The dread god

When the dread god
rode to war
on his flaming chariot
and went right through the stars
and tried to take
the other angels with him,

he wanted to rise above
the Most High
and establish his throne
above the only God,
but fell out of the heaven
like a lightning bolt from the sky
and were smitten down
on to the earth.

The book sealed with seven seals

I had a dream that I heard the voices
of uncountable angels, beings
and elders around the throne of the Almighty One
proclaiming that the lamb that was slain is worthy.
Their appearance was blindingly bright,
but the radiance of the Almighty God on His throne
and of His Son was so intense
that it wanted to burn my eyes
and I stood back
and the hour work started to ring off the last strikes.

When the Son of God
who died on the cross
opened the book that only He can,
He took the book
with His nail marked hands
and broke the first seal.
A being spoke with a voice
sounding like thunder: Come and look!
A white horse appeared
and the rider of it had a crown
and a bow en rode out to conquer
and the hour work started to ring off the last strikes.

A second being talking with lightning
that strikes out said: Come look!
When the Lamb broke the second seal
the head of a flaming red horse appeared
and the rider took a big sword,
to cause nobody to have peace
and the hour work started to ring off the last strikes.

A third being let thunder reverberate
come and look!
When the Son of man
reached His hand to the third seal
there was a pitch-black horse
and the rider took a scale in his hand
and a mighty voice said:
a measure of wheat for a coin
three measures of barley for a coin
and do not harm
the oil and wine
and the hour work started to ring off the last strikes.

A fourth being’s voice carried blue thunder sparks
when he said: come look!
When the Son that is God
opened the fourth seal there was a grey horse
and the rider was death and he rode away,
to kill a forth of the earth
and the weapons that he carried
were a sword, famine, incurable diseases
and ravaging animals
and the hour work started to ring off the last strikes.

Four riders past
and I wondered
what will be left of the world
and the people on it?

When the Messiah opened the fifth seal
the souls of the holy ones
under the altar,
who died for His word
as witnesses of Jesus Christ
with a mighty voice called out:
how long holy and true Ruler
before You judge our blood
on the people on earth?
To them was said
to wait a while more,
for others to fill their numbers
and the hour work started to ring off the last strikes.

When Christ opened the sixth seal
places on earth started shaking,
the sun was dark
and disappeared for a time,
the moon was red like blood
and the stars fell from the sky
and draw bright lines
as far as they fell
and I knew that I
was living in the last days
and the hour work started to ring off the last strikes.

l’Envoi
Today I wonder where I stand
in all of these things,
while shots of war
are roaring
and everyone lives only for himself,
and the might of God
falls on the earth
and the hour of His anger
almost touch the horizon
and the hour work has only minutes left.

Where Is Heaven

My daughter asked me: daddy where is heaven?
I thought about this very carefully
asking myself the same question.
Then the answer came into my mind
Like a bolt of lightning.

Heaven is god, and god is heaven.
When we commit ourselves to god, body and soul
Then we are in heaven, because heaven is in us.
Yet when we fail to see what is in front of us
And what’s in our hearts, that’s when we are blind.

For god is in our hearts, and heaven is god.
Just look around at all that he has created
Then look into your heart and
see the beauties inside and out.

Why would god create the universe and the world
And not have created a heaven within us.
We are gods most beautiful creation
And he gave us his only begotten son
To show us the way to heaven.

Now many say that heaven is in infinity
and infinity has no beginning and no end.
and hell is here on earth, and some say it’s below the earth.
Now it is hard to believe that god
would make this beautiful earth as hell.
And if it was under the earth, where is the fire and brimstone
When we dig so deep into the earth searching for oil.

Heaven is in our love for god while on this earth
Then we go to his kingdom in his total heart
Where it is infinite.

This is where I see heaven my daughter.
It’s in all of us who believe in god.

My Babies gone to soon

A moment you were in Mummy's tummy
But you weren't to stay long.
God needed two new Angels to be in Heaven
He decided you my babies should never no,
the pain of this earth.
To heaven you went your tiny feet,
never got to touch the ground.

