On the day that they nailed Him to a cross
On the day that they nailed Him to a cross
the shepherds went to the fields as they usually did,
eating that afternoon under the shadow of a tree
but when the sun suddenly
at three o’clock was setting they were dumbstruck
looking astonished at the animals
that were going back to the corral
and darkness fell across the earth
and it looked as if it was night
while nature rebelled at the death of its creator
and quickly they went home.
Graves outside the city was torn open
while the curtain at the temple ripped right through,
while people at the crucifixion
in darkness crowded together
and frightened soldiers were wondering
what was happening
when people without fear said
let His blood be on our hands,
they cast darkness over their descendants
and the whole of humanity,
over each one in every nation
and over the whole of humanity
there hanged a shadow
while He gave the last convulsions,
about the death of God
in which everyone shared
from young to the old,
even them in the highest positions.

Three Hours of Darkness
When upon the Cross of Calvary, great darkness fell for all to see,
For three hours upon the land, a darkness many didn’t understand,
That time after Christ was crucified, the time He suffered and died,
A time filled with silence too, when Christ had died for me and you.
Darkness surrounded His death, as He approached His last breath,
Darkness on the land was unfurled, around The Light of The World.
Silence fell on the mocking crowd, whose evil shout was very loud,
As the light scattered the darkness, hearts again, showed hardness.
Upon Christ God placed on Him, the darkened iniquity of man’s sin,
Made to be sin for Adam’s race, upon that cross He took our place,
And God couldn’t look and see, that sin Christ bore for you and me,
So through that dark span of time, God the Father had turned aside.
As Christ was on that bloody stake, the Son, the Father did forsake,
He gave His spirit, at His last breath, to His Father, as He saw death,
The earth quaked, opening graves, and bodies of saints were raised,
And as that Temple Curtain torn, the Age of Grace by God was born.
A soldier with sword and rod, said “surely that was The Son of God.”
The Son of God for all sinners lost, was taken down from the cross,
Thinking of that cross, we must recall, the Lamb of God died for all,
He died upon a bloody stake, so His Resurrection we could partake.

Darkness Of...
Darkness is not the darkness of night
it is the darkness of mind and soul.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of discrimination between poor and rich.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of dishonesty.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of aggravate.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is darkness of corruption.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of indiscipline.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of animosity.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of inveterate.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of perjury.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness that we all brought up inside us,
so, light the lamp of light inside you...

Deep Darkness Spread Throughout All The Land
Deep darkness spread throughout all the land that day
as men nailed You to the cross and had their way.
There full atonement for all mankind was made
as our sins upon the Lamb of God were laid.
Sin divided the Triune Godhead that day
for as You hung there The Father looked away.
'My God, My God, why have you forsaken me? '
You cried when hanging on that accursèd tree.
Alone there upon the cross You bore my shame
and beneath the wrath of God took all the blame.
Then into the Holiest place You ventured
drawing back the great curtain as You entered.
There in that inner sanctuary You stood
And cleansed this poor sinner with Your precious blood.
A never to be repeated sacrifice
as my scapegoat by Your death You paid the price.
From the top to bottom the curtain was torn.
The penalty for sin in Your body borne
Now with reverence and awe I can approach
the throne of God without rebuke or reproach.
Written as prelude to Easter and based on Matthew 27: 45-56
Shadows of Hate
Hate
Fear
Anger
Love
Hiding in the shadows is now where I can feel it home so why not just
stay there
Shadow peaceful still quiet at last
So why must we all destroy them with bombs and guns and all the
flashes in the weapons still be there
Why must we always make so much noise in this world that takes away
the peacefulness of the shadows
Why must we always kill each other use so much violence in the world
to make so many into graves just because of thing like
Hate
Fear
Anger
Love
Power
All those people need to be sent into the shadows just to know what
they can truly hide from the world
To truly know all the people that love to be in shadows that grew up
living in them and know how much they can come in to hand when all
that people fear is in them
And those people all the only ones that can come even remotely close
to being truly afraid of the light
So why do people destroy the darkness
Hate
So why do people stay away from the darkness
Fear
So why must people kill the people of the shadows
Anger
What can make all people stay together even in darkness
Love
Why must people always try to control the shadows
Power
All people are evil but nobody will ever notice it
Through all their own evil will shine through

