Dear Edwin, as I doubt your love to be untrue,
I ask one favour now from you:
Go! fetch me a flower from across the river,
Which will prove you love me more than ever.'

'Dear Ellen! I will try and fetch you a flower
If it lies within my power
To prove that I am true to you,
And what more can your Edwin do?'

So he leap'd into the river wide,
And swam across to the other side,
To fetch a flower for his young bride,
Who watched him eagerly on the other side.

So he pluck'd a flower right merrily
Which seemed to fill his heart with glee,
That it would please his lovely bride;
But, alas! he never got to the other side.

For when he tried to swim across,
All power of his body he did loss,
But before he sank in the river wide,
He flung the flowers to his lovely bride.

And he cried, 'Oh, heaven! hard is my lot,
My dearest Ellen! Forget me not:
For I was ever true to you,
My dearest Ellen! I bid thee adieu!'

Then she wrung her hands in wild despair,
Until her cries did rend the air;
And she cried, 'Edwin, dear, hard is out lot,
But I'll name this flower Forget-me-not.

'And I'll remember thee while I live,
And to no other man my hand I'll give,
And I will place my affection on this little flower,
And it will solace me in a lonely hour.'

Rain

Rain brings sadness I can’t smile.
Like a tear flow from my eyes.
Just like blue songs
that hurting me deep inside

Rain reminds about the past
like a shadow come and go through
some are joy and others not
maybe laughter, but it was sad

suddenly, no more days to be fun.
No hearts bloom and to be glad
Verdant colors turns into gray

Good times had been faded away
what is left? And you feel bad
Rain make me feel lonely.
When the days will get lovely?

Mousetrap

Once upon a time
in the beautiful surroundings
people lived happily.
No fences, trees
laden with fruits,
birds and butterflies
sing together,
river flows to that tune.
Sun also very calm
Moon in her turbulence.
Lions and Tigers
visited to human problems.
What a lovely harmonious stone age?
Barbarous modern man changed.
He has forgotten the Ape and started barbecue.

I Used To Be Color Blind

Strange
How a dreary world can suddenly change
To a world as bright as the evening star
Queer
What a difference when your vision is clear
And you see things as they really are
I used to be color-blind
But I met you and now I find
Theres green in the grass
Theres gold in the moon
Theres blue in the skies
That semi-circle that was always hanging about
Is not a storm cloud, its a rainbow
And you brought the colors out
Believe me its really true
Till I met you I never knew
A setting sun could paint such beautiful skies
I never knew there were such lovely colors
And the big surprise
Is the red in your cheeks
The gold in your hair
The blue in your eyes

Missing those old times

moon
sun stars
clouds
trees
seas lakes
hills

are these all
that you can say?

there are those that
must be given: light, mist, waves,
depths, rolling
green
hanging cottons

we sometimes need to feel
what movements they have
drifting, wavering,
dive, thunder, lightning
softness of blue
softness of silk,
coldness of rain

and then let us move somewhere
into hands holding
our bodies side by side
against the coldness of the
ground and rocks

it is the intimacy that we lack
the sticky wetness
that we have forgotten
the entanglement of
lovely thoughts
the odor of dreams
the sweetness of our tongues
bones and cartilage
cinnamon and vanilla
sauce and pineapples
sugar and salt and the bitterness
of some herbs
all these ingredients
of life
they all make us whole again

not just stars and sun and moon
and sky

it is when we lie on the grass again
to see the maps of stars

Daffodil Lament

Holding on thats what I do
Since I met you
And it wont be long, would you notice
If I left you
And its fine for some
Cause youre not the one,
All night long, I laid on my pillow
These things are wrong
I cant sleep here
So lonely, so lonely
I have decided to leave you forever
I have decided to start things from here
Thunder and lightning wont change
What Im feeling
And the daffodils look lovely today
Ol in your eyes I can see the disguise
Ol in your eyes I can see the dismay
Has anyone seen lightning
Has anyone looked lovely
And the daffodils looked lovely today
Looked lovely

The Grass-flower

For years I have been walking
On the familiar
And not-so-familiar
Paths of the city.