A moment you were with Mummy
Swiftly and quickly you were gone.
God needed you both for grater plans.

My Angels Mummy wanted you so much.
She wanted to feel your touch.

Mummy has been blessed because she held you in her womb.
Mummy has 2 Angels above.
But it's not where she wanted you to be.

Fallen Angels

They fell from heaven above,
And came with no love.
They fell into earth,
And brought with them so much hate.
They came with so much powers,
And corrupt earth with bad manners.
They wander all around our world,
Destroying our world with their evil sword.
They came with so much evil,
And disturb our peace like an upheaval.
They take away our joy,
Playing with our lives like a toy.
They cause us so much pain,
Making us suffer so much in vein.
They inject us with sin,
Bonding us with it like a twin.
They infect our heart with hate,
Dragging us far away from heaven's gate.
They live among us like our friend,
But are there to put our lives to an end.
They hate us so much,
That they wish to kill us with a single touch.
They enter our heart,
And tear it apart.
They deprive us of happiness,
Filling our days with so much sadness.
They make us have a taste of hell,
For they never wish us well.
They seprate us from the light of heaven,
And also deny us of the peace of heaven.
They are angels of the dark,
Marking our faces with the beast's mark.
They are angels with no wings,
And are dark angels but no kings.
They are not spiritually pure,
And wish for no cure.
They are not of God,
For they are of the world.
They will never be called God's angels,
Forever they will remain fallen angels.

Go Down, Death

Weep not, weep not,
She is not dead;
She's resting in the bosom of Jesus.
Heart-broken husband--weep no more;
Grief-stricken son--weep no more;
Left-lonesome daughter --weep no more;
She only just gone home.

Day before yesterday morning,
God was looking down from his great, high heaven,
Looking down on all his children,
And his eye fell of Sister Caroline,
Tossing on her bed of pain.
And God's big heart was touched with pity,
With the everlasting pity.

And God sat back on his throne,
And he commanded that tall, bright angel standing at his right hand:
Call me Death!
And that tall, bright angel cried in a voice
That broke like a clap of thunder:
Call Death!--Call Death!
And the echo sounded down the streets of heaven
Till it reached away back to that shadowy place,
Where Death waits with his pale, white horses.

And Death heard the summons,
And he leaped on his fastest horse,
Pale as a sheet in the moonlight.
Up the golden street Death galloped,
And the hooves of his horses struck fire from the gold,
But they didn't make no sound.
Up Death rode to the Great White Throne,
And waited for God's command.

And God said: Go down, Death, go down,
Go down to Savannah, Georgia,
Down in Yamacraw,
And find Sister Caroline.
She's borne the burden and heat of the day,
She's labored long in my vineyard,
And she's tired--
She's weary--
Do down, Death, and bring her to me.

And Death didn't say a word,
But he loosed the reins on his pale, white horse,
And he clamped the spurs to his bloodless sides,
And out and down he rode,
Through heaven's pearly gates,
Past suns and moons and stars;
on Death rode,
Leaving the lightning's flash behind;
Straight down he came.

While we were watching round her bed,
She turned her eyes and looked away,
She saw what we couldn't see;
She saw Old Death. She saw Old Death
Coming like a falling star.
But Death didn't frighten Sister Caroline;
He looked to her like a welcome friend.
And she whispered to us: I'm going home,
And she smiled and closed her eyes.

And Death took her up like a baby,
And she lay in his icy arms,
But she didn't feel no chill.
And death began to ride again--
Up beyond the evening star,
Into the glittering light of glory,
On to the Great White Throne.
And there he laid Sister Caroline
On the loving breast of Jesus.

And Jesus took his own hand and wiped away her tears,
And he smoothed the furrows from her face,
And the angels sang a little song,
And Jesus rocked her in his arms,
And kept a-saying: Take your rest,
Take your rest.

Weep not--weep not,
She is not dead;
She's resting in the bosom of Jesus.

The Birth Of Man

A Legend of the Talmud.

I.