Darkness, only darkness
Land of shadow
Thats where my heart goes
Now Im alone, Im on my own
Voices, I hear voices
Sounds in the still night everywhere
But youre not there
No, youre not there
Imagination brings you so near
I reach for your lips, but theyre not here
All of my memories are closing in as one
I walk a little faster, than I start to run
Darkness, only darkness
Land of shadow
Thats where my heart goes
Now Im alone, Im on my own
I long to hold you, thrill to your charm
But how can I hold shadows in my arms?
I reach to find you, stumbling through the night
Searching in my sadness, looking for the light
But theres darkness, only darkness
Land of shadow
Thats where my heart goes
Now Im alone, Im on my own

Death. A Dialogue
Soul.
'TIS a sad Land, that in one day
Hath dull'd thee thus ; when death shall freeze
Thy blood to ice, and thou must stay
Tenant for years, and centuries ;
How wilt thou brook't ?
Body.
I cannot tell ;
But if all sense wings not with thee,
And something still be left the dead,
I'll wish my curtains off, to free
Me from so dark and sad a bed :
A nest of nights, a gloomy sphere,
Where shadows thicken, and the cloud
Sits on the sun's brow all the year,
And nothing moves without a shroud.
Soul.
'Tis so : but as thou saw'st that night
We travail'd in, our first attempts
Were dull and blind, but custom straight
Our fears and falls brought to contempt :
Then, when the ghastly twelve was past,
We breath'd still for a blushing East,
And bade the lazy sun make haste,
And on sure hopes, though long, did feast.
But when we saw the clouds to crack,
And in those crannies light appear'd,
We thought the day then was not slack,
And pleas'd ourselves with what we fear'd.
Just so it is in death. But thou
Shalt in thy mother's bosom sleep,
Whilst I each minute groan to know
How near Redemption creeps.
Then shall wee meet to mix again, and met,
'Tis last good-night ; our Sun shall never set.
JOB, CAP. IO. VER. 21, 22.
Before I go whence I shall not return, even to the
land of darkness, and the shadow of death ;
A Land of darkness, as darkness itself, and of the
shadow of death, without any order, and where the
light is as darkness.

The shadow of Cain (a reply to Edith Sitwell)
Man did not heed the cloud,
the cloud looking like the hand of man
and I saw lightning falling from the sky
and it was manmade,
thunder that exploded in flame
came down and down again
and in the dark clouds of death
the sun was blotted out
the bright cobalt sky was torn away
and men died as if being dolls made of clay
but on the hands of the living
the marks, the shadow of Cain remained
as killers of fellow men, slaughters in war
of a enemy
decided by politicians
whose hands were covered in blood
and these soldiers were young once,
only boys just out of school,
whose manhood, humanity had been stolen
and now were bomb happy
half crazy soldiers
who wanted nothing more than peace,
who needed tranquillity
and on their knees knelt to the living God
and sought his presence
while coming back from the bush,
from war, the fires of hell
begging forgiveness for taking killing shots,
for launching rockets, mortars
and throwing grenades to remain living
and was now torn in body and soul
and never complacent
offering their lives to the Greatest of generals
not knowing how to dispel
their own suffering, memories
and overpowering guilt
that made some weep
and they trusted
that the gates of hell
and eternal damnation
would be smothered, quenched
by the blood of the One
who died for all
knowing that He did not die in vain
and offering Him the pain,
standing in His shadow
as mortal men
true to the living king
when the day of Judgement comes
as did the thief on the cross.

