Requiem For A Marriage
Far too short it took you
when you started to be estranged from me,
when you found another lover
and we both found ourselves
where that which you did see in me
was only for monetary purposes,
daily you stopped laughing,
you were gone from me during the night
while you were charging on after happiness
and I dared my life for you
but still at times you loved me,
somewhere the end did begin
when our love suddenly did die

Love You More
Twas 12 am, in the soft of the night,
12 am in the glow of a lamplight,
When you whispered, 'I love you more.
You love me, but i love you more.'
I still remember feeling my heart melt.
Still remember the warmth i felt.
That someone loved me despite my mistakes.
That someone was messaging me, to say hello 'fore i was awake.
The reassuring touch of your hand;
You pushing me over into the sand.
For once in my life, I found myself living a dream
Or so it seemed,
But as i finally found, your words were an illusion:
All part of a delusion.
As the rot which had long set made you break,
And suddenly, my little world was left in your wake.
I found myself gazing into space-
Wondering how one can say 'i love you more' to the face
Then break and run
Spurning the said and done.
My puppy love suddenly was faced with a rude awakening,
As i discovered how it feels to have your heart breaking.
All throughout, i remembered that night, 'i love you more.'
I finally realise you just said it then, but didn't mean it at all-
When you said 'I love you more.'
Didn't know you didn't mean it at all.
Sometimes I wonder if you loved me ever,
And at times I wish you never.
I no longer know if what you said,
You actually really meant.
If there ever was a time when you loved me,
I just can't see how it could be.
But i loved you, still love you like before,
And sadly i've come to see: i love you more

A Muslim Lady
I am a Muslim lady to think about a course,
But love is all that i see in this man;
And now that i have found my true lover,
What can i do?
Think about it and put me straight,
For i am a woman and never been loved before;
But now that i have found my true lover,

My true lover is a Jewish so,
Think about it and put me right;
Oh religion! Oh religion! ! Why this division?
Put me straight to make a positive decision,
For this is the sweetest time of my life;

A birthday: Far too long
Far too long I have been wandering
in all seasons even summer and spring
and at times I have lost, at other times
I had experienced the kindness that you bring
and at times in vain
I have tried to conquer destiny with pain,
have just been struggling on
right through sunshine and rain
and suddenly my life has changed
almost as the divine had it rearranged

Love Come And Gone
You were not always gentle but you never failed to love as strongly, as you did everything, you loved me.
It was a fire in you and it pained. I think you hated loving, were afraid of it, as though it might expose some tender scar that never truly healed. But I was grateful even for the cruel, insensate passion that lashed against me. Perhaps I needed punishing. My own love was not always gentle.
You were a god I had to own, keep to myself and could not even share with you. When we first joined our love a trumpet sounded from a storm that rode the shoulders of the night. I lay sheltered, glad to be afraid, in your arms with your lips hard pressed to mine and I drew warmth from you that would never cease protecting me against the rages of boiling from without and from within.
You were my other self, my only love, a self I found and had not known was lost until that moment when I felt you grow within me. It was as though I had created you. No separate lusting flesh was ours that night but one united.
We could dare anything and did. We dared to be reborn in the music of the morning, dared to die a little when the cello sounds of twilight sang. But Love's a celebration not a diary of days. You felt the weight of my dependence and the candle we had lit was not enough to see by. The dearest lovers do not walk in unison or it becomes a prisoner's march.
So we moved on, two rivers forking out from their main stream. You to your work and I, a woman what could I do? I tried to love. I never found myself again as I had lived in you, but I found love of sorts to ease the pain of living.