When angels visit earth, the messengers
Of God's decree, they come as lightning, wind:
Before the throne, they all are living fire.
There stand four rows of angels-to the right
The hosts of Michael, Gabriel's to the left,
Before, the troop of Ariel, and behind,
The ranks of Raphael; all, with one accord,
Chanting the glory of the Everlasting.
Upon the high and holy throne there rests,
Invisible, the Majesty of God.
About his brows the crown of mystery
Whereon the sacred letters are engraved
Of the unutterable Name. He grasps
A sceptre of keen fire; the universe
Is compassed in His glance; at His right hand
Life stands, and at His left hand standeth Death.

II.

Lo, the divine idea of making man
Had spread abroad among the heavenly hosts;
And all at once before the immortal throne
Pressed troops of angels and of seraphim,
With minds opposed, and contradicting cries:
'Fulfill, great Father, thine exalted thought!
Create and give unto the earth her king!'
'Cease, cease, Almighty God! create no more!'
And suddenly upon the heavenly sphere
Deep silence fell; before the immortal throne
The angel Mercy knelt, and thus he spoke:
'Fulfill, great Father, thine exalted thought!
Create the likeness of thyself on earth.
In this new creature I will breathe the spirit
Of a divine compassion; he shall be
Thy fairest image in the universe.'
But to his words the angel Peace replied,
With heavy sobs: 'My spirit was outspread,
Oh God, on thy creation, and all things
Were sweetly bound in gracious harmony.
But man, this strange new being, everywhere
Shall bring confusion, trouble, discord, war.'
'Avenger of injustice and of crime,'
Exclaimed the angel Justice, 'he shall be
Subject to me, and peace shall bloom again.
Create, oh Lord, create!' 'Father of truth,'
Implored with tears the angel Truth, 'Thou bring'st
Upon the earth the father of all lies!'
And over the celestial faces gloomed
A cloud of grief, and stillness deep prevailed.
Then from the midst of that abyss of light
Whence sprang the eternal throne, these words rang forth:
'Be comforted, my daughter! Thee I send
To be companion unto man on earth.'
And all the angels cried, lamenting loud:
'Thou robbest heaven of her fairest gem.
Truth! seal of all thy thoughts, Almighty God,
The richest jewel that adorns thy crown.'
From the abyss of glory rang the voice:
'From heaven to earth, from earth once more to heaven,
Shall Truth, with constant interchange, alight
And soar again, an everlasting link
Between the world and sky.'
And man was born.

Rus' You Are But A Kiss In The Frost

Rus', you are but a kiss in the frost!
The midnight roads are blueing.
Lips joined in a blue lightning bolt,
Clasped, he and she are blueing.
Sometimes at night lightning would spark
From the caress of two mouths.
And a bluing, languished lightning bolt
Would swiftly outline two coats.
And the night would shine intelligent and dark.

Between bright stars one had lost its way

Between bright stars one had lost its way
whipping a third of the other stars down
with its curly tail, inciting them to decay
and I wonder about the origin of that one

but a much brighter light shone in the heavens,
leading wise men from far off in the east,
moving past every other star and planet,
with a host of angels coming with a confession

that the God of the heavens
had come to man on earth,
daring life as a mere human
and a crowd followed Him

at first wanted to make Him king,
and when they did not comprehend His kingdom
they became thoughtless,
hitting nails through the God of heaven and earth.

After the Storm

The storm is done--the lightning with its lust
To rend the unhallowed dome in ruin dire;
The purple heaps, from the rank chaos thrust
On sheets of fell and inauspicious fire;
The thunder bellowing loud on every bound;
The hissing bolt, so tossed as to complete
All permutations of Satanic sound;
The flood that opened heaven and ransomed it.
Benign now is that beatific blue.
The flame that fires the hill is now remote
From aught in evil. Clemency anew
--Crowns every leaf, and sings in every throat.
Shall, then, the rage of earth and heaven depart,
And not the rancour of the unsensing heart?