Earth Safe
Death paints darkness at noon
Earth not feared of death
Death paints darkness at noon
Sun shines sky so bright
Death paints darkness at noon
unkind eyes dark so blind
Volcanoes erupt, whirl winds kill
Towers collapse thousands peril
Terrors kill, humans destroy
Death paints darkness at noon
Earth not feared of death
Rivers flow, Oceans flow
Nature green, universe calm
Earth safe, safer than ever....

My Friend, Death
Suicide
An escape from the world
From all the sorrow
The pain
The hurt
An escape from the darkness
Into the darkness
Never to come back out
I've looked for other ways
I've found other doors
But all of them were locked
The only door opened is death
Death will cradle me
Death will wipe my tears away
Death will comfort me
Death will love me
Death will do what no one else could
Death will understand
Death will be my friend

it is quiet in the night, as the clock strikes mid night the darkness creeps over the night like a shadow of a person. but no one will be awake till the sun comes back, or if the light breaks thourgh the sadness and darkness that looms over the mid night time.
this the mid night the will end the chapters of the night.

Phenomenon
How dark the night has become
that even the Southern Cross fades away
for hours before daybreak
and with it all the other stars are gone
as if this darkness swallows everything
and even the moon is under siege
and stargazers wonder what awaits humanity
while the darkness challenges their science and equipment
and how dark night has become.
No science can explain it and there is something unreal
from which this darkness comes that even conceals the sun
as if this darkness swallows everything
and this phenomenon draws the attention of the whole of humanity
and there are politicians making wild theories
for hours before daybreak
and religious leaders get upset
since the secular world does not comprehend the impact
from which this darkness comes that even conceals the sun
and they lay charge after charge
and there are deliberated with the key question:
how dark the night has become?
Preachers rise and are convinced that man does not serve God right
and that judgement is at hand
since the secular world does not comprehend the impact
and that something is going to hit earth with a bang
and the destiny of man is loudly lamented
for hours before daybreak
as if God is deciding the lot of man,
as if the universe has come to a standstill
and the judgement is at hand
and people even think of an outer space invasion
and alarmed they drive up and down.
How dark the night has become
for hours before daybreak
and the darkness just keeps on and on
and with it all the other stars are gone
as if the universe has come to a standstill
and even the moon is under siege.

Shadow Of The West
Written by lindsey buckingham.
Dancing ever changing desert sand
I was burned by the touch of her hand
The setting of the sun scares me to death
Im a shadow
Shadow
Shadow of the west
Once upon a time I was strong and proud
Everything that the law would allow
But more and more
I feel less and less
Im a shadow
Shadow
Shadow of the west
Memories like shadows scorched in the sand
Im alone, a lonely man
The setting of the sun scares me to death
Im a shadow
Shadow
Shadow of the west

of Phobias
Are you that person whom when you walk,
to whom you talk and coming I am, independently?
Whereof the road where you are dark walking
and talking you passing by me in the park.
You by your thoughts then start changing.
And as for me, me for as when, you.
When you have occasion and strange is that,
what you feel a little slower you walk it is dark.
Worry naught of fear, fear of the darkness,
when as for you it is fear, fear of me, fear of the darkness.
Whether the night brings you fear of the darkness,
and fear of the darkness I am coming to soon, I am there waiting.
Someones fear, fear of it fixating upon you.
I whom always it is, must posses.
Someone shakes one finger deep under the wall.
Move the moon to one side, which do you wish it possesses?
You by my deepest, up to the neck darkest phobia.
Yonder over there and your neck it is tearing off the skin.
Lines inbetween which are felt when you cry out and the tears.
Just last night when you felt what you saw.
And the footsteps you heard, it is what it is, and you never thought. Something from the rear and you walking it was heard.
And it is done again and again to the smile on your face.
And your face is right there and for who to see but me.
Because early it you does, to see it for the second time.
It is secured, firmly wrapped around and you think that it is difficult.
Are you troubled with your heart beats the heart underneeth you?
Your fear of your fear, of the shadow it plays in the darkness.
And in your cave and it dances in it comes in from the rear.
Of the eye it is felt suddenly, penatratingly quick much to quick.
To be felt.
Your fear of me of the darkness and this fear of the darkness and fear of the darkness being that of it, will it come to you soon for you.
Someones, fear of fixing and as for me, whom it always it possesses.
Where someone walked out the road,
and to I, of that of whom you it posses and your always afraid.
Not of me, it's your darness you fear, open your eyes and it sees.