The hissing of the
High-tech automobiles,
The rustle of the brisk feet
On the cemented pavements,
The whispers of walkers and
The whistles of the traffic police
Independent of the honking of
Speeding vehicles pierce my ears
And the extra-redness of the gulmohar
From the side-walks hits my eyes.

Over the years
Perhaps I have not cared
To discover you,
My pretty grass-flower,
I now suddenly behold
You, in full-bloom
At a season-less time
Right at my backyard.

As time changes its shade,
Dusty and sweaty days
Get fossilized into
Unidentified pages of history
And starry and lonely nights
Evaporate together
With the morning dew-drops.

You, my miniature grass-flower
Metamorphose yourself before my eyes
Into the significant dimension
Of Krishna’s cosmic image,
Full of ethereal magnificence
And earthly fragrance.

You pervade the vastness
Of my world, my sky, my dream
In a helpless moment.

Lovely,
As we all are friends!
And no politicians and henchmen?

All live in the safe jungle as one family?
And vegetarians all eat only grass!
No restrictions, Embargoes, currencies and taboos
Religion is strictly prohibited
So no more cruel Wars?
No barriers, barbed-wire fences and law enforcement?
No unnecessary taxes and prostitution

Our little hillock

When I was but a boy
not going to school yet,
my brother and I
climbed the rocks
of a green hillock

found our own little cavern
hidden behind some creeping green bushes
and the earth, blue sky,
the sun and rain
were our playmates

and with small catapults
we could let stones fly
like whizzing bullets
hitting anything that we found

and we were kings of that hill
sending baboons back on their way
and that farm was a boy’s dream,
and we were catching
yellow fish and carp from the stream

and at times we were just as wild
as our world
making lions leap yellow and wild
from our eyes
which roared thunder clapping in rage

when the neighbouring boys
ganged up on us
wanting to take our little hill
and stones would fly to and thro
missiles of clay whipped
from willow canes
and our little knoll would stay our own.

Mowing

There was not a sound
but that of the machine
that howl against the sky
and magically sheared the grass
from where it grew.

No bushes of grass, or even weeds
could keep its length
when that yellow long necked
Weedeater appeared.

Grass, weeds and stems
were scattered everywhere
and underneath, with the smell
of mown grass in the air
a beautiful lawn appeared.

Flora's Secret

Lovers in the long grass
look above them
only they can see
where the clouds are going
only to discover
dust and sunlight
ever make the sky so blue
Afternoon is hazy
river flowing
all around the sounds
moving closer to them
telling them the story
told by flora
dreams they never knew

Silver willows
tears from Persia
those who come
from a far-off island
winter Chanterelle lies
under cover
Glory-of-the-sun in blue

Some they know as passion
some as freedom
some they know as love
and the way it leaves them
summer snowflake
for a season
when the sky above is blue
when the sky above is blue
Lying in the long grass
close beside her
giving her the name
of the one the moon loves
this will be the day she
will remember
when she knew his heart
was
loving in the long grass
close beside her
whispering of love
and the way it leaves them
lying in the long grass
in the sunlight
they believe it's true love
and from all around them
flora's secret
telling them of love
and the way it breathes
and
looking up from eyes of
amaranthine
they can see the sky
is blue
knowing that their love
is true
dreams they never knew
and the sky above is blue

Rain Drops

Here comes the grey clouds
rolling in,
Spreading rain all over the
town.

Rain drops help to moisten
the earth's beautiful green
grass.

Sidewalks once dusty are
washed and cleaned.

Rivers and lakes are given
plenty more water.

Fishes swim around happy
beneath the rain drops,
creating millions of ripples
upon the water.

Flowers and plants no longer
Thirst,
Even trees and bushes seem
to dance after a good drink
of water,
Animals get their fill of
water too.

Just Like a shower,
Rain drops clean and
cleanse everything,
Leaving the earth refreshed
and renewed.

After the storm has passed,
The sun shines spreading its
warmth.

Rain drops that are left behind
on Flowers, plants, trees and
grass,
It is like heaven for many insects
to fill their thirsty little
mouths.

Without clouds we would have no
rain drops,
Without rain drops everything would
never be the same.