a Thunderstorm claps outside

There’s a thunder storm that claps outside
and lightning bolt after lightning bolt flashes past
and the first big drops fall
slamming on the roof
and there are cats and dogs
that finds shelter
and cosiness inside,
but it’s far better
to sit right against you
and to get a portion
of your own
spinach and feta quiche

Not All Angels Cry For You

Angels tears raining over the earth
For love's pain and love's feeling
Not all angels cry for you though, not all angels love you
No angel can lift you to heaven or damn you to hell

When you feel the rain, a divine connection
Feeling a part of heaven inside your heart, a feeling you know
A feeling like one you've felt before because of another heart
And one you'll never forget, no matter how much you try

So heaven's too high for us
And hell's too sad
Whether they've ever existed doesn't matter, they exist to everyone
And because they do, angels don't cry for you

Psalm 135 part 2

v.5-12
L. M.
The works of creation, providence, redemption of Israel, and destruction of enemies.

Great is the Lord, exalted high
Above all powers and every throne:
Whate'er he please, in earth or sea,
Or heav'n or hell, his hand hath done.

At his command the vapors rise,
The lightnings flash, the thunders roar;
He pours the rain, he brings the wind
And tempest from his airy store.

'Twas he those dreadful tokens sent,
O Egypt, through thy stubborn land,
When all thy first-born, beasts and men,
Fell dead by his avenging hand.

What mighty nations, mighty kings,
He slew, and their whole country gave
To Isr'el, whom his hand redeemed,
No more to be proud Pharaoh's slave!

His power the same, the same his grace,
That saves us from the hosts of hell;
And heav'n he gives us to possess,
Whence those apostate angels fell.

A dream

Like a blue white lightning bolt
hitting one of us
from a clear blue sky,

or a meteorite falling flaming
out of a tranquil black night
right on our house
without a chance in a million

I dreamt of you
even years before us meeting
and that dream came true
right out of the blue.

I believe that our lives are fixed
by more than stars,
by more than mere chance,

by powers far greater
than just destiny
and that God holds His mighty hand
over you and me,
that the Lord straightens the way
and lays it out.

Broken-wing Angel

Out of a sapphire blue heaven
I fell down to earth,
while I reached with my right hand
for the stars.

Michael and Gabriel was with me
when a thunder stroke
clapped blinding out of the darkness
and hit my right wing and singe it.

The forces of darkness
was suddenly everywhere around me
and with a last desperate swish
of my left wing
and with a flaming sword
I tried to stop
that they lay there hands
on a child in Clanwilliam.

Today there’s a marble statue
at that child’s grave
and no man knows,
why I protect that piece of earth
with a broken wing.

Crack The Sky

the thunder outside
echoing across this land,
a voice of reason across insane minds
and stable hearts
the lightning crack
that tears the sky,
as if thousands of screaming voices
lamenting their tormentations in hell,
they split the sky
a crack a bolt a jolt
of thunderous lightning
Zap to the soul what youth has lost
and rewrite our chemistry
filling the blood with seeping hot plasma,
oh lightning you crack the sky
and bring about the new
it's raining, it's raining,
oh it's raining
and the lightning splits the sky
a crack a bolt a jolt
of thunderous applause,
as the kingdoms of man go out of style
and the retrocity of our species
begins a new,
it's raining, it's raining,
oh it is raining,
and the lightning cracks the sky
so that one day we will know to fly.

a Messenger from above

The rain came and came again
like only in the Cape,
in deep winter it can be.

The pain came and came again
like only in a dying thing
spreading throughout the body
and drenching all of it.

Yet it was a thing of the heart
and far apart
from illness, or accident
or broken body.

That desolate night
the sky and sea
and earth was blacked out dark
and a chill rose as if from the soul.

The metal of the revolver
gleamed ominous in the dark
and the man took a deep breath
before cocking back the hammer
and pressing the barrel
against his breast.

Somewhere against the clouded
night sky
a lonely gull stretched its wings
against the raging gale
as if a living thing
could out fly
a torment sky and sea
and could be free from it
and all catastrophes.

One lightning bolt reported sharp
and flashed bright
lighting up the night
and it fell and fell
like a messenger from above.