Be Anxious For Nothing
We are to be anxious for nothing, as our Lord knows our very being,
God who gave us our very breath, guides us in the shadow of death,
He, who has guided us in the past, knows the future that’s been cast,
With God there’s no fear or doubt, what all of our trials, are all about.
Believers need to look to God, who leads His own with staff and rod,
A Loving Shepherd, filled with care, guides us out of all dark despair,
With His rod when we tend to stray, into life’s darkness along the way,
Then He loving guides with His staff, when back onto His well lit path.
A planned course that’s well lit for us, when we employ faith and trust,
In God’s Word and become assured, by not man, but Christ our Lord,
For all in The Lord make no mistake, none of His own, He will forsake,
Even when we choose to roam, our Shepherd will see us safely home.
The Lord Himself will bar no cost, to find that one sheep which is lost,
To bring them safely into the fold, where God’s Word they will behold,
The Light and Truth, not of this world, which only true believers herald,
Giving us internal light and peace, that in any darkness, will not cease.
Even when darkness does draw near, with The Lord, we need not fear,
For God imparts to us His Light, which pierces even the darkest night,
And He who formed us from the earth, has provided to us a new birth,
Through His Eternal Son, Jesus Christ, Who promises us, Eternal Life.

Watch Humankind Witness Actions
my eyes are watering a lot
in the darkness of night lately
is it because my eyes are tired
a symptom of lack of sleep?
or are my eyes watering because
of the fate of planet earth?
continued brutality the inhumanity
of humanity to humanity?
angels watch humankind
witness actions in darkness night

Dying For Love
Can you hear, the people sing their song
To tunes of glory, they move as one.
Refugees of liberation marching on,
Sing our song, rock the nation, write of wrongs.
When you take of life and steal its shadow, all thats
Left is humanity.
Its getting closer, change is bound to come.
Theres someone out there, holding candles to the
Sun.
Then an answer, says that peace will come around,
Stand in line, take our time and be proud.
Take a life and steal its shadow, all thats left its
Humanity
Take a man and steal tomorrow, all thats left is you
And me.
Here them call you, soldiers all in the fields of love,
Brothers, sisters, children, all dying for love.
Refugees of liberation, marching on,
Sing your song, rock the nation, write of wrongs.
Take a life and steal its shadow, all thats left is
Humanity.
Take a man and steal tomorrow, all thats left is
You and me.
Hear them call you, soldiers all in the fields of love,
Brothers, sisters, children, all dying for love.
Hear them call you, dying for love, those who know
You, dying for love,
Brothers, sisters, dying for love, saints and sinners,
Dying for love,
Dying for love.

Standing In The Shadow
(coverdale)
Im running away from a feeling
Hiding my face in the sand
Im scared to love and lose again
I dont know if I can
I dont need the night to remind me
Where the lonely people go
I try running away from love
But, my heart keeps telling me no
Too many people
Standing in the shadow of love
Too many people
Are standing in the shadow
Standing in the shadow of love
Ive been living so long in the darkness
I know the cold embrace of the night,
When morning comes I close my eyes
cos Im blinded with the light
Taking a chance of a feeling
Is like waiting for a flower to grow,
So I stand at the crossroad, baby,
Wondering which way to go
Too many people
Standing in the shadow of love
Too many people
Are standing in the shadow.
Standing in the shadow of love
Im running away from a feeling,
Hiding my face in the sand
Im scared to love and lose again
I dont know if I can
I dont need the night to remind me
Where the lonely people go
I try running away from love
But, my heart keeps telling me no
Too many people
Standing in the shadow of love,
Too many people
Are standing in the shadow,
Standing in the shadow of love...