No bird was still in that sky
and as darkness fell
the man wondered why
and his reflections on ending
his own life
was stunted by a dying bird
that wanted to live.

What Mother Nature?

The often used phrase Mother Nature that to many seems to be so dear,
When used to describe the weather's maker is very blasphemous I fear.

The term is simply degrading and not befitting to The Creator of all,
And it is just one more sign of the depravity created by man's fall.

The Creator Himself makes the clouds his chariot in the sky up above,
And He rules from His Heavenly Throne with both wrath and with love,

He's not mother tending nature, but the Sovereign Master of the sky,
Who sends rain on both the righteous and unrighteous from on high.

From His hands He sends the lightning flashing down upon the earth,
This is The Creator's gracious warning to all of a new storm's birth.

God then follows this with the sound of His Majestic Awesome thunder,
And all this is just a small glimpse of God's Mighty Awe and Wonder.

When it becomes cold God sends the snow to blanket the now bare land,
Leaving a beautiful winter scene painted by The Master's Mighty hand.

The breath of God produces ice and the broad waters become frozen.
And the ice and snow that covers the earth stops the labor of all men.

No one truly knows from where the lightning and hail is dispersed,
Or exactly how and why the ice and snow is spread upon the earth.

The test will be the tribulation for all the learned and the wise,
To explain how Mother Nature made hailstones 100 pounds in size.

Bible in Poetry: Revelation 4

1And then, I looked and saw a door
Before me, open in heaven.
The voice I had first heard, then spoke,
A trumpet-like to me and said,
'You come up here, and I’ll show you
What ought to take place after this.'
2At once, I was in Spirit’s way,
And there before me lay a throne,
In heaven, on which someone sat.
3 The one who sat upon it looked
Akin to jasper, carnelian.
An emerald-like rainbow lay,
Encircling throne in gorgeous way.
4Around the throne were twenty-four
More thrones, and elders sat on them.
They’re clad in dress of purest white,
And wore gold crowns upon their heads.
5 And from the throne arose flashes
Of lightning and peals of thunder.
Before the throne, blazed seven lamps,
And these were God’s seven Spirits.
6 Before the throne, there was a sea
Of glass that appeared crystal-clear.
Around the throne, in the center,
There were four living creatures, who
Had eyes both in front and in back.
7The first creature was lion-like,
The second one was like an ox,
The third one had a face like man,
The fourth looked flying eagle-like.
8Each of the creatures had six wings,
Covered with many eyes around,
And present ev’n under its wings.
All day and night, they said non-stop:
'Holy, holy, holy Lord, God,
The Almighty, who was, and is,
And is to come.'
9And whenever the creatures gave
Glory, honor and thanks to Him,
Who sits upon the mighty throne,
And who lives for ever and ever,
10 The elders fell down before Him,
Who sat upon the heav’nly throne,
And worshipped Him who lives forev’r.
They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

11'You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory, honor, pow’r,
For You created all the things,
And by Your will, were they created,
And have their being forever.'

G.K. Chesterton

Gloria in Profundis

There has fallen on earth for a token
A god too great for the sky.
He has burst out of all things and broken
The bounds of eternity:
Into time and the terminal land
He has strayed like a thief or a lover,
For the wine of the world brims over,
Its splendour is split on the sand.

Who is proud when the heavens are humble,
Who mounts if the mountains fall,
If the fixed stars topple and tumble
And a deluge of love drowns all-
Who rears up his head for a crown,
Who holds up his will for a warrant,
Who strives with the starry torrent,
When all that is good goes down?

For in dread of such falling and failing
The fallen angels fell
Inverted in insolence, scaling
The hanging mountain of hell:
But unmeasured of plummet and rod
Too deep for their sight to scan,
Outrushing the fall of man
Is the height of the fall of God.

Glory to God in the Lowest
The spout of the stars in spate-
Where thunderbolt thinks to be slowest
And the lightning fears to be late:
As men dive for sunken gem
Pursuing, we hunt and hound it,
The fallen star has found it
In the cavern of Bethlehem.