United States Of America
THE earths come together
And accede to bow our heads with deference
To the light of the world,
For in the beginning the light said a word,
And the utterance was in the hearts of every American
And it was with the people,
So there was peace and water in the world.
It is the land of America,
Where winter comes every year
Chilling the blood of her populace,
So it is the terra firma of humble America
On which the sun shines day and night,
People working every second bit of their lives
For there is not a night on the land
That would set off these people remember their beds;
And down the curve of years, down
Its battered chronicles of tearful history-
The gaining of sovereignty from the British;
The misapprehension between Negroes and the white man,
The detachment all through the First World War
And change of stance to take part in the Second World War,
The death of grand president j. f Kennedy,
The assassination of a black man’s dream, Luther-
Yes the dark path of her history
Her people have tired and moiled
To put together a once traumatized nation,
The nation that has suffered deeply
The copious accomplishment of the powerful states
Is the route of stability in the world
Of darkness and of day-God
So it is known, created night and darkness-
In dimensions of politics, economy and development;
Oh America is like a lamb
That once rested in the arms of Moses
Oh America is like john the Baptist,
Preparing the pathway for a great affluence
To come to the wretched humankind;
The opulence would be bounteneous
As the oceans and all waters
Even her creator could not draw to a close.
When the world has fallen into
The chasm of darkness
She stands up on the moon
Lighting the earth with a powerful flare,
The people get irradiant with expectation
That as long as there is a super power
Their life shall never get down to graves.
The first knowledge was not developed
In America, though it might be so
Which nation has forever been
So technologically sophisticated? None
Like the son of man who lived
On the graven and scrawny earth
For over three eventful decades
Who was sacrificed in the broad daylight
So humanity may live evermore,
So that emancipation might save,
America is the sacrificial lamb,
Sacrificed every day so that
Enemies of social equality and tranquility
Might not hit upon a place in the universe;
Oh is there one who
Is as kind as the soaring states?
In the moments of hitch and crisis,
Through immense suffering appalling
An American will shed a tear
Down the right eye but
The left shall keep on vigil to find a solution:
After all JOB suffered to the tip of demise
But one day when hope he had all given up
He got well and lived well eternally after
In the kingdom of his creator,
When an American feels broken down
He will read the book of Ruth:
‘And Naom cried but he could not give up on life’.
Oh America is fine-looking
Like the sunup rose bright
The creator must have lived on the land
Ere He quite to the mansions of heaven;
Oh America must be revered
For when you see her defense forces
You see security and protection on the face.
The brilliant land of America
Has seen the most great writers
Like Ernest Hemingway, Walt Whitman,
Maya Angelou - who should be a poet laureate;
The entire world let tag on the way,
The savior and the star of the world,
For today never shall it be like tomorrow-
Tomorrow may be a ferocious war
But in wings of the America,
In the shadow of the shepherd
We shall come back victors
To have defeated the adversary hardheartedly,
Oh God bless America.

Darkness
Darkness, darkness, hungry to the bone
Darkness, darkness, take my body home
God, Im in love, Im in love...
She like a pooker
She holy roller, love me like a song
She like a lightning
She roller coaster, til the break of dawn
She like a shadow
She all around me, nasty hearted dream
She got the sexy
She do it to me, wake me when I scream
God, Im in love, Im in love...
Now I lay me down to sleep
Goodnight
Pray the lord my soul to keep
Tonight
If I die before I wake
In your arms, my love cant break away
Darkness (she like a shadow)
Darkness (she all around me)
Nasty hearted dream
Darkness (she got the sexy)
Darkness (she do it to me)
Wake me when I scream
God Im in love, Im in love...
